The best thing you can do is search YouTube for S3 vs S6 videos to get a comparison breakdown. I never had the S3 and didn't swith to Samsung until the Note 3. I can say that the camera is amazing, the speed is awesome, touch wiz is better than it has been in the past, NC to make "tap & pay" payments and Samsung Pay which turns the phone into a magnetic credit card strip to allow its use practically anywhere.

Perfect smartphone, for me!
After a weeks use.. Battery is great, display is great, and it feels much better in hand than the S6..

This is first time when I don't need root. Everything works well. Annoyng sound while booting is away, sound when charging could be turned off.
Applications data can be restored wth Helium, Package Disabler can stop bloatware.
Only ads in applications are remaining but I can live with it.

Mute System volume. I made a rule in Tasker for that. No Camera sounds.
I know, it is more work than one switch in the application with root but it isn't worth to lose warranty. Only one thing I cannot fix without root are ads. But I have only one game with ads and I can live with them.
I could be wrong, but it is my understanding that root/knox tripping doesn't affect warranty inside the EU.

Are you talking about shutter sound? Just go into the camera settings and turn it off.
So far I like it, feels much lighter than my Note 3 and is considerably faster in everything it does. Using Package Disabler to slowly disable the ton of junk on there, the DirecTV thing keeps popping up which is getting old real quick especially as I have disabled it twice now.
Congratulations On Your New Phones - Igor Goldshteyn
The Galaxy S7 looks like a great phone. Samsung improved in many areas from its predecessor. Congratulations! Great reviews.

I am really impressed with the fluidity of these Sammy animations. SD card is a *****, tho.
This phone absolutely ROCKS!!!
I have the Gold AT&T S7 w/ the free 64 GB sdcard from BestBuy... and free Gear VR.
This phone is sooo much faster than my S6 Edge was. It's better in every way.
The fingerprint button CRUSHES my S6 Edge in speed... wow.
The screen is AMAZING... can't believe it's better than the S6, but it is... brighter, crisp, vivid colors.
I like the improved trimmed-down Touchwiz.
My battery life is PHENOMENAL... no comparison to S6 Edge.
I swear to you these superlatives are not exaggerations... it really is that good.
I've been developing an app and testing it daily on the S6 Edge for the better part of a year. I've owned the HTC One M7 and M8 and developed on those -- rooted 'em, custom kernels, etc, and various iPhones 3-5.
The S7 is the King of Android phones, as far as I'm concerned. I won't even try to compare it to the iPhone .
It's fast as hell... and doesn't get hot like my S6 Edge did.
So yeah, it completely rocks in pretty much every way... works well with my Huawei Watch, bluetooth paired with my Model S no problem... Wifi works great, LTE great... call quality great.
I would have preferred it to have kept the IR blaster, and if it was lighter it would be nice, but those are pretty minor quibbles... sure unlocked boot loader, etc. would be nice, but heck, simply developing for Android takes enough time let alone hacking the phone itself, so I don't really miss not being able to root, but anyway.
Overall it simply blows my mind.
Smartphone Nirvana. Not kidding.
Very happy with the phone so far.
Gear VR is rly fun too.

There is no such setting on my camera app. Neither did I have one on previous Galaxy phones. I'm quite sure there's a European law that states that camera must have mandatory shutter sounds.
overall the phone is good but battery life is not so great sure it will be fixed in the future updates

for the camera shutter sound, if cannot be disabled from settings (for eu regulations), there is a small apk called "Enforced Stream Silencer" that does the job (at least in android 4 and 5, I suppose also in 6 but I have not tested). Easy to find with google, I used since many years in S3 and S5 and works fine
Call me fanboy or anything. But this one is near perfection.

PUBG hdr graphics aren't fully supported by a50's processors and Mali g72. That can't be called as sluggish.

