No it won't work because after update in updater it won't install with twrp so root is not problem for ota update.

Download and flash the full 3.2.4 rom, supersu and xposed. Your xposed modules/settings should still be there.
You may loose custom recovery. In this case you'll have to re flash it. Then flash su and Xposed.
if OOS notices you're rooted it'll automatically download the full zip to flash (1.3gb) and when you flash it you'll lose xposed and root but you just need to reflash those zips to get them back. The OTA will flash fine in twrp w/o replacing twrp.
If you want to use the incremental zips in the future then before you flash anything. Take a boot, system image, and EFS backup in TWRP (system IMAGE is important and you need official OP3 twrp to do it.) After you have that backup then flash to your heart's content. When an update rolls around grab the incremental zip from that thread here on XDA. Restore your backup and then flash the update, take a new backup for the next update and flash all your things again.
I have never rooted my OP3 and got this update. I'm now getting this after this update:

OP3 Official update installation

So I'm running OOS 3.2.6. which is rooted. In the software update it shows 3.2.7 (1.3GB) available for download but it also says "Root detected, downloading full upgrade. Note: your device will be unrooted." So if i download and install this will it work ? Also, whats the best way to install official updates on a rooted OOS ?
You need clean install of oxygen before you can update regardless, just have to reflash su again afterwards and any kernels xposed you use.

You can easily install it, but after the download su will be removed, so you will have to reflash it.

I'd recommend flashing stock recovery before downloading the OTA update as twrp "sometimes" fail to flash OTA updates. Also flashing the 1.3 gb full update will remove your root. You'll have to flash supersu again for root. And you'll have to do this everytime an OTA comes.
The best way to install official updates on rooted phone is to download the patch only file for 3.2.7 and flash it via twrp. The patch file will be around 40-50MB and it is available somewhere in the XDA threads. Search for it.

Best way is to download OTA update from oneplus forum instead of complete ROM and just flash update

I did try that for the 3.2.7 update. Dirty flashed the OTA patch but it didn't seem to work. It's still 3.2.6

Do the same thing as before? TWRP should work now, so Magisk or supersu should be good to go.

Yes, but you'll have to flash the stock recovery and boot images from your current update (2.38.617.6) prior to taking next OTA or it simply won't update. If anything you or apps do using root to mount system as RW (or modify it), you'll have to flash stock system image prior to taking OTA as well. Best way is to restore stock system image and boot from TWRP backup then find stock recovery on forums or extract from current RUU and flash stock recovery then take OTA.

Backup downloaded ota update without root

Hi, i have an acer t07 device. When I try to update my phone through ota, which is 400mb, during the installation it fails. And then i have to download again the update. Is there a way to backup or save the downloaded files so it wont download again? Without root if possible. And also, custom recovery does not still work for my last-year-released device. Thanks

If your device rooted or custom recovery installed then can't flash OTA update because of modifications in system partition. OTA check system if found any modification then OTA update abort.

updates un-root my phone?

I rooted my phone and I get an update from OTA.
But it says your phone will be un-rooted.
Why does this happened? Is that normal or there is a way to update my phone without un-rooted?
Just download the update and download superuser zip
http://www.supersu.com/download
Now flash the update in twrp and after that flash superuser so root will stay

Magisk is OK just flash it right after the update
download full zip,
flash it and then flash Magisk without rebooting.
you'll lose root and custom recovery otherwise.
