LG V30+ up for preorder via B&H ($929.99) - LG V30 Guides, News, & Discussion

I check the offiical LG V30 "Buy Now" page for updates on either Amazon listings or unlocked V30+ listings.
No luck yet with Amazon, but I do see that B&H has a listing for the V30+.
$929.99 with a "coming soon" note. No release date provided.

Apologies if this was posted elsewhere. I did a quick scan of the board.

It was but it was a bit buried in a thread, I can't find it again to credit that user. Thanks for putting this up more prominently though, it's helpful.

Mentioned and briefly discussed here, but not a standalone thread,
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=74756966
So, thank you. I plan to other this as my 2nd LG device purchase for the $400 gift card.

Ahh, I'm sorry. Seemed thread-worthy. I scanned for a thread, but didn't search for in-thread mentions of the listing.
Still holding out for an unlocked V30+ preorder on Amazon.
But if we start getting close to whatever B&H's ship date winds up being without an Amazon listing going up, I may cave.
My poor 2015 Moto X is not long for this world, I'm afraid.

B&H Photo $820 price on the 64 GB LG V30 variant was cheaper for me than "$800" Best Buy LG V30 -- (really about $848 here in GA), once you factor in no local taxes and free shipping. That's even before any price matching.
Amazon also charges local tax.
So, probably going to buy from B&H Photo again, for the V30+. Plus they price match.
I still need to call them or email, to get the $20 knocked off.

I'm actually in the NY/NJ area, so B&H will ding me on taxes no matter what.
BB has the open market version? It's not US Cellular's?

No, it's not. It's the "open market" version which will get bootloader unlock.
LG did the same thing for the LG G6 US997:
U.S.Cellular sold the "carrier" version and B&H Photo, Best Buy, Amazon and other authorized retailers sold "open market" version of the US997, which got bootloader unlock.
Now this is the open market version of the V30+ -- which is available for pre-order. Whereas, U.S. Cellular has been selling their version since October 6.

Right. I want the open market V30+, preferably through Amazon or BB.
For some reason, I thought the BB V30 (not plus) was the US Cellular version.
Good to know it wasn't. Thanks!

Me too, and the sales tax thing is a moot point in Oregon luckily. Hopefully Amazon gets it soon, though the 110 dollars markup just for extra space seems slightly exorbitant. Amazon pricing could be a little lower but who knows. Will have to squeeze some more life out of this Nexus 5!

B&H Photo will price match. And they actually lowered the V30 initial price by $20 between preorder and actual ship date.
I wouldn't be surprised if V30+ ship price turns out to be $899 or something...
And if Amazon or Best Buy has lower price, they'll match that.

Just pre-ordered the "open market" LG V30+ from B&H Photo.
Also replied to the first order's email for the V30 and asked them for retroactive price match $20 refund, since Best Buy is selling it for $799 (plus tax).

That would be brilliant, hope that is the final price.

Getting closer... Finally the B&H Photo web page for V30+ is updated with specs. As expected includes "QuadPlay Headphones". Still no shipping date...

I guess the surprising price difference is mitigated somewhat by the inclusion of the updated headphones.
I wish there was a ship date. Day by day, my 2015 Moto X Play is degrading more and more. I may just have to buy the regular V30.

I haven't seen anyone review the Quadplay non-B&O earbuds. I should take a look around. I do think the price will come down. I think the Sprint V30+ was working out to $750 from Best Buy if you made the payments at one point during November. Sigh, I miss the Nexus days of getting great specs at a great price. I'm like ChazzMatt where without wireless charging I'm not buying, so the OnePlus and Pixel announcements were quite disappointing. I will say that updating my Nexus 5 to Paranoid Android's Nougat ROM has given it a new lease on life. It's still slow but I think I can afford to wait a little longer (even if I don't want to!).

Does the LG V30+ not have wireless charging? I thought it did?