I know that hdr is available in the graphics settings but still, the support isn't perfect. It is a known thing that hdr graphics cause lags in a50.
Samsung has good brand value. When people ask which phone u have u can say Samsung but if u say poco phone the non tech people will say "pocco phone? What's that"
Lol it happened with me several times...
The highlight of a50 is the superb super amoled screen which is really good when playing games and watching movies.

Cons of Poco:
Old design.
No Dolby.
Smaller and IPS LCD display.
Hybrid slot.
No NFC.
Has got one major update so won't be supported much now.
Fake, so called stereo speakers (mi the lier).
Expandable is way too less than a50.
Miui has ads, it collects private info.
Has high SAR value (injurious to user's health).
I am seriously planning on getting the A50 tomorrow. Can someone comment on the bloatware? Many people say there's many preinstalled apps and pop up ads... I have a huawei and the only thing i can say is wtf if this is true
Bloatware is understandable, but forced popups?
and which of those bloatware apps can be uninstalled and which can't
Any input from owners would be appreciated

I sold my Poco and ordered this yesterday and would receive that in the next few days. W.r.t Bloatware, you can always uninstall them with the "pm uninstall" command imo. Pop up ads i am not sure as this is new to me but i guess, those would be ads from the bloatware that you install from the initial setup. If chosen wisely during the initial setup, you could always avoid them. All in all this is great device within the right budget for light to average users like me.

Yep. Good setup can relieve you of all the ads but be very very careful while setting it up. Still, I would suggest going through this video once, helped me too.

Depends on personal preference , if you want a better display and better selfie camera and want to compromise performance go for A50
If you want insane performance go for Poco F1
Anyways u should wait if u are planning to buy Poco F1 because Poco f2 is coming
I had to make the same decision and went with the A50 because my primary use case was reading and watching for which the AMOLED screen is indispensable. Also Samsung's support so far has been great as 2 updates have been rolled out since my purchase which have improved the camera, fingerprint reader performance to some extent while updating to the latest security patch. At the same time, Samsung's One UI is the best Android interface I have encountered till date.
The Poco F1 is only an option if you need the grunt to play games. It is heavier, uglier, cheaply built, has an issue-riddled screen and MIUI has generally been lagging behind in terms of design and usability for years now. As you can imagine, I don't game on the phone and use an iPhone for camera duties, so those were things that I didn't think about much but might be of significant consideration to others.

Apart from these, there are few other finer details people often overlook. Build Quality, Weight, Ease of Single Hand Use, Quality of components used etc. Xiaomi can for sure derive sales but can never compete with Samsung in quality.

Excuse me gentlemen, my name is bee101 and I manage to get my hands on a S20, that being said my S20 is blowing the competition away on top two speed test apks from Google playstore. Such as GeekBench5 and 3D Mark. I have screen shots but I can not post, I guess being new and all. But so far I have no complaints except for one. Without a case, it is hard to watch anything for any length of time without accidentally touching the screen and backing up of going forward whatever you are watching. The touch screen curve down on the sides and if you touch that while watching a movie, bam, back to almost the beginning or end depending on where you touched. So a case is almost necessary.

It s funny - first time i ran Geekbench when the phone was fresh out of the box in got similar scores...939 single core and 2850ish multicore. Also androbench reported a much higher than now (after a week) 1750mb seq read...and now it fluctuates very much ...anywhere from 1.4gb seq read to 1.65...and geekbench without freezing hovers around 899 single and 2700-2800 multi. Can you please do 5 geekbench tests back to back and post the lowest score? I m curious how the thermals hold up on the slightly larger copper vapor chamber the S20 Ultra has. Thanks

Sorry state of affairs with antutu! Couldn't find it on playstore, so downloaded from galaxy apps (along with 3Dbench), but even after repeated attempts couldn't run the test, so I gave up. It kept on redirecting to playstore (to download some plugin) which showed that the page/app doesn't exist anymore, lol!

Samsung Galaxy K Zoom - when?

Hi,

It would be an awesome addition.
