If I recall, the NPN25.137-43-5 update is for those on Verizon, to fix poor quality calls. If you want the OTA to download, there's a copy here (for retail, it appears from the updater script inside): https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/how-to/npn25-137-43-5-update-retus-verizon-t3657881
Looking at the updater script for this too, you need NPN25.137-35 (which appears to be a US focussed Potter build) to flash this. If you're on NPNS25.137-35-5, the US May security patch build - I'm not sure if this build has the Verizon specific calling fixes of the 43-5 patch, you'll have to wait for the next builds to come out, which hopefully should bring everyone up to the same patch level and with the same fixes. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-G...izon-very-poor-call-quality/m-p/3777525#M9883
Code:
Package expects build thumbprint of 7.0/NPN25.137-43-5/5:user/release-keys or 7.0/NPN25.137-35/37:user/release-keys

If you have an unlocked bootloader and want to update safely, you can check out my TWRP flashable of this build and others here:

New Security Patch Today

Just checked for AT&T updates a few minutes ago on my Note5 and low and behold a new security patch update is available for the phone. It is a 77.77mb file. My current patch level is 2016-02-01 . . . It auto downloaded but gave me the option to hold off on the install until a later time and I did not install it. Does anyone have any information about this new security patch?

Sorry!
I just completed the install. It updated with a new baseband and build as follows:
Security Patch Level = 2016-05-01
Baseband = N920AUCS2APE3
Kernel (unchanged) = 3.10.61-7085450
Build Number = LMY47X.N920AUCS2APE3
Interesting... I wonder if the pressure from the FCC forced them to release this update? Doesn't make sense with their Marshmallow build OTA being developed as a PB2 to PE# convention...

So the security patch is still a month behind BPE6, which is June 1.
I wonder if those of us on BPE5 or BPE6 will have to revert to APE3 in order to get future OTA releases of 6.0.1.
And I'm curious what happens if we're on BPE5 or BPE6 and check for an OTA update now (I can't check for another several hours). Does it get confused, or does it just say we're still up-to-date?

Today's OTA is APB2-to-APE3.
So downloading that would be the same as waiting for the ota to come out?
I've tried to install it twice but after my phone restarts it comes up with a message that the install was interrupted. So I don't know what's going on with this update as I'm on a good wifi connection.

Waiting for which OTA to come out? We don't know if the OTA following today's APE3 will be a Marshmallow update, and if it is, we don't know if it will be BPE6.

Right now this is your only option: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/rom-twrp-flashable-stock-builds-t3675616
For the moment, this is your only option. Do not take OTAs after flashing. you'll need to wait for that thread to update for future updates until a current full set of images leaks. I'm in the same boat right now. Motorola sucks under Lenovo.

[Download] G5 Plus March Security Update for Retail Channels

Hey everyone,
You can download the March security update for G5 Plus (Retail channel only) from here
Side-load it through ADB.
(Note: This has been tested on Indian retail variant. It may/may not work on other retail variants - proceed at your own risk)
New build number is NPNS25.137-92-8
My RETIN device hasn't received the OTA yet. Is it rolling out now?

You may edit the title to something like "G5 Plus March Security Updates for Indian Retail Devices" as some users still don't know that it's a different firmware than for reteu/retus devices (those are ending on 93) and flashing this one could cause problems or at least take the opportunity to receive future OTA's.
Just a hint, no insinuation in any way, it's great that people like you share their firmware.

Because of the model number/retail area mismatch, this seems to cause the failure of imei and volte to remain working after reboot.
Never a good idea to flash another regions software ?

I don't see any problem with that, since it's a retail variant and there's no radio (carrier) dependency. Since all Moto G5 Plus retail variants are identical (except for no. of SIMs), there shouldn't any issue generally.
Can we just install it through TWRP ?
Bcoz i had hard bricked my moto g5 plus and use albus blank flash and i got like Moto z play bootloader and finally now its running by losing voLTE and Google pixel experience with 3g ...
So i am just wondering if i can flash it through twrp and then i get moto g5 plus boot loader back then i again flash a latest version firmware...
Please help me
thanks in advance <3

If you take a look here: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL/
you'll see retail variants ending on 92 (+something) and on 83/93(+something). Both are retail firmwares and I think you can flash a 92 on a european or us device but as you change into the retin channel you won't receive regular OTA anymore. Motorola/Lenovo makes it hard to differ between the firmwares and I will try to find a stable source for that. I'm from Germany and I'm rooted so I don't take OTA's at the moment but friends of mine have received the march security patch and they are on a build called NPNS25.137-93-4.

No, after using albus blank flash you can't flash regular firmware anymore. You have to use a TWRP flashable version or any custom ROM.

Yes, you´re right, I mixed it up. 93-4 was for january I believe? But it´s 93-x for RETUS/RETEU, not 92-x., that´s what I wanted to point out.

I think i read somewhere in other threads that we can do it once oreo roles out .... so that we can pull away the new boot loader and push it to the hard bricked phones then we can normally get back the Moto g5 plus with official Oreo with OEM locking...
is this true ?

Possible. Like with the missing volte/4g or IMEI 0 problem some people hope that Oreo can fix it.
We will only be sure when/if Oreo is available.

So after releasing Oreo for moto g5 plus .. how long it might take to fix our phones using this method ? do we have to wait for deodexed oreo ROM or just directly install boot loader into phone and flash and push Oreo using fastboot method ?

I can't tell you. I'm not sure if Lenovo comes out with Oreo at all, it's been a long time of waiting now.
I think you are able to try it at once when you can grab a firmware with bl but maybe you'll have to wait until TWRP flashable builds are available or the kernel sources are released and some clever Dev can pick the needed files.
You can just wait and hope.

Oxygen OS 10.5.5 Update

Just installed the 10.5.5 update from 10.5.4 and I can. say the back gestures are a lot easier to use now! Also if you where having WiFi or Data issues this hopefully fixes that. If anyone notices any features or changes please list them below!
This is the AA (Global) Version in the USA.

Updated in Germany over VPN thx
Can someone post the full zip please. I need the correct boot.img. Until then my phone is sort of dead. I used the patched image from another thread to root but the OS was updated before I did that. There is a mismatch between the 10.5.5 it's on now and the 10.5.4 boot image.
A 10.5.5 patched boot image would be ideal if someone can make one. I don't know how. I also don't see the 10.5.5 update available for download anywhere so I can't overwrite my system with that.
Thanks for the changelog. Looks like they didn't fix the screen issues. Didn't Oneplus say they would tackle it in the next OTA?
