Any way to remove “adding finishing details” post processing on Windows 10 Camera app - Windows 10 Mobile

Hi, I wanna ask is there any of you here know any hack, Interop app tools tweaks or any settings, even on when you’re only Interop Unlocked or jailbroken your Windows phone to disable that pesky “Adding finishing details” which is basically post processing the images, not just ruins it but also slows the process of taking pictures. Because of that, you’ll end up with “Saving…” message on your Windows 10 Camera app on 10 pictures straight you taken, you can’t take unlimited pictures.
Here's some pictures to tell you how it really ruins the pictures. The first every photo is what after the photo is taken, the post processing is still loaded, but basically a screenshot of the screen. It’s almost as good as what really the camera is seeing. The second ones are after the post processing.
Btw. I’m using a Lumia 830 and the very latest build available for it. Yes I got the most recent and latest Camera app update on mine, I dunno but I really think an app update after are what starts ruining the images here, I’m really sure this “Finishing details” aint here before Microsoft implemented this half bakedly, my phone aint shooting pictures this bad. The camera aint that really bad, it’s just the post processing that ruins it. It’s annoying and unacceptable. I can’t file this on Feedback Hub and ask for a fix, since I can’t get any newer updates since Insider Preview ditched my model already on Insider Preview. So please help me fix this the hard way.
Please help me remove this pesky process if it’s possible. I don’t’ want to use a third party app since no other 3rd party camera app has integration with Photos app, aint got Panorama feature, and I don’t want to screenshot every other photo I’ve taken after just to preserve that details.

i had this too on my lumia 830(same issue, was having nice pictures until the final postprocessing). you will need to tweak the camera on interop tools, im on latest stable build(not insider) and it works no prob on mine, so i guess it should be fine on yours too.
once you get ur lumia rooted, access local machine->software->oem->nokia->camera->barc->isenabled
just set the reg value to 0. this will disable postprocessing after you took your pic, will also save your file faster.
if you want the postprocessing back for some reason, just revert the value to 1.

Facebook App MarketPlace 3 issues fixable?

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone else had 2 issues I've run across since using the Facebook app from Marketplace:
1) Sometime when posting comments, it doesnt send to post, anyone have this problem?
2) Does the Facebook app always have to be re-freshed to see whats been posted instead of it notifying you when something gets posted?
3) I know everyone has the photo album not displaying issue I do too, but when I go to HTC Album, I have a freaking list of folders with either pix or no pix, how to I make them not appear in the HTC album when I am picking albums to view?
Thanx
I had the same issues as 1 and 2 and gave up on the app. I use the mobile website for everything except uploading pics, in which case I use the application.
Kind of a pain until someone smarter than me comes up with a good app.
Sux, dont want to use the website, I know they have it working on the blackberry where its real time updates, you'd think they would have done that with this lite app, whats the point of refreshing manually.
the app is pretty worthless, i rarely use it. the manual refresh is horrible. It'll only download the latest (say 25) posts, and if there are 35 new posts on your wall/feed and you refresh, it will only update 25, and when you scroll through them, it would go from the last of the latest 25 to the latest of when you previously refreshed so there would be a gap in your feed...
i use touch.facebook.com and lite.facebook.como via opera mobile and works out very well.
i no longer attempt to use it to post comments because what i found out is its posting on random old posts. it can cause you to say some things you really dont mean.
my other real issue is it will only load the first photo in an album and just sit there rather than opening the next. and of course you cant see who likes a post. hopefully microsoft will fix these little issues so it will be as complete as it is on an iphone or android.
TJoC,
Thanks for the laugh, Microsoft does as little as possible, and in their eyes it works, Being a expert in windows, dont expect MS to be adding anything to this app, MS rather have you jump to a 3rd party. The one that SHOULD make the app is Facebook themselves. But who are we? Just barnicles on the end of a stick.
I went so far to try the Xperia X1 panel facebook, as much as I like its functionality it also lacks simple basic features, like the ability to comment, like/dislike. You would think someone would be smart enough.
Your right, facebook does need to create the app.. They created the app for the iphone and android, what blackberry? did facebook create that or was that RIM?
also since WP7 is due to be released soon, i think MS dropped the development for this as social networking is a big focus for WP7
MS drops everything trying to make the big buck, if they set a dept up to take care of the little things like this, they'd be amazed how all the little cents would add up. They crippled WinMo 7, from everything I have heard and read, I'll stick to the flexibility of 6.5, not that its great, but sure beats the choking factor. If they are so big on social networking, they sure dropped the ball on that front.