Anyone want to take any bets on V30+ release date and when the US998 will be placed on the LG Developer Bootloader Unlock list?
1) European H931 released first week of November.
Placed on the LG Developer Bootloader Unlock list three weeks later.
2) North America "open market" 64GB US998 V30 released first week of December.
Not yet on the LG Developer Bootloader Unlock list, but it's not been three weeks yet...
3) North America "open market" 128GB US998 V30+ will be released when? First week in January? LG seems to want to S-T-R-E-T-C-H this whole process out.
When will both North America "open market" variants be placed on the LG Developer Bootloader Unlock list? By Christmas week or 3 weeks AFTER the V30+ is released? (Remember, took SIX WEEKS for LG to add the G6 US997 to the bootloader unlock list...)
Any predictions?

Sorry if I was unclear, but I was complaining that the OnePlus 5T and both Pixel 2s did not have wireless charging, which the V30 and V30+ do have. I don't often thank Apple for anything, but the inclusion of wireless charging in the new iPhones will make it ubiquitous. Google should never have abandoned it on the Nexus devices.

I'm betting you're right! But yes, this has been one long, drawn out process. People are still so used to buying their phones from carriers in the US so unfortunately us open market purchasers will always get the shaft for the foreseeable future. Although most people don't need nor care for open market unlocked phones that don't come with payment plans, so why not put it up for sale? It's obviously being manufactured and available. LG is simply throwing money away because a lot of people (people that don't care about wireless charging for example) have moved on to the Pixel, OnePlus 5T, etc. Who knows, maybe they are making enough from carrier sales, they don't care. Just frustrating to wait.

I know they lost money on me. I wanted TWO LG V30+ (for wife and myself), but was forced to buy at least one V30 before the December 2 deadline for the $400 gift card. I'll still buy a V30+ for the "second" purchase -- but yeah frustrating I couldn't buy two V30+ and get $400 off. But not released yet!
And yeah, I hate people are "settling" for inferior phones just because LG doesn't know how to release a new phone properly! They ANNOUNCED both LG V30 and V30+ end of August. It should have been EVERYWHERE by end of October. We're almost 4 months after the global announcement and they still have not released all the phones to major countries.

Short version, love it. Using very slim Tudia case. I set it up last Sunday, been using it all this week. Very fast, very smooth.
Battery life is very good.
I keep my display at 70%. Lower than that, and the colors don't seem to pop. I tried it lower, like 60% and I could use it, but I like the overall look at 70%.
Small thing, but the fingerprint sensor is amazing. I barely touch it and it unlocks. Sometimes I accidentally unlock it and lock it back in a split second because it's so sensitive.
There's one email app I use that's annoying because it stays immersed when in the email list and doesn't show the navigation icons at the bottom. I have to force them up. But that's the app, not the phone.
Can't wait for bootloader unlock and root.

Which version for T-Mobile (US)

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the various versions of the Zenfone 2 on T-Mobile in the US. From what I can tell the Taiwan version will work with the two main LTE bands as well as 3G for T-Mobile. Any experiences out there?
I had a TW, but returned it because of Bluetooth issues. It worked fine on LTE for T-Mobile in MO.
I now have a WW version and it works fine on T-mobile as well.
Where can I get the ww version?
Why not wait for the us version?
The US Version sounds like it might be tied to AT&T only, much like the Asus Padfone. If it is available unlocked, like the temporarily leaked Amazon page suggests, it will not be available till about June. Because Asus has not released any official details about the US release yet, it is hard to say for certain if they have an exclusivity contract with AT&T.
I bought my WW from http://eglobalcentral.com I paid for the expedited shipping and received it in two days.

My girlfriend will be in Taiwan this week, so she can pick me up at the local price of ~$300 for the Z580 4GB ram 32GB rom version. I think the US version will be more costly (especially with 10% sales tax in CA). In addition I saw one source saying they won't roll out the high-end Zenfone 2 to the US and it might be AT&T only. Finally, typically US carriers don't allow dual-sim phones.

