Sony Xperia XA1 Compass accuracy problem - Sony Xperia XA1 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
Wondered if any others on here had noticed or encountered issues with consistent inaccuracy and refusal of XA1's compass to calibrate to High accuracy in Google Maps and similar compass enabled apps?
See more detail in support chat thead I've had on Twitter at https://twitter.com/DigitalAmoeba/status/893099014631153664
Then had further attempted help from SonyXperia via Twitter DM and have also posted full info soo far on found thread on official Sony support forum https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-XA1/Compass-accuracy/m-p/1227648 - But thinking that good old XDA might well have more/better answers?
Any help much appreciated as otherwise XA1 seems a brilliant device, punching well above it's budget price bracket!
Thanks in advance, Alan

Has anybody tried this app with any success?
Installed yesterday but it seems to have issues - mainly there is no visual screen available whilst radio station is playing. Only plain white screen visible and bottom soft keys.
Somebody want to give it a try and report findings.
I really like the idea of this app, and the iphone version has rave reviews.
I have the same issue - I'm running the demo. I've emailed the developers to find out if this is an issue with the demo only or the full program.
I'll post when (if) I get a reply.

Firstly, thanks for your reply. Secondly, don't take this the wrong way but its good to know that the problem isn't specific to me.
I can tell you that it's definately not a demo related problem as I have the paid for version. I have also emailed the developers and am awaiting a reply.
There's a free 15 day trial if anybody else wants to give it a shot

Post your results and let us know.
UPDATE
I have also just noticed I can only stream over wifi. No luck with 3g etc..............
That'll teach me to try before I buy
Wow that app is great.
You can search your local radios by GPS.
I can listen radio by 3G/UMTS, but there is also white screen when playing.
Are this scanners (police, rescue,airport,.....) legall?????
I have an xperia and according to their support website jeyo.com
"The following screen resolutions currently are not fully supported: 480x800 , 240x400. We will be releasing an update to support these resolutions shortly."
I have had some success with the stations through gprs listed with an "E" none of the higher bit stations work at all. I am experiencing the same issues as everyone else with a white screen. I am using it to stream local talk radio which is edge anyway, so I'm not totally disappointed.
Hi Guys.
How can i change it to german on WWE Rom ???

Thanks - it would seem then that 480x800 is not supported as yet. Let's hope we're not left waiting too long for the support.
UPDATE - I personally have now had a little success regarding streaming over 3g/gprs. It seems I wasn't giving enough time for the app to buffer then stream the station. I blame this also on the plain white screen (no indication to me of buffering, playing or unable to connect).
Just got this email from Jeyo, who distribute this app:
Hi,
Please try this update:
http://www.jeyo.com/downloads/Beta/WunderRadio_222.zip
-Jeyo Support
Seems to work.

Yep - Thanks guys.
Just to confirm that I also received the same email from Jeyo this morning and also confirm that the new beta is working as should.

[APP-Question] auto capture-and-send picture program

Guys,
Since about a week I've been searching for an application for my Touch HD which silently captures a picture with the front VGA camera and sends it to an email adres, without making it noticable.
I've been searching through the XDA forums and the allmighty Google, but the only thing I came across was an Iphone version.
A program like that would be great for anti-theft of a phone, since it can send gps-locations, a picture and other information to an email using the wireless internet connection.
First of all, does anyone know a program such as I described?
Second: if none of these programs exists for WM6+, ain't this a great idea for the greatly appreciated softwaredevelopers?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Regards:
Ali
Seems like this question won't get any attention.

[Q] Custom Camera Settings

OK; before i got my DHD whilst I was reviewing it i came across a brilliant thread or web article on customizing the camera settings to get the best possible picture quality.
Guess what I can't find it!?!?!?!
Anyone point me in the direction of such an article it only made small tweaks but really helped things like overexposure etc.

It's a sticky in the General section.

[Q] Implemented features-list for CM9

I was wondering, after filing 2 bug reports (even with logcat) and reading up on the PRO (iyokan) - CM9-thread about other non-implemented stuff, is there a list somewhere where we can see what should work and what shouldn't yet? I'm talking about stuff like audio over Bluetooth, hardware keyboard, video play and so on.
Nobody? According to the amount of views people are interested in this!

Read the 2nd and 3rd posts of the thread below..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356685
Yeah... I read those and found out they are not really up2date/correct after reporting several bugs (which ended up being features not yet implemented, as stated in the first post of this thread) about stuff that should be working according to those posts. So the answer is a simple 'no, there isn't an extended/more accurate version of that list available anywhere online' ?
