Is there any way to charge the Moto Power Pack before the Z2 Play?

I just took it off my phone and sat it in the wireless charger. Don't know of any other way.

The Moto Power Pack doesn't have wireless charging afaik. The one you have is probably the Incipio Power Pack.

Magnetic Charging Cable for Z Ultra / Z1 incompetible

http://www.netimes.com/shop/magneti...ony-xperia-z-ultra-sony-xperia-z1-p-4975.html
Can anyone verify this? If it really works with Z1? i bought one and its not charging. I use a 2.1A Innergie Plug with a 2.1Amp input which is the same current as the original charger.
When you buy things from China/Hong Kong, you may get something dodgy - not saying you definately will, but when you hear about exploding iphones and whatnot, I think it is down to that.
I just bought the official charger for the Xperia Z Ultra, and took out the cable from the dock and just use that personally.
Have now 4 magntic charging cables dismantled from the dock, all 4 work perfectly and grant fast charging ..........................

Is dismantling the dock easy? I'm somewhat of a beginner at things like that.

Got one of these a couple of weeks ago and no problems with it. Using it with the official charger and seems to charge fine. Guess I got one that was not assembled on a Friday afternoon.

no it doesn't
and the Z Ultra Dock and Z1 dock are the same except for the slot as the phones are different thickness - I use a ZU dock with my Z1
and to the OP - the Sony original charger has the data pins shorted out to enable fast charging when the phone detects this - it is the phone that decides whether to fast charge or not based on the shorted pins

Thank you, what do you mean wit " the OP"?, Which is the data pin?
Other hand, do you know if the cable has any polarity?
OP = Original post
yes there is polarity - +
The USB has 4x pins/connections - + and two data pins in the middle, as the mains charger has no use for data connection they are shorted out on the charger to enable the phone to identify a charger with fast charge ability
you could have a 2.1 amp charger connected to the phone but if the data pins are not shorted out the phone will limit the charge rate at 0.5 amps or 500ma

quick charger 2.0

I just bought iVoler quick charger to try it because the price was low and the reviews said it was quality made. I Just received this the other day, and I plugged in my Z4 and it said Z4 detected, so it indeed does support the Qualcomm Quick Charging feature! Charging was fast and held strong with my Z4. Charging the battery from 0 to 25% in about 19 minutes. And the 6 foot USB cable is of good quality and really nice. It also fits into my Z4 with a nice click, and fits well around my case. I will definitely buy more of these!
The great product need to be shared.

Its gonna get a tad bit hotter because of the rate of charging that happens. So its normal
@david870325, would you mind installing Ampere (Play Store) and supplying us with the charge rate you get?
I get 850mah from my mac, 1100 from my Tronsmart QC2.0 charger. I'm also trying out a new kernel this afternoon, to see if that affects charge speeds.
I think this number should actually be higher as well....

If it is for any help the official Quick Charger rates around 1800-2100mA until I hit 80-90% when it goes down in its rate. Been working awesome so far for me and provides really fast charging speeds.

Hello everybody. I am new.
I own a Z3+, mono-sim, E6553.
If I got it correctly the phone is certified to be compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge Technology 2.0, at least the mono-sim card model.
I bought an Aukey Quick Charger (model PA-T9, Qualcomm certified and it supports up to Quick Charge 3.0) but it doesn't seem to be very effective.
Total recharge time is still around 2 hours, I experienced a slightly better performance while in the middle of the charge (about 10 percent points better if compared to standard charger performance) but the improvement is not as good as it was claimed. I checked with Ampere App and it takes around 800-1100 mA, which is the same result I obtain with the standard charger.
Until now I only did a limited number of tests, with the phone turned on and starting from 10% battery level (without using the phone or turning the screen on). I am still a little disappointed.
Anybody else here that rely upon Quick Charge and is not satisfied? What could I possibly do? Is this a problem of the charger ( although it works fine with my Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe) or is it just the best that the phone can do?
I am a little resistant to buy the official Sony UCH10 now; it's expensive and I fear my phone could have a hardware/software problem.
Thanks in advance!

If you have unlocked bootloader, flash zachs latest kernel, and check ampere again, see what happens becouse depends on the kernel.

