{ Governor Profile} Nombie Interactive - OnePlus 5 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi, this is a governor profile for Interative.
Im in school right now so I cant explain it too much right now. Ill edit it later.
Its a profile for the OnePlus 5, specially tuned for it. Im still working on it for more performance while keeping battery good.
This should help battery a lot. It helped me and i never get good battery haha
How to install, download the profile and place it in elementalx/gov_profiles and then select it in exkm.
Also disable input boost when using this profile. Its fairly smooth and no need for extra battery drain from using input boost.
For now, Here is the link to download via AFH, once you download remove the .txt extension.
Download:
I am currently requesting dev access on AFH so hopefully soon I can upload my files there

Alright I fixed download link. Now it should work without needing to request access

do you mean disable touch boost?

{ROM}(PORT)MIUI Bravo 2.3.30.2

I took Defy MIUI 2.3.30 from miui.us and ported it for the Bravo and added a few things to make it more functional or fix bugs.
If anybody has anysuggestions or things they want added in, let me know and I'll try to add them in.
Still working on multilanguage. I have almost working multilanguage, 14 languages, but plugging in to pc can corrupt sdcard data, no tethering, and no copy\paste to\from pc. I don't want to release until thats fixed. No one wants to lose data.
The multilanguage framework-res.apk I have calls a 2nd usb notification and the two confilct with each other. I'm working on removing the calls to the 2nd mount tool, but its taking time. I've also uploaded the framework-res.apk if anyone can help to fix it.

Install Notes
The Google First Run Wizard starts on the last page, then works normally after clicking finish.
*Scripts aren't activated by default. To use scripts, open Terminal Emulator, type "su", then use one of the following commands to use the scripts: "v6.sh" for V6SuperCharger "3g.sh" for 3g TurboCharger "kak.sh" for Kick Ass Kernelizer "dhb.sh" for Die Hard Battery Calibrator. I shortened all the script names to make the commands easier to type.*
**On first boot, open No-Frills Cpu Control, change Governor to Conservative or Smartass, change io scheduler to noop (not necessary, but is recommended), and select apply on boot. This will fix the Governor problems and use my overclock settings. Make it look like the last screenshot.**
The voltage for Vsel2 and Vsel3 may be low depending on your phone. If the rom acts unstable, increase Vsel2 by 1 and boot. If its still unstable, increase Vsel3 by 1 and boot. Repeat as necessary. They work perfect on my phone.
Thanks
Zepplinrox's Script Links For getting updated scripts and clicking thanks.
Thanks to TweetyPeety for his Zipalign scripts and to Mataflakitas for pointing out WajkIUI's working CM7 DSPManager

I kept the rom as stock as possible. I'd post screenshots, but I'm already on a custom theme and don't feel like changing back....and besides, they're the same as Pikachu dammit, just go look there.

CM7 DSP Equalizer Crash
Found "Bug"
Using the equalizer makes CM7 Dsp Manager crash. Not really a bug since DSP Manager wasn't made for MIUI and I added it in. Probably gonna remove it if I can't get it to fully work.
I'll reup a new version without DSP Manager around 8 pm central time, or 9 hours after this post. I'll include No Frills Cpu, zipalign on boot, sdtweak, and add in Supercharger, KAK and 3g Turbocharger (unused and unconfigured so you can tune them how you like).
thanks

Only lacking the Spanish language......
I believe that I can wait for you since I am a novice not like changing the language thank you very much...skeevy420....
I'll attempt to add in Spanish. Just found the MIUI Rom translation project. It'll take me a while to do it, since I don't speak Spanish and can barley read it.
It seems to be a simple enough process. Decompile the apk, add in a new language folder, make a new xml with translated strings. Spanish is 100% completed at the site, but I still have to make sure everything is in the same order as Engligh.

EDIT
After looking through some of the translations, many strings are missing. I can provide the English translation files for anyone who wants to translate the rom to another language.
thanks

Multilanguage help
I found a multilanguage pack for miui 2.3.30 but it makes a 2nd USB notification app appear and makes USB not work right. If anybody knows what activates USB notification it'll help me out a bunch.
I added in beats audio, 4 way reboot, volume button track skip on screen off. I'll post updated Tom later, I want to fix multilanguage USB first. Either way, update later today.
Edit--Found problem
Framework-res.apk
Now to try and fix it...
I've noticed that the MIUI Compass only works some of the time. Opening any other compass fixes it.....anybody have a good compass app to add? Or any system type app for that matter?
I need to look into using Aroma Installer.
The post wasn't even up for 1 minute and someone had already downloaded the newest version. Damt that was fast.

This work already this in Spanish....?
No, not yet. Working on it. The only 2.3.30 multilangluage I've found has an extra USB notification system call in framework-res.apk and that call can cause sdcard corruption, apps not to function correctly, lose of data tethering, losing the ablity to copy and paste from the pc to the phone's sdcard. Probably other things too. Its just too unstable to add in for now.
I've attached the multilanguage framework-res.apk to the first post if someone wants to help make this multilanguage. So far I think the problem is a few strings in strings.xml in the language's values folder, and a line in ids.xml in the same folder. I've edited all the languages and removed all the calls, but I have recompile errors. I've tried 3 different versions of apktool.
I also forgot to add in dsp manager with the latest release. Not a big deal since Beats Audio works well, but I'll upload a patch for it later on today when I have the time for it. I was so busy with the multilanguage yesterday, and real life when I wasn't modding, that it slipped my mind.

