Have a look here : Listening to headphones while charging

Works with Pixel 2XL
Just bought this adapter yesterday and have to say it's fantastic as it keeps the fast charging intact and plays music without dropping the quality (which I love ) . Also comes with an insane 30Years Garantie and Additionally adds 3years to the warranty coverage if you register the Product.

What is "this adapter"? Which of the ones that have been mentioned?

Have you even read the thread? How many adapters mentioned in the thread are compatible with Pixel 2 XL?

Yes I have read the entire thread and it is EXTREMELY confusing. So far it seems only the Moshi thing and it has been "coming soon" to the Google store for months and months. I suppose that is the one you're referring to? If so why not just reply "The Moshi"? Instead of your further obfuscation.

Because it was obvious. I am here to help people, not spoon-feed them. Anyone who read the post would get it instantly, also Google store is not the only place where you would get the adapter. If you are serious about buying it,let me know and I would direct you to the website where you can buy it(obviously depending on the location where you are).:cyclops:

I must apologize to you. I had been jumping around in several other threads about this and following links where many possible items were suggested but none worked. When I saw your post I was eager to find out what was working and confused this thread with the others.
That said, how is the quality of the DAC in the Moshi compared to the one in the dongle supplied with the phone? The supplied dongle sounds very "Tinny" compared to the Nexus 6 jack with the same headphones and music. At the moment, I think I will not pursue the elusive /expensive Moshi if the DAC isn't noticeably better.

Found a solution
This is really hokey, but it works and even charges rapidly.
Get a VGA or HDMI USB-C adaptor, like Amazon item number B0773H6KSZ, that has a charging USB-C port, VGA (not usable on the Pixel, just ignore it) and a USB-A port. Also get a USB-A to USB-C adaptor plug, like Amazon item number B07B47V967 (sorry I'm not allowed to post links yet).
Plug your charger into the charging port, and here's the clever bit, plug your USB-C to headphone jack connector into the USB-A to USB-C adaptor, and plug that into the USB-A port on the VGA adaptor, which you plug into the phone.
Listening to music on my headphones and charging rapidly as I write this.

MicroUSB to HDMI >>anyone?

hey, have anyone tried the microusb to hdmi in vibrant? some pages says that it works and others that it doesn't. So..?
The tv out cable for the Motorola ZN5 works like a champ, plugs into the headset jack and has rca cables and a video out. I just used the phone with that at my girl's house to watch a dvd I had on there. Looked great.
EDIT: Looked for you on Ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-OEM-Motorol...853474?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20b42dcb22
yes, i know that but this is the cable wich i'm talking about http://androidspin.com/2010/07/28/samsungs-latest-accessory-will-allow-hdmi-out-on-galaxy-s/
It's been fairly well know since August that that cable was mistakenly labeled as compatible with the Galaxy S series by accident. Samsung came forward and said that additional software (not currently present on the devices) would be needed. It didn't elaborate on what software it was or if it would ever be released. Many online shops (those in the know anyway), have posted warnings or simply stopped selling them because they don't work. The cable was supposed to work with Samsung Mondi alone AFAIK.
I have a generic microusb to hdmi coming in the mail (should be in soon, I hope). As soon as I get it I will try it out and see. I will post results
says this on the page: *Note* The HDMI to MicroUSB cable will be compatible with the U.S. variants such as T-Mobile’s Samsung Vibrant and AT&T’s Samsung Captivate.

My lovely car mount and this HDMI to MicroUSB is coming from the lovely lank of China. Going slowest mail known to man. I should get it sometime before my next cell phone upgrade! Heh. No, but really...I will post results as soon as I can!

That might be because it was either removed / deleted because it was likely misinformation.
I have the samsung hdmi cable and can confirm it does not work! the only thing that works is the charger port.I was wishing it would work with the desktop dock, but sadly no. I still hope samsumg will release the software for this to work, otherwise thats 50 bucks down the drain..
I did get my cable....and it was sadly mislabeled when it was sold. It is actually the micro HDMI to HDMI. So...good thing it wasnt expensive. A little sad though.

Car charger?

Picking up my phone on Monday, and was planning on getting the car charger. But before I spent the extra $30 I figured I would ask you guys. Is it just a standard mini USB? (not sure if mini or micro is the right term).
For instance I found one on Amazon (I can't post the link because I've only been a lurker here until this point). It's called "Premium Car Charger For HTC ThunderBolt"
Product Features
Brand New IC Chip Controlled Plug in Car Charger
State of the art Intelligent Chip circuit prevents overcharging
Conveniently charge your HTC ThunderBolt battery while your drive
Non interrupted charging, even while the HTC ThunderBolt is in use
Essential accessory in case of car accident or another emergency
Thanks in advance, I'd just rather not give Verizon any more $$ then I have to
micro usb is what you want (different from mini), and the home charger outputs 5V and 1A (same as
1000 mA) so you want a car charger that will output the same voltage and close to the same amperage. i used a 750mA car charger for my evo and it was a noticeably slower charge.

