Ulefone Power 2 (Real Reviews & Discussion) 6050mAh, 5.5", Fingerprint ID, MTK6750T
Alright, since the thread for previous version of the power was such a success, i propose making a new one for the power 2.
My personal one will arrive in a couple weeks so, so then i'll be able to add my own user experience to the thread.
I'm expecting it to be at least as good as the previous iteration with added or improved features like bigger storage and the 5ghz wifi capability. I will not be able to compare it to the previous version at this moment because my power 1's screen broke several months ago for the second time. Due to the price of a full screen being ~ 50 euro's i did not want to spend 100 euro's total on a (at the time) 160 euro phone.
I was very pleased with it nonetheless and can't wait for this new version of it to arrive.

Hello, it seems like it doesn't support volte and cam is bad at low light. Also the cam doesn't seem like it is 13mp at least!
The speaker is also not that good!
See some lines on pics shot at night!

Battery issues
So I've had this phone for over a month now and I have to say I'm not overly impressed with it performance battery wise (which is the main reason I got the phone)
I've read reviews that say a power user would get 2 days of use out of it.
I'm not sure if I'm a power user but I have to charge the phone every day.
My usage is as follows.
Bluetooth, mobile data , location on all day.
Listen to podcasts / music (sometimes streamed) for a few hours a day. (screen off)
Play Ingress for an hour or so.
Web browsing for an hour or so.
My screen is set to 10% brightness
I do have Facebook / FB Messenger installed which I've read can be a battery drain..
What are others usage patterns / experience of the battery life of this phone ?

Do you have the VoLTE option in call settings on your phone ? It's supposed to have it, like specified in the website Power2 features.

Full UNBOXING video
Camera & 3D Gaming Review
Full Complete IN-DEPTH Review
In this video I show you some Ulefone Power camera samples & a video clip (1:23). I also compare some few pictures with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (00:18), so you can get an idea about the quality. The original HQ pictures can be found here: http://mediafire.com/folder/96gyk9onaa0n5/Ulefone_Power_Camera_Samples
(1:57) Part two in the video is all about gaming on the Ulefone Power. I test 8 different light & heavy 3D games and show you how they perform on the phone. I test Real Racing 3, Need For Speed, Modern Combat 5, Asphalt 8 and others.
(12:13) Part three, I show you the AnTuTu score with AnTuTu version 6.0 and the very dimmed backlight in the touch buttons (12:20), close-up so you can see it.

Known problems so far? (24/1 2016)
Asphalt 8 is only running with software rendering. So far the only 3D game that has a problem with the phone. Other games like Modern Combat 5, Real Racing 3 or Dead Trigger 2 all run fine and fast.
ROM & Updates?
There are in fact some updates out, that can't be found via OTA Wireless Update on the phone.
The updated ROMs can be found on Needrom - just search for "Ulefone Power" on Needrom. I can not link directly to them here.
And the battery?
I have run a Geekbench 3 battery test (on screen time) on the device and got 20 hours, before it died, but unfortunately Geekbench 3 didn't allow me to upload the results. So it can not be found online. But expect 3-4 days good battery life with normal usage.
The Fast Charger can charge the phone from 0-100% in 120 minutes! (I checked it) that is really good.... the charger gives 1.66A output.
Regarding the battery mAh capacity:
I have measured the battery capacity mAh, you can have a look here: (to 5958mAh with a normal charger)
http://peecee.dk/uploads/012016/POWER-S7YLER.jpg
To that you probably need to subtract a bit still, as some will be lost. But seems to be legit.
I was not able to measure the correct capacity with the included fast charger, so I measured it while it just charged via a normal 5V 1A charger.
In real life, I have used it as daily driver, and I could go 3 1/2 day before I had to put it to the charger, so expect 3-4 days battery life. Depending on the usage.
Will this phone work in my country with my carrier?
I can't answer you on that, but you can check it on these 2 sites:

what version are you going to review? the white, the wood or the black version?
One simple question? Is it too heavy? (Tiring to hold while talking maybe?)

It is 196g - so you have to determine it yourself. For me it is okay, I have also seen phones up to 250g - and that's what I call heavy
Any idea about root, or rather, if Xposed + Gravity Box will work on this device?
Also, any ideas why Ulefone chose to implement 32 bit 5.1 instead of 64 bit even though the hardware clearly supports it?
And since I ran into that issue with the Cubot X15: Do widgets and background services like Whatsapp, Gmail etc continue working even after you close the apps and free up the RAM? (Especially noticable on a reboot.)