The scripts are for memory, kernel, 3g, wifi, and lots of tweaks. Try them out. I recommend using the automatic settings in V6 (forgot the exact #), then option 20; options 5 & 7 in 3g, and enable io tweaks in kak and let it run. They'll help a lot. The 3g.sh option 5 doubles my 3g down speed. Check out the link on the bottom of the first post, it goes to the new release and archive page for the scripts.
No, it wasn't overclocked, but I've ran overclocked with those settings since December on all the roms I've ran. Only a few CM7's have had problems with those settings, and usually its the CM7 rom being buggy that causes the crashes with the low voltage.
I've also seen overclock posts with people running [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] for better battery. That's just dumb. You'll harldy ever stick at 500, hell, you'll hardly stick at the 600 stock, especially with the default governor settings. I found that 700 is a good median value to use. Powerful enough to get the job done without jumping to Vsel3 and stable when undervolted. And 1100 helps run games smoother without having to bump up the voltage.
For governors; choose Conservative for Best Battery with slight lag, then Smart Ass for Slightly less battery with less lag, then Ondemand. Performance & Userspace are battery killers, but they also stay on Vsel3 and are great when staying plugged in. The conservative lag comes from trying to stay on the lowest Vsel it can and lowering as soon as it can. Same with Smart Ass. Use No Frills to choose the governor and apply on boot. Leave the bootmenu governor at Performance, Ondemand, or Userspace for a faster boot and then don't pick that governor in No Frills, the overclock module likes to bug up with changing to the same governor already in use.
Questions:
Are you working on spanish language for MIUI? I understand everything but I'd like to install this rom to my girlfriend's bravo, she likes it.
Does Bravia engie work for us? I think it didnt work for defy neither for us.

Yes, working on Spanish. Maybe today or tomorrow. I'm having to use Google Translate on a hundred strings from 4 apks. After that I test.
I have no idea if Bravia works. I just added it in.
I'm having problems recompiling the apks no matter what method I do. I've tried a few methods with 3 different apktools. I'd just make a Spanish 2.3.30 rom, but there isn't one to make. The latest Spanish rom (miui.es) is 2.3.23. Other than that, the closest thing I can find is WajkIUI GB for Defy. I could port either one no problem.
The Pikachu Miui Rom has Spanish in it, if that helps.
can you build a clean install like MIUI does ?

[ROM] Dec.1st -{}- UVDLJA {} LIGHTNING_rev3 -{}- 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OTA

Welcome to Lightning ROM
MAJOR UPDATE, REV3, CHANG LOG IN SECOND POST**********
The goal when creating this today has been simple. Squeezing the most performance out of the T-Mobile Galaxy S III as I possibly could, without destroying your battery. This ROM was build with two things in mind - optimization and speed. Nuff said. It is based off the official Jelly Bean leak as of late last night and wild child's deodexed version he was kind enough to throw down. It will probably impregnate you, with twins, then not pay you child support. If you are ready to propel your device to levels above 9 thousand, you should probably keep reading. You have been warned. IT IS FAST! ..... yet... friendly...
Like myself, in the spirit of android, I am sure you all love customization. I am doing something a little different with this. Rather than add all the toggles, mods, themes, etc, I focused today on the performance aspect and will leave the theming up to you, and after you get it set up the way you want (as there will soon be and already is tons of pretty extras for this build) revert to post 2 of this thread for a nice little guide to odex this bad boy straight from Android UI via terminal emulator. I'll take care of the tweaking, you theme it the way you want, then wrap it up with some memory optimization of your own, or don't. Sound good? Thought so
Getting right down to it - a quick list of things modified here, and I know I am missing some things:
-Init.d support
-Busybox
-Deodexed (until you odex - see post 2)
-Rooted - duh
-CIQ removed***
-Debloated: removed a lot of stuff, but it is all avail' in the market, youtube, etc, you would have had to update it anyways -__-
-File system and SD read optimized for speed
-added freeza's custom CPU script to init.d ***see changelog in post 2
-Build.prop has been modified.
*added the 0 ring delay script
*wifi scan adjusted to 600
*media streaming optimized
*media recording optimized (video and image)
*data speeds optimized
-Database df on each boot / sql support - totally kanged this from somewhere else it was kanged... all credits due
-Memory optimizations
-Default IO scheduler optimized for flash-type disks (android devices)
-Carefully modified CPU parameters with performance in mind. Tweaked values to optimize IO throughput during heavy workload and multi-tasking, yet on the other end, CPU cycles are greatly reduced when system is not under heavy load. You will see this in performance :highfive:
INSTALLATION - follow this to the T, or I will ignore you. And keep in mind you might still have issues. Not every device is the same.
1. download ROM, put it on your external SD card, and verify it is good with an MD5 check
2. once all is well, boot to recovery
3. do a factory reset/data wipe (I have always been in the habit of being thorough and formatting anything 3 times)
4. format/wipe system (3 times recommended)
5. flash ROM
6. reboot (it will take a couple minutes)
7. once the device boots, let it stand alone for about a minute or so (i typically wait until it shuts off the display on its own) and ENJOY
NOTE: DO NOT TRY TO SIGN IN TO DROP BOX. I REMOVED IT. DL FROM MARKET!!
Also, some other things removed: browser, YouTube, calculator, some other stuff. I didn't remove anything that was not available in the play store. Wanted to keep it light weight. Do not try to sign in to anything other than your google account when you boot. Again, enjoy.
thanks to wild child, freeza, virus, steelH, dj, luke, ktoonz, and many others. mad respect to you all. i have implemented things that are either your direct work or things i have learned from you. so here is my humble shout out. if there is something i left out, somebody i didn't mention, please forgive me and post in this thread and call me out, i will happily update the OP with thanks. respect to you all
REV_3 - ready, set.. ok click now!
With morfic's kernel..... clocked at 1.83
ok... so if you are like me, and you REALLY wanna get intense with this, and just make it as bad A as you possibly can, keep reading....
This will essentially odex all files in your /system/framework and it will do it straight from the Android UI via my personal favorite app ... this is good because it frees up mem, and reduces DVM size. OPTIMALLL
1. download the odex.zip here --> PURPLE
2. extract all files with a file explorer, i prefer root explorer or fx file explorer
3. place the extracted folder and all of it's contents in /data/local/tmp ... so you should have /data/local/tmp/odex/+(misc files in new odex directory)
4. give the new directory and ALL contents FULL permissions. full read, write, and execute perms. your file explorer, if it has taken you this far, should be able to accomplish this
5. download this app TERMINAL EMULATOR dont worry it is free. open the app
Type the following commands - each new line should be executed with the enter key:
su (hit enter, it will ask for root)
/data/local/tmp/odex/odex (hit enter, you will see
you will see a bunch of outputs. there will be a message when it is done (honestly, like 10 seconds if that) saying something like "enjoy your hybrid ROM"
type "reboot recovery" (without the quotes)
device will boot into recovery immediately after you hit enter...
wipe cache and dalvik cache once more each, and reboot your device.
viola <--- this was spelled wrong. but i am going to leave it. because i can. rofl
THANKS*** freeza for sending me the the odex script, and you're welcome, for the bootclasspath for the script.. lulz. and thanks freeza for convincing me to download titanium backup again... and you're welcome for giving you the peace of mind that you can odex framework from android. el o el
****change log*****
rev3-December 1st, 2012 -uploading
-added morfic's alpha 23 kernel. OC'able to 1.83, no UV, L2 cache tables optimized, CPU hot plugged (for now, panel of=cpu1 off), pretty much an overhaul here. performance is ridiculous.
-removed CPU tweak by freeza (i still love you tho)
-optimized IO, AGAIN. adjusted ondemand parameters for a little bit better performance
-removed unneeded scripts from init.qcom.post_boot.sh file - positive effect on IO
-cleaned up build prop, added scripts for TCP windows, added network hack by... somebody... can't remember. File is in /etc/init.d/ "internet"
-optimized BT audio streaming
-added properties for optimal accessibility of T-Mos spectrum/towers
-disabled unneeded logging - save CPU cycles and power
-debloated some more. lightweight. DO NOT... try to sign in to dropbox upon first boot (if it even gives you the option) download the latest version of the app on the play store.
rev2-NOVEMBER 19, 2012
-removed some UI audio sounds (charger connection [for those that listen to music], lowbattery sound, volume toggle sounds, other annoying useless sounds such as boot up and power off)
implemented freeza's CPU control script for some amazing performance and battery life. thanks bud, as always, great work. i have been running this since he was finished with it, and it is absolutely amazing. your device with tons of unique and user friendly, editable scripts.
-freeza's CPU script adjusts CPU parameters for both cores based upon whether your device is charging, and how much battery you have left. it is a performance and battery friendly script that is power efficient and editable depending on what YOU want your device to do.
beta1-
initial release
all the things...
In rev 2, with freeza's CPU mod, you can navigate to init.d and you will see a "70cputweak" file. if you open that up, you can adjust CPU values and parameters of governors to your liking. for now, i left them as is - the way they were when freeza gave them to me. edit them with a file explorer and reboot and you are now adjusting your OWN values based on the performance and battery YOU desire. follow instruction in OP to flash
Thanks will try this later today