I have been using a certified quick charger 2.0 for at least a year now with my Z3+.. I usually charge my phone when the battery level is around 15%-20% and it usually takes about 1 hour & 20 minutes to get to 95%-100%, which is reasonable enough for me.. I had my phone turned off most of the time when I charge using the quick charger.. That is because the Z3+ tends to get hot when charging, even more so when using a quick charger.. I would suggest you to try my practice and see if there are any improvements..
i have dual sim and gsm says dual does not support this, what do you think?can i use it?
Xperia Z3 plus DUAL doesn't support Quick charge 2.0
@pou_gh2
I also have Xperia Z3 plus DUAL sim. I knew that XZ3p supports QC2.0. So i bought dual sim variant randomly. But after purchase when i tried to use QC2.0 charger for my phone I found that my phone does not support Quick charge 2.0.
I googled it and found that there are some hardware differences between E6533(dual sim) and E6553(single sim) including
- Quick charge 2.0 support (only single sim)
- Modem LTE Cat6 (single sim only) LTE Cat4 (dual sim)
- etc. (Google it yourself, if you face anything confused)
.
I also saw images of Single sim and Dual sim main PCB on internet. I found that there is actual hardware differences instead of software limitation. So chill up and enjoy 4g on both sims alternatively.

That doesn't mean the Oneplus will.. It will do 2Amp fastcharging and dash but that's it. Luckily you get the Dash cable + Adapter with the phone.
OnePlus fast charging is implemented very differently than Qualcomm's Quick charge or Motorola implementation.
You can search for technical details on Google.
That's why OnePlus 3 won't charge as quick as it gets with Dash Charger.
Hope it helps. Thanks!
Dash charger, best time 46 minutes with phone off.

Wireless Charger Receiver

Hiya [emoji4]
Has anyone used one of these QI Receivers to add wireless charging to their phones?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RXBQFVV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_HrWfFb7VS91BA
I'm paranoid about wearing down the USB C port with using or for both wired headphones and wired charging. I've only had the phone a week and have managed to slightly bend the USB C port pins when I pulled the phone off the table with some headphones plugged in [emoji17]
I know charging will be slow but wondered if anyone had used one at all?

I bought one of these as ive got a really nice wireless charger stand and it was only a tenner to give it a try. Absolutely useless. Tried it on 2 fast wireless chargers - a 27W and a 15W one with different plugs (the Supervooc, a huawei supercharger and a Fast charge 2.0) and different cables and the most i could get to show on a charge meter app was 134mah - but the charge was all over the place and mostly was well below 100 and as soon as the phone thinks about something then into the negetive.. I'm not sure that even all night on that charge would get from 0-100%
If anyone else has tried a different one that works well (I know that it wont charge very quick, i'd just like to be confident that it would fully charge overnight) then please post links!!
Damn! I'm in the same boat, I've got a nice Samsung convertible wireless charger which is now acting as a fancy bedside phone stand due to the Oppo not having wireless charging.
I heard reviews from others on Amazon that said the same as you said, it's slow (which is fine), but also that even after a full night of charging, the phone wasn't full in the morning! [emoji17]

I was having another play and tried another wireless charging pad - a 15W one with a Quickcharge 2 plug both 'Ventev' brand (the one i was trying to get to work was a Huawei Suoercharge wireless charging stand) and it consistently charged at 350mAh. This would be slow but probably enough to get a charge overnight - so I'd say it may be worth a try as it seems it all depends on the charger you use.

hello
have a nice day

Moto G Fast on RETUS can turbo charge!

I have a Boost Mobile Moto G8 Fast xt 2045-3. I also have a Moto G7 Power. When I got the Fast a couple of weeks ago I tried the 3 amp charger from the Power on it and watched the amperage with the Ampere app. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.ampere). The kernel in the stock Boost OS wouldn't let it charge above about 1800 mAh. I rooted the other day and installed the latest RETUS OS. Tonight I accidentally plugged them in backwards and saw the Fast hit almost 2700 mAh. I didn't think to tell you guys until later, but later I got a screenshot of it at around 2300 mAh. I also got a picture of the output of both of the Motorola's chargers in case anyone wants to get a 3 amp adaptive charger and start turbocharging.
EDIT: It seems it doesn't Turbo Charge until you flash the Magisk patched kernel to root it, so it may do that on the Boost OS as well, but I'm not about to download and install the Boost system again.
yes it have turbo power just doesnt include these charger, I already used old charger from moto G7 and when I plugged it on G8 popup show Turbopower connected Charging rapidly
Yes, the G8 supports 15W charging. I do not know why Motorola writes on their pages (which is why others copy this information) about charging only 10W. Maybe because of the included charger? However, on the description pages of their chargers, Motorola mentions 15W charging support for the G8, for example here:
https://www.motorola.com/us/motorola-turbopower-45w-wall-charger-with-5-amp-e-marked-usb-c-cable/p
In FAQ:
Up to 15W- Moto Z family, Moto G6, G6 Plus, G7, G7 Power, G7 Optimo Maxx, G7 Supra, G Power, G8, G8 Plus, X4, Motorola One, One Power, One Vision, One Zoom
