This is truly awesome!
Is the knowledge you earned available somewhere or just in your code? I'm excited with RE-ing MTK incl. 2502 though didn't do much myself.

Excellent! I've got Xiaomi Mi Bunny Watch Q - and struggling with it's firmware - already managed to edit MCC/MNC and activate it outside mainland China with ANY cellular operator (with 2G support)
But still have some problems - biggest is Chinese time on watch screen. Less important are Chinese voice prompts ("calling to grandmother" / "father is calling to you" / "successful internet connection")
My fullflash is attachment! If you can - please share your tool with me - would like to sniff through my firmware and try to modify it
Thank you!

Hello,
This is a good news you implement this tool.:good:
Could I try it to do some changes on my smartwatch?
Could you send me it in MP?
Thanks a lot,
Helium45b

I hope OP is still reading this thread. In any case I will tag oxatools. I found out my DZ09 watch is SPD. I see mocor and spd6531 to be exact. How? when I plug it in turned on, there is a third option - pc connecting. The other 2 options were udisk and charging. When I click pc connecting there was a pop up that said it needs to install serial scsi drivers. And then finally I see ports in device manager. they are
SPRD SMCC AT interface1 com4
SPRD SMCC AT interface2 com7
SPRD DIAG com3
I have been using the flash tool for this smartwatch but nothing is happening. Can you tell me how to use your tool for this watch? I would like to see if it has wifi or gps and also add video capability and voice commands. Yeah sure. But you never know your tool might do all those in this $10 watch. LOL.
This is the third thread I posted this on. All I need is guidance what is the proper tool to use for this SPRD watch?
This is what I see on *#3646633#
software platform version - mocor_12c
HW version - sc6531_bar
chip type - sc6531
actually there is a lot of list option on this code. I see
IQ mode
Para set
App set
Like over 10 option list and when you click those options theres a lot of sub menus too.

None of the tools found on the network work with my phone's firmware files correctly. Perhaps the program developed by You will appear in paid access?

Hello! Thank you for responding. I replaced the main menu icons in "resources", I will be grateful if you embed them in the firmware. But it would be more interesting and useful to change the translation of some menu items, because the translated names simply do not fit on the screen and it is not clear what you do when you click. Is it possible to carry out such a thing?

Save conversations with Samsung Wave

Some firmware have the function to record calls.
www .badaforums.net/forums/samsung-wave-forum/save-conversations-with-samsung-wave-t304.html
Badaspain.com's forum user (fjanula) tried to install a Indian firmware and has appeared the option to record calls.
www .badaspain.com/index.php?topic=1326.msg88550#msg88550
Then, user edward2224 found that the key was in the file apps_compressed
www .badaspain.com/index.php?topic=1326.msg98172#msg98172
May be the funtion is installed in the european's firmware but it's disabled.
I hope this information helps solve the mystery.
And sorry for my english level
I dont think that this feature will be available in the official Bada 1.2. Recording calls is illegal in some areas and maybe Samsung will just opt for the easy way out and that is to remove that feature entirely. Maybe some third party developer will create an application for it.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephone_recording_laws
dude you misunderstood something, phone tapping and call recording are different things. ANd call recording is not illegal...
And i think due do conditional launch function available in sdk 1.2, i think one can make a software which will be launched and recored calls while peoples tries to make a call. So a mod in firmware is really not needed (am i right??)
It is funny but we have this function in russian firmwares. It was previously available in european firmwares, however, it seems that finally this function was removed from EUR.
I think the function really is available in all firmwares (it's more easy to samsung firmware developers) and later maybe is disenable with any parameter.
But some people in the Spanish forum tried to find this parameter without success.
For me it is very comfortable to record calls when I'm driving and I can not write.
LeidenSpain, if it so important for you, you may try russian firmware - it has spanish language as well.

oh guys, so sorry, no spanish - only english and french and others.
the latest one is S8500XEJL2 (bada 1.0.2).
Here is the link: http://narod.ru/disk/2022054001/S8500XEJL2_badablog.ru.7z.html
Here is how to download from the russian filehosting:
¿Is there indian or russian firmware with bada 1.2?
apps_compessed.bin is edited in hex editor so it is so hard to edit right now
you can ask adfree for that function but i can't guarantee that he will make it available