All I have done is tweak properties listed. Didn't mess with animations, or anything. You guys can do all that with a theme, kitchen, etc... I would recommend wild child's work. It's great stuff. Like I said the reason for this is because after you get it the way you want, you can go in and odex it and finalize your OWN build the way you want it to look. I'm not too big on aesthetics. But I can make your device run better
And to answer your question, yes, it is still running touchwiz launcher by default. Again I would recommend apex or nova. touchwiz is awful IMO. nothing unique about it.
Rom looks great will be testing it tonight!
Can anyone confirm wildchilds kitchen is working?

I got over 5K in Quadrant, but I also came from a 100% stock phone (reset it to make sure there were no issues). DropBox fails intially because he removed dropbox from the rom.

Known BugsSplash Screens will only work on TouchWiz
Working on finding out the cause of these issues. Please report bugs in either of the Team Kernelizers threads.
This is still in Beta, more is yet to come!!!!!!
Kernel InformationGeneral Installation Instructions (for both TW and AOSP):1. Download correct version of kernel for your device and rom. This is important as you may brick your phone is you use the wrong version.
2. Flash kernel using your preferred recovery
3. Do the following AFTER installing the kernel and BEFORE you reboot your phone:
a. Clear cache
b. Clear dalvik
c. Fix Permissions
4. Reboot your device.
TW Specific Kernel Instructions:
(can be used with AOSP too)There are some files on your TouchWiz phone that need to be renamed in order to maximize the battery life of your phone. There has been some debate on whether or not this is necessary, but for now we would recommend renaming these files to ensure that there is no chance of excessive battery drain.
Part 1:
These steps are only necessary on TouchWiz ROMs, however you can also do this on AOSP as well:
1. You must have ROOT. You will need to have a root enabled file explorer on your phone (ES File Explorer works very well and you can get it from the play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en). When you get it, open it up and go the the settings and scroll all the way down until you see the Root Settings. Go in there and enable ALL of the root settings.
2. After that is done, navigate to your root folders using the Folder Up icon at the top. Once you are in your root folders, navigate to /system/bin and locate the following files. You will need to rename them with a ".bak" at the end of the filename
gsiff_daemon --> gsiff_daemon.bak
mpdecision --> mpdecison.bak
qosmgr --> qosmgr.bak
smd --> smd.bak
smdexe --> smdexe.bak
Renaming these files will not harm your phone. Many users rename these files every time they flash a rom, and no damge is done.
Also, some ROMs come with these files renamed or deleted entirely, so if you don’t find a file, don’t be alarmed.
You have to do this every time you flash the ROM and/or Kernel.
If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself, you can use the TK-MOD (see Downloads section) and it will handle this for you.
Part 2:
Stopping mpdecision from being called:
1. Open terminal emulator and type the following code:
su
2. When terminal emulator asks for root permission hit 'Grant' or 'Allow'.
3. At the # prompt type:
stop mpdecision
Using Rom Toolbox (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox) we will make a script that will stop mpdecision from being called at each boot so you don't need to use terminal emulator each time
1. Open Rom Toolbox and scroll down to the Scripter option
2. In the scripter, click the “+” button in the top right corner, then select 'Create'
3. Type a name for our new script, lets call it “stop mpdecision”
4. In the commands enter the following text:
#!/system/bin/sh
stop mpdecision
5. Hit the disk icon to save it
6. Select the script that you just created and a dialog box should pop up, select set at boot
Were done here
AOSP Specific Kernel Instructions:When coming from a 3.0 Kernel to a 3.4 Kernel there is a new method with kernel updates. Skipping these steps will cause phone instability, due to some bad data left behind. This is a flaw in the Android OS, not the application. You must follow the instructions below (Thanks ktoonzs for the new method of the ktweaker app)
1. Go to Settings on the phone
2. Go to app manager then all apps
3. Scroll down to ktweaker app n open it
4. Once open hit FORCE STOP and then hit CLEAR DATA
5. Reboot and flash your new update of ktoonzs kernel
6. Repeat steps 1-4 in the above “General Installation” section
You should be good to go after that

