Hi,
SM-P600 without ROM, without recovery, Kies and Odin doesn't work.
How can I reflash stock ROM or CM12 rom ?
Device : SM-P600 (with samsung rom stock 4.4!?)
I root my tablet with odin and teamwin 2.8.0.0 (PDA field + tar file)
the root flash should success.
I restart in recovery and install custom rom CM12 + Gapp
the tablet restart and stay to CM12 loading during all the night.
I come back into recevery mode
I try to wipe cache/dalvik => unable to mount cache/dalvik
I try to wipe cache => unable to mount cache
I try to wipe system => unable to mount system
I install Kies on my computer and try to restore the official rom with it.
The download of the rom is ok and Kies try to send the rom to the table a transfer is running during 15min (progress bar into computer windows, but no progress bar into tablet).
After that a second transfer progress bar into computer stay to 0% during 1 hour. I unplug my tablet.
Now I have got a table without recovery. I have access to download mode.
But I cannot transfer stock rom (PDA field) with Odin.
Thx for your help.
Staying at your disposal
I can flash recovery mod (TeamWin) with Odin.
But I cannot send Kies tar file by Odin.
I am downloading old stock rom (*tar) to transfer by Odin 3.09
How can I convert a CM12 zip file in tar file to tranfer it (I haven't SD card)
You could use a USB OTG cable (micro USB plug on one end and a socket like the USB ones on a computer on the other), one of these:
http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/301542874539?nav=SEARCH
And use it to plug a USB stick with the zip file on it into your tablet. You would have to mount it in twrp before flashing the zip.
They are a very useful cable to have, if your screen breaks and touch doesn't work you can use it to plug a mouse into the android device and use that for things like backing up your data before repair or disposal.
Hi I fixed the problem,
Re-Flash TWRP (many time) en try to install an unofficial KitKat version (information were write into NAND) but this version bootloop.
I wipe cache, cache/dalvik, Data, System (some eror were display in red, mount error)
I install the unofficial CM12, then the Android invite was displayed :victory:
I setup the unoficial CM12.
Reboot in recovery mode to install gapp
@Nameless One, thx for your help. In TWRP, the mount doesn't work in my case !? (It works with my Galaxy S4)
Appology for my poor English

Hi Dribounet
I have similar issue with my SM-P600.
I have tried 10 official roms , official and custom recoveries also , without success. I am absolutely sure that I am not following correctly the procedure using Odin and its version or combination of this plus wrong official ROM and so on.
Also have tried to use PIT file because I think something goes wrong with the partitions but not success again,
Would you advice with your steps you follow in order to succeed installing custom recovery.
Can I install only the recovery without ROM and how I can run in it ( button combinations)
For now I am just able to run in Download mode and with one official ROM to run the process to the middle- then goes in error with Odin and when reboot the device it shows message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue ..... "
Thanks in advance for all answers

If you did not do something with it that makes the warranty not valid it is advisable to send it to service, unfortunatelly I have rooted it and they refused to accept it

Thanks in advance for time and efforts!
Hello please help. So I unlocked bootloader, set up Google and finger scanning password. Flashed SuperSU and that's when everything went wrong. Got stuck on the boot logo. Any suggestions? I've read about using the Qualcomm driver method but I'm unsure if it'll work on a Mac? Any help ? I've used twrp to flash ROM no luck. Used stock recovery but adb doesn't detect my devices I guess I didn't enable USB debugging after unlocking the bootloader.

Flashing the stock firmware using TWRP should do it for you. Just perform a FULL WIPE (formatting all partitions) before flashing the rom and keep in mind that you need a modified TWRP version to flash Oxygen OS based roms. The official TWRP won't do it.
Can you explain what you mean by "formatting all partitions"?
I have a modified twrp recovery. When I click on wipe there is two options " advance wipe" and "format data" is the 2nd optioption the one your referring too as well? I flashed ROM.zip with the modified twrp without formatting data (I rather wait on your reply to be sure) and instead of getting stuck on the boot logo it is doing a bootloop now. Thanks for your assistance BTW.

