wifi password not saved after reboot - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As the title says, whenever I reboot my phone I have to re-enter my wifi password. Is this an issue with the phone or is it software?
I'm on Marshmallow.
Thanks

Ok, this problem should be a software bug, why you don't update to nougat?

Try deleting all of the saved wifi networks and only keep the ones you use. There used to be a bug in android itself. Too many wifi networks and it "forgets" newer ones.
Otherwise it'll be a factory reset.

AT&T Developer Edition data stalling

Hello:
AT&T one m8 fully converted to dev
4.4.3 software
2.22.1540 firmware
Root only
I got about 4 times yesterday where data would stop working however still shoes a signal with data icon. It would not pick back up on its own without cycling airplane mode. Anyone have any suggestions?
Did you just recently do the conversion, or any other mods (firmware, etc.)?
If not, it could just be a temporary network issue.

I did just convert to the dev edition a few days ago. It stalled on me a few times last night and then this morning it dropped (still showed lte 3 bars) and the sync icon came on because it dropped overnight and Google couldn't reconnect.
No mods, just convert, and root. I did flash twrp, backup Rom and then flash back the stock recovery though. Not sure that would have anything to do with it.

The only other thing is I do have "disable data after long periods of inactivitiy" enabled in power settings. however I would assume that this isnt causing the issue as it wont automatically re-connect. I remember a long time ago mike1986 introduced the att settings in aroma for AHRD due to some connectivity issues, im assuming this is still that same problem? Im surprised people arent talking about it.

2.22.4 firmware doesn't play well in the US: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54408500&postcount=9592

Can I flash the 2.22.15*** over .4 and stay on ARHD at this point, or do I just flash the original nand in development section and just let it ota by itself. I never got the 4.4.3 ota, I did manual flash the zip. Perhaps that's my issue? Pushing that .4 firmware on my US dev edition?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2826789
That's what I downloaded for 4.4.3 though, should be the correct firmware.

If you updated by manually flashing the OTA, it should have the right firmware (2.22.1540).
But why does your first post say firmware 2.22.4?

Just my mistake. I'm on 2.22.1540 as I manually flashed that ota zip. Fixed.

Ya, kind of disappointing considering I'm fairly content with this phone. However I don't feel I need to be cycling data in order to keep getting notifications throughout the day.

Worth a try. And/or turning off the "sleep mode" (data turns off after long periods of inactivity) you mentioned earlier, also. Neither should cause the issue you describe, but perhaps something is just not playing well.

[Q] Can not unlock the Nexus 7 in Android Device Manager

Hello everyone,
I encountered a problem with the Android Device Manager. I want to test the ADM. I tried several passwords. But now I locked it, do not know which one is the true one. Actually I remember them, but no one is correct. I tried to update the password, it gave back a message like
Code:
Your new password was not strong enough. Your device has the following password requirements:
NaN - 16 characters long
even I have tried a password like dt8UZLhFknapYK7L.
Anyone can help me? Thank you.

Wouldn't it just be your google/gmail password? Try it from a computer. https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager Well, just noticed you do need to create a new device password. Bummer! If you can't get it to work factory reset.
Reboot your device and try again.

That sucks! I think you probably just misremember your password. I know that my daughter's mother uses it often enough to lock my daughters phone and it must be working fine because I'm sure she would call me and be a pain in the a$$ if she had any problems!

my wifi doesnt work and when i try to use it freezes my phone

most of the times my phone freezes at boot animation and I have to factory reset everytime to go through, but again when setting up the phone when asked for network connections "use wifi to setup, use mobile data to setup" something like this, it freezes there too, so I wait 15 minutes at that screen and then proceed and strangely it doesnt freeze. I think it the issue with wifi part because it freezes there and also bluetooth and hotspots are not working, it freezes there too. Please help.

Clean flashed 11/05 build but Wifi won't stay on. Tap the switch, it toggles to on then jumps back to off right away (and stays off). Restarting multiple times does not allow wifi to stay ON. Starting in Safe Mode, wifi also has the same problem. Maybe a kernel issues?
Anyway, Logcat zipped is here. Maybe someone can figure it out?
Is this worth it? Has the dev at least got the device?

I nuked my whole device, format data -reboot- etc.., etc., then clean flashed it. It seems to encrypt if you click on Encrypt Phone in the settings > security.

For clean flash there is no need to format data. But yeah, if you formatted data you are decrypted. Thanks for the replay. OP should mention this, so people will not end up in bootloop.
Edit: Installed on decrypted. Wifi is working after reboot.

How did you update?
Did you get the update normally? I used a VPN to get it since it was not yet being offered directly. And now I have this bug as well. So I wanted to see if it's happening to everyone or just people who updated with a VPN.

It's not about how you updated, it's because of the used build which is the same like the first released beta build.

That's kind of the point of my question. Did me using vpn somewhy cause me to get the beta build for some strange reason or a mistake on their end? or is this build being OTA'd normally to other people as a stable update in some regions?