Regarding Xposed, i don't know if it wuill work or not, this is the first thing i will check once i will have in my hand.
Regarding 32 bit OS.. it looks very strange.. never seen any MT6753 with 32Bit OS..

no chances ... Bliss work only on very common devices and mainly on Qualcomm devices with source code available in github. . Ulefone don0t have chances in this way

thanks a lot! very good indeed!
also in some other case, with Oukitel K10000 , i have had issue with Geekbench battery test uploading results.. seems to have a bug that more than 15/16 hours is not allowed for uploading ...
I'll check mine with Quick Charge 2.0 5V 2A power supply, to verify also your result for Ulefone Power.
It's a really good battery!
Also just made this small comparison/test....
Ulefone Power (Battery Runtime Battle) vs. S6 Edge & LG G3
Was an interesting video to watch but if I am allowed some constructive criticism:
The testing environments were not the same. Some of that is out of your control like different resolutions (1080p on the power vs 1440p on the other two) which drains more power from the higher res devices. The other thing was more controllable though: brightness setting. I know you put both on 100% but that doesn't mean they are equally bright since one phone could be extremely bright at 100% while another is half as bright at the same setting so this penalizes better/more powerful screens as well.

partly agree.. but is really hard to compare in other way..
i'm not so impressed by Power battery performance, 6000mAh on mediatek cpu and 1080p screen, need to double or close to double the battery life of the other two... and i only see the max gap is aroung 10/15%... needo to arrive at power off to judge better...

True, especially since the Galaxy S6 Edge that has a better screen resolution could actually keep up somewhat and it only has a 2600 mAh battery.
Any idea when your phone will arrive btw? Eagerly awaiting the rooting/Xposed reports.
And FWIW, I ordered mine yesterday from Everbuying and it already got shipped out. Didn't expect that since I assumed it was a preorder everywhere.

But the Samsung has the advantage of a AMOLED display. AMOLED will use less power, especially in dark scenes/black and the screen on the S6 is only 5.0 inch.
The Ulefone Power has to power a 5.5 inch LCD with full backlight all the time.
I put my USB measurement tool on a normal 5V, 1A charger (not on the fast charger as I didn't get any real results) and let it charge the Ulefone Power from 0-100%
When it stopped to charge at 100% the measurement tool showed 5958mAh
http://peecee.dk/uploads/012016/POWER-S7YLER.jpg
So from what I have read, this should then be calculated like this
Ulefone Power charged up 5958 mAh @ 5v (nominal) so 29790 milliwatt-hours, or 29.7 Wh
29.7 Wh x 80% efficiency = 23,76 Wh and assuming a battery voltage of 3.8v, then 23,76 Wh / 3.8v = ~6252 mAh
Anyone knows if that is correct? please correct me if I'm wrong with something here - and what does that actually show us then? Is the battery then real?

The Cubot Dinosaur is announced! 4150mAh battery, 3GB RAM, Android 6.0!

Cubot's new phone, the Cubot dinosaur will offer a jurassic experience. They want to solve the biggest issues we experience in cell phones today, namely battery life, performance, and the footprint of the phone. This phone will be 8.8mm thick while packing a 4150mAh battery, and Cubot hasn't been known to lie about their battery capacity. THey are also putting in 3GB of RAM that should help with performance, but are using the MTK6735? Which is a little strange, but hopefully the 3GB of RAM can make up for not using a Helio X10. It also comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is an extremely nice surprise from a chinese manufacturer, as they are generally released with Lollipop.
Full Specs:
MT6735A 1.3Ghz CPU
3gb RAM, 16gb ROM
Android 6.0
4150 mAh battery
5.5" 720 IPS Screen
MicroSD support
13MP (interpolated) / 5MP Front Camera
4G LTE
Dual SIM
USB OTG
8.8mm Thick