Here you will find all of our tweaks to the kernel. We are providing these pre-configured settings as a means to assist S4 users with further improving their overall experiences on this already beast of a phone or to simply use as a baseline to work upon tweaking further. Please Keep in mind that results will always vary per device regardless on the settings being used. Apply what works best for you and your phone. We're here to help eachother out and with more options comes better experiences for everyone running the KT-SGS4 kernel. Big thanks to ALL who have contributed!
Download links will include the specified profile(s) as well as an "Adjustments" file. The "Adjustments" file is just for easy view of all changes made to a profile compared to stock settings.
1. Download the file(s) to your phone. In case of .bin files, optionally rename the file(s) as .txt
2. Copy ONLY the profile(s) (DO NOT copy the "Adjustments" file) to /sdcard/KTweaker folder using a file Manager of your choice.
3. Open Ktweaker app and click on "Restore Prefs from sdcard".
4. The file you just copied should be listed there. Choose the one you want to apply.
5. After applying, make sure the "Set options on boot" setting on the main menu of KTweaker has a little green text bellow confirming that the settings will be applied upon reboot.
6. Profit!
Balanced Bull: Reloaded (updated: 11~15~13)
These settings are very special to me as they were my very first, dating back to the Galaxy S3, and has gained an incredible amount of feedback. It has become notable for it's fairly smooth interface and amazing battery life. If this stacks up to your standards then I encourage you to use it!
https://copy.com/6DYYijYNqifx
Nightmare To Remember
This will likely become your beautiful, never ending nightmare.. It offers a unique balance between battery and performance but unlike Balanced Bull, it is slightly more performance oriented due to the more aggressive scale up to max CPU. However, only 2 cores will be used for the majority of the time so you can still enjoy a nice buttery smooth interface with just enough juice to last you through the day.
https://copy.com/qWU6AIeeAUyd
Bless The Child v3 (updated: 10~25~13)
Based on Ktoonservateq and aimed towards battery. This is specifically for all the battery hungry users out there wanting to conserve as much power as possible. So don't expect the BEST but rather decent performance out of this one.
https://copy.com/CZdfHiaZEOAu
Feed The Machine
The exact opposite of Bless the Child. This is a performance oriented option for all hardcore users. If battery isn't a priority for you then this is a great option.
https://copy.com/xWpFNDtIsQHe
Day Of Reckoning
Very similar to Nightmare To Remember but is aimed slightly more towards battery without deteriorating much of the performance. It is based off the Pegasusq governor.
https://copy.com/vynBURHcsOUl
Dead By April v2.2 (updated: 11~15~13)
This profile attempts to bring some of the best battery life possible to your device. It is similar to Bless The Child but takes things a step further . It now focuses more on snappiness but still maintains it's well known battery conservation. It manages to maintain a smooth ui for your average daily use.

Project Icarus by @mamba720027
So some may wonder why the name "Icarus",why not Hyper Performance or Deadly Good Battery.
Well the reason and to begin explination, short history.
Icarus is a greek mythology who is seen today as a mythical pioneer that tried to conquer the skies.
I like that mythology cause it kinda corresponds to my own saying "fly high or fall hard" which means to aim high or fail trying. So their you have it folks and thus the profile name "Icarus".
And onto explination of each profiles.
The first is "Performance" which is catered for straight out performance with also good battery performance.
This one is for when u dont give a rats flying balls about battery really and just want everything super fast and smooth. But you maybe surprise of battery performance. I recommend everyone try this profile first. My current favorite
The second is "Conservative" this is for those seeking performance but also better battery performance than the first.
This one is the middle man or lady as u may want to refer to it. It gives the best of both worlds, performance and battery. So if the first leave you stranded then fear not, this is the one to turn too
The third is "Kamikaze" which means "god wind". It either knocks the daylight out of your Galaxy S4 due to its high undervolteing and mean intent on Battery Performance but still snappy.
This one the undervolting is of my personal voltage table that runs stable for me with other tweaks. If it runs successfully for anyone else then battery performance may be great.
This one is for those that likes the thrill of trying something new and unsure if it will work

Undisputed 3 (updated: 12~11~13)
This is a universal performance setup in which combines the essential elements of other profiles by providing equal battery life, speed, performance, and stability to bring the ultimate experience to your device.
https://copy.com/H0FUiELjgegB
ECLIPSE v2 (updated: 10~25~13)
This is a performance oriented option where great battery life is also expected to intervene. This not only will bring an incredibly stable, smooth, and snappy feel to your device but will also benefit towards longer lasting battery so you can love and enjoy your phone the way you were meant to.
https://copy.com/fgFWgW30IE38
Asking Alexandria
Another battery driven profile in which focuses on saving as much juice as possible while also maintaining stability and providing an extremely snappy feel to your phone. It is quite possibly one of the smoothest and snappiest battery saving profiles available.
Why Asking Alexandria?
It's named after yet another one of my top favorite metalcore bands and I chose this because Alexander The Great basically ruled the world at one point and "Alexandria" is the female equivalent to that name, which has become known to mean the "one who comes to save warriors".
"Asking" was an addition to the title name as an indication in the sense that we are all asking Alexandria what she can really do to our phone.

