downgrade from......to......?

hello
It would be really appreciable if you take your time to tell me how to use this file to downgrade my Nova plus (MLA-L11) from android 7 to android 6.

I'm not an expert, but from what I know, rollback is not possible because our system get splited in two after you go nougat (system and new_system. This is a part of the new android upgrade/update fast process).
So when you try to fastboot flash a marshmallow img you can't, because it is too large for the new partition size. The only way a rollback would work would be if you flash a new gpt and then MM img.
What exactly is this file?

Fishing season is OPEN :silly::silly::silly::silly:

Don't own this device so a few questions.

Okay, so, one of my friends has a OnePlus 3 and it disappointed in the battery life after the Nougat update, he wants to roll back to Marshmallow.
So,
1. Is rolling back to Marshmallow possible after a Nougat update? Are there any risks for flashing Marshmallow on Nougat's bootloader?
2. Can someone tell me what is the latest stable (don't want betas) Oxygen OS based off Marshmallow.

Remember that op3/3t N have f2fs file system which is unsupported on 3.2.8 (MM). You'll either have to use an old version of custom kernel (I think only bluspark supported f2fs at that time) or convert to ext4 in twrp. Other than that there should be no issue with flashing 3.2.8 over N

This for the devices that has the same firmware version number as been mentioned in the RUU zip file. As far as i know all dual-sim models have different hardware and therefore also different software.
So the answer is no, this is not for ALL variants

You have to run a .exe file from a PC anyway, so it's really not that much more work to just fastboot flash the .zip (or flash it via you SD)

Well, that is true. But when i recieved the phone, it was running lineage over firmware 2.xx.400.52 (nougat) . In lineage, proximity, camera and flash were non functional. I manually flashed stock 2.xx.400.52 , the exact same firmware over to revert to stock, but the issues were not solved. It was then i updated to oreo, and camera app would launch and selfie cam works fine. But proximity and back cam are still not perfectly functional.
I believe that the nougat flash wasn't effective, as i had flashed same firmware. I saw a lot of BYPASS lines on output, and I believe that updater just skipped flashing some components, thinking that they were unmodified. That is why I require a firmware, so that i can get my sensor and cam working.

The exe file on the PC still needs to communicate with your phone. You do understand that right ?

But in bootloader mode it still says software status modified. Befor relock and s on it was official. But phn is now perfect on oreo stock india rom.

To anyone who downloaded the zip and updated to Oreo, could you post the complete /system/customise folder? That would help Leedroid add Jio VOLTE to his ROM

There's an answer to this in the Verizon Note 5 thread. Just use the AT&T firmware instead of for the Verizon firmware.

Which firmware did you try to use because you can only go back so far.. Like you can't go from Nougat all the way back to MM 5.0.1 because of the locked bootloaders! Try downloading and using this firmware.. After it's downloaded extract the file 1 time so you get a .md5 file that odin can use.. The link is below.
Download this firmware and try.

Yes it is passable. You need to find at last firmware with baseband N920AUCS4CPK1. One did you try to flash did not work because it was bootloader version 3 and since you are on android v 7.0 your bootloader is v4. Look for firmware where after S or U you see 4. In example N920AUCS3BPH4 you got 3, this mean bootloader is v3.
Good luck

You don't need to update to 9.5.6. This will ROM will take you to 9.5.11. It is a official ROM, so it can be flashed normally from Recovery.

Hello,
Yes you can flash full OTA of 11.2.6.6LE15BA without any problem without losing anything through local upgrade.
Or you can do what i did, download a downgrade ota file. In my case i was in 11.2.5.5LE15DA and downloaded downgrade OTA of 11.2.5.5LE15BA and flashed again through local upgrade, but since this was a "downgrade" it wipes all data. I didnt mind the wiping since i couldnt wait for the new update for too long.
How to downgrade the current version?

[OnePlus 9 Pro][ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Repo of Oxygen OS Builds
As OnePlus doesn't always provide download links for all of their OxygenOS ROMs & OTA update zips, we've created an index to put the links in one post so that they're easy to find. Note: This is not a support thread for issues you may have with...

No need to be rooted. You go to the Downgrade zips links and download whichever variant you want of the 11.2.5.5. Then through Settings-System updates- Local upgrade, pick the downgraded zip you downloaded. It will promt you that you are Downgrading and it will wipe data, and after you confirm it and install it, phone reboots into recovery wipes data, reboots to android setup.
