hei niga ramonet ) is working or not? did ur phone burned or fired?

I flashed FSC+ in my all tests. Because I need a cooler phone not full horse power
I was using Stock 7.0 Customized TR 32.3.A.2.33 Rooted E6553 Single
First Try: It caused boot loop.
Second Try: Caused boot loop again. I mounted system or not. It caused again and again.
Third Try: Flashed Twrp and Supersu latest version again. Then flashed your mod. Phone opened but it was hot like hell. I left phone to cooldown, after 30 minutes I started to use phone again but phone gets extremely hot fast and it lags like hell. I think something is wrong about thermal mod.
Fourth Try: I have made a clean install. Rom, Root and Twrp., At last I flashed your mod. It gets hot and lags again with light using.
I made these tests between 30 minutes to provide healthy results.
BTW I am a light user. I don't have any bloat apps and I never play games on my phone. I use Whatsapp, messaging, calling, facebook, messenger and instagram. I watch videos 45minutes once a day and I turn off my wifi and mobile data on nights ( Because I sleep )

Just uploaded new version BETA4 this should make huge difference and bring more coolness while keeping great performance, please test and give feedback

hi, i noticed in your beta4 that FSCPLUG and init.d folder is missing, is it normal?
if i installed beta1, do it need to delete fsplug from init/d folder to instal beta4?

Disable "Data Analytics" in settings-About. Disable unnecessary apps, delete unused apps, Disable Sony's email app ( I use Gmail), Disable Sony Support App in settings-Apps (you can disable only one of support apps. After that play store will ask you to update support app. Do it. It won't drain battery.), Use 3G mobile data mode. 4G or 4.5G drains battery like hell, Flash this mod's latest version again 2 times in Twrp. After flash delete cache. Reboot phone. After boot, reboot into twrp again and wipe cache and dalvik/art cache then reboot. So thermal file flashed succesfully and all leftovers from old thermal file will be cleaned.
I cannot give screenshots but I take 4.5hours SOT with less heat. I am a light user and I use FSC+ latest version

Hi, is there a guide how to install this. I did put a rom's on phones before but was around a year ago now. Thanks

Let me try fsc + and see

[TUTORIAL]Battery Saving Tips !!!UPDATE!!!

