1. Install busybox first (please see the Busybox to use below). You won't lose root.
2. You must install one of the bases at the bottom of Aroma before flashing any of the other mods. One has stock WiFi-Data icons on statusbar, the other has up-down traffic arrows included.
After you do those two things, the others can be flashed in any order.
3minit resources app needs to be installed before 3 Minit battery is flashed (please see 3minit app below).
Make a backup first! If for some reason your phone starts to do a factory reset, quickly boot into bootloader, bottom TWRP, and flash the base. This will usually fix it.
Have a backup though individual flashes should make you a backup on your sdcard in a folder called ozop.

Invisible power menu button in far right hand corner of statusbar. Tap closes the screen, long press brings up the power button menu. Now this option can go either,and, or on the NavBar too.
The 3 Column QS option is a mod. Flash a base first, then 3 Column. There are now mods for 5, 6, or 7 column QS.
If you want Navbar gone, flash the one that matches your Navbar height. Base is 36 dip. There are 3,4,5,6,7 QS column options for Navbar gone. (There is an option near the bottom for putting an invisible Home button on the left side of statusbar for those times when LMT or other 3rd party navbars don't kick in for whatever reason). Then can select other mods. Most everything should be working though probably not all.
Ability to add your own custom NavBar icons:
Instructions:
Make a folder on your sdcard called "custom"
Put the NavBar Icons of choice in it. Don't forget "dark" ones if you want them to change color on light background
If the Icons are material by google, select the option corresponding to your Navbar height. If they are not material, flash "custom icons with no padding" (last option under Navbar height). In order to swap icons you will have to go back and flash aroma again and flash either navbar swap with corresponding navbar height if they are material or custom navbar swap, (last option under Navbar swap) if not material.

Yes, Oreo. Did you flashes BusyBox, then a base first? What exactly did you do? Give me the details.
I had already been running O. I flashed it a couple days earlier. So I downloaded the mod and busy box how ever I had to reflash stock because a couple days ago I installed busy box and lost root so I was afraid of installing this busy box. So I would assume BusyBox is required in order for this to. Then I see an updated BusyBox so I am I to assume that the install process is Flash the mod then install the updated BusyBox. My current setup is stock rooted with Su hide installed. Thanks for the help.

You should not lose root by installing this BusyBox. Yes, install this BusyBox (first), then flash Aroma and first thing go to the end of the selections and flash one of the 6 bases. If you are not interested in internet speed meter, it doesn't matter which base you choose. After flashing the base you can then select and flash the individual mods you want. Bases have a Navbar height of 36 dip. Stock is 48. 3Minit resources apk must be installed prior to flashing 3minit mod if you are interested in that.
If you can use your Pixel without SUhide, people say SuperSU SR1 Pixel Fix looks like to work with busybox on Oreo, so you can try if you feel lucky.

I don't have a 4 column qs option. That is stock in all the bases. If you meant you flashed the 3 column option, that is a mod, not a base. The very first thing you flash must be one of the bottom six bases (0-2,0-3,0-4, 250-2, 250-3, 250-4). Just the first time. After that, everything else should work. No need to reboot but it doesn't hurt anything. Without flashing a base first, it will fc every time. BusyBox should be installed before flashing the Aroma.

Oh I guess I didn't add that, I did flash one of the bottom 6, can't remember which one exactly but it had a 4 in it, so I was hoping it meant 4 QS columns. When it did boot, that was all that changed[ I had 4 column QS] before I rebooted to try installing those other 3 and it failed. If you don't even have that option, that's just weird. Busybox definitely was installed already.

I apologise, I also have a thread on the Nexus 5X with this same Aroma and botched a copy and replace I did. All center clocks are bad and a couple of other things. I'll let you know when it is finished.

It's all good. Glad it wasn't me that was doing something stupid. Hope you have it fixed soon! Center clock is basically all I'm missing from 7.1.2 custom roms.