Review
Introduction
This is the CUBOT Dinosaur
Hardware
This device is powered by a Mediatek MT6735A SOC clocked at 1.3GHz, with a plenty amount of RAM (3GB) and enough ROM (16GB). It has an 8MP Rear Camera (OmniVision OV8856), photos interpolated to 13MP, and a 2MP Front Camera (GalaxyCore GC2355), again interpolated to 5MP . Follow my next paragraphs to know more.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with some accessories: 1x Rugged TPU Cover (amazingly robust), 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/1A Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, 1x Compliance Regulation paper and the Smartphone (of course). No Headset included.
Unlike most devices from CUBOT, this one has a Plastic Chassis, with a Metal Chassis inside, this makes the whole device robust and lightweight in the same time. Pretty interesting, probably the first time that I see a device with something like this. To know more, just look the CUBOT Dinosaur teardown that can be found on the CUBOT YT Channel.
It is just 15.5x7.9x0.96cm, pretty slim considering that there is a 4150mAh battery inside, and it weights 201g, lightweight enough.
On the front side there is the usual 2.5D Curved Display enclosed in a plastic frame. Sincerely, on this device the plastic frame is pretty noticeable, I don’t know why. The upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors, and rare Notification LED. (only Blue color is supported, not RGB)
On the lower front side of the device there are the Soft-Keys Navigation Buttons (not retro-illuminated), and almost hidden Microphone Hole. (on the left)
On the back side there is the removable plastic back cover, with a nice texture similar to the Xiaomi MI4s.
The upper rear side of the device features a flat Camera supported by a Single-Flash (Single Tone) configuration.
The lower rear side of the device features some words about Model & Certificates, and the huge Speaker hole.
Inside, there all the slots are indipendent, smarter than other devices featuring a common slot where only 1x SIM-Card can be used at the same time if you use also a Micro-SD card.
Device
Screen
CUBOT, even if they do not declare it, choose an high-quality IPS screen on this device, made by AUO. But, it requires some a bit on work on the calibration, because color temperature and other factors are not as they should be. A software update might calibrate it.
Brightness is great, without no issues at all under direct sunlight. The Light Sensor works great too, and supports smooth light changes making auto-brightness much better.
About Viewing Angles, the screen doesn’t suffer any kind of issue, it behaves perfect in every single condition.
Camera
Rear Camera works as on all other devices with the same camera sensor, nice quality but high noise level. Focus is pretty fast though, even better that what I thought.
As you can see, HDR makes photos brighter just like it should.
Flashlight is powerful enough for nice shots, and it is almost required because even with medium light the camera sensor suffers a bit.
As regards Video Recording, there are no major issues. 1080p videos (Video Quality – Fine) are recorded with a decent level of details, just remember that there is no OIS so you can’t expect stable videos. It is just me or there is a slight purple tint?
V Just check my sample here V
Front Camera is decent, but it is just 2MP so do not expect superb quality or high-detailed photos.
Audio
Built-in Speaker is...excellent, similar (be careful, not identical) to the Ulefone Vienna. It is loud, and low-frequencies are here, even if not too much, and it has a nice clarity. Well Done CUBOT!
Unfortunately, it is positioned on the back, and, as I have already said for many other devices, if you place the device on a table you could experience volume issues, but this doesn’t mean that it is a bad thing. As always, what matters here is the quality.
Nothing negative to say about the in-call/telephony quality.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
Thanks to the 4G Band 20 support (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it), I’m almost always and everywhere connected to the 4G Network of my Mobile Network Provider (TIM Italy).
Also 3G Signal Reception is accurate, actually I never managed to get connected to the 2G Network of my Mobile Operator because there was always some 3G Signal available.
4G Network Speed is decent, it highly depends on your Mobile Operator and mine isn’t pretty good. While 3G Network Speed, is just fine.
There is no WiFi 5GHz support here, but WiFi 2.4GHz speed isn’t extremely low, I managed to get connected to my network connection at 65mbps, and Speed Tests reach more or less 35mbps.
Battery Life
I have measured the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and as you can see it is even higher than declared. (declared 4150mAh, real almost 4900mAh) WOW!
Battery Life is just great, thanks to the huge battery. More than 10 hours of screen-on time are achiveable on this device. My PCMark’s Battery test confirms it.
If you are worried about charging times, well...you have to. It doesn’t come with a Quick Charge power supply, so it takes a more than 2 hours to full charge. Maybe they should have used the same charger used on the CUBOT H2 with 5V/2A output, because with my own AUKEY charger, it manages to use nearly 1.4A. The included 5V/1A charger isn’t enough I think...this is a little mistake made by CUBOT. My advice is to use another charger with at least 5V/1.5A Power Output.
Software
Unlike previous devices from CUBOT, this one comes with a completely clean Android 6.0 release, without any customized lockscreen or anything else. Only the Settings app has been categorized, but nothing else. Excellent!
Just like other last-gen Mediatek Devices, there are some typical features such as Gestures, Turbo Download, etc…
The UI is extremely responsive and smooth, no lags at all. Performance is great too, and you’ll see it on the next paragraph, probably the fastest MT6735 device.
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 3, GFXBench, AndroBench, PCMark (Work & Storage) and Vellamo (Browser & CPU Tests) to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – GPU Performance isn’t extremely good, OpenGL 3.1 & 3.0 tests require lots of power, and this is where almost every mid-range GPU falls. OpenGL 2.0 tests are pretty good though.
Other 3DMark tests can be found on my Imgur album linked at the bottom of the thread.
AndroBench – eMMC Performance is the highest I have ever found on a MT6735 device.
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmarks, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
Epic Citadel – As you can see, 3D performance is decent, enough for almost all games.
GeekBench – CPU Performance is nearly as good as other CPUs with the same configuration (4x Cortex-A53), enough to handle almost every type of activity.
GFXBench– GFXBench score is low, but you can’t expect something better with this CPU.
PCMark – As you can see, only Writing score is a bit low. Pretty good.
Work
Storage
Vellamo
Browser score is decent, as good as other MT6735 devices.
The same for the CPU score.
I didn’t expected so high performance on this device. An excellent work has been made by CUBOT engineers, and I hope that they’ll continue to update this device for even more improvements.
Conclusions
With an huge battery, even more powerful that the value declared by the Manufacturer, and with excellent performance, this device is a nice compromise between quality and price.
Do I recommend it? Yes, if you need a long-lasting and powerful enough device, then this is the best choice. If you need a device for heavy-gaming, well...it might be better if you choose something else. Light Games run without any issue though.
Pros:
AUO Screen
Battery Capacity higher than declared
Smooth and Clean Android OS
Notification LED
Cheap
Cons:
Low-End Camera Sensors (Rear & Front)
Single-Color Notification LED
Screen needs to be Calibrated
No Compass/Gyroscope