So i decided to make a thread for all those of us who have a huge battery leakage... After putting Unofficial CM7.2 from alquez...
I was draining battery on my phone for about 4.5 to 5 hours to 5 % ... from 100%... so just lets get this moving ...
I
The first thing i did, was calibrating battery ofc... and i tought it will help ... but the battery didn`t last any longer.. This step is unnecessary. Okay, not unnecessary, IT'S USELESS.
[edit] Now when we know the truth, here is why it didnt work : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445643, because it was just a myth
To make sure, you are making any change to your battery, i would reccomend you guys download, the app from user profete162.
It analyses your battery and gives you average battery drain in % per hour ...
Here is the xda link to it : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1483448
And a market link : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.WazaBe.android.BatteryDrain
I was using Battery Callibration , it`s free.
Link : https://market.android.com/details?...xLDEsImNvbS5uZW1hLmJhdHRlcnljYWxpYnJhdGlvbiJd
II
After this, I installed Juice Defender, i think its a GREAT app, and a MUST HAVE...I would recommend upgrading to Ultimate...
So next app is Juice Defender Ultimate
Link : https://market.android.com/details?...xLDEsImNvbS5sYXRlZHJvaWQuanVpY2VkZWZlbmRlciJd
III
Next thing was a little battery saving tip that I loved by user amraving ...
It can be found here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1135301
[edit] User that i mentioned down, said that this just helps ppl in area where 3g is not availbe to save battery, so the phone would stop hunting for 3g networks... but i think when you put i to preffered it will just not search for 3g all the time, it will put it to gsm, and i guess it wont make any worse for members in 3g area with low signal... i hope i will get some feedback.
IV
If you are not having a data plan with your carrier, you can disable data acces over mobile network.
It can be done by going Menu/Settings/Wireless&Networks/Mobile Networks/Data enabled , untick ...
Or if you have a data plan with your carrier, you can use an app to control internet... With Juice Defender Ultimate you can set a lot off stuff and there is another app called LBE Privacy Guard. You will find a lot of usefull stuff in settings.
Link : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.lbe.security.lite
V
Next one was most annoying to me, its the LED in CM7.2 that turns on and flashes when u are on last 5% of battery, it kinda pissed me off and i think it also wasted my battery in critical moments for no reason.
So i got to an app called Light Flow, here you can disable all the stuff you want... I removed blinking on low battery, just left on sms and missed call... You can remove that too... So it doesn`t use LED at all...
Here is a ling to Lite version: https://market.android.com/details?...uc3VsdGluZy5hbmRyb2lkLmxpZ2h0Zmxvd2xpdGUiXQ..
There is also a paid version which i personally use.
[edit] This is what i didn't write, the best thing for your phone is not to discharge your phone totally at all. Because LithiumIon batteries are just made that way. Though I still think removing some leds will help, and if you really CAN'T charge your phone, that blinking led on <5% won't help anyway.
VI
And a last but not the least important, a little messing with cpu clocks...
You will need an app called SetCpu.
Here is link on market : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mhuang.overclocking
It`s paid app.
So now when you have it i used advice from user playagiron. When you enter app, you set default cpu to 122 min/ 768 max, and set default governor to smartass. Then you go to profiles, and make profile for screen off, there u put smartass governor also, and clock 122 min / 245 max.
I also made third profile just in case, when temperature raises too much, to restore clock to 245 min / 600 max as it was by default, once again smartass governor.
So that would be it, i hope this stuff helps someone, if you have any further suggestions, or something is not ok here just send me a pm to change.
For me it worked, and i increased battery life to something like 16 hours moderate to high usage(including gaming wifi and so on..)...
[Update]:
Okay, i got what was sucking also battery out of my cm ... I couldnt beleive I didn't check that ....
In CM there is in Settings/Display settings/Automatic backlight, I used to keep it enabled, and also the 'Allow Light Decrease' was ticked. So, what i did is just disable all of it -
Disable Light sensor filter totally
Untick Use custom
Untick 'Allow light decrease'
when you do that you can go settings/display and set to automatic, OR simply leave it on 30% as someone suggested, i guess it's just the way you like it ...
Good luck with this one added
And a disclaimer, idk if i need it but, what the hell. (copied from somewhere around the forum )

And results ?
as i wrote up, like 16 hours or so... and im using a phone moderately... i disconected a charger in morning, 10 o'clock and used a phone, internet, wifi, and played angry birds on purpose for 2 hours ... now im at 60 percent battery... so i can say it all works ... for me at least
[edit] : now its 24 hours, battery is 5%... and i was using phone moderately to high ...
Next thing is, i got a suggesstion from a member CafeKampuchia, and I will be editing first post.
I will test this, i hope it works.. Thank you..
Thanks mate
I'm glad i helped, now the only thing that is wasting my battery remaining is games i think, that must be CM related, or kernel or drivers or w/e .... i hope next builds from alquez will fix it ...
refresh... though im glad i fixed the battery life, i didnt make it last enought ... i want MORE . anyone with some usefull suggestions to add here ?
What could u suggest , which options is best in justice defender?
or which would be the best way to use it?

Don't overclock when running games as it runs ba||'s out while you are running them...Dim your brightness when playing games...Don't play games...

If i wanted to kill someone with my phone, i would certainly get that battery... WTH its HUGE ...
i dim my brightness, it acts better now ... though... there is problem in cm for sure, since on stock it was running for more time.... i guess someone will find where is that thingy that sucks my battery
here are the proofs
i used the phone moderate, talking/texting, some wifi+internet surfing, had some bluetooth pictures sent, and after the screenshot it lasted like few hours more idk how much exactly... I think it was like 1 o'clock ... means 6 more more, so its like 35 hours...