Advanced Wipe
--> mark
"ART Cache"
"Cache"
"Data"
"Internal Storage"
"System"
--> swipe to wipe
If you don't get any errors
--> restart TWRP (Or you can't access the storage)
--> flash rom
Did that no luck. I'm trying to flash 3.2.7 anything tricky/specific I should be doing ?
I'm going to flash 3.2.6 tomorrow when I get near Wi-Fi and See what happens.
Should I be downloading "OTA zip" or" oxygenOS 3.2.6 full zip"

OTA = on the air update // for upgrading your android version e.g. OOS 3.2.6 --> 3.2.8 // NOT for solo installation!
You can either use OOS 3.2.6 or the very awesome Open Beta 7 (Don't be irritated because there is "OTA" in the filename, both are complete roms)
These are full roms officially from OnePlus.net and I'm pretty sure that they will work together with TWRP 3.0.2-22.
I suppose you simply used the wrong files. Could you tell me where you downloaded the files?

i literally downloaded those files you linked to me and still no luck. it shouldn't be a problem that I'm using android file manager to transfer the rom over to my phone right? I'm going to wipe everything and go to stock recovery and use adb push to flash stock rom. any other suggestions you got?
Anyone please? I've rooted moto g 1st and 4th grn so it's not the fact that I'm being a complete noob. I've downloaded the modified twrp flashed 3.2.6, beta 7 and cyanogenmod. No luck on anything.

Hey guys, hello there. I need a little help over here.
The other day I made the mistake to install an OTA on my rooted Moto G5 (dual SIM). I had the stock image, TWRP & unlocked bootloader. Of course it failed to install the OTA, but the weird thing is that it always boots to TWRP recovery. No matter if I choose to reboot completely or to boot to system from the TWRP reboot menu, it always goes back to TWRP.
Tried a few things, but none of them worked. Mainly I remember trying the "fastboot oem fb_mode_clear" and did nothing. I didn't try this solution even though problem looks similar. Mainly I didn't want to have to unlock the bootloader and install recovery all over again.
Later I discovered that if I go to the bootloader and hit START from there, boots into OS. So it is functional.
Anyway, I installed Atomic OS ROM thinking I'll get rid of the problem and gain a custom ROM, and everything works, but the problem stays. If I reboot the phone, I have to do TWRP -> Bootloader -> System in order to get it to the OS.
Anyone has any idea on how to fix it?
I have the same problem, it comes back to recovery all the time and we can tell you about it, some help please

Hi, I've come back, hahaha, I installed resurrection remix 7.1, previous all the wipes and reboot in bootloader I gave start and started, great.
I had this problem trying to install the rom ViperOS. I solved it with one of these steps:
- Boot into Fastboot, select "Start" with volume Keys.
- Flash "boot.img" directly from the zip that is ROM, do this using a PC.
- If you're using stock rom, reflash boot.img
Greetings

Have you tried to boot from Fastboot?
Yes, it works once...
But if I have to restart it (or turn off and start with the power button), the phone boot always in recovery.
It is then necessary to restart fastboot then press "start".

Try do a full reset through fastboot and then try installing whatever you need through fastboot and recovery. Much more reliable han ota installs/updates

I have the same issue. But the suggestions posted wouldn't help me. I have the stock ROM and I'm rooted with Magisk using TWRP recovery. Would flashing the stock ROM, Boot and recovery without deleting user data partition help??

Anyone get the stock for 16gb/2gb version?
FAILED (Do not allow to flash Bootloader image on Unlock device) & TWRP - Failed to mount '/firmware' (invalid argument)
I'm using the Lenovo p2a42 32gb 3gb version (India)
My phone is stuck in fastboot mode. Bootloader is unlocked.
I have the latest twrp - 3.2.2.0 as recovery.
I flashed everything except the modem and bootloader to stock.
Bootloader & modem wont flash - cannot flash unlocked bootloader error.
I have tried everything I can think of:
1. Restore to stock 7.1 (cannot flash bootloader error)
2. Relock Bootloader (not allowed error)
3. Even gave my phone to a repair guy as last resort.
No luck yet.
Its 17000 bucks worth.
And has been laid to waste due to my ****up.
I really want to repair it myself if possible.
Please help me if you can. I'm open to any and all ideas.
Thanks in advance.
Alright mate,
Download this HERE
Extract it.
Boot phone into bootloader/fastboot mode.
Connect it via cable.
Run flashall - stock reco.bat and wait until it is done. Your phone will reboot on its own.
Gimme some details if it doesn't work. Don't worry, it'll be fine.#
Also: NEVER RELOCK THE BOOTLOADER VIA COMMAND, that is a sure-way to **** it up much more.

Seems like you have a faulty battery or something on your hardware side.
Fun fact: getting into recovery(twrp) is done via Fastboot since the button combo is a ***** and isn't reliable. The timing is too stupid done.
The one team rescue files always work as long as you're in Fastboot/bootloader mode.
It's worth the try

You shouldn't restore stock firmware from backup.
After using rescue tool.
Setup your phone from zero.
Or skip through setup.
Reboot to bootloader.
Flash latest twrp 3.2.3 can be found on official website
Change data system format to ext4 if it's not already.
Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik
Flash custom ROM of your choice
Flash gapps
flash magisk for root if you need it
Wipe dalvik and cache
Reboot.
Setup phone.

