I bought mine from Amazon India and it supported Jio VoLTE out-of-the box!
Could you share more details about what is broken? Maybe a screenshot or two?
You can always seek a refund from Amazon.
Cheers

Not on T-mobile in the US.
I've seen some people who say it does and some who say it doesnt. I have AT&T and no VoLTE, but it might not be enabled with my carrier yet (I just opened the account less than one month ago).
I have the Verizon version and I don't get wifi calling or VOLTE.
Doesn't bother me as I'm always best wifi.

So VOLTE AND WIFI CALLING doesn't work at all on the unlocked version? That sucks

Not for T-mobile. I called T-mobile and they blamed Motorola. I called Motorola and they blamed T-mobile. Maybe WiFi calling in a future update. I have my "enhanced calling via LTE" setting checked but haven't seen the VoLTE icon ever pop up. I've always had volte on my other phones. So I know it's available in my area.
VoLTE should work on T-Mobile. Both the unlocked MOTO Z and MOTO Z Play have been certified by T-Mobile. You won't see a VoLTE icon in the menu. However you can check it by making a phone call and if the phone stays on LTE you know its working. VoLTE probably will not work on the Verizon version of the phone but only on the unlocked model.

Nope. No WiFi calling. I confirmed with both T-mobile and Motorola. Plus if you Google it, there's an article confirming Motorola is not supporting wifi calling on T-mobile.

You would think that Motorola would see it in their interest to support wifi calling on T-Mobile. It would certainly make the MOTO Z more attractive to T-Mobile users. Other unlocked phones from Google, Samsung, Apple, and HTC support both VoLTE and wifi calling on T-Mobile. In spite of this Motorola shows no interest in supporting this.
Volte on tmobile yes no Wi-Fi caling
I am a windows 10 mobile user on AT&T, and know that the device itself has a lot to do with VoLTE being active. What on the Moto Z Play enables/provisions/or is missing for VoLTE/Enhanced LTE to function (files\binaries\etc..). VoWiFi is seperate from VoLTE I thought...correct?
I ask since I recently purchased one of these to have an Android around the house too.

Check out the bands that the device supports and the bands you can use with your Service Provider.

Hi, sorry for the delay in reply. Perhaps i should have been clear in op. I have checked the frequency bands of the carrier and z2 plus does support one of the frequencies. But i could not find any info about which variant it referred to. It was generic information about z2 plus. So i am looking for someone to confirm it about the Indian variant, or at least point me in the right direction. Thanks

VOWIFI for our moto phones

will it be possible to port the vowifi and volte feature from other supported devices to unsupported device ? like for ex: JIO supported phones are Moto g6, Moto one power in Android 10, e5 plus, etc.
I have heard that JIO and Airtel carriers are rolling out vowifi support for devices in India.
Kindly share your thoughts on this

Verizon Moto Z Play T-Mo Band 12 VoLTE

My brother gave me his old Verison Moto Z Play to replace my crappy Coolpad Catalyst.
I'm on T-Mobile and the Moto was originally on Verizon. It's a 1635-01.
I see that later Motorola sold the Moto Z Play unlocked in the US with pretty much all the LTE bands as version 1635-02.
Is it possible to flash my 01 with Motorola firmare for the 02 to get band 12 4G VoLTE?
If not I'm guessing there's no other way to get it to work with T-Mobile's VoLTE which is supposed to be band 12, right?
Anyone?

Partially correct.
The Moto G200 is the global variant of the Motorola Edge S30.
Moto G200 is similar, but not the same phone (different cameras and slightly different design).
The global variant of X30 is Moto Edge 30 Pro, and the USA variant is Moto Edge Plus 2022.
@Legza
While the sub-forum is about the Moto Edge X30, the OP asked for the Moto Edge S30. This is the reason why you can find a reference of the Moto G200 in the previous post.

Excuse me, can S30 use the Rom of G200? I bought S30 recently.
I think that if everything internally are the same maybe you can flash the ROM.
But is a risk you need to take.
how can i flash G200 ROM to my EDGE S30 ? i want a guide so i do it correctly