Customize your firmware

For Bada 2.0
To enable (or disable) some fonction directly from firmware.
Extract CSC with tool (WaveRemaker), go to CSC\SystemFS\Settings\PreConfiguration\Default\NV
Open nv_original.ini
To change browser's user agent add this command: NV_SI_UAGENT=the user agent you want to use
Exemple:
NV_SI_UAGENT=Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.0.3; fr-fr; GT-I9000 Build/IML74K) AppleWebKit/535.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) CrMo/16.0.912.75 Mobile Safari/535.7
You also can active others, like:
- Battery percentage => NV_SI_BATTERY_PERCENTAGE_ENABLE =1
- Disable Mode vibrate => NV_SI_MODE_VIBRATE=0
etc.
The file after looks like that
#Version
Version=1
#NvId
NV_SI_ADM_PRE_CONFIGURATION=0
NV_SI_MODE_VIBRATE=0
NV_SI_BATTERY_PERCENTAGE_ENABLE =1
NV_SI_UAGENT=Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.0.3; fr-fr; GT-I9000 Build/IML74K) AppleWebKit/535.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) CrMo/16.0.912.75 Mobile Safari/535.7

After modifying, rebuild the CSC and flash your wave.
There are a lot of other things, to see all actions, plug your wave to computor, run Stune and open Settings/Default/NV/nv_default.ini
If you find interresting things, thanks for making your feedback
What works?
- NV_SI_MODE_VIBRATE=0
Vibrate is disabled
- NV_SI_BATTERY_PERCENTAGE_ENABLE =1
Battery % is enabled
- NV_SI_PHONE_SLEEP=600
Backlight time (15s, 30s by default, 60s, 180s, 600s)
- NV_SI_UAGENT=
Browser user agent you want
- NV_SI_NETWORK_DATA_ROAMING=1
Roaming is enabled
- NV_SI_USE_PACKET_DATA_ENABLE=1
Packet data is enabled
- NV_SI_MOTION_SHAKE=0
- NV_SI_MOTION_TILT=0
-NV_SI_MOTION_TURN_OVER=0
- NV_SI_MOTION_SHAKE=0
Motions are disabled because I never use them lol
- NV_SI_LCD_CONTRAST=13
To adjust brightness, 15 by default (set 5 on wave). If you want 3, put 13, etc
Some other interesting do not work (Fake call, light sensor, Wifidirect, etc)
Is there a list of all NV_SI available??
NV_SI
Here's a complete list of NV_SI items.
"After modifying, rebuild the CSC and flash your wave."
Is the 'rebuild' just saving the file as uncompressed CSC?
Can I then choose the new CSC file when flashing or is there something else I need to do before flashing?
Thanks!

Maybe Font path... for easier Fontchange...
Code:
NV_SI_FONT_TYPE_DEFAULT_FILE=/SystemCSC/Font/Samsung font.ttf
NV_SI_FONT_TYPE_FILE=/SystemCSC/Font/Samsung font.ttf
Maybe Product Code change...

But I think their are few more usefull settings possible.
As some differences in bada 2.0 Firmware... since bada 1.x...
Best Regards
I wonder if it is possible to update this thing without losing any data
I already tried with Stune with no success
Can anyone post possible paths of such a file ?
Maybe i missed one of those
Thanks in Advance
Best Regards
Edit : I see these files only
/Settings/Default/NV/nv_default.ini
/SystemFS/Settings/PreConfiguration/Default/NV/nv_original.ini
/NV/nv_default.ini

Edit 3 : NV items addresses in hex-decimal format are attached for faster investigation
NV/nv_default.ini
This is hidden folder...
NV means NV items. You can also reach them, if you know ID via Qualcomm Tools.
But this config list seems easier.
Yes, in theory maybe with Multiloader it could be to flash only such text file to change NV item.
But no idea how...
I'm new to Samsung.
Only 1 year experience.
Maybe someone else has experience with Qualcomm models from Samsung and know how to change NV items in other way, without dataloss and without Qualcomm Tools...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
No idea if possible to change this file... with effect and no dataloss... never tried
NV/nv_default.ini

Maybe it is possible to use Multiloader in this case, to change Product Code...
Need to be confirmed.

