Restoring "Android System" app on HTC E9+ - One (E9+) General

Hello Gurus,
I have a rooted HTC E9+
I was playing with some application "Device Control [root]" trying to uninstall unneeded system apps (AVG)
I mistakenly selected "Android System" in addition to the "AVG" app, once I clicked on uninstall, everthing started to collapse -understandably- with applications crashing, and finally I had to reboot.
Now, the phone is stuck at the HTC boot screen:crying:
I'm trying not to avoid losing my data, so I'm looking for possible solutions other than flashing the whole thing.
I'm thinking if someone can upload the apk for "Android System", may be I can side load it via adb, so the phone would be able to boot-up again.
Would that work?
Anyone has a similar phone to send me that apk?
Thanks in advance

[Q] Help unrevoked just doesn't seem to work, no errors reported

Hi, Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
I hope someone can help. I am trying to root my HTC Desire using the latest Unrevoked software.
I have followed all instructions, (removed htc sync, installed the usb driver). I have run the software and it did it's thing and says root is done. I can see the Superuser app in my apps. I installed titanium backup which requested Root access fine. I granted it, but titanium backup came back saying it couldn't get root access.
I have run the unrevoked software a few times and it doesn't seem to fail, or throw any errors at all.
This is the process:
Plug phone into computer (Windows 7 ultimate).
Run unrevoked sw.
It pushes the recovery image.
Reboots a few times.
Says it is getting root.
Says "Triumph" etc. Finished with Done.
Final reboot goes to normal phone fully booted.
Still cant get root.
If I boot into the boot menu I see the following information:
Bravo PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT 0.93.0001
Microp 0.31d
Touch Panel SYNT0101
Radio 5.09.05.30_2
If I select recovery menu I can see the Clockworkmod recovery menu is displayed.
I have an unbranded Desire running the HTC OTA 2.2 Froyo update.
Android Version 2.2
Baseband: 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2
Build number: 2.10.405.2 CL226611 Release keys
SW number: 2.10.405.2
Am I missing a step somewhere or should it just work, one button press?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
I did mine on Windows 7 ultimate x86 so it is possible on that OS
¿Have you select "Charge Only" and "Remember this" when you have plugged the USB cable?
¿Are you sure your phone had USB Debugging turned on by having gone to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development and checking USB debugging?

Yep. I have followed all the instructions. The process runs fine it just doesn't seem to work, or im doing something wrong. Is there anything I need to do in the recovery menu?
I was unable to root my phone using Windows 7 64bit. When I used a computer with a 32bit operating system, I had No problems.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I installed titanium backup which requested Root access fine. I granted it, but titanium backup came back saying it couldn't get root access.

That's a bug in Titanium, i had it 2 or 3 times, too.
Check that "Apps from other sources" thing (don't know the exact name in the english rom), restart your phone and run titanium again.

Well I've managed to get it working. I had to install the busy box application. Not sure what it does but titanium backup now works.
Thank you for your help.

Sync-Manager problem while reinstalling

Dear friends,
long time ago you were so kind to help me with my HTC HD2.
Now I have a problem with my HTC One X on my WinXP-Computer.
After buying, I've downloaded the Sync-Manager and installed it.
That time it worked perfect.
After noticing this program just works with USB-connection, I installed "MyPhoneExplorer" for sync my Smartphone with Wifi and deinstalled the Sync-Manager.
Now I lost the Drives what appears in the Windoes-Explorer to transfer Data from and to my One X.
Each time I connect my One X, a error appears "USB-Decive is not recogniced"
So I tried to reinstall the Sync-Manager in V 2.0.41.0_htc.
Before starting the install-process, I deactivated my antivir-program.
While running the Setup in some DOS-Boxes appeared in fast order while perform to install the drivers, as the Sync-Manager-Setup title says.
The last of the DOS-boxes says "Path not found" before closing itself.
Unfortunately my One X wont accepted, if I connect this device with USB after installing process was finished and shows the error "USB-Device is not recogniced".
The Device-Manager says "unknown device" in the section "USB-Controllers".
If I open the settings of the unknown device (what just appears, if my One X is connected), it says driver from Microsoft in V 5.1.2600.0 from 07/01/2001 are installed for this device with the devicecode "USB\VID_0000&PID_000\5&C0AA250&0&4"
If I press "update" - "not jet" - "Install from list" - and choose the folder "C:\Programs\HTC\HTC-Drivers\XP_x86" the system says "no drivers found" - the named devicecode is not existing in the Inf-Filed in this folders (the listes devices starts with "USB\VID_0BB4...").
Then I tried to:
deinstalling the Sync-manager again,
deinstalling the unknown device from device-mamager
deleting all HTC entries from the registry,
rebooting the computer
and tried again to install the Sync-Manager - same result - DOS-Boxes cames up and "says folder not found" - thinking this is the problem for unworking drivers.
What I can do to get my drive letters from the One X back in the Win-Explorer?
Can anybody help, please?
Syncing with MyPhone-Explorer works fine, but for some cases it is much more better to have drive-letters for the sd-card and the device-mem.
If I forgot to give some importent informations to solve the problem, please feel free to ask for them
kind regards
Veronika
Uh, I am so stupid...
Excuse me please.
The problem was the USB-cable, I have used.
When trying connection with the origin white HTC-cable my One X was recogniced.
Never known, USB-cables are different.
Now my device have the code starts with "USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0DFB&..." and is shown in the Sync-Manager.
But there is just a new drive-letter "G" (CD-Rom) what says "insert CD" in my win Explorer.
No drive with the SD of the One X is visible ;-(