Yes, you can root this device.
Just flash custom recovery TWRP with SP_Flash_Tool. (https://mega.nz/#!fYkkSSIY!tcpvabiGf1JUPo08pSt22el55LYQIGdA1kh-MNe1vAs) Archive contains TWRP and scatter file for dinosaur.
After that you can flash SuperSU By Chainfire from TWRP.
I just started using this phone and second your awesome its a all good rounder I not sure if I root it its fine for me at the moment as far as I can see its pretty well 98%marshmallow in my opinion ?

A couple of semi-hard questions about MMax3

Good morning
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is certainly a top contender to be the best phone in terms of SOT.
I. Do You think MM3 SOT will be better than Redmi Note 4 (4100 mAh - small screen) and Moto E5 Plus (5000mAh also smaller screen)?
II) Did you experiance ant bugs in the sticj user interface?
III) What would you describe as pros and cons of this phone?
IV) What is your charging time when OFF from zero to 100% using box charger?
and finally do You think that's the best normal looking (not armored type) phone with the best SOT?
I. Perhaps worse, factoring in their specs (mostly screen)
II. I suppose you meant "stock". Really, no bugs except for some annoying things while using the Full Screen gestures:
when typing with a keyboard in one-handed mode it's very easy to hit the areas for the gestures, resulting in missed clicks around the edges of the screen (bottom for the home/recents gesture and sides for the back/switch app gesture).
also you might do it accidentally sometimes but I guess it's just something to get used to.
III. Pros:
Battery life is great for this phone factor
Has a headphone jack
Type-C
IR Blaster
Fast face unlock/fingerprint unlock
Comfortable yet still massive (depends on your hands)
Back camera array is pretty good and you can force camera2api with root.
Cons:
Speaker isn't the best OOB (you can tweak it with Viper though)
Front camera isn't very good
Before-mentioned gesture problems (you get used to it and learn to use it though)
Anti Rollback
IV. I can't really answer that because I don't use my device very hard so it ends up with like 60% at the end of the day if I used it more, also I don't like doing 0-100% charges as I'm anxious about wasting battery cycles, so hopefully someone can cover that instead of me.
Also the looks aren't really something that matters to me, but this phone looks really sleek to me so I guess that's a yes.
Hope I answered the things you asked ^^
1. Yes according to experience and gsmarena
2. Daily driver bug, Swiftkey keyboard resize, and perhaps a few untranslated chinese here and there. China rom 6gb 128gb model.
3. Pros: Roaming NETWORK BANDS, IR Blaster, headphone jack, batt, notchless screen, microsd
Cons: Speakers, rooting & roms, ymmv camera
4. Not sure rarely had to push it that far.. Keeping it above 60% at most times with slow charge to prolong battery longevity.
5. Energizers 16000mah phone will beat this phone.
Overall i picked this for the superior batt, near flagship roaming bands, notchless screen, plus jack and ir, all for a reasonable price.
CPU is just the right balance for lagfree use and batt efficiency. I don't game so GPU power was never what I was looking for.