[Q] DoomKernel v14 doubts

Hello guys i'm using Doomkernel v14 and i have a lot of doubts about it, first of all sorry for my english i'm latin american xD, and i love this comunity i have learn a lot of it... i mean about changin roms, kernels and etc.
ok, i have doomkernel v14 since the begining of this year but since i installed it i notice that the battery last a lot less than when i was using stock and is very annoying because i like this kernel and i m using it with True Ancestor LE 1.6 ROM that is very complete and i want to know if much peopple has this problem and if it has a solution because i dont want to change this kernel and i dont understan the undervolting thing is very confuce to me is with the same O.C app or with something in the computer?? because i saw some console windows in some posts screenshots and i didnt understan it, and other thing the cellphone heats when im playing MC4 and heroes of order & chaos and some other games.
and a few more information about my problen is that when i have the screen active it consumes about 1% of battery each 5 minites with the wi-fi off and with the wi-fi on 3 minutes i cant find help because not too much peopple has unlocket bootloaders

did you check your current cpu governor? you will really use more battery life if the settings of your phone is OC you will get more performance but lesser battery life, can you maybe provide a screenshot of the current gpu settings and its governors?

Ok here are the list of things that you can possibly do.
1.) check how many running background application is there on your phone you can do this by going to settings>apps>running and try to close down those which are really not needed.
2.) try to remove task killers if you have them instead of saving power they ussually consume more because they kill system process and the phone restarts them in which will use up more power.
3.) try to use lesser brightness on your screen display instead of using automatic detect.
4.) try to use a battery calibration script you can find it in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276 (this is self proven by me and it worked perfect im not responsible for any issues that may cause after running the script)
5.) and lastly try to lower down data traffic and gps use they are bigger killers than wifi
By the way your CPU settings is at minimal not in OC so its a bit of mystery why this is happening to you maybe there are a lot of bloatwares on your phone try to check them

I am currently using an xperia play r800i, when i say bloatware these are basically software that has been preloaded on a rom or custom rom that runs in the background, you may not generally see it running but it is there, now with the battery calibration script if you run that it will basically refresh your battery stats and provide you with an almost 100% accurate report of your battery percentage, my phone last upto a whole day with basic wifi browsing and normal operations last for atleast 6 hours with heavy game usage, i would also try to suggest an app called juice defender it (the pro one if you got the wallet to spare) it is a good app you can customize how your applications behave on normal and screen off condition it may be confusing at first to try to play around with it..hope my advice helps you in even a simple way

I am currently using the lupus v6 Gingerbread, Gin2jellybean is a smooth and fast rom, but it does have it flaws on my own opinion which you are right that it does consume a bit more battery than others, ive used lupus GB/ICS together with Gin2jellybean and it was a good experience however battery was only lasting for 6-7 hours of normal daily use without gaming.. heres a TIP. if you are planning to have your phone into a gaming machine better stick to GB and install GB Roms as well. But if your planning to have your phone with sleek and your after eyecandy in UI you can install ICS..

Ultimate Battery Optimization guide for S6 Edge+

Ultimate S6 Edge+ Battery Life Guide
So after been having a lot of issues with battery life in the past on this particular phone, I decided to write together this little nifty little short guide for those of you who would like to optimize the battery life – without compromising on the usability or disabling too many features. This guide requires a lot of modification of the system and will trip Knox, so be aware of that.
Step 1.
The first thing that you need to do is to install the kernel Arter97 or some other non-stock kernel of your choice, as well as rooting and installing TWRP onto your phone. There’s plenty of information on how to do this on the forums, so I’m not including this part in this guide, other than mentioning it as a step.
Step 2.
The second thing you need to do is to install Xposed on your phone, this can be done by flashing the files from the following thread onto your phone, as well as installing the Xposed APK.
While you’re in Recovery, also flash the following zip file to remove apps and services that you do not wish to use, to save battery and storage:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-...versal-debloater-mod-s6edgeplus-v1-0-t3372480
Step 3.
The third step in this guide is to install an App called NapTime by Fransico Franco, that puts your phone into Doze as soon as you turn off the screen. It can be obtained free of charge on the Play Store – you will need to open the app and make the following changes to the configuration:
Enable Aggressive Doze
Disable Motion Detection (to keep Doze on all the time.)
And that’s about all that needs to be done here, after this is done, it’s time for the next step.
Step 4.
The next step in this guide is the most important one, but it requires a paid application that absolutely does wonders, it’s called EX Kernel Manager. You need to purchase it on Google Play, after doing so open up the app and install the following governor profile called Glasfish to get much lower standby and usage drains, without compromising too much on the performance and multitasking:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68330029&postcount=4418
Optional: After enabling said profile, you may want to tweak the settings in EX Kernel Manager manually to save even more battery, in exchange of some speed. If you really want awesome battery life, enable to lock all big cores as it saves a lot of battery, especially during usage of the phone.
Step 5.
Install the application Amplify for Xposed to kill all those wakelocks that constantly keeps waking your phone up, it can be obtained for free on the Play Store. This app isn’t universal and you will have to tweak it manually, as every phone can have different amount of wakelocks and what not.

