Hello. I tried to read NFC cards using different apps like:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wakdev.wdnfc
and they are not working. I dont know if its a problem of my device, or NFC is broken in latest update.
Can anyone try and tell me if NFC is working on your device?
I still don't have my phone, but I know NFC is turned off by default. You need to turn it on in wireless settings.

Its turned on. Android Beam is also turned on :/
Just tried it myself and yes, nothing is happening using my VISA card. Weird!

The NFC antena is in the back camera lens. Try to read a card or something but put it on the camera, and see if its working

Yep just gave it a try all is good.
Hopefully someone can figure out how to make it work on rooted device with custom flashed rom.
App reads flash count before starting , if flash value reads 1 Allshare becomes Noshare

Yep.
Try it again but this time select help tab on allshare screen follow directions to the T.
Oh and also make sure wifi on device is disabled before getting started.

Turned the wifi off and it actually worked! Thanks sling!
No problem.
With Sprints version there was no need to turn off wifi first so I'm thinking its a bug that Samsung needs to address on are build.
When connected and you try youtube - anything data related a pop up will display letting you know wifi will be enabled allshare needs to restart.
Let it do its thing connection will re-establish .
Wow, this thing really does not work well. Wifi turns on by itself randomly and when it's on, i can't reconnect.

Ha I figured it out.
Simply Start Allshare app using pulldown Toggle.
Doing it that way will allow for app start when wifis already enabled no more crash will be had
Hmm it works intermittently for me. Hopefully the next software update will change that
Hmm I was never able to get it to work. Not with my note2 or s3. I'm starting to think maybe I have a bad dongle.
One question when you press the reset button on the dongle and the indicator light turns blue does it stay blue or does it turn back to red pretty quickly?

I have recently tried to figure out the Smart Lock Feature of the brand new LG G4 smartphone.
However I was not yet able to find any working solution to this problem.

Mine is not prayed out. Did you root your phone? Currently Mine is full stock
Works fine for me on T-Mobile version.

Restart the phone worked fore me.

I did not root the phone.
Restart did not help. Clearing data in my places and my places engine neither.
Any other ideas?

Mine started grayed out so i set everything to high accuracy and left it for a day...now i can turn it on and set it up...very strange

Same issue here. Mine is also grayed out. I've tried many ways to solve it but in vain. I am going to try jerflash's manner. It is indeed very strange!
I really wish this worked via Wifi networks. Mark X wifi network as home, and Y wifi network as work. I dont run GPS unless I need to. But it would be nice to have things toggle based off wifi or even just a general location. My work and home are 50mi apart, phone should be able to tell where I am haha

I've solved this problem!!!
Someone told me that "my place" can be only set on while using mobile network. If you use Wifi, "my place" can not be set on. This works with me! So happy I finally can turn on "my place" and use the smart setting. Hope this also works with you. Good luck! :good:

For anyone who comes here from a search: LG phones with Smart Settings only seem to work if mobile data are enabled. So if you have limited data allowance and keep mobile data normally disabled, you're out of luck.
My moto X worked with the vending machine at work but my G4 does not. Ive only tried it on that specific machine.
Mine works fine at Walgreen's. Haven't tried it anywhere else. Did you enable 'tap to pay’ within the app?
I've used my T-Mobile G4 at Walgreen's, Wegman's, Petco, and Toys R' Us. No issues.
Try clearing Google wallet data, and turning tap to pay back on. Worked for me

Lol. I do that all the time when i get a new phone or install a new rom. I will swear it worked the other day, then remember it needs to be turned on
This is really weird an issue;
For a little back story, I had a Nexus 5 before HTC 10. I use an app called Commbank app, it's a Australian banking app which also has a pay-via-nfc option whenever I go shopping and what not. Ever since I installed it on my Nexus 5 (and enabled the nfc option), the phone's NFC stopped working, but at that point I didn't realize it could have been the app. I installed the app on my HTC 10 too and now the NFC on my HTC is dead. It won't register any triggers at all. To confirm its stopped working, I've tried using NFC on my Nexus 7 tablet to my NFC enabled digital camera and it works just fine. But my HTC 10 doesn't. Anyone think the app could have done it? I can't help but think that'd be it. The NFC was working fine before that on my HTC 10. Any other methodology to troubleshoot it?

That didn't work. I even did an absolute clean install of a rom. No luck so far. Looks like its permanently damaged somehow. Wow didn't think an app could do that much of damage.
I'd try an RUU back to full stock.

MY NFC is also not working on HTC 10. It sort of reads but it can't complete any actions. I'm using ledger wallet app, fidesmo app, and the ledger unplugged device (which is a fidesmo card). Tested card on my friend's nexus 5x and the card works fine.

you guys get any results in the end? Is yours the Tesltra branded HTC? I can only get NFC to work paired up with another device with NFC.... can't get it to work with any NFC tags or cards.... also the phone was carrier modded and S-Off and unlocked which I found very odd....
Has anyone else noticed that their device does not automatically turn on wifi on their home network anymore. With WiFi off, it used to automatically turn on shortly after entering my home. All settings are checked under wifi settings.

I think we're the only people in the world w/ this problem. Can't find squat after searching everywhere except this thread.
Somewhere along the way it started working again for me. Not sure how or why but you might try using the smart lock and reset your home location or add a few other locations around your home that would unlock it.

After a few months, mine started automatically connecting to WiFi again today.
I updated Waze beta and Android Auto, so that may have been the problem for me, because I think it started after installing one or both of those in previous versions. I highly suspect one of those two since I have them set to only use data when either is started.