You've earned your 3rd Thanks button acction!
Absolutely fantastic answer(s)!
Please help me out with these:
1. Very few people understand how important for the phone's ergonomics is the activation of letters, functions or gestures using the "holding hand". It can drive the user nuts.
You know your stuff very well bro.
2. Do You think the 1. will appear also when using 2 hands?
3. I never use use gestures so will the 1) issue be a problem for me?
4. Anti Rollback - what do you mean by this?
5. If your day ends with 60% why don't you let your next day end up in 20%?
6. Does 0%-100% charges waste battery? Some people say it's good for the battery cause it forms and calibrates it.
7. Are You worried about wasting battery cycles because of potential selling of the phone?

1. "Cons: (....) roms, tymmv camera" - can you be more specific? What did You have in mind?
2. 60% why not 20% and..... - The same question as above.
3. "near flagship roaming bands" - can you be more specific? What did You have in mind?
4 "Daily driver bug, Swiftkey keyboard resize" - can you be more specific? What did You have in mind?
Sorry for my bad understanding of English.
Roms: some people would like more custom rom developments to be made available on xda.
Camera: some people think the camera isn't good enough
60% battery: this is best for your phone according to many experts online. The lower your battery level, the more strain there is on the battery to maintain a stable power output. Think of it like collecting water from a well; easy when its full, and harder and harder when it starts to run dry.
Also, heat is the no. 1 enemy of your battery. Quick charge produces more heat. So does car windshield phone holders as you're literally cooking the phone under the sun (i use an air cond vent holder)

3.that Energizergot got canceled
4. Is this bug a very irritating issue?
5. Does it exist in Mi Max 2?
Hi,
1. I get 14h Sot over 6 days from 100 to 0. Normal use without gaming. Xiaomi.eu Rom
2. No bugs for me - runs great
3. Pros: big screen, great batterie, good camera with gcam, headphone jack, fullscreen gestures, price
Cons: None for me
4. In general I load the phone from 30 to 80 in 90mins with non quick charge charger. 0 to 100 with qc I think it is little over 2 hours.

1. 6 days of SOT mmmm that's pure melody. Can You specify more what do You do under your SOT
4. What do You prefer? charging the phone from 30% to 80% or from 0%-100%? Is it fifty-fifty? or do you have a preference for example to charge from zero to 100%? What is the ratio of charging from 30% to 80% to from 0% to 100%? Do You believe and perforem the method of prolonging battery life that is about not discharching the phone below a few tens of % (like 60%-20%)?
5. Is normal charger the one from the phone box? Does the fast charger has to be bouguht sepretly and does it require a special USB cable or normal?
6. Did MM3ax ever lagged or got frozen?
I don`t get 6days of sot. I have 14 hours sot within 6 days standby. Sot is mostly surfing, texting, mails, youtube, news . Some navigation and photos.
Yes, charging from 30 to 80 will hopefully exceed batterie life. It is about lithium ion batterie physics.
Qc charger comes with the phone. I use a different charger with a little lesser output. Mostly because this one fits german sockets other than the original chinese one.
No lags and freezes for me.

WHY THE ROG PHONE 2 IS THE BEST OVERALL PHONE RIGHT NOW ? LET'S TALK...