Project Daylight v2 by @mamba720027 (updated: 12~23~13)
Day Light is focused mainly on battery conservation. I felt that its useless if its not smooth and lags alot so I add performance into the mix createing a profile that offers both while its first and foremost goal "battery performance" is still preserved and not diminish. This profile is yet unique and on a different level from my early release of "Icarus"
The contents are 3 profiles unique in their own way, "Daylight", "Daybreak" and "Experimental" along with a "Extra" folder containing wallpapers I created on our S4 for fun while testing . Kind of gives me some inspiration and sense of feel of what my objective is.
Daybreak is a crossbread profile of my Icarus Performance profile and Daylight. Its simply utilizing the performance power behind Icarus Performance profile while useing Daylight profile governor settings as its core to boost battery performance
The experimental profile is heavily undervolted/Underclocked with tweaked scheduler and governor. I taught if some of you could run it stable then it may produce great or mix results

What Lies Beneath
This is an extreme battery performance setup in which essentially transforms your quad-core device into a dual core device.
Why "What Lies Beneath"?
You'll find that during light to moderate operations the cpu remains at lower frequencies for an extended period of time and will only jump to max when needed. Although it's clocked at a max of 1.3ghz it maintains a surprisingly smooth and snappy feel to your device at such low frequencies. This is where battery life is also expected to come in to play as well.
https://copy.com/PXAKKLMFdNDU
Ktoonsified v2 (updated: 12~23~13)
This profile was put together by none other than the BOSS himself, @ktoonsez! This is a performance oriented option in which also offers a great deal of battery life. Haven't tried these settings yet? then what are you waiting for!! Load em up and be prepared for one of the smoothest and snappiest experiences ever!

Sleeping Dragon by @mamba720027 (updated: 12~23~13)
Sleeping Dragon V2 Single Core
This is a single core profile aimed at consumeing the least battery for a time when you will be away from home or at work and away from the charger. It was a profile i played with at first as i did not expect it to mount as much with apps and system UI needing a right amount of performance from a CPU to meet todays tasks in performance. In the end i was able to tame the dragon and make it work as best as possible to achieve its goal
Sleeping Dragon V1 Quad-Core
This is the counter part of Sleeping Dragon V2 but with many tweaked parameters to make it a fully functional 4 Core base profile in hopes to achieve close or same battery performace as its single core entity. Unfortunately i still am not sure if it measures up but what i know from previous test with settings @Stock it hold its own in battery department. I am pleased with the results although i would wish to see some light usage results from users.I must give credits to Luigi for useing parts from his Balanced Bull Script, and Undisputed 3 Script and part from my Crimson Dragon Script. I am pleased to present users with this 4 Core or Quadcore profile

Hydra
Eclipse and Kamikaze clash with one another in this hybrid profile (BIG thanks to @mamba720027 for the amazing work done on Kamikaze!). This is perfect for those who favor one or both of these profiles. With the merging of some of the essential performance and battery elements of each profile as well as a few minor adjustments, this one also stands as it's own profile and it flies!.

Ghost Rider by @galaxys3man30
this setup can benchmark on 1890,1944 and 1998 and its been really good on battery even thou its a performance setup think im going to call it ghost rider cuz its a sleeper yea it shows good battery life but behind that is the raw performance that is on demand when needed.

Crimson Dragon by @mamba720027
This is a profile that i put together from a lost in the thread Dual Core profile "Lazy Dragon". What was suppose to be a V2 Update of it turned into a 4 Core profile and something totally new, Crimson Dragon. This profile is a variable of Performace and keeping things balance. Its very smooth on TW and produce great results on AOSP as well threw testing and feedback. Please enjoy this new addition :good:

The link to at least the flashable recoveries goes to a Galaxy S3 thread.
That is pretty dangerous to link to that from here as someone is going to try and flash those on his GS4 without reading thoroughly first.
If your first post is a work in progress and you just copied from your gs3 thread to get the formatting you should put a big disclaimer at the top warning people not to use what they fins here until you are done.
Just dont want to see someone yelling at you because they werent careful about what they flashed.

You just know some goofball would have flashed an S3 kernel and bricked his phone and come here blaming you saying "Well yeah I saw it was for the S3, but you linked it in the S4 thread so I figured I was safe! It's your fault!"
Theres an aroma bug i am facing, if i try to scroll down soon it wont let me, i get taken to first choice.
---------- Post added at 09:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:17 PM ----------
also, after flashing this when i go to boot, it says ROM may flash stock recovery , this cannot be undone...

I have this on my international S4 so you have confirmed both GS4 models have been effected. It's aroma itself. I'll let @RErick know and hopefully one day aroma has better touch drivers for us.
For now try this method I have been doing. Hold a finger low on the screen and drag up but do not let go with that finger. With your other hand, use a finger to tap the selections you could not get to. This helps where before you'd scroll and let go and you would be back where screen position started. Hopefully that helps eek the install through. For each section you must hit none for all installs you would like to skip or the installer will not continue as you go through the options.
Please continue reporting issues, this is greatly appreciated.