Alose, did you buy the 64GB version for $347? (I can't link to it, but it's a quick search) It looks almost too good to be true. This version is supposed to be ~$330 in Taiwan, which means between shipping and their profit margins they only have $17 to play with. There are so many versions, I'm a bit weary of getting one that is "almost" what they said it would be...
Well im one of the winners of the contest on androidcentral.com and the version i won was a 64gb 4gb ram us version so there's a great chance that the us will carry the 4gb version in some form but no matter what region you it seems like a great phone

On or before the 18th (the contest said that we would get them before release to review however their has been delays) but I'm 99% sure that the 64gb version will make it to the states or even the 128gb version but that might be much later if at all

Does the one on sale on aliexpress.com tomorrow work with T-mobile?
I'm using the ze551ml TW version on T-Mobile in the US and getting full LTE speeds. Just remember that when the phone says 4G, that's what us American's consider LTE. Technically, USA 4G is HSPDA+, not full 4G.
So the phone just says H+ when you are using T-Mobile "4G" and it will say 4G when you are using T-Mobile "LTE"
I'm not sure why everyone is saying it will be ATT only, it's an unlocked phone......... The US version will have all bands for all carriers, as per the ASUS website. If it were going to be ATT only, they wouldn't include the bands for the other carriers. Plus they'd lose a ton of business, and this phone is going to be the one to put ASUS on the radar for the general public for phones. Would be extremely bad business to lock it to a single carrier when every single other version of the phone WW is unlocked....

20-20 hindsight. Was AliExpress a legitimate deal from a legitimate company? This was a deal linked from AA . This deal was for the 64gb version, after hunting around the 64 is harder to find than the common 32gb. After setting up to buy this phone last minute research caused me to bail due to questions of the legitimacy of the site offering the special.there seems to be 5 versions of the phone location oriented, China, Taiwan, us, European, and worldwide, any suggestions on identifying these characteristics? It would seem the European and the China don't work in the US. there also seems to be two versions of the four gigabyte at 2.3 or 1.8 quad core.the intent is to use this phone with solavei which uses t mobile towers in the US.
Also, is it possible to have a 2gb ram 551 ?
Originally ordered 2.3/4gb/64gb/silver 3 days ago off eglobalcentral and immediately after my order it went out of stock. Cancelled that order and just ordered from Aliexpress w/ DHL (up to 7 days processing + 3-7 days shipping time). It was still $10 cheaper with upgraded shipping at Aliexpress.
Alibaba is a publicly traded company and they offer full refund if the retailer screws you over. This was a front page deal on AliExpress. I would be seriously surprised if they screwed this up. Anyway, I will update once I get it. Irony is I already got my case/tempered glass from Amazon with 2 day delivery.
Excited to switch out my nokia brick to zenfone 2 on TMO USA! ASUS made me wait too long for a US release. I go on a long vacation end of May and need a phone/camera!
If you cannot wait to see what the US release is like, I would recommend getting the TW or WW model. I had a TW model and worked fine on T-MO, but returned it due to a faulty Bluetooth. I now have a WW model that I bough from eglobal central. With the new firmware, works even better.

Looking for the best source for LG G4 H815 EU in the US

I live in the US and want to purchase the H815 variant. I see there are several different H815's, an EU, a Taiwan, and maybe a Korean.
I would like to be able to purchase it with a warranty and to be sure its the EU variant, so that it will be bootloader unlockable. I know LG says they will make others unlockable in the future, but it doesn't say how long. I hate for them to drag their feet and it still not be unlockable 2 months from now because I got the Taiwan region H815.
I see the H815 on ebay and amazon, but no one is really clear on which region code the device is. Does anyone have any input? Thanks!
Those on eBay and Amazon all seem to ship from either Singapore or Taiwan.
It stands to reason that if there are indeed different flavors named the same (H815), -- what an odd decision by LG -- those would be the Asian variety, not EU. I think I saw in some thread here something about an owner of one of these phones not being successful at doing the official unlock.

Indeed, I read this same post and was my initial cause for concern. I wonder why its the same model number, H815? I wonder why LG didn't opt for a different model for these different regions if they are going to roll out unlocks for them at different times.
expansys-usa.com has the EU G4 H815 in stock in the US I believe. It was like $100 more than the eBay sellers though last I checked.
Keep in mind there is no US warranty on the UK version. I called and checked.