You really are new to this.
Use the rescue tool.
Let the phone boot.
Skip through setup.
Enable developer options.
Make sure and debugging is enabled.
Connect phone to pc.
Grant always access , which popups on phone.
Open a CMD, in the folder of your adb tools.
Use adb reboot bootloader.
Or use the button combo to get to bootloader /Fastboot mode
Flash twrp.
Boot twrp
Reboot to recovery twrp via reboot menu
Change file system of data to ext4
Reboot to recovery again via reboot menu in twrp.
Now use factory reset, then wipe system partition.
Flash custom ROM
Gapps
Magisk if wanted.
Reboot.
Wait max 10min.
Should work.

I've come too far to give up now, any suggestions?

Before flashing twrp.
Use Fastboot oem unlock
.
Try again without custom ROM this time .
I'm looking into it.
Still stuck at the start screen,
I might be wrong but here is what I think is wrong with the phone:
The modem just won't flash therefore no wifi or cellular data.
The firmware is corrupted.
Thanks for your continued support.

Hello, well i messed up my phone really bad. deleted the bootloader. Phone wasnt working. But then used blank flash to get things working again. Just that it only charges now when i run it in bootloader mode. Now what i think u can do is delete all partitions using fastboot. I dont know the terms or words to say, but you can try to delete all partitions and then flash them again and check. use the stock files or what you call those emmc, modem and those bin files that is used to flash via fastboot. It may help but can be risky. Well hope this makes any sense

there is no need to erase your partitions.. Unless you want to brick your device for real.
But you can try it at your own discretion at risk.
i won't help any further since i don't know that much more concerning this kinda problem.
cheers
Fatal Error

I 'm new to this & I appreciate your help, but
I followed your instructions again yet the error remains the same.
My phone is not detecting any wifi or cellular data - so I cant proceed /skip the process of setting up my stock phone.

Hey buddy, I recently ran into same problem as yours. Have you found any working fix for this issue?
Please reply.
Hello everyone !
I have a xiaomi Mi A2 lite for few days, based on Pie 9.0. I decided to install a custom rom on it (resurrection or lineage OS16) so I unlocked the bootloader, rooted properly the phone, and then tryed to use TWRP to install a new ROM.
Unfortunatly, I never succeeded to do so: each time I tried, the installation failed, showing an "error 1".
Trying to fix this issue, I unfortunatly deleted the OS of my phone, and still can't install a new ROM. I tried to flash a stock ROM from xiaomi site, following this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/help/os-image-please-help-t3885625/page3 , but Mi flash tool doesn't work well on my computer (it's still showing an "unhandled exception" error, whatever I'm trying to do.
Here we are, I've got two problems and I don't really know what to do, despite my searching on the web. My phone is now unusable (I can access to the TWRP recovery, can use fastboot, but that's all..)
Do you have any advice to clean up all the mess I did ?
Thank you a lot for your time !
Download the stock rom (preferably 10.0.3.0) extract it along with adb and fastboot into the same folder, install the drivers, boot into fastboot, connect it to PC and run flash_all.bat and you should be back onto stock rom! If you want to install a custom rom follow this: github. com/tkchn/daisyinstall/blob/master/README.md

Are you sure that you followed the procedure to install a custom rom? Can you tell which steps did you do? And about the error of MiFlash you can try with other version so there are many versions uploaded that don´t match well.
If you can't use the fastboot u need to force EDL Mode.. The best and simple way to install the ROM stock is using MI Flash Tool, u can find a tutorial in here or in YouTube it's easy if you follow all the steps! Good Luck