I have this on the Pixel thread but it should work on the Pixel XL too. Based on July update and for stock based ROMs. If you plan on installing the 3Minit battery mod you must first install the 3Minit Resources app below.
The regular Aroma installs each mod as you go. You must flash one of the bases at the bottom of the list before you install any of the other mods. These contain the smali files and some modded xml files.
Correct method regular Aroma
You need only flash a base one time. If you flash a base a second time it wipes out all previous mods and you start with a clean base. The different bases affect Internet speed mods only. If you are not interested in Internet speed mods, any base will do. Each mod is installed at the time you hit install (unlike the Magisk version where the mods are collected until you are ready to make your module). It pulls your apk, mods it, then reinstalls it. Before you hit finish, you can check the box at the top of the page, then hit finish, and install another mod and keep doing this until you have what you want.
The Magisk Module Maker stores each selection until you are done. You then flash the Magisk Module selection (very first one in the Aroma). It creates a module on your sdcard. When you are out of the Aroma and back in TWRP, go back to install and find the magisk.zip that is in the Magisk folder on your sdcard and flash it. If you left something off or want to change some things, flash Aroma again. After installing the mods you want, select the second option of Module add-on. This will mod your current setup so you don't have to reflash everything over again. The bootanimation, signature check disabler, and louder effect tics don't work on Magisk yet. You can put them in manually through TWRP.
Like I said, these should work but I don't have a Pixel XL so flash at your own risk.

Optional internet speed, single line. Strongest signal is shown. Left side, center, and by WiFi placements are available. Same color options.

Thanks for this, but can not get the aroma work on my XL, already had 3 minit battery mod installed but after using this it does not appear to be working and the only mod I can see working is the change to 4 columns in QS.
Tried to put my systemui back via root explorer now phone not booting, stuck on android is loading..
tried aroma revert to stock ui and still failing.

play store crashing
awesome mod! i am using the magisk aroma installer. everything works great, except one thing. the google play store force closes if any mods are active. i've tried clearing data and wiping cache.
any advice?

Trying to get this to work with my XL mate, tried installing the mods several times but the only mod that it changing is the quick settings the nav and status mods don't seem to work, I will keep trying different methods see if I can narrow it down for you.

Yes, that is correct.
Try just installing the bases and nothing else. You might install BusyBox first. Reboot, then flash just the base. Nothing different between these two aromas except for the install method. .

Okay, here is what I did. I flashed back to stock, rerooted with SuperSU instead of magisk, flashed this aroma and installed the base you did, a couple of mods and rebooted. It borked my phone but I have a pixel, not a pixel XL so I expected that. I did however, boot into TWRP, pull off the systemuigoogle.apk before I flashed everything over again and did a factory reset. It looked nothing like the one you gave me and it decompiled just fine. All smalis were there as well as 3 Minit mod. I'm not sure where things are going wrong for you but everything looks fine as far as I can tell. This is what I pulled off. You are welcome to try it.
Edit: I was dumb enough to do this twice. This one has 3minit mod on it. Install the 3minit resources app before using this Systemui
Thank you but it does exactly the same as my systemui, got the 4 column QS but no center clock or 3minit. Can anyone else with a stock rooted xl confirm this as working?

I don't have a Pixel XL but I have this working on the Pixel. If someone wants to give this a try, let me know if it works.

This happens to me alot while using chrome, not sure why. I usually just copy the url and paste it in firefox to download.

I am unable to get this to work.
I flashed busy box, tried 2 of the bases (in case that was my issue) and center clock and semi-transparent notification background and no changes take effect. Am I missing something?
Can you change your OP to give a little bit of information on what Busybox is required and also flash order? Lots of people are going to end up in factory reset with this mod otherwise. Thanks in advance

Anyone that uses 3minit knows to install the resources app first but that is also explained in first post and the app is included in the first post. If for some reason your phone starts a factory reset, quickly boot to bootloader, boot to TWRP, and flash one of the six bases. This won't work 100 percent of the time but usually will.

Is there a way to remove busybox after installing the mods? or will uninstalling busybox revert them back to stock? I forgot busybox would mess with Samsung Pay and I'd rather have that than these mods even though I really like them. Thanks.