+1 on the Moto rapid charger. Got one for my DINC and now using it for my TBOLT and that thing is amazing. And cheap!

Again, I can't post links, but I believe this is the one you're talking about. It's listed on Amazon as "Motorola Vehicle Power Adapter mini-USB Rapid Rate Charger" for $9.09?

anyone try one of these with the stock cable? Or with a $1-$2 replacement cable. Or this Micro car charger they sell
I know monoprice has great quality on their items and the output says 5v and max 1A
According to this, they work just fine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1001962
So the charger + a 6'+ cable will let you go anywhere in your car and more for a little over $3, prolly 5-6 after shipping.
Thanks for the tip on the charger. I had noticed that my current car charger seemed to be pretty slow. Ordering the Motorola charger now...

Another +1 for the Motorola charger. Its high quality. I have noticed the plug gets a little loose after a lot of use and wont provide a good connection. I just squeeze the Jack a little with some pliers and that tightens up the fit again.
I use one brought.from att and.its speed for charging is pretty.good.

Recommended USB C cables?

This device is officially my debut into the world of USB C; I've never had a single device that uses it. I'm excited, but also cautious as I've read it can be dangerous if you buy a less-than-reputable brand for cables.
What brands would you recommend? Ideally, available on Amazon since that is where I buy pretty much everything from
*Side question - My previous device is an S7 Edge, and as such I have multiple QC 2.0 compliant chargers around the house and in my car (including wireless). I want to clarify whether I can continue to use those and expect fast charging or not*
I am using an Anker 2.0 car charger with mine with no issue. I did have to get a USB-A to USB-C adapter to be able to plug my car dock in (it's got a fixed USB-C cable).
I bought the Anker Powerline+ cable and a 3 pack of the regular Anker Powerline cables just to toss around, they're good.
Im using usb cables from a store called five below, got 5 black meshed ones right when the s8 came out. Now they are sold out. They are 6 feet 2 and working good

Go for Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable. It has 3ft including plugs and made up of aramid fiber reinforcement which makes it stronger and more durable.

This is what I've been using on my S8+
USB C, Veckle Type C to USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 Gen 1) 6.6 Ft Braided USB C Cable
My S8+ arrived today, and I've ordered the following Aukey 5-pack from Amazon (UK). They will arrive tomorrow.
I've had pretty good luck with Anker and Aukey products, alike. Sounds like there's no hiccup with their USB C lineup. Has anyone used both, or prefer one over the other? Why?

I've used both in the past, and have no preference and for me it comes down to price/offers and convenience (in stock/out of stock). Both make quality products in my experience, and you can't go wrong with either. I usually look first for Anker or Aukey products when I need things like cables, power packs/external batteries, car or wall chargers.

Short USB-A to USB-C Cable

Has anyone found any short USB-A to USB-C cables? I can't seem to find anything shorter than 3.3 feet / 1 meter. I'd like to have a 12 or 18 inch cable to use in my truck to connect to Android Auto...
I have an extra 14 inch one from my replacement N5X. If you pay for postage it's yours.
Search for a coiled cabled. I got one for my truck too.

Bargain USB-C cables

Package of 3 for $8(after $5 instant coupon), not bad. Quality wise, OK. Must take an advantage of high speed N10 UFS3.0, just tested them and everything checks out fine.
No good for new charger though (usb-c to c). Still handy to have around for other chargers too. I need some bargain 3amp usb-c to c cables

Some of the aftermaket 45W bricks should be safe enough to use with these cables but I won't be using 45W charging on my Note 10+ anyways, I'm concerned about effects it may have on the battery in the long run. 25W charger would be plenty enough for me. The cables though, I need them for transferring large files, 4k videos and such, to my desktop storage. I don't like the convenience of 'cloud' storage. Whose convenience?

I see what you mean, didn't realize that all the high power bricks use "C" as connection standard. Here is some adapter which probably could serve as a spare, something to keep in a drawer just in case:
You have to be carefull buying usb adapters for the new notes as i had problems with a usb c to aux , they dont work , i have tryed 5 different models and each just give the message unsupported , so no sound through standard or expensive headphones , seems like samsungs own adapter is the only one that works , which is a pain seeing as i cant get one in shops or on samsungs nl shop.Just because its usb c does not mean any adaoters will work on newer samsung phones missing the headphone jack , bit tight fisted the adapter was not in the box on the first note without the headphone jack as apple did give the adapter for the first 2 years phones , now they dont and for over 1000 for a phone its bad no flagship comes with this cheap adapter.