Just don't change of settings
Or you will have to add a setting to the concerned file of the settings menu.
And I have no idea how to do this. I even wonder whether it is possible...
How to delete operator name on notification bar?
Very good.
Thanx lasentenza
I will now use these:
Code:
NV_SI_BATTERY_PERCENTAGE_ENABLE =1
NV_SI_PHONE_SLEEP=600
NV_SI_MODE_VIBRATE=0
Maybe someone found more usefull settings?
And maybe someone know how to flash this with Multiloader?
I mean only the NV items ?
Maybe as ETC in Multiloader?
nv_original.ini

NV items edit with a flash to overwrite old files doesn't change NV items for real
It just replace the files with newer ones
Sorry you have to do a full flash with newer CSC file to get it working

[Q] No 4G/LTE capability after IMEI repair

My G3 was reported as stolen (presumably by the seller) shortly after I bought it, so the IMEI was blocked on my network. I sent the phone to the US for repair and, after some hassle and a complaint to Paypal, I received it it by return post almost 6 weeks later. Not sure if I can mention the "repair" company here but PM me for details, if you'd like them.
The phone now works on Edge / 3G but will not connect to any Australian 4G network. I've tried flashing the European (4.4.2) tot and Australian 5.0 tot but the situation persists. In slight desperation, I'll try the Hong Kong tot later today but in the meantime, does anyone know of a solution?
Possibly useful info:
There is no EFS backup.
The (new) IMEI is displayed in Phone Information and with the "06" code entered in the phone.
The model number is D855 (not D855K or any other variant)
The phone was rooted and running (I think) ANHD Lollipop when it was sent in for repair.*
Extensive searching has not produced anything that has been of use.
LTE is available in Network Selection and it sticks after reboot, so no need to use 'hidden menu', delete system files, etc...
* Probably the cause. The only instructions given were to send the phone without SIM or external SD card.
Have you tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54621213&postcount=26
Or this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/mod-root-activate-lte-g3-t2819387
Yes. It's nothing to do with settings, I think. I have LTE in settings, no problem. It just won't connect to any band n the hidden menu (I tried each one). Seems that the Australian LTE bands have been knocked out, somehow.
Just discovered that the phone will not connect to data network if GSM only is selected but GSM/WCDMA will switch between EDGE/3G (H - no H+)
HK .tot file did not resolve the problem.

Galaxy Watch R815F - need help with region change

Hello guys,
I have seen a lot of topics on this subject and honestly i don`t know were to start. Yes, i am a old guy and total noob on flashing roms and so on...
Recently my carrier in RO, Vodafone has implemented an option that allows using ESIM on other devices. that being said i proceed activation the option and trying to make my trusty companion R815F to work. Went to Samsung care and they told me that the watch is using an UK region code and will not work with my RO carrier. ( bought the watch also in Romania but .. well apparently it was destinate for other country code)
My watch :
Model number: SM-R815F
Serial: RFAN31FSY2E
SW version: R815FXXU1HVG1 SM-R815FZKABTU
Tizen version: 5.5.0.2
What have i done till now:
- developer mode on
-debug mode on
-download ODIN
-download SDK
-connected to watch via CMD
-tried launch_app csc-manager.csc-pre-configuration - getting an error " internal/external comand ... etc"
Now, being a total noob i don`t understand the next steps:
- do i need combination file and firmware rom for changing the region ?
- do i need to downgrade to tizen 4 in order to do something ? ( how to ?)
- where to find stock firmware - which one to choose because i found something that is paid and i don't want to waste money on something that is not working
Please if anybody can help me or give me a hint were to start it will be much appreciated.
Thank you,
A
Code:
COMBINATION-FT40_R815FXXU1ATA1.tar.md5
Risk because untested...
ATA1 could be dangerous outdated...
No idea from where to download this file... for free...
I will do some search...
Best Regards
Thanks for the feedback. i will wait for your findings.
Hi,
Sorry for being so impatient But did you find something?
Thank you,
A
Sorry.
I have nearly nothing on my HDDs... only really old files.
My suggestion for you.
Search for Firmware Files in Internet...
You can post here what you found. BEFORE you try,,,
For instance start with this file:
Code:
COMBINATION-FT40_R815FXXU1ATA1.tar.md5
Sorry I have my own problems and limited time and energy...
So you at your own...
Good Luck.
Best Regards
You searched for SM-R815 - CombinationFirmware.com
combinationfirmware.com
Here seems only older...
You searched for SM-R815 - Samsung Combination File
samsungcombinationfile.com
Here seems no F...
Found via Google...
I finally made it work thank to user: Jon199102 on Reddit.
He point me to a "hidden feature" of Galaxy Wearables - hidden menu to activate QR code searching/integrating -> auto or manually set up the ESIM. after enabling it i scan my qr code from VDF Ro and 10 minutes later everything was working
I don't really know if it is allowed to post the link to Reddit but here it goes :
https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/qqip1p
Thank you adfree for your time and knowledge sharing. helped me also in understanding a little bit the region change
Thanks