This is quite sad. I assume there is no US/North American version of the H815?
You see this?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW...997?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item41975ab34d
I'm been communicating with never-msrp and tropical mobile, the two sellers on ebay who are selling in bulk and competitive pricing (now under $600)
They are both selling the asian version which is actually H815T (vs H815)
never-msrp says he will have the EU version in 3-4 days but only available in plastic back
I hope this helped~!
Also, as far as I can understand, you won't get any warranty on the device (if you're looking for the H815, you're unlocking anyways so that voids warranty as well)
Their product page states that the phone comes with LG's 12-month warranty. That is for the Asian version.
EU version's pages, at least on Amazon, however, explicitly state "no warranty".
So the warranty deal could be a regional issue.

actually scratch that. H815T is the Hong Kong version according to LG HK's website
If you do a search on ebay for H815T you'll see a lot of postings where it does NOT say it's factory unlocked. Except the ones that never-msrp are selling so not sure what to make of it.
I too live in canada and our support( for dev purposes AND legit updates) sucks in general so I'd really like to get an international version but the warranty and this EU vs Asia H815 issue is really holding me back....
Handtec looks like they have some good options. I contacted them and their phone is the EU H815 and they ship internationally. Total shipped to the US for the "LG G4 32GB - Metallic Grey" is £406.89 which google says is $623.70 right now. Not a bad price for a known EU H815. I don't have the funds just yet, so I will keep looking for any cheaper source for the next few weeks anyway.

Do we (united states) have to pay any sort of import/duty/customs fee when it arrives in the USA? That would be a deal breaker. And I'm assuming this would come with an EU power brick so we'd need to supply our own charger?

Good questions, I don't know the answer to that. I wouldn't care about the EU power brick, but I would hate to pay any customs fee unless it was VERY small. Does anyone know the answer to these questions?

After a couple of revisions, the FedEx coordinator accepted the form and the result was that I paid no additional import or customs duties or fees, and the package was not delayed or held up. As I said, ordered on Tuesday from the U.K., in my hands Wednesday morning here in New York

Mejilan,
Thanks for letting me know about your post. I have read it and it was most helpful. Is there any trick to how you filled out this form that allowed you to have incur any fees?
Sure. I used a bit of Google-Fu to figure out what I should be filling in for the FCC ID and Manufacturer's Address fields in the FCC Form 740 FedEx Customs had me fill out. The rest of the form was fairly straightforward. Towards the bottom, they ask you to specify the kind of import you're arranging by selecting from options 1-8. I went with the first option.
https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearchResult.cfm?RequestTimeout=500
FCC ID: ZNFH815
Manufacturer's Address:
LG Electronics MobileComm USA, Inc.
1000 Sylvan Ave.
Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632
United States
Edit - For some reason, direct linking to the FCC page isn't working for me. Could just be my browser. But if it fails for you as well, simply go to:
https://www.fcc.gov/fccid and do a manual search yourself. The Grantee code is ZNF. The Product Code is H815. Then click on Search. You may leave Applicant Name blank.

For anyone intersted, I just heard back from the eBay selling "never msrp" who has been selling the LG G4 in bulk one eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-LG-G4-H...r-/191577825455?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123) and he told me that he will be getting the European version in limited quantity on Monday for the same price but only in brown (leather), gray and white colors.
I think this would be the best route as he ships from Houston.
Old thread I know but based on it I ordered from Handtec. I received a phone with a region code of BAL which was unlockable via official method. I received the phone 2 days after I ordered in a rural part of Washington State, USA.

Korea v30

Hi
I know a few folks here ordered their v30s from S Korea, could you guys share some links for me to order? I heard the Korea version comes with B&O headphones as well?
Thanks
I ordered mine on amazon.co.jp (from korean SK Telecom), but I suppose it will ship only to Japan. And yes, it had B&O headphones in the box.
Also I tested display phones here in korea and haven't come across with screen issues yet.