You can try this
Is there a way to get the default notifications background and navbar back?
Bases other than stock-like comes with right clock but you can change it.
Stock like bases are limited to as what can be modded if you choose them. I suggest starting with first selection on SystemUI base and framework gray (color of QS Icons) instead of stock-like and making changes from there.
DARK MODE- If you want to use dark mode, flash SystemUI stock like base but no framework base. You can't change QS Columns or any color mods. Clocks, internet speed, batteries, etc is all
Zip Method to be Flashed in TWRP.
I put together a zipped folder of individual installs that can be flashed from TWRP. Take this zip and unzip it on to your internal sdcard. There are folders with descriptions of what is inside. Each mod is flashed individually and the same rules apply such as bases for SystemUI and framework must be flashed first , etc. There is a "Complete installation" zip to flash after bases and mods are selected. Nothing is installed until you flash it. There is an option for regular installation or magisk module type installation. The magisk version isn't actually a module but shows up as one in magisk manager after flashing.
Sizing for Custom batteries and custom Text batteries are hit and miss. Just re-flash the custom battery to reset or try another size if needed.
Install minitbatteryresources.apk prior to flashing 3Minit Battery Mod.
I only support my zip method of installation now. Aroma quit working on newer phones like Pixel 3 series.
Zip Method

Instructions.
1. Unzip Zip Installer into a folder of your choice on your sdcard.
2. In TWRP, find the folder you unzipped it to.
3. First select a SystemUI base (the bases have to be installed for mods to work).
4. Select one of the Framework Bases

6. Flash complete installation zip.

No, the magisk version is a stand alone Aroma installer for those on Magisk. Same mods but instead of directly installing the mods it creates a TWRP Magisk flashable zip on your sdcard in a folder called Magisk. Once the aroma installer has finished and while still in TWRP, go find and flash that zip then reboot.
Is it possible to have power button function on the navbar in portrait mode? I can't seem to find it.

@Tulsadiver Been trying to make this work all day without any luck. I'm on Android P DP2 and tried the magisk version and in magisk manager it says that "it's not a magisk module"... and in twrp I'm getting syntax error. So I tried the normal aroma in twrp and I choose the first option for base and then nothing else just to get the 4 column and after I reboot I keep getting into a bootloop back into twrp everytime. I tried earlier to get the other bases and also restore stock but nothing works. it just kicks me back to twrp every time. lastly I reflashed android P DP2 factory image and then gave it a go again to be on a clean system and it still kicks me back to twrp and not into the system. Are you able to see what I've been doing wrong?

You did nothing wrong. Updater-script error. I uploaded a new Magisk one in op. Try it. I can't test it at the moment. Computer problems.

Everything is done through TWRP. This is not a module though after flashing the Magisk zip it will show up in magisk manager as a module so you can disable it like a module.
There is a base that has clock on the right, 4 column QS, one that is the same but wifi-data has up-down arrows, one that is stock like with left hand clock and 3 column QS, one that is the same but has up-down arrows.

this is not a rom. this is a mod that you flash on top of Android P dp2 and it will give you the option to add those features mentioned in the first post. so make sure you're on android P dp2 before you flash this.
DP3 is up. Magisk version will come later.

Uploaded new Aroma's
How would I go about flashing this? Do I start by flashing the aroma installer, then the included Magisk? Does that mean I can't use the latest Magisk?
This is in place until TWRP is ready. You need root and of course you need to be attached to your PC. On first installation of systemui base, a pop-up asking to give ADB shell root permission will show. Please do so.
The purpose of this installer is to generate for you a custom module that you can flash in Magisk Manager. It will have all the mods that you have selected from the installer menu.
Custom clocks (date, etc) and internet speed indicators do not change colors due to light-dark background colors like the statusbar icons do.
The developer of Active edge gave me permission to use his base so that people would not have to make a choice between his and my mods. All credit for this goes to him. You must delete the active edge sense module and use one of my active edge modules. If it doesn't say active edge then it isn't active edge sense compatible. If there is an issue with edge sense after flashing, do not contact edge sense op with issues. He does not troubleshoot modified versions of his mod (and neither do I).
I'm also including my Pixel Launcher mod. Also a ADB Installer. You can change app drawer background-text color (separately for light mode and dark mode), remove weather from Launcher. Change the number of hot seat icons on home page (and size) as well as change the number of columns in the app drawer.
ADB Installer Instructions-Root is required
1. Flash one of the SystemUI Bases First. They provide the necessary smali files and public ID's for everything to work. Use colorable bases if you want to be able to change QS circle colors.
2. FLASH ALL THE MODS YOU WANT. ONCE YOU DONE WITH EVERYTHING, FLASH THE "COMPLETE INSTALLATION" Option. This will create a Magisk Manager flashable zip in a folder on your sdcard called ozop. Flash that to install your selection of mods.