Question editing a file /priv-app/imsservice/imsservice.apk for adding a profile IMS For VoLTE

some background,
I am after thorough tests on the topic of how it works VoLTE and VoWiFi And what causes it to be activated in some providers and in some not.
The source from which I drew all a lot of information was: https://volteromania.blogspot.com/p/samsung-voltevowifi-settings.html?m=1
Actually, I followed all the steps but got stuck on the most important part.
In order to start communication for VoLTE It is necessary to define a profile IMS.
Samsung chose - unlike APN Not to allow any user to create such a profile, but the profiles are inside files json in the file /system/priv-app/imsservice/imsservice.apk
I am very interested in trying to edit the files json These, but all my attempts were unsuccessful.
I have a Samsung S21 ultra Rooted, on which I perform the tests.
I can't edit the APK without hurting him. Any change in it causes the application not to load - and completely disables the service IMS and the registration.
The files I want to edit are in
/priv-app/imsservice/imsservice.apk/res/raw
It's files json simple.
Maybe someone can help me?
im curruntly trying to enable Volte on Samsung SM-N920L korean phone in defferent region..no luck..im rooting for you..if any succuss please let we know too..
I gave up.
This is Samsung's behavior on purpose to make consumers have to replace the phones.
Anyway, in the technical part,
In Android 13, in my opinion, this is not completely possible, since every change in the application damages the signature, but even in older versions it is necessary to change the Java code as well, And as you know it is compiled.
I spent many hours on this, with several devices, I purchased a Galaxy 7 for the tests, and I failed.
I do not know if this still works, but on my SM-9700 (HK) with Android 10 I made VoLTE work in Germany by copying the "product/omc/DBT/conf" from a SM-970F to the corresponding TGY directory of the SM-9700.
I was able to run volte on the galaxy s7.
It requires a lot of changes.
Including in the smali files of the application imsservice.apk and it was a nightmare.
In my case I had to add a brand new provider that didn't appear anywhere, maybe that's why everything was complicated and maybe if it's a defined operator and just enabling the option is simpler.
Anyway,
It really wasn't easy, but I had most of the information from the first post I wrote, but I was also able to find a lot on my own.
It is not easy.
Maybe Samsung will release the source code (including java) of the imsservice.apk application and then it will be easier..
Have you ever tried just copying the content of the conf directory from another phone?
This made VoLTE work on my Hong Kong Note10 (Snapdragon) in Germany.

I have nowhere to copy. I don't have a phone that works with the same carrier I wanted to test. I had to write all the settings myself.
Which carrier do you need? We (the forum) might copy it for you.

I tried Galaxy S7, Android 8.
I don't think the solution I came up with is suitable for every device.

I have an S7 and I need to do exactly what you did - add a brand new provider. Can you share more precise details on how you did it?

Hi,
I would like to have your guidance
I have a LG v60 L-51a docomo model where field test option (hidden menu ) is disabled.
I am unable to enable volte in India to use jio.
Searched various options seems no way out. However i was able to locate hidden apps by using 3party launcher app. LG ims. But unable to launch hidden menu to changed ims settings. Help me to by pass this application to enable volte.
I don't know if this will help anyone, or if anyone can help me, but...
SM910v, (verizon wireless) with T-Mobile SIM
6.01 Marshmallow (please read the rest anyway)
4G/LTE Data works.
Voice calls fall back to 2G/Edge, ie no VoLTE.
-------- HOWEVER -------
Changing the sales_code.dat from VZW to TMO enables VoLTE, and it works great.
(it breaks the settings pages, though, so it's not a solution)
When sales_code is VZW, then IMS Settings-->IMS Information:
All are "false", Registration Information is "no profile is registered", although the profile "T-Mobile VoLTE/RCS" is available and status is 'on' in the Manage IMS Profiles page.
I can not find a way to 'register' it.
When sales_code is TMB,
then, in IMS Settings-->IMS Information:
All are "true", Registration Information is "T-Mobile VoLTE/RCS",
And, of course, VoLTE works great.
I mention this in this thread because just having the correct profile present & available may not be enough. At least in my case, it appears that the sales_code (or some other CSC function) flips a flag somewhere that allows the profile to become selected/active. I've been trying to find it for six weeks, with no luck yet. Thanks for reading.