How is your battery life after all of this?
And did you have any reboots?
Applied all suggestions. Will report in 24 hrs

Thanks.
At this point I'm running audax 12.0 so I just want to know if it's worth it
Very good sugestions. I will try it.
Wish I could try this . Too bad there is no root for the At&t variant lol
Hi, I'm in the UK and experiencing a cell standby of around 20-30%. Will this help with reducing the cell standby battery usage?
Significant improvement
God damn, straight up doubled my battery life. Especially the glassfish governor. Went from 11 hours on battery with 6 hours screen on time, to, 20 hours battery with 6 hours screen on time!! Thank you so much! Posting screenshots! I am using RiverROM 5.1 with Arter97 kernel.

How did you manage to set GlassFish Governor?
I tried several things but I can't find this ElementalX folder?
Glass
If you cannot find the elementalx folder then create it
ElementalX Then inside it you create the other one
Gov_profiles or something
And after creating that u put the file in the Gov_profiles or your own chosen name
Hope this helps

Ik ondervind alleen het probleem dat mijn telefoon met deze instellingen automatisch reboot.
Hi
I'm have a weird bug since a did this every time i unlock my phone my screen brightness goes up for like half a sec i have no idea why it's doing this.
I've tried to turn off Auto brightness and than it turns the brightness down for half a sec ... it does that like 2 sec after i unlock my phone.
Has someone any idea why this is happening ??
Is someone willing to link a tutorial on how to go through step 1? Install the kernel, twrp, etc...
I have been using my s6 edge+ (G928C) fully stock since I got it like 1 year ago but I think I am willing now to try whatever I can to increase battery life - its terrible for me.
I'm using rom-audax , when i'm doing the step 2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-...versal-debloater-mod-s6edgeplus-v1-0-t3372480 does it count as a stock rom?
I know its a stupid question lol
But by using the audax rom i just need tro put that file on the recovery and flash it? or i need to actually go to odin?
I can not go through one stage.Entangled with the kerenla, help?
Thanks a ton. My Verizon S6 edge+ give 2.5 hours SOT and I cant do anything as no root.:crying::crying::crying:

Ram Management on Stock Android Pie

Its almost been a week since Android Pie was released for H930...
I have been using it since release... I have observed that RAM Management on this firmware is very bad...Like... Almost impossible....Unable to listen to music and scroll though my mailbox too....
Is anyone else facing this issue..or only specific set of people like me
Although Ram management is also poor in Pixel phones... but..Its not this bad...
Hope anyone finds a solution ?
Some workarounds:

I found a REALLY WEIRD and really SIMPLE solution for this ACCIDENTALLY.
So just like you guys, I had this issue with ram management, asked around on reddit and stuff, really weird because even when there is enough ram is just doesn't let apps in the background, even lost calls because of it apparently.
Solution: Make a backup using LG Bridge
It sounds weird, but it worked for me. Somehow, after I made a backup with LG Bridge, all my app permissions got reset, so FluidNG for example stopped working out of nowhere and I had to reboot the phone.
After rebooting I gave the apps I wanted the permissions they needed and SOMEHOW that fixed the issue, I can open more than 7 apps in the background with no issue.
Don't ask me how the hell this works, but it did so I'm sharing it here to see if it works for you too. I didn't need to reset the phone at all.

