Screen on time - Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) Real Life Review

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

Only 4 Hours screen on time....
I am getting a screen on time approximately about 4 hours meanwhile cell standby as 36 hours for an average usage (fb,watsapp, youtube).
Does it means I should not switch on my display but can attend and do calls ? Still using marshmallow as I have seen many disadvantages on noughat update by lenovo. Is this normal to lenovo z2 plus ...or mine is defected..

It is a bit strange, because I get around 5 hours SoT when playing a heavy game, and I rememeber seeing around 8 hours with moderate-normal use. Perhaps if you got the time try to backup your data and then reset the phone or upgrade to nougat.
What are these disadvantages you speak of?

Really so bad sot on 3.5k mAh battery?

No way. The sot is amazing. It's almost twice longer than Le Max 2(i have LeEco, my wife has Z2), especially in heavy use(gaming). Absolutely outstanding.

What sot?

8+ hrs on Jaguar ROM, 6+ hrs on AEX nougat, 5+ hrs on stock. Average I would say at least 4+ hrs. My opinion 'outstanding'

I think Viper will give more sot thn jaguar

I have LG Q6. I'm happy with the phone except the battery. SOT on this is Max 4 hours. But most of the time it will be around 3:30 hours.
So i am thinking to buy this 2 year old phone because i want only compact phone. But I'm worried about battery sot. Users of z2 plus are saying 4 , 6+ and 8+ hours. It's confusing. Could some one please say what is the sot in real.

I don't play gaming. But would install around 150 to 200 apps in phone and again daily usage is nothing but shopping, browsing, listening music, social networking.

Now I'm at 5 hrs and 28 minutes of SOT, 15 hrs from the last charge, with 8% left.
I have 4 mail accounts, GPS always on, feeds, social networks, WhatsApp, telegram use Spotify a lot, browse and edit documents.
This phone is a very good deal for the price.

Battery Stats after One day

So the battery life is looking not bad at all BeginnersTech on twitter tweeted these pics.
My Nexus 5 gets 1 hour of SOT extra, and the applications on the stats looks like they haven't been used for very long..
BUT, "Android System" is on top, meaning that maybe it was doing updates to google services and whatnot.

Your nexus 5 can make 7h SOT? That's plain bull**** (unless you keep it on a desk).
BTW second day by BeginnersTech on twitter with the s6 edge+, damn good if you ask me.

Check it out man, Reading and playing music, and some other minor activities.
I see people in the Note5 forums are getting great battery life so I'm expecting and hoping for the same. I could hit 6 hours SOT on the date occasion with my regular edge. (Although that was literally down to the 1% mark.)
Very nice
It seems there is a competition between the edge+ and the note 5 in battery.. both amazed me really..
I'll just leave this here.

Brightness on 100% and 4G all day (verizon)
Well with 100% brightness and data all day it is normal to get 3,5 hours.. I see that I am going to get 5,5 hours with WiFi usage and brightness set at around 60% but I am only on my first charge cycle..

When you are in home and it is dark there is no point putting more than 60% or 70% since I think it is too bright. I am not talking Automatic option ticked here.. anyway this screen is amazing, if somebody wants to get like 7hours OST to show around here OK be my guest but real life is around 4-5 hours I believe (mixed wifi and data usage)
i get between 7 - 9 sot with my exynos note 4 if the note 5 can top this great but i doubt it
Another day of real world usage
Are you people that get 6 plus hours of SOT on mostly wifi? I just can't see getting that on the network, even with solid strength. The post above me seems more legit.

I've seen a pretty decent variance between wifi and 4g. So yeah I'm about 6 hours sot on wifi and closer to 4 on 4g depending on signal strength.
I've had this phone since Wednesday and since yesterday I've gotten some nice battery life. I'm on pace for 5+ hours of sot.