Great thank you ^.^
Working good so far btw I think lol, I have not gotten the chance of looking at ktz original setting, i flashed you guy's tweak after the first boot. Will post up a screenshot up in a min here of everything i got so far. I choose the AOSP balance setting in the aroma I believe it was suppose to be with ktoonservativeq and noop? but when I booted it was row..(so im not sure if settings were actually flashed or not?) I know for sure buildprop was edited.
Also, can I get some information about the section with crossbreeder? Is crossbreeder install alone? Because in that section of the aroma it gave you option to uninstall, I did not choose that, I believe I choose the first option. So that means crossbreeder is install along yes?
Battery seems good I believe. 1 hour screen time with 14% battery of normal use is not bad at all
Benchmark not as good as I had hope for a balance setting. But they rarely matters for me so its not that big of a deal

The ktweaker back ups should be labeled but are not yet. They are from GS3 I should get some GS4 ones with RErick in about two weeks. I would try Raw Intellects file he posted some posts back for more performance via kernel settings.
I would try setting noop again if that is your preferred scheduler. It is always great on battery.
If you have 99TKmod and 98Cron in your intid our systctrl loaded as well.
Yes based on your selection you have the stock crossbreeder mod installed. I will get you link for info on crossbreeder. The uninstall is included for users with the stock crossbreeder installed and want to install our tweaks, both included crossbreeder versions were modded to work with our whole setup, the one labeled modified though only has entropy generation enabled and extra crossbreeder features disabled such as dns boost/tether boost/adblock and governor tweaks of which for some users have caused lots of issues so we included a version which after second boot on modified crossbreeder version is finished being setup automatically but must wait about 4-5min to be sure the scriot for it ran before reboot. So for you with the stock crossbreeder installed which has been made fully compatible with our setup, you are all set and should be running as normal for you.
Ill get link here for crossbreeder thread for info for you.

Looks good. Temps can greatly effect bench scores and also a balanced setup will always score when good for battery about those ranges. For more performance you can try @rawintellect setup for ktweaker gs4 version few posts back.

Increase LG G4 battery life by 30% must be rooted

*I no longer have this phone so these values and builds will not be updated if you would like to add new values for this phone or add tweaks to existing builds then feel free to post them on this thread.
*This requires root
I decided to make this thread to share with you guys a tweak that I found that really helped my battery life. I was never able to get more than 3hrs of screen on time on my phone or get decent standby times on lollipop like I did when I was on marshmallow but I may have found a solution. I stumbled on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/guide-advanced-interactive-governor-t3269557 by soniCron give the guy a thanks while you're over there. This guide is for CPU settings to increase battery life and performance. I saw that it was for the Nexus 5x and because the g4 and 5x have the same CPU I decided to give it a shot. I never noticed much performance improvements but I did notice a big battery improvement like I said before. There are many different flavors of tweaks to try and I ended up going with GhostPepper and then tweaking it to my liking.
Here are my settings for the G4 based on GhostPepper
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Yn-qtExspkzINkhtjHBhQyrbtSdMLH9ls4booeqsfh4/edit?usp=sharing
* 8/14/16 If you used the settings from the beta build Turtle or modded GhostPepper check to make sure your settings are up to date. I just changed some target load numbers slightly and fixed an error with the values for above_hispeed_delay. I also fixed an error with a value for the modded GhostPepper settings.
*8/15/16 Slight changes to beta settings to increase smoothness and battery life slightly
*8/17/16 Small change to beta settings to increase smoothness more and changed development status of Turtle to stable beta meaning you can probably use it without worrying about battery drain or slow downs though it does need more testing to move it to daily use
After changing these values with some type of kernel tweaking app I used kernel adiutor, make sure all CPU boosting settings like touch boost or input interval are off or at 0
After applying these settings you should see noticeable improvements in battery life
If you find any better settings add them to the thread.
*I am not responsible if your phone dies, bootloops, bricks, or causes the world to explode.
Unfortunately, this requires root, so no-go on MM.

I meant to put that in the post updating it now.
I found simply changing my governor to interactive greatly increased my battery life. I am going to try this and see what I get. I'll post results.

OK great this uses the interactive governor.
New Beta Settings
I have updated the main post with a link to a list of settings one of them is the one that was on there before and the other is one I am working on. The beta I just added seems fairly decent from my testing though this is my first time trying to make my own The small core settings are ones that I did and the Big core settings are slightly tweaked GhostPepper settings. This one seems smooth from my testing maybe not as smooth as the first one I added but it does seem to have a little better battery life when doing light gaming. If your adventurous go for it and report any issues and the battery life you are getting. I also turned all thermal settings off like Core control, VDD, and Temp throttle. It didn't have any affect on my temps if anything they went down a little maybe 1 or 2 degrees but did seem to help smoothness and making sure the governor settings acted right on both profiles.

Just wanted to post an update on the battery life I am getting with the beta settings. I managed to get almost 5hrs of screen on time with the Turtle settings beating my previous longest screen on time from the images in the first post. I managed to do this with even more demanding tasks. In the first post the battery times are with mainly web browsing this time I was mainly watching Netflix and YouTube for about 3hrs worth of my screen on time. My brightness was also 10% higher than the first time. I also did a standby test and managed to only drain 3% overnight and it said I would get 139 hrs of standby time which I think is insanely good.
Battery life test
I just ran the Geekbench 3 battery test and managed to get 5 hrs 45 min and a score of 3456 on the beta settings. I managed to beat the G4 battery time by 50min and this was with 30% brightness and Bluetooth, WiFi, and Cell on no airplane mode. I also managed to beat the G3 and almost got the same battery time as the OnePlus One.

Hi, dude. I'm very interested in tweaking my G4 to get better battery life as at the moment I need to charge it twice a day. I just have a noob question, could you please tell me how you disabled touchboost using Kernel Adiutor?