I do not know what this could be caused by. My phone also uses a lot of RAM since the pie update. But: In doing so it is absolutely smooth and very conservative with the battery. I do not experience lags or bad performance.
I came from LiquidRemix and flashed the KDZ. Set up the phone. Then formated it again and flashed the TWRP zip and started over once more because I messed around with deleting system apps too much in the first try.

Performance and Battery is fine for mee too... But when it comes to multi-tasking.... Its almost impossible....
Home launcher gets killed in the background when I open Camera app?
Hm. Ok strange. This works for me. I can open a dozen apps in parallel and switch between them without problems. But I am not a ultra heavy multitasker either
I am facing the same issue currently and it drives me crazy. If I just listen to music on Spotify and browse through my mails, Spotify gets killed. This is a total joke IMHO I will try a factory reset now to see if that helps.
H930 is my model btw.
If it doesn't get better, I will have to go back to a custom ROM I guess.
Yeah bro ram management is very poor. I only get 700mb free ram.

Yep same here. Spootify is killied in the background and switching between cards in samsung or chrome browser causes cards reloading.

For the record, free RAM is not an indicator of poor management. Modern operating systems like Android use up as much RAM as reasonably possible, as the OS will run faster that way.
I'm not saying that Pie is better/worse... just saying that free RAM is not a good metric. My Oreo phone is running fine with 771 MB free right now... again, this is normal.

You are right, but...
On my 3GB RAM Quark unless I had 1GB free RAM, the phone would lag severely and stop responding well. I could "clear all" Recents to get 1GB RAM back, and it would spring to life.
On both V30 and V30+, on rooted stock Oreo firmware, I consistently have 600MB - 1GB free and have no lags.
However, if it got down to 200MB, would it start acting wonky like the Quark?
Enough people are complaining about it, I'm starting to get concerned. This isn't buggy beta tests any more. Hopefully they'll fix it before they roll out the North American variants.
But see next post. Maybe not RAM, but kernel governor or something?

I have less than that 700MB free RAM right now on rooted stock Oreo and have no problems. I have 549MB free and my phone is not lagging at all.
So, it's not RAM, maybe it's something else with Pie. Maybe the kernel governor?

That's what I was thinking, that the governor or kernel might even be an issue. First step, can people seeing the problem tell us what governor is activated? Most kernel tools will tell you what you have turned on. CPU-Z tells me that I'm running Interactive... and kernel version is "4.4.78-perf+". Again, this may not be enough info to work from, but it would be a start for looking at least.
Maybe spending some time with our kernel devs would help explain, too, as they'd probably have a better idea of what to look for.
In my case it was extremely bad when I updated using OTA, Messenger would literally get killed while I was typing a message. Performing a fresh install helped to some extent and the phone is usable and running otherwise pretty smoothly now, but still kills background apps much quicker than on Oreo. (edit) just tested, taking a picture in the stock camera app closes the app launcher (Nova).
H930, Interactive, 4.4.153-perf+

Maybe it does. But it's just the RAM available people are complaining about on Pie is the same RAM or more than we have on Oreo...
And I have no lags on US998 Oreo with less than 600MB RAM. So, wondering if it's CPU Governor or something.

I also wonder if the update process is not done well. In other words, I might suggest trying a factory reset and starting from scratch again? I know updating across a large OS change can often cause problems... I've seen this happen on other devices...

I tried installing the ROM from scratch with "Refurbish" option on LGUP and did not restore any backup. Same thing. I think LG just rushed this update too fast.
Oreo keeps all the apps I mostly use, about 10-15 of them, in RAM indefinitely. Pie just can't keep anything running in th background.
I check governor and its interactive, I think its the same i oreo?