HI EVERYONE
I'M THE CREATOR OF NUMEROUS POSTS OF ROG PHONE 2 . AFTER ALMOST TWO YEARS I REALIZE THAT THIS PHONE IS THE BEST FOR MY NEEDS . I'VE TESTED MORE THAN 50 SMARtPHONES EVEN MI 10 PRO AND THEY AMAZING JBL SPEAKERS( THIS IS THE LATEST I HAD) BUT BATTERY IS NOT AS GOOD AS ROG , SPEAKERS AREN'T VERY LOUD BUT GOOD QUALITY AND BASSES.... BUT LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS ROG WHY IS BETTER
- IT HAS VERY SOLID BUILD QUALITY. GORILLA GLASS 6 , GLASS AND METAL COMBO, 7000 SERIES ALUMINIUM( ROG PHONE 5 IS WELL COSTRUCTED BUT IT BEND MORE EASILY THAN IPHONE 6 PLUS AND IT'S UNACCETABLE FOR 899$ PHONE.
-FIRST ROG WITH 6000MAH BATTERY THAT CAN LAST UP TO 2 DAYS, EVEN 3 WITH 60 HZ AND DARK THEME!
-IT HAS 3.5MM JACK WITH EXCELLENT QUALITY AND EQ (I REALLY MISS ON ROG PHONE 3 AND MOST HIGH END SMARTPHONES)
-IT HAS PROBABLY THE LOUDEST SPEAKERS I' VE EVER HEARD WITH VERY GOOD QUALITY AND CLARITY+ OUDOOR MODE THAT BOAST TREBLE ( ROG 3 DOESN'T HAVE THIS AND ALSO QUIETER SPEAKERS WITH SIMULATED BASSES)
-IT HAS 2 STRONGER VIBEATOR MOTORS ( MOST PHONE INCLUDED ROG 3 HAS ONLY 1)
-4 WIFI ANTENNAS, 4 MICROPHONES
-FIRST 10BIT OLED HDR 120 HZ, 240HZ SAMPLING RATE DISPLAY WITH VERY GOOD DELTA ( QHD IS NOT NECESSARY UNLESS YOU USE VR, AND IT CONSUME MORE BATTERY AND LOWER THE FPS) 90HZ IS THE STANDARD BASE FOR 2020, FROM 60 YOU WILL NOTICE A DIFFERENCE. 120 IS RECCOMEDED , 144 IS ONLY FOR EXTREME GAMING AND DRAIN A LOT. BUT UI,SOCIAL,GAMES BEST IS 120 FOR EYES
-RGB LOGO. THIS IS COOL FOR NOTIFICATION, DURING NIGHT , IT'S A DISTINGUISHABLE SPEC THAT PEOPLE WILL NOTICE.
-18W CHARGING WILL DEGRADE BATTERY LOWER THAN FAST CHARGER LIKE 65W OR 120 AND MY TIP IS TO CHARGE UP TO 80%. THIS PHONE ALSO SUPPORT 30W. SINCE THE BATTERY IS 6000 MAH I RECCOMEND BOTH . BOTH ARE SAFE
-FIRST ROG WITH ALMOST STOCK ANDROID.ANDROID 9 IS LATEST ROM THAT SUPPORT ALSO GLTOOL ( FUTURE PROOF TOOL FOR GPU DRIVERS) AND ALSO ANDROID 9 HAS RW SISTEM. I RECCOMEND THIS ROM BECAUSE A10 IS NOT AS OPTIMIZED AS A9 AND IT' S HAS LOTS OF PERMISSION THAT MADE MODS, APPS NOT COMPATIBLE. BATTERY IS ALSO BETTER IN A9
-AIRTRIGGERS
-FAST UFS 3.0 STORAGE, LOTS OF RAM STORAGE, LAG FREE DEVICE. COSTANT PERFORMANCE
-2 PORTS. USB 3.1 AND 2.0 FOR CHARGING AND REVERSE CHARGING
-GOOD CAMERA EIS( WITH GCAM YOU WILL DO MUCH BETTER PHOTOS AND VERY STABLE 60FPS VIDEOS)
- VERY FAST 855+ PROCESSOR DON'T OVERHEAT AND BETTER TEMPS THAN LATEST 800 SERIES SOCs.
-BEST ROG EVER MADE FOR AESTETIC ( ORANGE ACCENTS ON THE BACK AND THE SPEAKERS, BACK COVER HAS METAL COLOR, MORE COLORFUL ACCENTS ON THE BACK AND MORE SQUARE CAMERAS AND FRAME, IT HAS MORE GAMING LOOK.
THE CONS THAT NOT AFFECT MY DECISION TO BUY AGAIN THIS PRODUCT:
-NO IP RATING, FOR NORMAL USE LIKE RAIN IS PROTECTED SINCE THERE IS NO DIRECT CONTACT TO MOTHERBOARD
-NO WIRELESS CHARGING, I DON'T NEED AND USE I PREFER 3.5 MM JACK THAN THIS..
-NO OIS FOR CAMERA , GCAM WILL FIX THIS WITH NIGHT MODE AND THEIR AMAZING SHOTS AND VIDEOS ( MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR A GAMING PHONE)
-NO DDR5 RAM OR LATEST SOC: 855 PLUS IS PROBABLY THE BEST SOC SINCE DOESN'T OVERHEAT A SINGLE DAY. IT'S MORE EFFICIENT THAN 865 OR 888. THESE OVERHEATS AS LOT OF REVIEWS. DDR4 RAM IS VERY GOOD IF YOU HAVE 8/12 GB ON A PHONE. NO DIFFERENCE IN REAL LIFE.
-NO 8K. NO NEED SINCE PANEL IS FULL HD AND YOU NEED 8K TV FOR SEE THE VIDEO RECORDED
-NO 5G. IT'S FASTER BUT DEPEND BY COUNTRY COVERAGE. THIS WILL DRAIN MORE BATTERY AND MAKE DEVICE HOT. FOR ME IS ENOUGH 4G+ SINCE IS MORE MATURE TECNOLOGY FOR MY NEEDS
-NO SD CARD( BUY 128 OR 512/1T STORAGE NO PROBLEM)
-WEIGHT( THIS IS VERY BALANCED ON ROG 2 TAKE CONSIDERATION OF THAT)
i bought again from giztop at very good price new for 459$ 8/128 gb is a lot for me and i SUGGEST as base in 2021 64gb at least, RECCOMENDED 128GB
i will modify some my post to get best possible user experience on this phone

