Will FM radio every be supported on custom roms like lineage?

Most likely no. If I remember what Jrior001 said correctly, it has to do with proprietary drivers, or something like that, that they can't use.

BTW fm radio works great in stock based roms such as Borets and CleanSTOCK

Never. Asus never released the drivers as they're not open source. Blame Asus.

Who says there is no FM

Some of very good roms are missing FM radio application.
At first I was just changing roms, but some of them are really good, and I really need FM.
So, I decided to do it myself.
Just flash it in custom recovery.

I don't know, I'm not a developer. It's made for 64 bits. I have just picked up files for FM radio from ROM where FM radio is working and applied it here. I didn't encounter 32 bit rom in which FM radio isn't working.

Yes, just like that. I'm not a developer, but I'm an old Linux user and I know how things work. With a little luck I packed all the necessary files to the flashable zip. Tested with the two above-mentioned roms.

Hello guys. Just want to know what is recommended version of TWRP for our nexus 5x ? Im currently using Twrp 3.0.2-0. I've read that it is much stable and working flawlessly. Thanks.???

3.0.2-2 is the latest. But if what you're using is working I'd keep it.

I currently use 3.0.3 from jolla man's latest recovery image. It has material design, multi rom support, and f2fs. And it's always updated when he releases a new kernel with fixes. Works flawlessly for me and no efs restore bug
Jollamans TWRP, stable, always updated and afaik bugfree.

If you keep your file system trimmed then there is no real world different. Benchmark wise, write sites are much faster. However, if you maintain an ext4 partition properly, the real world performance us identical

Yes. It's just the multi rom compatible recovery by itself instead of the whole recovery. When flashing just make sure the option to inject multi boot is disabled. Other than that, rubs like regular feel with an updated interface

Depends if there is a dev willing to port it over, which would require the dev to own this device. If you are willing to donate your device, I'm pretty sure somebody would be willing to port Lineage OS for it. If not, you will just have to wait until a dev gets a hold of this.

*Samsung/mediatek sources aquired for g/f/m/mt
*kernels and recovery.fstab extracted for g/f
*BoardConfig.mk about complete (g/f)
Please be patient as i do not have a lot of time at the moment to work on this port.
Also, it's my first porting attempt

Hi, kind of newbie. I have a (maybe stupid) question. I´ve been´researching and seems that J2 prime (J200H) and Grand Prime+ (SM-G532M/F/G) are the very same phone, can they share a custom ROM? i.e.: forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j2/development/mod-note-7-notification-panel-t3555183
Do you think it will work?

Has anyone tried any GSIs on our device? I see lots of roms springing up for the 7 pro, I'm curious if we could flash them with slight modification.

All dev's busy with OP7 Pro because they got devices from OP. And no one bother what is happening with other ROMs. Now these days custom ROMs dying and it's a bitter fact.
This is a GSI, but I've also seen that omnirom have a device tree up on GitHub. So it's coming ?.

Once TWRP officially support Android 10 I'm sure more and more ROMs and kernels will come.