Battery drain fix

My story
I have The Tencent version of the Asus rog phone 2, I mainly bought it for battery life, I am not a gamer.
I also saw that some users report about excellent battery life while others suffer from battery drain issues.
In reality the battery life was similar to my previous Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus which had half the battery capacity.
The SOT was around 4-6 hours and the phone drained around 5-8 percent of battery per hour when it was suppose to sleep.
I tried BBS (Better Battery Stats), GSAM etc.
Eventually I found a solution, this solution is relevant to me and may not apply to others but it's worth a shot.
My solution
First off, your phone must be rooted and on Android 9 version.
Download the Kernel by the brilliant @Freak07 from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ro...rnel-kirisakura-1-0-0-asus-rog-phone-t4028237
Download EX Kernel Manager.
Go to Tools - Block Wakelocks and see what is waking your device.
In my case a process called qcom_rx_wakelock kept my device awake and murdered my battery.
With the help of @HomerSp we found that the reason for this is a device in my network that is sending packets over the network, there are 3 possible solutions:
1. For root users - Disable the qcom_rx_wakelock from the EX Kernel Manager program (This is what I did and I did not experience any issues).
2. For root users - Edit this file - /vendor/firmware/wlan/qca_cld/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini find the variant "hostArpOffload " and change the number from "1" to "0".
3. For non root users - Go to your router settings and under "Local Network" set IGMP snooping off. (this solution is less efficient).
In addition I disabled 2 more processes that drained my battery - "hal_bluetooth_lock" and "c8c000.qcom.qup_uart" (again with no apparent issues).
In addition I've downloaded the Universal GMS doze module from Magisk which is basically optimizing my battery for Google Play Services.
As I mentioned in the beginning this solution worked for me, your battery drain cause might be different but you can easily check what is keeping your device awake with the EX Kernel Manager (this processes wasn't shown in BBS or GSAM).
I am now getting 7.5-9 SOT and the battery drain around 1% per hour while idle.
I have Bluetooth on all the time and I am connected to a Smartwatch, Location is off and 120hz refresh rate.
I hope this guide would help others.
Aviv.
So far the beta Android 10 seems to be much better with battery draining apps
Thank you for the guide, the only thing I couldnt manage to work is I have to run every time;
Disable the qcom_rx_wakelock from the EX Kernel Manager and "hal_bluetooth_lock" and "c8c000.qcom.qup_uart manually, switched on apply on reboot,
I open the app every time I boot and hit the apply on boot button, am I doing something wrong, is there a script for auto apply whenever I reboot ?

@avivv, your tutorial is pure gold . c8c000.qcom.qup_uart was eating my battery, now the power consumption seems to be back to normal, especially when using bluetooth.
@fethi2, same happens here, after a restart I must go back and block those processes (apply on boot is disabled after restart). Maybe something related to the kernel not being fully compatible to the EXKernelManager.
That's odd for me it stays blocked after a reboot.
Did you update the kernel to 1.0.2? This if my version.
Also I am using the paid ex manager kernel software version 5.31
I think I found the problem, go to the phone settings, advances, mobile manager, powemaster and allow auto start for magisk and ex kernel

Be aware that if you got valid warranty. then do not ROOT since ROOTING requires bootloader unlock and that will void your warranty.
I have the exact same problem with the battery and I have the global version.
I'm still not up for rooting the phone right now though so instead, I'm trying out Android 10 beta and hoping it improves my situation.
Currently just getting a day of light usage with about 4 - 6 hours SOT. Doesn't feel like a 6000 mAh phone.

You're lucky. I only get 4.5 to 6 hours even without gaming.
I'm not rooted and my battery life is very good
I downloaded the app "naptime" from play store
Then I followed the app's instructions to input two lines of code into adb (please only do this if you know what you're doing, even though adb is pretty harmless)
Then enable aggressive doze in the app
Hopefully it might solve the idle drain some of you guys are experiencing? Never compared the battery life between the app on or off though
Can't help with the heavy gaming drain though I don't game that much and have excellent battery life IMO
6k battery for nothing ...

Damn that's unfortunate. I made some tweaks with root and I get 15 to 18 hours SOT very easily.

First off just many tweaks in settings app itself, like background check, adaptive battery.
I disabled most of the installed apps' background services.
Used servicely and disabled over 20 system services.
Used substratum and made almost the whole phone pitch black themed using Pitchblack origins theme.
13-15 hours easy at 120Hz. 18 hours possible with 60Hz.