The first problem with TWRP Error code :1 - the problem is with twrp itself- install a different version ,i am using 3.3.1-0 by offain ,i've had this error on allmost every twrp besides the offain versions and dees_troy.
The second problem : with the deleted os : you have 2 options :
1. Download the latest MiFlash from the official site and install it ,on the top left of the screen, you can see Drivers button ,click on install. Then navigate to stock rom folder ,go in fastboot mode on your device and connect to PC ,hit refresh ,then flash.
2. If this doesn't help ,custom rom is an option ,there are 2 links
https://daisyfiles.pp.ua/Firmwares/MIUI/ - from here download miui version Golden Master 1.1
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi...ol-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3866191/amp/ - download this all in one tool, you can lock ,relock ,install twrp recovery ,custom roms ,it is perfect!
For the installation - put the rom on sd card ,install twrp version that doesnt give Error 1 code ,then format data,system,cache,dalvik/art ,internal storage.
And the last thing - install the ROM zip and try MIUI 10.5 This is the best temporary solution, until you set MiFlash the right way ,or on another PC
Hello !
First of all, thank you very much for your quick and complete answer
I finally succedeed to flash a stock ROM on the phone, using Mi flash tool, so I'm back on track ! About the "unhandled exception" error, i've just fixed it by creating a "log folder" in the MI flash tool folder, it's good to know, maybe It will help someone else one day ^^
When I tried to install a custom ROM last time, I used the 3.3.1 version of TWRP. Because it didn't work (error 1), I used the 3.3.0 one and I had the same exact error code. Do you think I should try older versions one by one ?
I'm going to unlock it and root it right now,
Thank you again,
Arnaud
PS: Oh, last thing, when TWRP recovery will be properly installed on my phone, shall I root it by using magisk ?

Updating my situation:
So I successfully installed TWRP 3.3.3-0 on the phone and did a huge backup to avoid deleting my OS again.
Now I'm confused about what to do: I did understand that I need to root my phone (using magisk) BEFORE trying to install a custom ROM, but I'm really not sure about it, should I ?
I tried, and it still doesn't work (error1), I noticed that error 1 shows some interresting details:
"error installing zip file '/sdcard/TWRP/RR-P-v7.0.2-20190907-daisy-Official.zip' "
The point is I do not have any sd card in my phone (for the moment), is it possible that it can't install the ROM because TWRP is trying to install the ROM on an non-existing storage ? I will try to get an sdcard somewhere to check how it behave.
Thank you again,

Nope ,as i said ,error code is with the version of twrp ,i am using TWRP 3.3.3-1 dees_troy ,i've had the same problem as yours ,i was trying to flash from internal memory ,tried flash from sd card, the problem was the same.So i have tried 3 or 4 different versions ,3.3.3-0 (2 different versions ) gave me error 7 ,another 3.3.3-0 destroyed my system image ,3.2.3-0 don't show my sd card in twrp .So download TWRP 3.3.3-1by dees_troy ,i am using it right now ,but i am using the all in one tool ,that i have mentioned in my previous post - no errors ,no mistakes
Okay, I will try the TWRP 3.2.3 then, this is the only one I didn't try
What about magisk ?

Hi !
I basically followed the procedure here: https://www.the***********.com/install-twrp-recovery-root-xiaomi-mi-a2-a2-lite/
And then https://gmtechweb.com/resurrection-remix-v7-galaxy-s6/
Thanks for your time
Error 1 is for use official twrp, please read before, only twrp for custom ROMs is offain's twrp 3.3-1.0

Sorry I didn't undestand that at all
I will follow the ghitub step by step by using all pieces they provide. Only one thing, they give the Offain TWRP 3.3.0-0. Do you know where I can find the 3.3.3-1 you're all talking about ?

The first link did take me to any place and the second is for other completely different device, I don´t know why following a procedure for a device with a different scheme partition.
It could be that previously you must have a determined firmware as base before to flash any custom rom, in this case you have to flash it using MiFlash tool checking on "clean all" option (preferably)
The moves basically are these:
1.- Boot to twrp-daisy-3.3.1-0-offain.img using fastboot (just boot to, don´t flash it)
2.- Wipe system, dalvik/cache, data from the previous.
3.- In the case is indicated by developer Format data.
4.- Flash the desired rom.
5.- Flash the twrp-daisy-3.3.1-0-offain installer zip (it´s not the same that the boot image) you can use adb sideload or previously move the file to your external SDCard or then to format data transfer the file to your internal SDCard.
6.- Go to the main menu on TWRP and in reboot options change to the other slot from A to B and viceversa, then to switch reboot again to recovery.
7.- Now flash the Disable-Force-Encryption.
8.- In the case (most likely you want) Flash the GApps and flash Magisk at last, then reboot normally.
The links for TWRP are these:

Hi !
They are too many flashing procedures everywhere, it's a giant mess and it's really hard to find the proper one when we don't use to it
Anyway, I finally succeeded to properly install a custom ROM on my phone by using this procedure: https://github.com/tkchn/daisyinstall/blob/master/README.md
Everything is now working well, thank you all for your help, you saved my day
HELP! I am getting the same error message, i know what I need to do, download the Offain version of TWRP, but none of the links work! Android File Host DOES NOT WORK for some reason. Can someone upload these files somewhere else for me? Please? I have no other way of getting these files, they don't exist anywhere else on the web... I have already tried every other available versions of TWRP and am getting the same error message (1) as OP.