Now I'm pondering to choose in dozens of different versions, Android 9 vs 10 vs 11...

Android 9 has best battery life but a lot of bugs, choose version carefully
Android 10 is worst
Android 11 has medium battery life, new features, a lot of incompatible apps that bring bugs like battery draining...

Obviously my impressions with "latest updates" are very bad.
Every time an Android device update (or being forced to), battery life always downgrade or shortened, because phone providers want you to feel sluggish, slowed, outdated, inconvenient with your devices. Then you would want to buy newer models after 3 years.
My friends all used Oppo and Samsung. First stock roms always have best battery life and smoothest experience. Then things went down until 2-3 years later, when every devices become all laggy, jittery, battery hungry.

Ok now I updated my experience so far for Android 11:
2201.211 rom: Cannot root, even if I installed Magisk 24.3 FIVE times - yes I tried so many times and ways to install root
2111.160 rom: Can root after installing Magisk 24.3.
- I then used Mantis Gamepad Pro to use PS5 controller. After 2 days it stopped recognizing inputs.
- Without Mantis Gamepad Pro, I can use PS5 controller but of course cannot map properly in-game
- Battery draining rate with Bluetooth is very fast (even when the only app opened is Mantis Gamepad Pro + Ebook reader), -80% battery in 3 hours
=> I'm back to 1910.35 for Android 9 - doubled battery saving, better performance, no Mantis Gamepad Pro bugs
Also, I need to update two bugs in Android 11:
+ It does not accept chargers from other brands, for me it's TWO different Samsung 18W charger (Android 9 accepted them normally).
+ It does not accept charging after being drained to 0%. I accidentally slept when reading ebook, making it drop from 50% to 0% during the night.
Next day, no matter what kind of charger (Oppo, Samsung, Asus), it flashed green charging circle for 0.5s then screen off. I had to charge using Asus charger for 1 hour to bring it to 1%, then held Power key to enter OS. Then it did NOT accept charging, I had to re-plug Asus charger again to make it recognize charging.

Android 11 has Accessibility bug that's not been fixed in any rom
Fake Camera app also cannot work on Android 11
Besides the better System UI and keyboard switching button - I cannot find a reason why Android 11 is better.
Android 9 consumes 5% per 30 min gameplay
Android 11 consumes 20% per 30min gameplay
This is a huge difference man.
However, Android 9 System UI would often stop working for 5-10s if I use older apps in 2018, which is a little annoying.
