planning on using pixel buds or other wireless headphones? - Google Pixel 2 XL Accessories

Personally, I'm in love with the Bose sound sport wireless. I suppose I'll give pixel buds a try, but I'm tempted to sell them for a higher quality Bose product. What do you guys think?
Seen any reviews so far?

Seen a couple reviews from the initial hands on demos, and a guy that had a dummy set, just to get the feel of em. I'm digging the assistant more so than looking for them to compete with Bose on sound quality. Not a free pass, though. If I'm going to pay $160 they'd better sound decent. I just don't think "best sounding ever" is their focus.

absolutely. HAHA
But in my opinion the google buds are waaaay to expensive.
I mean, the only advantage of having them is maybe the translation or am I wrong?
I get better sound with cheaper earphones and i can also use google assistant by longpressing the most earphones.

This sounds Bah-Humbug I know but to me they look too big and ear ring like.
I'll demo some when they come available for said but I'll bet future versions will get smaller.

Does anyone know what codec these are using?

aac, bluetooth 4.2
see here.

i picked up the Sony MDR-1000x when it was on sale for $230 .. sounds pretty great despite it being a noise-cancellation headphones. Not to mention, one of the few BT headphones that supports LDAC codec.

These dont seem like they would seal in the ear.. does it have a silicone piece that goes in the ear or is it just hard plastic?... I always like samsungs earbuds over apples because of this

Ask Google.

I have a pair of AKG Y50bt headphones that I got from a Samsung promotion that I'll be using with mine.

why bluetooth 5.0 headphones is still not available in market? Now there are many smartphones having bluetooth 5.0 technology.

I have few wireless headsets in the house but I am waiting for the reviews to decide on pixel buds

Burn me at the stake but I’ve been debating getting some AirPods now that there’s an app to remap the double tap to Google Assistant.

I've ordered my Pixel buds. Waiting on them to ship. Sometime in Nov. Looking forward to the Google Assistant aspect of them. I got a pair of U Flex headphones to use with my Note8 and the Bixby button is handy for my preset quick commands I use with Bixby.

I have a pair of Skybuds that worked fine with my Pixel XL, so I'll use them with the 2 XL too.
I'm interested in the Pixel Buds, but I can't find any info on Bluetooth version or driver specifications, even on the official Google Store page. Weird.

Bluetooth 4.2, AAC codec.
Dunno about the drivers.

I have been so happy with the Plantronic Backbeat Fit that I have bought 3 pairs of them. My problem with the pixel buds is that they are just like all the other common earbuds now that have a 'rope' connecting them and then have apparently poor anchorage into the ear. Whereas the Backbeat Fit have a 'connector' that doesn't drag on your neck and have an over the ear anchor so that you can thrash to your hearts content and they will not come dislodged. I've found with the others you have to really mash them into your ear to get them to stick which I can't stand. Might buy Pixelbuds as a toy or to use when I'm not being active -- dependent on reviews.

I'm waiting for reviews on the Libratone [made for Google] on ear ones. Can't do in ear for long durations.

Vibrant headphones

Does any one have vibrant headphones for sale?
Sent from my HTC Desire
I might. Just got the Vibrant and have a set of headphones I like so never even taken them out of the box. Send me a PM and we can talk. No idea on price so make an offer.
I have a never used pair from mine too.
Also have a pair that I haven't used.
I suppose you got them now...Testing them against the ones that come from hd2..hd2 has more bass and the vibrant ones are louder...I only posted this cause I recently tested them lol

There are a few OEM ones for sale on eBay too if you do a search for Samsung i9000 headphones.
Just go into a T-mobile store and see if they have any extra ones. IMO the IEMs that come with the phone are average at best. I would invest in a nice pair, I picked up a pair of Thinksound Rains for super cheap on Amazon and they are sound awesome. They are suppose to be releasing a pair with a mic on it shortly.
Im still looking im willing to pay like $15 for the headphones,i really want them

I just tried using my old iPhone headset with the Vibrant. It works just fine. I can even start and pause the music player from the mic button.
Thought I would mention this since it may be that any iPhone compatible headset will also work with the Vibrant. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks.
damnn... i never paid attention to how good the stock headphone sounds... i was ready to sell this... i must say these are some quality headphones...

