I know that HOX has a very good camera that can make a decent pictures, but what i have experienced is the following:
Before you take a shot, the picture looks crisp and good enough, and when you hit the button to take a picture, you get different image (not crisp, less saturation less exposure, less contrast). this is in my opinion, so i have played a little bit and try different combination and i have arrived to this
combination which is close to what is in real:
Go to image adjustment and do this:
-Exposure +1
-Contrast +2
-Saturation +1
Sharpness +1
For ISO, it is better to do it manually.
Outdoor sunny day: 100
Indoor with light 400
indoor low light 800

I HAVENT A CLUE what they are

I just want to share my own experience, because i am an amateur photographer and i love that HOX can help me out in some situation where taking DSLR camera is difficult.

If i will explain these option it will take 2 pages may be,
good thing is to try to take picture and then go to exposure for ex and increase it to max and see what was the different and so on, you will understand it better than 2 pages of bla bla

Still needs work I can see a lot of parts missed in the characters, and the little flying dude looks really blocky. Just thought some helpful criticism may come in hand. Were you using more than the magic wand?

The characters are exactly as they were in their original photos... Took quite a bit of time to cut out their original backgrounds. I am going back in and adding shadows to them to give a bit more depth. And the moogle (the flying dude) looks blocky because the quality of the photo I used was crap.
I'm still kinda new to Photo Shop, but learning fast. And I certainly appreciate the criticism.. Once the picture is on your phone as a wallpaper tho, doesn't look bad at all.
Keep the comments coming... Any requests and ANY constructive criticism is ALWAYS welcome

It is good work, and as a beginner to Photoshop its nice to see you know how to use it. I would suggest using higher DPI images as your source, even if they will be shrunk down later. Good work though.

I'm sure he's referring to what I said. The wallpaper looks clearly ripped from different photos, and I can point out at least 10 specific areas that need the work. It also might help if they had shadows, might make them look like they belong in that wallpaper, rather than a cut and paste job.

As the title suggests, post the best pictures you feel you've taken with the One X camera
I've attached a couple, purely as a test. Not the best pictures I've taken - I'm hoping you guys can provide the good stuff
Apologies to those with the xda app if they don't take you to image shack and show just the thumbnail.
EDIT: If possible guys, can we please have a max dimension size of 640x480 or there-abouts in the thread (or thumbnails linking to dropbox/flickr/photobucket). There are some pretty big full sized pictures in the thread and it isn't entirely user friendly for some. I recommend photobucket for easy re-sizing and generating forum [/img] links with ease

yup very good its quiet clear HTC favored scaled down quality over 1:1, they look amazing at this size
Not a good picture, but I am very impressed with the quality considering the murky conditions

loving the camera so far. images are great quality, and the interface seems like a cinch to learn and appreciate. not expecting high-end point and shoot quality (even though its close). The fact that images look great and its fast and easy to use, make for a top notch phone camera! Can't wait to get mine when released for ATT just sitting on my upgrade...

are you kidding me?? They're terrible. I have been having nothing but bad experiences with this camera as well. Especially under low light, the pictures are incredibly grainy and lack detail. Thanks for nothing HTC

Dude it's a phone, the pictures are fantastic for a phone camera and there's a lot of shots which are very good as shown in the pictures in this thread and other threads
If you want a good camera and want to be able to not have any drawbacks, I recommend a DLSR
Or use photo shop to fix any photos maybe

The first two pics and the last one look pretty decent. The others are way too noisy though. Looks like the ISO was a bit high, that or the Digital Zoom has been used. Personal opinion, but Digital Zoom is always a no-go for me

Agreed. Instead of zooming, id actually walk closer to the subject. Zoom on mobile devices are pretty useless.

Share your photos here in this thread! We all know the camera is the weak link of this phone. However it is capable of taking good images if you ignore the absence of sharpness or accept the heavy noise reduction. Behind all of that are images that generally are well exposed with good dynamic range and natural colors.

I do notice the noise which is a weakness of the sensor, but you have some real talent behind the lens! Some of these images are simply amazing!

Thank you very much! Yeah images get noisy but colors seems to be just fine so I can live with it. The subjects are what matter anyway not sharpness or something although it's a bonus. But it doesn't make a photo "better". It's pretty fun to shot with this camera it's very responsive.

It's really awesome!
Especially if you shoot in RAW and use Lightroom or Snapseed to retouch the photos it can really be impressive.
Pics taken with the hdr+ on and flash off.
Using google camera hdr+ for a whole month and it takes great pics

I am currently using Arnova 8.1 port and it works flawlessly.
Truth be told I have used its portrait mode on a baby and the results are magnificent.
Imho, the MIUI camera is rubbish compared to what gcam gets from the sensor.

I suppose it is a selfie stick. Had it been a gimbal, there would have been absolutely no shake.

You should read what I actually post and not get defensive. I was responding more to the the selfie stick question, not specifically to your question. I quoted two people, and my answer was for the thread, not just for you. Your comments was one I quoted only because it was relevant to what was attached to the phone, that there was an attachment in the first place -- for people who might not watch the entire video, they wouldn't know that. It was only apparent in the shadow, near the end of the video -- where I captured that screenshot.

The user said he didn't have a "stabilizer" or gimbal -- so I accept he didn't. Yet he did have some kind of attachment. My comment was for the people who thought he was artificially stabilizing the V30 video.

Yet now that the phone is actually released and units are showing defective screens, you don't go back to that thread... Your point wasn't proven as the defects are now proven.
Well I believe that it is recorded with gumbal stabilizer . I have one and this is what my videos look like . And I've been following people filming since v10 and even on selfie stick videos are not this smooth and steady .
