Using the magic touchpad (Apple) with Nexus 7 - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Hi there.
I have Nexus 7 2013 (LTE Version) but the touch screen broke (LCD is fine).
I didn't use it for quite sometime and switched to kindle fire hdx because I have no place near me offer screen replacement so I want to use magic touchpad
I recently used OTG and connected my mouse to my nexus and installed LineageOS 14.1 (Nougat), the problem is, the Magic touchpad doesn't work anymore, it connects and it is detected but I can only press in the middle of the screen. The OS I had before LineageOS was some rom running android 5 and the touchpad was working fine.
How can I fix this?

[Q] MOGA Pocket compatability

Hello fellow Andoid users,
My device is a Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus. On my previous phone ( ZTE Blade) I could use my WiiMote perfectly fine. But in my new phone, I have the problem of android using the BROADCOMM bluetooth stack because I run JellyBean 4.2.2. So I was wondering, I'm planning to buy he MOGA Pocket, will it be able to connect to my Trend running Android 4.2.2 JellyBean Unmodified? Also, I'm not planning to root it in a meanwhile of a least 2 years, or until the warranty wears of.
So, in compact format, can I connect the MOGA Pocket with the MOGA pivot or even BluezIME on my 4.2.2 Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus?
Sorry for any mistakes, my laptops keyboard has weared off due to age

Root causing problems with screen mirroring?

I tried to mirror to an unrooted Note 3 and couldn't. The only thing that worked was an old Xbox 360. New LG and Samsung tvs (2013) wouldn't work either.
Normally I would assume I was doing something wrong at the TV side but the fact that it couldn't screen mirror with a note 3...

Poor screen cast on 5t.

Screen cast capabilities of oneplus 5t is poor from nougat to oreo official on my samsung smart TV. Is there any fix or is it fixed in open beta 8.1 builds? Please help. I am locked bootloader complete stock on 5.0.4 official.
I have same issue ob5 , i can't connect my phone with tv ( LG smart ) . my old phone samsung note5 connect worthily
The only poor thing is cast. I hope it gets fixed.
i updated to OB6 it work good until now
I must say that I think this is a OOS issue.
My Nexus 4, Nexus 5X and even Moto G5 Plus had amazing screen casting. Even to the point I could hours and hours of Amazon Prime Video on my TV from my phone.
I thing this won't change and there is not a workaround. Would be interesting if other Roms work better.
My sony tv works perfectly with my OP5T, have no idea what you have experienced.

It project screen on my desktop computer perfectly but not on my samsung tv. But my lenovo p2 and samsung s7edge work flawless. I dont know i guess oos does not handle samsung tv firmware.
And surprisingly cast on 5.1 oos is almost stable. Not perfect. But pretty much works for me.

Nexus 7 use in 2020 ?

I'm looking for a inexpensive tablet to replace my son's Amazon Fire 7 (the latest version)
We hated the Amazon restrictions. To the best of my knowledge it is not currently easily flashable .
I've had the idea of getting a second hand Nexus 7 with a custom ROM on it.
Is the hardware better than the Fire 7 ? It seems to be on paper, would the tablet be usable or really slow ?
He does game on the fire (Minecraft and Roblox) also video streaming..
Any advice gratefully received
Huawei M5 8 lite isn't too bad, though the standard version is better. Note: I have both.
I did put lineage 15 on my Nexus 7 2013 and it did seem to speed it up plus the touch screen issues didn't seem to happen.