[Q] Bricked 816 cuz I changed BUSY box installation location

I had a unlocked rooted S-ON A5_dwg hTC desire 816
It had installed busy box app installed on its own when it got rooted,
When i opened the busy box app, there I had an option to install the app in some particular location there.
But due to some error that wasn't getting installed in that path, it suggested me to try in a different path or system directory,
I selected another location from the drop down menu in that busy box app. then tried installing, but it still didn't, but some error occurred and the installation got aborted.
From that time onwards, I wasn't able to install any app from Google play store, it showed some error in installing the app.
Then i tried switching on radio, but the radio app wasn't switching on. and then i tried to power off the phone to restart, but now
1.) The home screen, apps arre gone,
2) Not recognising sim cards,
3.) The phone is bricked,
4.) It is not getting detected on computer although the usb is detects.
I took it to service centre guy at Jayanagar, Bangalore, that guy says, nothing can't be done since the phone is rooted and the only means of fixing is to change the motherboard which costs 7k INR, which i cant afford. :crying::crying:
Please help me, am crying without any phone in hand. Please someone help me. :crying::crying::crying:
Thanks a ton in advance...!

Flash Firmware to HTC One M9

Hello,
I bought a HTC One M9 and after 1 year, the device hat a bootloop. When I launched the device, it starts until there was a message "Optimizing Apps" (German: "Apps werden optimiert").
I think, the phone made an update and got an error. (I can't say it, because it's not my one.)
Because of this problems i tried to recover the phone and only got an red triangle. I thought, the phone was broken and sent it to HTC in poland. While the phone was sent in, i found out, that i had to push some Buttons to recover the phone.
Now, HTC said, the phone has a water damage and sent it back to me.
Now I have a phone, which only boots into the bootloader menu. I can't start the recover mode (there comes an error message) and also can't start into the download mode.
The phone also starts only into the bootloader mode (bootloop).
I can communicate to the phone by fastboot (not by adb), but some answers are empty.
For Example:
I enter: fastboot oem get_identifier_token and the answer is empty.
Also the answer for the battery Status is empty. (i can't say it exactly, because i made the tests one week ago, but something like: "accu-capazity: "
I think, because of this answer, the RUU tool stops flashing with the error message, that the accu-capazity is not high enough.
What can I do?
Thanks for any help.
Try sync manager or the original ruu if not rooted.
If rooted try flashing a rom from the sdcard.
The "optimising apps" message is an app you've installed that either doesn't have an odex or you've uninstalled an app and it didn't erase the odex. Rogue apps is the answer to the original problem and you didnt need to mess with the phone.
Beamed in by telepathy.
Hello,
thanks for your Reply. I've forgot this post.
I have an original phone, i didn't root it and also changed something on the System.
I've tried the sync Manager but there's no Option to repair my phone.
I also downloaded a RUU File. It's not verificated for Windows but the Setup seems very trustly.
Do you have other ideas to fix the phone?
According to your last answer, you also think, that this error isn't triggerd by an water damage?
There is no way that message can be caused by water damage.
Beamed in by telepathy.
But is there a way to fix the phone?
I can't get to the download mode, the sd-card method didn't work and the RUU tool says, the accu is to low.

PLZ HELP: Android System keeps stopping.

I have a Magisk Rooted, Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ (SM-N975F), stock ROM running Android 10.
When I am booted in Root mode I try to open a file in the "My Files" app and I keep getting the error "Android System keeps stopping" but when I try in un-Rooted mode it works perfectly fine.
Is there a way around this issue that does NOT involve me having to wipe all my data and files because I believe this has something to do with anti-root implementations or something of the sort since the files open fine when I boot un-Rooted but throw the error "Android System keeps stopping" when I boot with Root.
I can provide more device information if needed, I mostly understand what I am doing but I am by no means a "Rooting Pro", I would consider myself intermediate at best.
Thanks in advance for any help that can be given.