How do I tag a photo?

Hi all,
Really simple question, how do I tag a photo that I've just taken with the camera? I can view it, crop it, share even change its name through the "view details" but I can't see any way to tag it. All I want to do is tag photos the same way you can in Windows Vista or 7 so that I can do it there and then on my phone and I don't have to do it for loads of photos at once when I transfer them to my computer.
I've searched these forums and the web but unfortunately most of the results I'm getting are useless. E.g. When I search for "android photo tag" I get stuff about geo tagging, facebook tagging and mainly any sites to do with Android that use a tag system.
I'm hoping I'm just being a dumbass and someone can say "you just do ..." or "get the app called ..." from the market.
Thanks for your help in advance ;-)
I'm sorry, I'm not getting what you mean by "tagging" your photos. Do you mean by giving then extra data via tags, for example "party" or "picnic" etc?
Yep, that's exactly what I mean. Names, places and so on. Then when the photos are transferred to my computer I can find all photos with the dog in by searching for "Koopa".
The only app I can locate that claims to do this is Two Click Photo Register.
I installed Two Click Photo Register but it just force closes every time I try to run it.
I'm really surprised that Android doesn't have native functionality for this as its something I've been doing on a computer for years.
Anyone else got any ideas?
The exif standard thing does have a 'Tag' field I think, its just a matter of fidning or writing an app which can read/write to this field.
I'm pretty sure you're right about it being standard data within the exif and as it happens I am a software developer but I've never written anything for Android before.
Still amazed that this hasn't already been done. If I get some spare time I might have a go myself if Android 2.2 doesn't include it when that comes out cos they are supposed to have made some camera software improvements.
Thanks guys.

To be fair...it's a phone. Why do you expect it to have functionality in complete parity with your desktop computer? I've never seen a camera that did what you're asking and their only function is pictures!
I'm sure someone will one day create a less buggy app to do it, but it's not really an expectation in cameras so it's no surprise this feature isn't in there.
I hear what you're saying with "its a phone" but given that you can do all the social networking stuff with photos just by clicking a button I figured something arguably simpler like tagging would be in there.
It can tag the gps location, the date taken and numerous camera values, that's enough for its purpose I think. But if you're desperate, I can't see it being hard to write something to do it. Might make a good first android project for you.

Evo front-facing camera only does mirror images

The HTC Evo front-facing camera will not take an image in standard left-right format. I can see the argument for providing a mirror image to the display when setting up a picture (self-portraits), but the result (the actual picture) should not be mirrored.
If using Skype through Fring to video chat (which is really cool, BTW if just a little choppy) the video feed I'm providing to the other party is again mirrored.
It's clear there is a deliberate manipulation of the images going on here, but I can't make out why they would do that. Is there some fix, upgrade, or setting that will clear the problem?
I have not yet rooted my phone, and honestly I'm new to Android (much more familiar with security unlocking and re-flashing WinMo phones up to this point) so I might need the less-than-expert explanation if that's what's needed. ;-)
Thanks!
Rich
I remember a few people talking about this right after google i/o, I think they found a way to fix it, ill look around a bit to try to find the thread. It could be a setting in the camera settings also..