Go to the CPU section then scroll all the way down till you get to a section that says CPU Boost. Set the Interval to 0 Sync Threshold disabled and Input Interval to 0. The input boost frequency will never disable for me but with the above settings it shouldn't matter because it will never run anyway.

I would try the GhostPepper settings first. The beta settings seem to give me better battery but they are still a work in progress and not as smooth as the other settings but you can use them if you want any feedback on those settings would be appreciated. I was also surprised how much those settings did for my battery life.
I decided to do a benchmark on how much of a difference there was between stock and the custom settings and to show I wasn't making stuff up by saying that I used these settings and magically got almost double battery life With the stock settings I got just a hair over 3hrs vs almost 6hrs on the tweaked CPU settings. You can see the results from stock in the IMG. The results for the tweaked settings are near the bottom of the first page.

hey man i just tried yours and let we see the performance in next day. anyway the tweak that youve done is only on the CPU? no GPU or whatsoever? what if i implemented from others, let say other G4 users that tweak the GPU and i combined with your CPU tweak. any problem?
Hey man, how could I get the tweak for this setting? Thank you
I didn't think you could tweak the kernel without an unlocked bootloader for the Verizon G4 (vs98613b)?

Thermals and Kernel Managers

Thermals, Kernel Managers and their affect on short and long term battery life.
As requested, by fellow LePro 3 owners, I created this thread for a discussion on the benefits of thermal management, using manual thermal settings, and sharing flashable thermals and user settings. To be clear I am not yet an expert on this subject, so I am learning along with everyone else. But, why not share the experience?
Of course we want our phones to last, while also pushing them to their limits, but in a safe and efficient manner. Recently our developers have shared their ideas on thermal management, and they have been gracious enough to allow us access to their own settings, that can be used across multiple builds. See the link below to download the first set of flashable thermal management options.
Recently, some of us have encountered shutdown issues, with some roms having battery stats reporting issues, unexpected shutdowns, and unrelated unrelated lockscreen issues. We users have found that often these troubled builds can be fixed by flashing a fix. Such as the thermals from a previous or other builds that did not have the same issue. Fortunately, it appears that we can use alternate perf and thermal management files that have not only offered a quick fix for some of these current issues, but also offers a longterm solution for using old, new, and future roms builds...collectively. :good:
The plan is to make this discussion much more extensive and simple
So consider this initial post to be an ever changing rough draft.
The end goal is to make it much easier for people to access and share their thermal management files or settings in one easily found central location, and hopefully for everyone to share their suggestions along the way
Helpful to Gamers who want safe power and speed.
Helpful to Non-Gamer's who want simply want stable performance, long battery life
Help everyone by helping us learn to optimize our phones to last for the longterm.
For me, no more repeating the same stuff over and over on various Rom threads, or private messages. No more having trouble digging through threads to find a recommended thermal or setting. So please participate, we can keep the OP updated whenever anything new comes along. Should I get access to something new I will add it to the Megadrive and make a post
Inventory
So far we have the thermals from Lineage, AEX, Balkan, AICP, EUI and in my view one the best is the latest by Jabashque. The idea of this post is to share the thermal settings so that they can be used on whichever ROM you want to try out.
Finally, you do not necessarily need to use these thermals unless you have an issue with general usage, heat or battery life. However, you will immediately notice the benefits.
Edit ( Updated Info)
Regarding kernels: Personally, I use BlackScreen 6.3, it has a long list of governors and I like options.
Currently the best thermal option is the Jabashque edit ( Thermal Fix 7 ) Get it Here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78717015&postcount=18
These thermals work!
Over the past 2 weeks, I have gone back and tried several old ROMs, and these thermal and profiles make those old Roms perform so much better! For example, the September 3rd JMXL version of DotOS.: Yes, Its outstanding with the Sergey thermal. BootLegger's is also much improved, and it was already pretty great as it was. The Miui ROMs, are significantly improved by far! etc.
Of course we have so many great Roms. Occasionally, we get a build that is experimental and it may have unexpected issues. We have seen over the past week that flashing an alternate thermal is a perfect way to save the installation without having to revert to an earlier build. I mentioned old Roms above, they also work on every single Pie Rom.
Here is My Mega Drive Link for all of Thermals that I have collected so far