These are just headphones, no mic on it. It is the same style as the ones provided and I even think you can use the same interchangeable plugs that came with the phone. I bought some and they were great.
Does anyone know where I can purchase headphones that have the interchangeable earbud sizers but also have a mic and full music control with the skip buttons (like the HD2 headphones)?
I love these:

really? these sound better than any pre-packaged headphones i have ever used.
I find that the stock headphones are far superior to most others on the Vibrant. I have a pair of very expensive sound canceling Sony ear-buds that sound like trash on my Vibrant but are great an all my other devices. If you look at the stock headphones the connector has a third band. Supposedly it emulates 5.1 surround sound. I listen to allot of music with layered tracks (Tool, MarsVolta, SOAF...) and with the stock headphones I've been hearing stuff I've never heard before. One thing I found strange with the stock headphones is that at first I had to apply a good amount of pressure on them to get them connected properly.
UPDATE
I was just thinking that other band is probably for the mute control. Either way, of the several other headphones I tried the stock sounded the best to me.
UPDATE 2
LOL, just tried my old school KOSS and they sound every bit as good as the stock. To bad they're huge!!!
I got a pair of klipsch S2m and they are great buds. $25 on amazon vs the msrp of $60.

Well the original Jawbone was $120 or $130 when first released. Can't complain if it really works. The Jawbone was and still is the best bluetooth released to date IMO. Well worth every penny. I purchased 3 of them. Only downside was the design wasn't the best fitting but the sound was perfect.

agreed; that honor now goes to plantronics voyage pro plus...simply 5 ****
in every area, except style...
best sound, best comfort, best multipoint/a2dp, "stereo" sound through a single earpiece, longest battery life, and everything else.
I think after owning at least 25 bt headsets, I can say with confidence that this is the winner!
and, if you look carefully, you can grab it for 69 bucks or so!

I was talking about the first Jawbone. I didn't care for the Jawbone 2. I do own & like the Icon but the first model is still tops in my book. Still have 2 of those laying around, just got tired of ordering ear loops for them. They break too easily plus they get very uncomfortable. The design wasn't all that great but it gave me the best sound of any Bluetooth I've used to date.

The glasses, yes, caused too many issues plus, I guess I have odd ears because the rubber loop and bulk behind my ear caused too much pressure and annoyance. (and pulled my ear out like dumbo)
I have to have custom ear molds done for headsets and can only use my right ear.
Side note....
If you've never done a custom ear mold, you haven't really experienced perfection! Even with your pro plus. My audiologist does mine usually but I've ordered from http://www.averysound.com before too.
yeah, I have heard that the custom ear molds are the way to go..expensive, but great if you need them..
I have the bose, it's my 2nd favorite. 1st place goes to the new Motorola oasis. Still looking for the perfect BT. Both the bose and Oasis sound good to people on the other end. THe bose sounds better than the motorola oasis on my end. The Oasis is just so comfortable, the best feeling BT yet. I've tried 30+ different models and those 2 are the best. I'll try that plantronics pro next. A friend of mine who has used BT for years as well, says the Sound ID is his favorite. Anybody else tried them? I have the Bose Bluetooth. It works well with my Samsung Captivate (Android 2.2), but it will not play music via Music Player. Can't seem to get it to pair to the music player.
And I've discovered why, on the Bose site itself:Can I listen to music on my mobile phone with the Bose Bluetooth headset?
No. The Bose Bluetooth headset was designed as a communications device. It was not designed to receive stereo music from a phone or PC.

