No guys, it's how it works on V30, my videos are just like this, even if you walk while shooting the camera makes the video completely smooth

I'm interested in what you have the phone attached to?

I suppose it is a selfie stick. Had it been a gimbal, there would have been absolutely no shake.

EDIT: quoted comment by @20degrees removed because he objected to it being included in this post.

:55 into the video. Yeah some kind of stick, but so what? Still very smooth, great video.

Why do you always try to question what I or others post? I was asking because it may make recording long sessions more comfortable. Go respond to all those bad screens being talked about in the tread you were very much active in before. Why not now? Cause it makes you look uneducated?
You should read more and post less.

You should read what I actually post and not get defensive. I was responding more to the the selfie stick question, not specifically to your question. I quoted two people, and my answer was for the thread, not just for you. Your comments was one I quoted only because it was relevant to what was attached to the phone, that there was an attachment in the first place -- for people who might not watch the entire video, they wouldn't know that. It was only apparent in the shadow, near the end of the video -- where I captured that screenshot.

The user said he didn't have a "stabilizer" or gimbal -- so I accept he didn't. Yet he did have some kind of attachment. My comment was for the people who thought he was artificially stabilizing the V30 video.
I can remove your comment from being quoted if you wish.
My comments are only meant to be helpful and informative. If you perceive them otherwise, it's not because of what I have actually written.
(I'm not going to mention the screen display here, as I've more than proved my points in the other thread.)

Yet now that the phone is actually released and units are showing defective screens, you don't go back to that thread... Your point wasn't proven as the defects are now proven.

Well I believe that it is recorded with gumbal stabilizer . I have one and this is what my videos look like . And I've been following people filming since v10 and even on selfie stick videos are not this smooth and steady .

Thanks.

Here is a short time lapse on the LG V30. Captured using the Evo Shift 3 Axis gimbal.
{BTW---- There is enough bull**** in the world today without phone enthusiasts ripping each other over the argument of gimbal stabilized or not. I should have mentioned it in the original video. Have a nice cup of coffee, take a deep breath and relax}

BTW----I will be in Kauai, Hawaii next week. Bringing the V30 and my gimbal....Look for challenging and beautiful vacation videos from me. I'm very excited!

Still needs work I can see a lot of parts missed in the characters, and the little flying dude looks really blocky. Just thought some helpful criticism may come in hand. Were you using more than the magic wand?

The characters are exactly as they were in their original photos... Took quite a bit of time to cut out their original backgrounds. I am going back in and adding shadows to them to give a bit more depth. And the moogle (the flying dude) looks blocky because the quality of the photo I used was crap.
I'm still kinda new to Photo Shop, but learning fast. And I certainly appreciate the criticism.. Once the picture is on your phone as a wallpaper tho, doesn't look bad at all.
Keep the comments coming... Any requests and ANY constructive criticism is ALWAYS welcome

It is good work, and as a beginner to Photoshop its nice to see you know how to use it. I would suggest using higher DPI images as your source, even if they will be shrunk down later. Good work though.

I'm sure he's referring to what I said. The wallpaper looks clearly ripped from different photos, and I can point out at least 10 specific areas that need the work. It also might help if they had shadows, might make them look like they belong in that wallpaper, rather than a cut and paste job.

He's not asking for screenshots.
I took these in Zürich last week. These are straight off the phone, no compression, no editing.
EDIT: After many cries I resized the pictures, although I believe providing full sized pictures would give more of an accurate representation.

No offense, but those are terrible pictures.
They actually don't look that bad when they're not at full size.
Yea umm, the next posters need to resize their pics before posting otherwise potential GNex owners might get the wrong impression.
Sorry, but I tend to agree with the other posters. Those pics are a horrible representation of the camera. I've taken much better night shots with the GNex, and I also have better night shots in Zurich that I took with my EVO a year or two ago. Awesome city though. The train station during Oktoberfest was very cool.
Edit - sorry, didn't mean to be so negative. I have to say that I've taken plenty bad pictures with dedicated point-and-shoots. I'm not really a photog type, but I have friends that are so I can honestly say nothing short of a nice DSLR and plenty of time playing with exposures, etc is going to get you a nice night shot. Even a very nice camera will take bad shots. Starting to ramble...that second pic is walking straight out of the train station though, right? Wow, it's very crowded. Anything in particular going on that night?
Are these any better?
Better, yes. Just got mine and I haven't taken a picture yet, but I'll miss the stellar camera in the SGS II. This is almost the same module as the Nexus S, correct? Perfectly usable camera in decent light.
After seeing shots from the GSII and owning a iPhone 4S... This thread saddens me. :/
Post your pictures, stop complaining.

I haven't used the camera app on gnex much yet, but I took a quick look yesterday. I couldn't find anything in the menu to adjust the resolution or picture detail (e.g. fine, super fine) like there was on my Captivate. Is there any way to adjust that in the settings?
I haven't really had a chance to take many pictures yet.

well unless they've made a NDGrad for the Nexus, you're always going to get black unless you HDR a couple of different exposure shots together..

i've been meaning to go out and test the pano feature! did you take this with arms out stretched or in close to your body, and how did swivel around?
its not a bad little camera, it gives better results than my 3Gs did

to be brutally honest, the nexus camera doesn't cut it. The SGS2 and iPhone 4 camera is much much better. I remember when I first got the SGS2 the camera was very poor, and it improved drastically with firmware updates, so I am hoping for the same with the Nexus.

Apologies to those with the xda app if they don't take you to image shack and show just the thumbnail.
EDIT: If possible guys, can we please have a max dimension size of 640x480 or there-abouts in the thread (or thumbnails linking to dropbox/flickr/photobucket). There are some pretty big full sized pictures in the thread and it isn't entirely user friendly for some. I recommend photobucket for easy re-sizing and generating forum [/img] links with ease
Thanks for listening.

The fact that images look great and its fast and easy to use, make for a top notch phone camera! Can't wait to get mine when released for ATT just sitting on my upgrade...

Dude it's a phone, the pictures are fantastic for a phone camera and there's a lot of shots which are very good as shown in the pictures in this thread and other threads
If you want a good camera and want to be able to not have any drawbacks, I recommend a DLSR
Or use photo shop to fix any photos maybe

Tricks to get better image look from HOX camera

Team,
I know that HOX has a very good camera that can make a decent pictures, but what i have experienced is the following:
Before you take a shot, the picture looks crisp and good enough, and when you hit the button to take a picture, you get different image (not crisp, less saturation less exposure, less contrast). this is in my opinion, so i have played a little bit and try different combination and i have arrived to this
combination which is close to what is in real:
Go to image adjustment and do this:
-Exposure +1
-Contrast +2
-Saturation +1
Sharpness +1
For ISO, it is better to do it manually.
Outdoor sunny day: 100
Indoor with light 400
indoor low light 800
Thanks

Hi Mate,
Just out of curiosity could you explain what each of the four steps arE?
I HAVENT A CLUE what they are
E.g. Saturation =
Contrast =
etc
Thanks.
Cool tips thanks but I don't think you search a little first before opening a thread.
You do know there already exist a very nice thread >> HERE
To my opinion it would be nicer to use one thread with camera tips instead of many threads all over the board.
Easier for everyone.