Alternate Link with key

Jabasque's thermals are in the Jabashque folder. Version 1 and 2 :
Probably shouldn't result in any difference if not gaming.
"Most likely, it would only be noticeable if you're not throttled down to 1440/1900MHz and you're running something that's using 100% cpu" ( Jabashque)
What to use
If you are wanting long battery life and low temperatures use Sergey's thermal or JaBashque version 1
If you want stock EUI faster throttling but slightly higher temps use the ShivateJappedi EUI thermal.
If you want to leave your cores unchanged from the default setting with higher temp throttling, more full power access and yet still safe while use JaBashque 6 Its a rework of the EUI 30s thermals designed to work better on modern Pie Roms : See more information here: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_device_leeco_zl1/+/238809
Soon, I will create a post in the reserved section below to deeply define the details and differences between these thermals. Because while they all have similarities, they are also very different from one another.
In addition, I plan to add various kernel manager settings for various uses : Gaming, Long Life etc.
Finally, even when moving to another Rom. kernel manager programs such as Ex Kernel Manager will allow you to import and use saved profiles. It seems that it is possible to save the best of each of these thermals by saving the profiles of each. We can share those settings! Then later you can manually choose within your kernel manager which settings you want to use by simply importing choosing a preferred profile.
I hope this clears up the confusion. As mentioned this is a work in progress that was requested by 3 people. This is just the beginning of this discussion that will help everyone understand how to use Kernel Managers and the add-on thermals patches. I need to do some further research to make it all worthwhile . For example, although I love the elementalX governor, I haven't researched it enough to explain why I think it's better. So I plan to find out specifically what it's actually doing vs what other governors do, and how does changing sample rates, and wake locks affect performance and battery life etc.
If there are any experts out there? Please chime in and contribute.
See Updated information from Jabashque, which explains the differences between patch 1 and patch 2
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78670166&postcount=2
Installation
Dirty flash the patch that you want to use..thats it.
If you want to try a different patch, dirty flash the Rom, reflash Magisk and dirty flash the patch
You can manually adjust settings by going to /vendor/etc/thermal-engine.conf
Update from JaBashque Edit April 21 2019: ( I use ThermalFix7, its my personal favorite/ it is the best and the safest period.)
@tsongming
Hey, after seeing your thread about thermals, I felt I should write an explanation about how my v1 and v2 differ from stock EUI thermals that you could add to that forum post, since the one you have on there was me describing the difference between v1 and v2, not stock EUI: "JaBashque"
There are two different set of sensors that the original config monitors for the CPU:
the CPU temp sensors (tsens_tz_sensor{4,6,9,11}) and xo_therm_buf. The CPU temp sensors measure the temps of the cores themselves. xo_therm_buf measures what seems to be some sort of overall temperature, though I'm not sure what in particular. However, xo_therm_buf does correlate more directly with how hot your phone feels.
Original:
thermal-engine rapidly throttles your CPU down to 902MHz on the little cores and 825MHz on the big cores when any one of the cores hits 95C, and stops only when the hottest core drops back to 65C. When xo_therm_buf gets to 43C, thermal-engine slowly throttles all your cores to 902MHZ little and 825MHz big until xo_therm_buf drops back to 40C.
Patchset 1:
thermal-engine rapidly throttles your CPU down to 902MHz on the little cores and 825MHz on the big cores when any one of the cores hits 85C, and stops only when the hottest core drops back to 65C. When xo_therm_buf gets to 37C, thermal-engine throttles all your cores to 1440MHZ little and 1900MHz big until xo_therm_buf drops back to 34C. When xo_therm_buf gets to 43C, thermal-engine throttles all your cores to 1132MHZ little and 1363MHz big until xo_therm_buf drops back to 40C. When xo_therm_buf gets to 50C, thermal-engine throttles all your cores to 979MHZ little and 1132MHz big until xo_therm_buf drops back to 43C.
Patchset 2:
thermal-engine throttles your CPU down to 1516MHz on the little cores and 2054MHz on the big cores when any one of the cores hits 95C, and stops only when the hottest core drops back to 65C.
This change was made because I realized that the previous version still had a situation where the CPU performance can tank unpredictably. xo_therm_buf-related CPU throttling is same as Patchset 1.
Thanks to JaBashque for sharing his work! Patch-set 2 is my personal preference. Although the Sergey Perf + Combo is also very good.

I am very curious for test this...

You can dirty flash these thermals.
Personally I like Sergey and Jabashque version 2 the best so far on Pie roms.
The Shivate patch works really well on Marshmallow, Nougat and Oreo.
The Sergey patch works really well on Oreo and Pie, I haven't tried it on Nougat Roms yet.
You can manually adjust settings by going to /vendor/etc/thermal-engine.conf and In this same folder ( vendor/etc) you can also make audio changes, and I am not talking about policies and Tasha.xml files, although you would make changes to those files too, if wanted. This will be something that we can discuss in more detail soon.

Either the Sergey or the JaBashque 2 with be perfect, depending on what you want.
Use Sergey if your goal is battery saving.
Use JaBashque 2 if you want better gaming performance.
@tsongming thank you for this useful thread. I just have one question. I noticed that sergey's thermal file you uploaded comes also with perf so do you know is it maybe EUI perf and if not is it possible to upload just sergey's thermal without perf? Thanks.
I'm using aex 6.2 and i play a lot of games, but i looking for something that gives the power to run the games and after that (of course after some time without using the cellphone to cooldown) use the phone without worry of him overheat with simple use like 39 or 37 ºC. Do you have something like that?

Sure, I can extract the perf, I will do that and add it to a separate folder so that there are two options.
Edit: Here is the Sergey thermal only
I removed the perf and added the additional key edit options from the Jabashque patch. So this a combo patch.
Use at your own risk
However, I have tested this and it works fine. I wanted to give the caveat that I am a Noob at this! But its okay. FYI: all I did was remove the perf, so now the perf will come from the rom and I added the Moshe key feature, which some Roms such as AICP includes anyway.

If you are not having any issues, then don't install any of these.
However, if you want to try it, keep a record of your existing performance, battery life, heat levels for battery and CPU (when idle) and compare that against using these thermals.
If you flash one of these thermals and don't like it. You can quickly return to your previous settings by dirty flashing your rom, or by restoring the system part of a nandroid backup.

Understand that you still have to setup your kernel manager. If you are wanting to use it for Gaming use the JaBashque version 2 to and leave the cores on the highest setting.
Yes, it works. It works for me a and a lot of other people on Telegram
If you want low temperatures and long battery life underclock the cores at idle my battery hovers around 85 F and the CPU are around 100-105F
Just so you know you can access your thermal.conf file and edit it manually to increase your thermal limit in /vendor/etc/thermal-engine.conf
Next, save a copy of your existing current setup as a profile, so you can easy switch from one to another with ease and easily compare it to the changes of using an alternative file. You can tweak it to the settings that you are wanting...Just keep safety in mind or you could burn up your CPU.

Sorry I haven't been on XDA much recently, and never received the notification.
If you use Bootleggers, the stock kernel is fine. But blackScreen 6.3 will work fine and it gives you more options. You flash the thermal at anytime. I recommend the Thermal-fix7 which is Jabashque 6 that I edited to fix a typo. No there is no conflict