TWRP themes for those that like things a little different
A couple of TWRP themes. These were made by G.M.L. and he deserves all the credit. His thread is here:

I tweaked them to work on the Pixel 3 XL with it's notch and large status bar. Top Shelf and Transparent.
To apply:. Make a folder in your sdcard's TWRP folder called theme. Put one of the themes in the folder and rename it ui.zip. The next time you boot into TWRP it will be there.

I don't have Windows 10 but I wouldn't think that would matter. Do you have root? Do you have adb degugging checked in developers menu? Did you give adb root privileges when you tried to install your first one? A pop-up should have come up.

Yeah sending ADB commands is working fine, I didn't get the SU prompt when I ran the .bat but I ran adb shell / su in another terminal to get ADB granted root right.

Thanks for testing and figuring out how to work it on Windows 10.
It did take a while to get it going but I've had a ADB base for a while. There are always times in between root and TWRP so I thought it would come in handy. I just had to update a lot of .bat files which was a bit tedious. While I sure do enjoy a beer(s), more than my wife cares for, no need. Hitting the thanks button is plenty fine. I'm sure there are a lot of typos since I put this together as fast as I could.
I'll get this out on the Pixel 3 forum now that I know it is working at least to some extent.

Flash left clock, flash remove wifi-data, flash complete installation.
So here is what I found;
Left clock worked
removing the wifi+data icon worked
when i selected #23 Number of QS Columns --> #4 (6 columns) i end up with a 4 column
There was no remove carrier text for left clock

Zip Installer Instead of ADB Module maker
Unzip zip into a folder on your internal sdcard. The folder name cannot have spaces in it.
Boot TWRP, find your folder. Install base first. Install the mods you want, then flash complete installation zip. Reboot.

Just finished building a basic mod with Active Edge, center clock with day, and WiFi traffic. Everything works perfectly.

I managed to get a center clock , and swap the nav bar around. :good:
If I want to add more things , like changing text colors in qs for example , do I have to make an entire new mymagisk.zip?
I.E. run the base and framework again?
If I do , will I have to run the center clock and nav swap again?
And what happens to the mymagisk.zip?
Does it get replaced , or do I have to delete it before I start again?
Had another thought, will we need to rebuild the module when the monthly updates come like it was in the past?

Yes, you have to redo everything you did previously and add the new ones as well. Apks can only be modded once in magisk so it has to be done over. The module.prop remains the same. mymagisk.zip will be over-written and once flashed, the module will be replaced. No need to remove. What I do is rename my mymagisk.zip to something else and leave it in case I want to use it again. Again, the module prop is the same so it will over-write what is currently installed.

Depends on what changes. Lots of times the SystemUIGoogle.apk and framework-res.apk are left unchanged in updates. But if it changes, I'll have to build and upload another new updated ADB Installer.
Edit: that is why I try to put dates on my uploads.

I actually find this method easier than faffing around in TWRP.
Good idea to keep the ready made "mymagisk.zips" for future re-use

Yes and if someone likes your setup you can share your ready made zip with someone else. I make them for people all the time as this can be difficult for some people and also the ADB Installer is a large zip. Some people have poor internet connections.

Sorry to double post, but have you @Tulsadiver heard anything about the Active Edge Magisk module support causing slow downs, freezes, and needing to hard reboot to get the phone responding again?

After removing the Active Edge support from your mods and moving to flar2's Button Remapper fixed the issue for me so far.

None. I've never used it before. I did have to get it in a weird way. He no longer puts the SystemUIGoogle.apk for each phone in the module but edits the apks on the fly. I had someone pull me a copy from the module after it was installed. Maybe the 4 xl is different enough to cause issues. He has a telegram thread. Try posting there.

3- I choose what I want ( clock center - Navber swap - small LTE ) And from ADB launcher just remove weather Then I see the zip files ( mymagisk.zip - mymagisklauncher.zip ) in my phone in folder name: vrthemeADBmagisk I flashed vis Magisk Manager. Sure I reboot the phone but nothing changed?

Did you run 30 - Complete Installation?
You should end up with the module zip in a folder name ozop. That's where mine end up.
