Hello, phone was working fine up until today, tried charging and vibrated as if it were charging but battery symbol didn't show charging symbol.
Finally died, now plugging charger in shows battery symbol and charging symbol above it, goes to Xperia screen and then shows 0% with empty battery.
Any ideas as to what to do? Tried different chargers and plugs etc but still the same.

how much time you put phone for charging ? just hold power button and volume up botton for 3 sec . the phone will vibrate 3 times and then release the buttons. then put phone for charging atleast 1 hour . and check

Thank you, managed to get 40% overnight charged with the light green when charging with phone off. Doing backup over WiFi since cables doesn't work. Will then attempt factory reset.

Guys i am on Insert Coin Rom.
And tonight i ran out of battery and when i came home i put my phone on charger . And later switched it on and saw it is 21% and then again switched it off and then left it over charger and after few min i remove it from charger and tried to turn it on it doesnt turn on.
And now i charging it over usb at my pc and now red led blinking and it doesnt turn on too!!!
What to do?
This is something i havent herd of before...maybe another member can help you!
have you tried switching on with vol button to get into bootloader?
Red blinking LED means very low battery (not enough to power on the phone), best to charge it with wall plug for at lest 1hr and the phone should turn on again.
USB charging is very slow and might not work when red LED is flashing.
I don't think the phone will charge when switched off with clockworkmod recovery installed.
Don't worry, this happened to me before with custom ROM, just leave it plug in to wall charger and the phone will reboot after 1 to 2 hrs, then it will continue to charge normally.

This made the trick.
guys this is urgent pls.. bought a htc onex in seconds with 4 % charge left.. wheni came home and connected charger to ac , power got even less..it became 2 percent charge and eventually got switched off... tried switching on it did couple of times but now it doesnt even turn on... only a red led flashes... even that it flashes for sometime and turns off completely amd again comes in... pls help guys the phone refuses to switch on.. it was running stock rom...pls help..pls
Leave it on the main charger for about 5-6 hours if you haven't done that already.

thanks a lot for ur prompt reply dude... ya will try that surely.. but any idea y this is caused? could it be a battery caliberating issue or battery itself gone.. ?

This is what happened to me.
I plugged the phone to an ac charger, leaving it on.I think i may have left open some battery hungry apps like a game, and the ac charger could not deliver enough power to the phone.The battery continued to discharge untill 0, but the phone remained on for a reason.After 3-4 minutes, the battery reached a critical level and the phone shut down.
I left the phone plugged to an wall charger for about 1 and a half days.Then i was able to start the phone in bootloader.Happy ending!

OMG!! 1 and a half days? what was ur LED showing? was it flickering or stable red while on charge ? after 1 and half days what was the charge percent? my phones LED suddenly flickers and then does nothing..does it indicate anything? is it charging ?

No, my led was dead.
After 1,5 days , it charged 3%.At least this is the info the ROM was telling me .
Don't worry about the led, just leave the phone charging for 1-2 days.Then try oppening it on bootloader.

I read this post somewhere and it perfectly worked for me...thanks for all the help again..
"Be paitient, Plug your phone in and give it a minimum of 20 mins charge even though it's flashing.
Unplug the phone and hold both the VOL up and VOL down buttons together for at least 2 mins then release.
Plug the phone back in.. don't worry if it's starts flashing again just be paitent it will I guarantee stop flashing a red led and begin charging to show a constant red led..
By holding thew vol up and vol down buttons you will reset the charging circuit..
The reason your phone has started flashing is because it's gone too far into a discharge...
JUST DON'T PANIC and stay calm.. show a little paitence and all will be well...." :victory:

After i brought the HOX live initially i charged while phone was switched off to 44%..Then i could not charge it from ac adapter both while switched off or on. when its on the charging indicator seems to show charging but even after hours the charge remains the same infact goes down...any help pls?? i thoughht i was on stock but now am confused..am pretty new to HOX forum..so not sure of anything about custom ROMS.. when i boot it says HTC ONE..ANDROID VERSION: 4.1.1 , SENSE VERSION :4+, KERNEL : 3.1.10 gd21b8f8 [email protected]#1

I had the same problem with my other one x, it was off and charging for 24 hours, when checked it battery level was still on 6%, used it for 2 hours and battery didn't even drain, couldn't flash another rom since bootloader was still locked and battery level was low, I sent it to htc center problem was solved and they said it was a hard fault.

Hi! Last night i had like three percent battery when i left it for the day. Today, in the morning, the phone was dead. Now, i thought maybe there was a little bit of power left, so i turned it on. It worked for like 15 secs and then turned off again because of the battery running out. I went up and put it on charge and it didn't turn on ,the led just flashed red three times, repeatedly til' I released the power button. I have now tried with three different wall chargers, includin the original, and also two different usb-cables. Everytime, just the three red led flashes again. Is there anything i can do besides replacing the micro-usb charging port, and if that really is the only option, is it just soldering to replace it, is there any instructions. Btw i'm running CM10 (unlocked bootloader) if that helps. Thanks in advance! :fingers-crossed:
EDIT: Okay, it really seems like this port is indeed broken. Will try to replace it myself and see how it goes along.

Hey bro it is not a serious problem.just connect charger to the phone and leave it for about 15-30 minutes the phone automatically charges and shows charging logo.

after using fuel gauge app, it atleast charges but gets drained very fast and also the phone gets very hot....its HW problem
my nexus 7 2013 wont turn on its just blinks the while light 4-5 times on pressing the power button.
i am using wireless charging which works well as the micro charging port failed a year ago.
I did try to turn it on by keeping pressing the power button form 30 seconds and it turned on yesterday, the battery was 97% full ,and the tablet was almost out of space and i tried to delete some apps/ videos to free up some space.
After the battery died i put it back on the wireless charger overnight, but now when i try to turn it on it only shows 5 white lights and does not turn on ,
do you guys with such experience please tell me how to fix this.

The blinks typically indicate a faulty battery. Sometimes it can continuously blink which can be fixed by re-plugging the battery. If the battery measures >3.5V under load then the blinks indicate eMMC chip fault - more info here http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/nexus-7-2013-qa/fix-nexus-7-2013-bricked-stuck-t3310608
As you can see there is no simple answer but there is 90% chance that it is the battery fault - just measure it with a voltmeter.
Incidentally, re your broken USB port, try to squeeze it, and it may start working again.

I charge it in the morning and I did see the charging animation before leaving, it says "33.16%", after i charge the phone, i left if and do some house works and when I came back it wont turn on even I charged it for 1 hour and doing things like volume down+power button. I checked it if it is charging using a power bank that has a percent indicator but it came out that it wasnt charging because the battery of power bank after an hour is still the same. Your battery or your USB port is fried, and the battery drains until stone dead. You may contact a xiaomi service center.
