Does Moto G5S has compass sensor ? - Moto G5S Questions & Answers

Does Moto G5S has compass sensor ? I've messaged several sellers. They said that XT1794 got compass. Can someone confirm it ?

On mine, it's a XT 1793, no compass sensor. For the 1794, I don't know.

No. I mean XT1794. Can there be two hardware versions ?

No, only a unique hardware version (and a unique hardware version by model in general I think).

I just found out that Optimus G has barometer. It was good news to me. The strange thing was there is absolutely no information on the web aboout this sensor on the phone. At first I didn't know if it was true, but I tested it and it is working fine.

the barometer is intended for measuring the atmospheric pressure
and off course i think you can measure the height of a building with it... but that involves breaking the phone
and .. for your answer .. no .. not really .. we have a lot of meteorologic sites .

1 extra mm = 12 meters, right?
So according to weather site, current AP is 1001mbars.
So it should show 1015mbars, but phone says its 991mbars
Hmm.. basicaly yes (after some google research , of course ) but i don't know why it shows 991, maybe is not that accurate...

Can someone confirm if or not there is a pressure sensor and if the CiR has learning?

Can someone please confirm if or not the CiR (infrared) is both rx and tx or not on the M9 ?
And if or not their is a barometer (pressure sensor) on the M9?
All i can derive from sensor "hub" is pretty much nothing.

I don't know about the barometer, but the IR blaster is present with the M9 and HTC TV is working.

Haven't tested the learning capabilities, so, unfortunately, can't say.
i spoke to someone at htc from the verizn store and they said they removed it because they was afraid it would blow up in the phone

Face Unlock for Nokia 8.1

Hey guys, I've recently bought a nokia 8.1 and i was looking for the face unlock capability, that was anouced the phone would have in a new update, but the only thing I've found is the google smart lock face unlock, that is fooled by photos so prety inssecure, does anyone know if it will receive any updates that enables a face unlock feature like the nokia x7? that is secure.
Dedicated Face Unlock is not part of any of the Nokia smartphones (except for Chinese variants). And I do not see it changing anytime soon. Maybe not until they launch a phone which has a dedicated sensor to do face detection. Probably Nokia 9 will be the one.

I think X7 doesn't have this dedicated sensor, right?
It is still the kind of face unlock vulnerable to photos.

On the x7 it's just software, and going by the tests on youtube and some friend's phones it isn't vulnerable to photos. i don't know why the global variant is so vulnerable.

This is the google made face unlock that is vulnerable to photos. the chinese version (X7) has a more secure face unlock feature that is separated from that.

It does. But it is not as usable as the CN version. In CN you can set it in various ways such as unlock without turning on the screen or not needing to swipe after face recognized.

Gyroscope non existent

Quick question, is there a gyro in the device, cuz most users say that it isn't included but yet many review pages and the xiaomi forum itself assures that there is a gyroscope module in the phone.