[Q] best headphones for galaxy nexus

Hello xda fellas!
Am looking for the best headphones for the galaxy nexus but first i want to ask is it worth it to buy such headphones on a mere smartphone? Is it gonna make any major difference between it and the stock headphones?
If yes then what do you suggest me to buy??? Ive heard about the sennheiser HD650, what do you think about it???
Oh one more thing, what is external DAC?? Does galaxy nexus support it??is it gonna make any difference in sound quality??
I'm thinking to buy SMS audio
It's worth getting a decent pair of sound isolating headphones. I currently use ultimate ears but also have a pair of Sennheiser's which are great (and cheaper!)

You can't get wrong with IE8. Been using one since last year & the quality is the best that I've ever come across.
skull candy ,,,,,,,,,the sound from them pure quality,
I can recommend this one.
Sennheiser HD25-1 II
They are very clear and exact. They give you out what you put in. So nothing for low quality files.
Sure from a design point of few they are not awesome but the sound is very good.
The good thing about them is that they have a very good isolation so if you're using the public transport a lot you will love them.
Another good point is that you can easily replace every single piece and they are very adjustable so it fits nice to your head.
I just got bob Marley ear buds from stapes for 40 bucks and they sound awesome I have skull candies but they always fall out of my ears

Unfortunately I have not experienced any RHA products myself but they definitely look really clean and would match the HTC10 well
For anyone who's looking for cheap buds, the LG Quadbeats 3 sound pretty good. They actually sound better than my Bose IE2s because of the great isolation on a high quality source. They came with my G4 and sounded so cheap. Perfect example of the 10 making cheap buds sound amazing.

A decent pair of earbuds, the Klipsch R6. Can't go wrong with, especially if you buy the Isolation Comply Tips. You'll get some great sound from them. That's the combo I use.
Got the RHA MA750 a few days ago. Very pleased. Phenomenal clarity and balance overall. A little less bassy and warm than I was expecting though. Although I've read they get better after a good break in period.
Thinking about trying the Shure se215s just to compare.
Still keeping the MA750s regardless though, between comfort and build quality they're well worth the price.
i have shure se215s, very nice, detachable cable, bit bass heavy but very durable.

Just received these myself and the sound quality is phenominal once you get the set dialed in with the right tips.
However, I think the button functions dont work properly, or mine are broken. Do your button controls work properly?

Middle button is stop/start, 2 presses nothing. three presses next track
Bottom button does nothing.
Im gonna contact 1more but am curious if yours work ok.

A short update on the 1more Triple drivers. Support said that the inline button issues were fixed for android on their titanium color set. Apparently the black/gold have not been fixed yet (old stock?).
They offered to switch them out for me. Sucks cause I dont really want that color, but for $100 I want them to work properly. And they sound incredible so I'll deal.
For now, if anyone plans to buy them, get titanium color if you want the inline controls to work properly. I asked them on eta for corrections to black stock. Will update if I lean more.
I came from using sure's, xiaomi piston 2 and dual drivers, and sennheiser momentum in ears. These 1more triples shatter those in comparison of sound quality. I mean its not even a contest. Ive heard $1,500 cans that sound worse.

Yea. 1more currently makes all of the xiaomi piston range and dual drivers. I have them all. Its what convinced me to try the triple drivers. In comparison to the dual drivers the triples are really 10x better sound quality. Not knocking any of the xiaomi range. At their price points they are all the best there is in the low end $ range, ......by far. I personally think the Piston 2's are fantastic, although base heavy.
As an aside, I also have thr JBL reflect and the HiRes HTC's. Guys, they are not even close to being anything near the right quality to take advantage of the DAC and amp on the 10. Rhey sound horrible. I'd rather use my non aptx photive bth3's than those.

Hi guys,
Now I've made the move to the pixel, I kinda gotta get some wireless earphones....
I'll be using them mainly for the gym so fit had to be good. In ear headphones tend to 'pop' out my ears but I've never tried the ones with supports (hooks).
Currently using apple headphones which have always fit me well
Any recommendations from you guys??

Anker slimbuds on amazon with aptx.
I totally recommend Bluedio TE. It is total bang for the buck at a price of 10$ (varies between 10$-15$). Even one of the most popular tech reviewer UnboxTherapy did a review of this tiny beast.