It was 45 sec by default and now 30 on MM (Freedcam still offer 45 second exposure on MM ). well if you are getting 6 hrs SOT on MM then you must have magical tricks to tell us . Why don't you share ?
Well, no magic tricks, and I'm surprised reading about other people's SOT of less than 4 hours. Phone is stock. Only things I can say is I have auto brightness, logd disabled, and this 6 hours SOT is mostly Internet browsing, email, tapatalk (so no games).
The new marshmallow builds (with the may security patch) are really good battery wise. I also get a really high sot

One plus 3 best rom for Screen on time

Can anyone tell me that which is the best rom for screen on time.i am using stock rom.just me a rom that can give a 5+ hour screen on time...i have posted my usage in screenshot
OOS 4.0.2 with OB7 firmware. Then flash render EAS kernal. EAS will make sure that you get the most battery out of your phone.
It doesnt fully depend on the ROM. If u really want good battery life then its all about tweaking. For example flash LOS14.1 with bluspark/ElementalX/Franco then apply a AKT profile, for further explanation of this head to the advanced kernel tweaking thread and then download the akt APK. Then choose which profile u think suits the best. U can choose from battery/balanced/performance. Then u can easily reach 5h SOT. Hope i helped you.
I have 8-9h SOT on sultan's CM13
Screenshots: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70828408&postcount=668
Beta 11 with Franco's kernel. 4+ guaranteed SOT for me with a moderate gaming ( CoC and CR .... Both battery hogger )
Plus both Sims and 4g data on one is on mostly.
If you want more battery then you should try AKT ZHANA but for me it made my phone slow. So avoiding it at this moment.
Hope it helps. Thanks!
SOT is personal and doesn't mean a lot you can leave your display on with sync off, 0 Brightness and get 20hrs...
Try different setups maybe ditch some apps and log in with optimized sd browser etc
I have got my best SOT with Slimroms
It really depends on usage more than anything else. For example, I'm consistently getting 5-6h SOT on stock ROM and kernel, no doze tweaks or anything. Never got below 4h, once hit over 9h.

I agree with this as well. I think back to my note 4, and just wanted a better that would last until I got home.. I frequently had to plug it up or swap batteries halfway through the day.
Now with heavier use, [and more knowledge of android] regardless of what I do, my oneplus 3 always makes it through the entire work and school day.
H2OS Beta 7, stock kernel + root +greenify +juice defender(default settings). It's the best battery duration I have with OP3. 5-7h sot generally.

Best rom with battery life?

I wanna get the max juice outta my phone.
Can someone recommend a ROM with over 6 hrs of sot?

Please also mention any kernel or battery mods using with attached screenshots.

12 hours sot!!!! Are u kidding us. I'm using the same rom for a week and the maximum sot i got was 6hr.
On aex Oreo latest build i m getting 7 hour + sot with all day volte and 4g data on.
I dont use any mod everything stock.
Pretty impressive.
Using aex Oreo from 2 3 days and getting 8 hours sot,
However i reset battery state so screen shot covers only one hour of usage,
Note: currently I m travelling and cellular connection is weaker so battery is draining 2 3% more than it should be.
Almost 10% per hour sot.

Mediocre battery life

So I bought this phon about 3 weeks ago.
One of the primary reasons was the battery life since I'm not usually near a power supply.
But I've been struggling to get past 5 hours of screen on time on light to medium use.
Standby time is great though. No battery drain, but the moment I start using it, it starts tanking and like 1% every 3mins or so. I struggle to get a full day of use.
I'm running the May uodate, I updated while it was new so I don't know the performance before the update.
I've already reset once and wiped cache. Even in safe mode battery is still weak.
I need help fixing this.

It's decent 3G. Usually 3 bars when I'm at home, 4G at work but I use wi-fi there.
I wake up around 5am and by the time I leave at around 7 I'll be at around 80%. After just reading articles and scheming through social media

yes battery life is not good for 4000 mah .for exemple redmi note 7 with same 4000 mah get way more battery life than a50 . for me i get 7 to 8 hours sot mixed wifi and 3g in one day ( 18 hours to be exact) .it drain 10 % in 9 hours when screen off .samsung need to improve battery life in future updates
Here's a quick tip
Samsung devices tend to drain a lot of battery because of app background usage
try to put apps to sleep ( apps that you need them only when you open them)
Also activate medium power saving if you need more battery
With normal use am getting around 9-10 and sometimes 11 SOT
With games and heavy use i get 6-7 SOT
all of this without any power saving option .
I debloted and now getting almost 9 hours of sot on normal usage on 4g always and dual sim on.. I mainly use for watching videos on youtube. Chatting telegram and whatsapp and calls 1 hour per day
