Bluetooth gamepad for PS4 remote play? - General Accessories

I'm looking for possibly the best gamepad to use with my smartphone for remote play.
I know answer straight away: dualshock 4
I know that, but thing is that I own OnePlus 3 phone. I've managed to unlock, root it and do a bunch of other things to make remote play working on the device, but pairing DS4 with it is probably impossible. I mean... They are pairing, but there is no imput, and after research it seems like the issue is on the oneplus 3 side in general. They just don't work together.
That's why I'm looking for something else. As close to the DS4 experience as possible.

inline remotes

does anyone have any suggestions on how to control the music on these devices without turning on the screen. I'd prefer a wired solution to something involving Bluetooth but any experience would be helpful.
You can use the archos remote control app, but you'll need another android device on your wifi.
yeah was looking more for something that was portable. I looked around and some android devices partially respond to the apple based headphones that's the kind of info I'm looking for.
actually i read on gizmodo last week that samsung was working on universal headphones that work on any tablet
You can also use a wii remote through Bluetooth search market for wii remote.

Just got the Tab S 8.4(T700)... Help/Advice

Hey all. So, I'm a noob with tablets and basically got this for 2 things: universal remote and PS4 remote play. I already found a great universal remote app(smart remote) and it controls everything with ir I threw at it. Does anybody have any tips or tricks that make the ps4 more tablet friendly? TIA

Assist a noob? (Remote play, root (possibly))

Hey team,
Ive just joined this site in the hope of getting some assistance. I have a Z1 Compact, android v5.0.2 and I'm hoping someone can help me.
Im trying to get my device to work with Ps4 Remote Play - I realise its not one of the sony supported devices (I bought it too soon sadly). I have managed to get the remote play app itself working, I can stream my ps4 fine and it works with the on screen controls. However Im looking to take advantage of the DS4 controller. I can sync the controller with my phone, and most of the buttons work fine, but the analog joysticks don't really respond. Now through my research it would seem I need an additional app called sixaxis controller because my phone isnt strictly speaking one of the official devices for remote play.
This leads me to my question... is there any other way around this to get the DS4 controller working? If not... the sixaxis app requires that I root my phone. I have not done this... never done this... am a bit cautious bacause a google search renders 100's of different ways to do this..
Could someone please talk me through an easy, safe way to back up my phone so I do not lose any apps/images/contacts etc. and then root the phone. Im not trying to achieve anything fancy, just enable remote play. Also - ideally I would like the option of unrooting too incase I decide to go back.
Any help would be so so appreciated! Im not the most tech savvy person so easy methods would be great if there is such a thing. Thanks in advance!

Pairing a Wii Remote to Android 6.0

I have been trying to pair a wii remote on my rooted Nvidia Shield Android TV for the past couple of days. I want to pair it so I can use the dolphin emulator to play wii games. Firstly, I have done this before on older devices, but it seems that being on android 6.0 there is an issue. I have tried to pair with wiimote controller and bluez ime and could not get it to sense the controllers. The Bluetooth option to add an accessory on the console shows the wii remote as available, but asks for a pin when you do it. I have tried keying "0000 and 1234" and no luck. It is not my controller, because I have tried 2 different controllers. Its not my console because I've tried to pair on my phone as well. Is there something I am missing? Or do the apps just need updating to work on Android Marshmallow firmware?

You need the Mayflash Wii Bar, thats the unique solution.
I have a "practical wired Sensor Bar w/ USB cable". Should this work? If so, how do I go about using it? Do I use a certain app?

You cant root it yet and even if you did and were wanting to pair a ps3 controller wirelessly you (as far as im aware and have tried alot of ways) cant connect it (six axis won't work with aftv2).
I was under the impression that 5.2.1.1 was the most up-to-date FireOS for the FireTV2, and that 5.2.2.0 was just the stock Firmware for the FireStick2.
That aside...
I'm not sure what the bottleneck with the Dualshock 3 actually is. If it's the FireTVs' Bluetooth, Lollipop, or what. But if there is a way to use it o. The FireTV2, then that way is lost on me.
I have no idea if it's true or not, but supposedly the Dualshock 4, would work. But, by that token, it would cost the same as an Amazon Controller, so why even bother?
Not that it is related but is there anyway to change how the audio search results come up on fire tv2 like on nvidia or roku where it gives you multiple options and not the stupid amazon only results? I thought maybe this can be achieved by root or something.
Thanks
I can only suspect that, that is hidden deep within the FireOS, and would probably require something akin to CyanogenMod to have fixed.
Something that could at least in theory happen on the AFTV1 (Qualcomm) Box, since Qualcomm are actually pretty decent about releasing Code. MediaTek (AFTV2), however... Not so much.
At this point I would hold more hope of just getting a Dualshock 3 working on the AFTV2, then to try and, replace Echo (Or whatever Amazon wish to call their Voice Search), with Ok Google Now. Or MicroSofts Cortana. Which AFAIK might also have an Android version.
Dualshock 3 uses a non-standard implementation of the Bluetooth spec, and also requires special drivers/dongle for the PC. Dualshock 4 has a bog-standard Bluetooth mode (which needs to be toggled, mind you), and so is much easier to use. For getting DS3 working, you need specialized drivers both on Android and on the PC.
Honestly, the Ds4 gamepad is worth it - its a lot better than any other controllers (inc the terrible XB1 ones, well thats a matter of opinion i guess) and is even better than using it on the PS4, as you can actually switch off the damn light
