After setting up my smart lock I have noticed it not working sometimes. When this happens if I go into security and smart lock after I put in my pin I just have a blank white screen where the smart lock menu should be. But here is the weird thing. I have tried restarting several times and it does not help. But sometimes it just shows back up on its own and starts working again. Then after a while it's gone again. This is driving me crazy! Anyone got a suggestion?

From what I have read it's a Google services problem people have been having recently. Mine started happening last night but was working fine since I had the phone.

Hmmm ok thanks. We'll have to wait for a fix I guess. Ain't like we can just do away with play services lol

I've been seeing the same thing for the past month or so. Sometimes there Smart Lock menu is blank, sometimes some options are there & other options are missing. I'm hoping that Google gets this straightened out.

Does your smart lock also stop working when the menu isn't there ?
Seems to. I notice it mostly in the car. I have set my Bluetooth FM transmitter as trusted device. So when I get into the car, the transmitter connects turning on Android Auto and I'm greeted with the Android Auto home page. When Smart Lock acts up, I have to touch the finger scanner to unlock phone to see Android Auto home page.

Just rebooted the phone because phone was not reliably staying connected to WiFi despite strong wifi signal. Rebooted phone, wifi reconnected with no issue. However, all options for Smart Lock have disappeared again.

Is anyone in here rooted? I noticed it disappeared only after I had rooted.
Nope. No root here. Simply stock. Only had the phone a few weeks. I don't see a need to root.
It's interesting to see this possibly effect rooted / non rooted phones alike. Definitely a bug on Google's side.
Googling this indicates it's a bug that goes back about a year. I never saw it with my Z Play, only the Force 2. But I believe Z Play is 7.0. The Force 2 is 7.1.1.
How long has 7.1.1 been out?

All mine came back too and was working beautifully for about 24 hours. Then gone again,

Ever since I've rooted mine has worked perfectly. Been about 24 hours now.

That's strange. Rooting actually seemed to fixed mine LOL Been about 24 hours and still working.

Don't know how long this will last. But I found out if you go under security> Trust agents and turn off "Smart Lock (Google)" and "Smart Lock (Moto)" Reboot and then go turn them back on everything comes back.

Looking into it on Google groups that seems like the temp fix for a lot of users. Google is supposedly aware of the issue and is working on a fix. It has something to do with their servers. I had this problem with my S8, and Nexus 5X. Not having this problem with my Note 8 and Z2.

If muted there will be a bell with a slash on it. Slide down while on the watch face to mute/unmute.
Airplane mode, say "OK Google, Settings" or tap the face, slide up, second from the last, third from the top.
I had to do a reset and it fixed itself. I think the issue was going out of range multiple times with the htc one m8. I had this same issue with my sony smartwatch 2. It would just eventually not connect anymore and would have to repair. With this watch it had a false connect even though I would unpair it thru the settings and set up the watch in the android wear app. It still didn't do anything. A reset of the watch would fix the issue with the resetup of the watch. I think this is an issue. If the device goes out of range multiple times with a connect and disconnect it eventually stops connecting then reports a false connect.

I've woken up to this problem this morning as well. Airplane mode is not on.. It's not Muted. Just doesn't work. Did a reset on the watch.. still nothing. Phone is a Note 3
Edit* Power cycled my phone and now they work again.. weird
Also, make sure under settings->security on the phone that you have notification access enabled for wear.

The Moto 360 doesn't make noise. On my phone, notifications still act the same with the sound and what not. The watch face for me turns on and vibrates. I have an LG G3
Just had to reset again cause it stopped receiving notifications but showed connected.

When you lose connection with your 360, if you open the Wear app on your phone, does it still say connected? If so, try and reconnect with Android Wear to your 360, does it not reconnect? (This is happening to me)
Try reconnecting on Wear, your 360 may say that you've lost connection (Cloud with a slash icon). Try reconnecting again from the Wear app, if that doesn't work, try repairing your 360, that should work. (4/5 times it works for me)
Resetting does seem to work as well, I did it yesterday and went 16 hours without a disconnect, previous day was 7 in 6 hours. But this morning I walked away from my 360 with my phone and lost connection and it started disconnecting again.
Q: What ROM are you using with your One?
Just got mine today and it's disconnected twice on me already. Although it says its connected I don't get notifications. Hope we can get some insight into this.
Loving everything about my pixel c. Anyone else having trouble getting the system UI menu showing. Developer options are turned on but there's no wrench next to the settings gear icon and I can't find it in any of the other menus. Works fine on my 6p.

Hold down the gear icon in the drop down notification menu, for a few seconds, then system ui will be available

Just to update this, ever since Ive had my C system ui has never worked. Even when I accepted the N beta update still a no go. Well I wanted the night mode in N since the C at minimal brightness is still too bright at night. Flashed the N image manually in fast boot and now finally system ui works. So if your an odd one like me give it a try.
Is anybody else having problems with their lock screen? It stopped working on my phone out of the blue. I tried wiping credentials restarting the phone several times setting up other types of security (pin, password, pattern, etc) but nothing works the phone just won't lock itself anymore it stays unlocked. Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance
Update: I forgot I had stay unlocked at location (home) idiot me I know •_•

Alright, I didn't. I've tried to be a little sarcastic, indeed... Yet, I'm facing this flaw of lock screen not showing nor locking nor doing its thing. Smart lock has never been set on this device, BTW; However, often it briefly reappers after shutting down the phone and restarting it, but not by means of rebooting. So far, NONE of the usual, widespread workarounds (clear caches, credentials or device administrator) is working over here, so I've been looking for a different hint on the subject, to no avail. Sadly, it probably could take years to have the right one, as I can see... But, I'm working on my own; if I don't get bored in the process, end up doing a full OS restore or simply get rid of the phone, then I will let the community know...

Rebooting the device fixes it for me.

It's very common, usually it happens with filters like twilight or screen dimmer. The only way to change permissions is to temporarily disable those apps and then re-enable them after you're done
Same thing happened to me with Amazon music. Kept putting me in a perpetual loop. You can go into the app permissions and grant them manually.
If it won't let you turn permissions on, then you can reboot your phone into safe mode, enable then, and reboot phone normally.

This has nothing to do with OP3 specifically, it's android (I have had the exact same thing with my previous phone, Xperia Z5 Premium)
The new Android doesn't want apps to approve permissions with out you knowing so they block permissions from being approved while apps that cover screen have that ability. It's a pain in the ass and I wish I could stop it because I use swipe pad. I just turned it off and figure after abt a week I'll have all my daily apps thourughully approved.

If I flash one of the cm13 based roms I never get nags and it also has overlay settings....

I have it with my nexus 5 as well, it's a android 6.X thing, cm13 has just probably disabled that but as far as I know most stock roms has it enabled.

Sorry took me awhile to get back. No there is no apps to control it and it's been like that ever since I first turned it on.