Looked around, but couldn't find a solution, but a few people think its a software issue, and has to do with qik and fring. Im not sure though.
nvm, i was wrong

Trying to modify Camera.so to bring back some 1.2 functionality

Been a lot of complaints on other forums about the crippled camera app in bada 2.0 and I'd like to restore some of the fuctionality from 1.2. Perhaps it's not actually possible as all I have seen is the KK5 app brought back to enable front camera, and no 1.2 app for bada 2.0 to restore some of the other missing functions like pause in video recording or editing options. So if this is waste of time please let me know, but I though the main problem was passing the sequrity check which has now been solved thanks to kubika. SO if possible this is the precise scope of the project:
It's not just the ability to pause a video recording, or edit anything after, there's a lot of other stuff too...
NO Image Quality selection
NO countinous/sequance shoot mode
NO sharpness, saruration, contrast adjustment... but still have auto contrast check box... as oppesed to what?!?!?
NO thumbnail or info view for picture when reviewing from cammera app
NO edit fuction for anything from anywhere as already mentioned... though admittedly if I really want to edit a pic I'll probably do it on my PC anyway.
Although a noob at this I do have some expeciance with PC's, and my understanding is that bada apps are in C++ so if one can decompile and recompile the camera app. Then ALL missing functions, with possible exception of editing that probably calls on seperate app, should be easily recoverable in the bada 2.0 camera app. I've actually checked the samsung developer website, and it gives guidelines on how to implemnet many of these functions if whishing to create your own app, so the code should be easy to reinsert even for me in their own app. The one problem may be creating/inserting buttons/tiles for the menus if not already available but simply uncalled, which I hope is actually the case since one can easily recover the record call button.
The main issue is I don't know how to decompile the two apps to read and compare the code, and then recompile them, so could someone please point me to the appropriate program(s) with hopefuly some instructions on how to use them. I think this is something that may be appreciated by many since we can now more easily upload modified apps, and is a relatively simple mod for a noob to atempt... so if anyone can offer some help with that to get me started, it's a project I'd be looking to take up .
innovative ..
liked your idea.
+1
to keep it simple, you can't 'decompile' a binary code to a c++ code, the compiling process is a one-way procedure..

[Q] Xperia M camera is out of focus when using Skype

Hello community !
I own "Xperia M" for a while and I can tell you that the 5M pixel back camera on this phone is worst than on my old "Xperia ray" ! I compared the streaming video on Skype, in the same conditions, with the same Skype application version - - the result is that Xperia ray shows much better quality, on Xperia M the video is darker and lacks in AF. I consider bad quality of the camera as an issue and I would like to know if this could be fixed with a possible camera mod ?
Thank you in advance
No answer ...yet...I think I will post this question on sonymobile website. I need to know if there can be improvement made on the camera. If not I 'll get rid of this phone.
Thanks again.
The C1905 camera really bad, i had trouble with blueish photo taken and worst in night
Looks like a case-closed on "Xperia Care" web portal. This is what I got from there, kinda chat between me and "uliwooly - Forum legend" :
uliwooly:
It's not your phone's issue, its the app, even if its the same version Skype/microsoft has to address compatibility issues not Sony
me:
Ok. Forget Skype for now. I get out of focus image when I connect directly the phone to the computer, via USB cable, using explorer as camera viewer.Or how do you explain, on the phone, not seeing a focused image in preview mode, before taking a picture - as someone mentioned in another thread.
uliwooly:
This thread was about skype, if you have other camera issues, you should post on that ongoing thread, so other users can help you, also don't forget to check this
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Capture-better-photos-in-low-light-conditions/m-p/395397#U395397
one more thing, keep in mind that we are here to help each other, we, users.
me:
I don't know if your job is to create confusion, here on the forum, among us the customers. But:
You provided a weblink - I DID NOT mention anything about low conditions.
If you have admin privileges, please change the title pointing as a general issue for the camera, not only for Skype.
To conclude, I just want to know if the camera quality - a decent quality- can be obtained by software upgrade. If it's a hardware issue I am afraid I already know the answer.
Thank you
uliwooly:
Just contact Sony directly

The feeling is that they believe the camera on this phone is working properly.
Personally, I am going to wait a while to see if a workaround will be provided here on xda-developers. If not, finally I will switch to another brand.
And this is my review for Xperia M on gsmarena:
This phone is having issues with the camera focus in preview mode. Preview mode is used when you launch the camera to start shooting photos, but before you half-press the button to adjust focus. As a result, video calls applications like Skype will look very poor.