It's the cheapest option out-there. Where you from? Consider the fact that you will also have to pay VAT when clearing customs in your country + import duty tax, unless your country does not apply it. Import duty tax in most countries is applied by the same principle - if there's a phone producing company in your country import tax is added, so to protect the local producer.

I live in India, and LG hasn't released any info on when they're going to launch here and I really need a phone asap.

Got mine from Korea through EBay. Got the plus, came with b&o. Honestly, it's pretty good considering it's a bundled pair, but beyond that I don't think it's anything to write home about. They're rather bulky and uncomfortable for me (could be because I've been using klipsch x12s which are abnormally small and light) and the sound feels..hollow. At least that's the best I can describe it. If I didn't have a decent pair of earphones I would want them bundled but if not, I don't think I'd give it too much thought.

Np. I actually cancelled my first order of V30 from South Korea -> http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-V30-64GB...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2748.l2649 (refund was very smooth and fast - it took 1 day), since I would not be able to cope with the fact that device, which considering all shipping costs, VAT/customs duties, would end up costing me 1000 USD, would feel cheap in hand. I will wait for it to become freely available locally and buy it then for ~600-700 USD.. BTW, LG has the craziest price drops -> LG G6 when first became available locally in April, 2017 and it was going for 800-900 EUR . Today I can buy new LG G6 for 370 EUR. Crazy!
The more read the more I feel that although its awesome it does not actually hold up to that hefty price tag.
Pros are more or less known but from the cons I see the following:
- banding/color issues <- rather rare issue, but its still out-there;
- camera is nowhere near perfect <-issues with OIS, image stab., selfie cam is crap, low light is ****;
- plastic/cheap feel <-phone above 600-700 USD needs premium feel. Just look what OP did with their OP5 @just 500 USD. It feels awesome build wise!

Last question! What would the updates situation look like? Do Korea phones get updates out of Korea?
When my N5 broke, LG gave me an AT&T G5 (h820) as replacement, and since I don't live in the US, I haven't received a single update in the last year or so.
Edit: Btw, Wonda Mobile assured me that the phone would get updates.

Well, comparing the sound quality to my Sennheiser IE80 (5 of 5) and Sennheiser CX880 (4 of 5) earphones, the B&O ones are somewhat 3 of 5.
Also, I didn't like B&O ergonomics either, I was barely able to fit the bits into my ears (the earphone part is too short) and the control block is attached to the left wire is too close to the earphone, difficult to see and press buttons. I would buy something else.

Don't get me wrong, I almost bought the OP5. it is a great phone for what it is.. My worry with the V30 is that its availability is sketchy and LG are not letting people know when it will be available in various markets. I'm in Australia, and even the LG reps have no clue when its dropping... Its becoming a unicorn phone. So much so I'll probably have to buy one from Korea to enjoy it
Wondamobile
Ordered mine from Wondamobile. Arrived to Uk in 3 Days with B&O earphones. I have used these people a few times and the service is excellent and they are always at a good price.

Its same **** here in Europe/Latvia. LG hasn't given any, even ~release date, so I almost bought it from South Korea .
My order of V30 through ebay from South Korea was actually a misclick while I was browsing through ebay on my OP5 . Misclick happened on October 7 and thankfully SK had holidays until October 11, so my order was not processed/ shipped out so the support allowed my to cancel and get full refund although that particular seller (gn_australia) does not offer refunds explicitly (just exchange or ebay money guarantee in case the product does not meet the description). I want that v30, but in a reasonable way - eu retail price, local guarantee and no extra costs like VAT and customs duties while shipping from abroad..

Hi whats the situation on bootloader unlock/root for the Korean devices? Are they as locked down as the US carrier versions?

Order placed!

Just took advantage of the TMobile BOGO on the V30+. I'll also be eligible for the LG $400 prepaid card. That'll pay for the down payments on both devices and T-Mobiles prepaid card will pay off one of the devices. ?
I was considering the same, buy you have to add a new line of service, so I don't have a need for that yet. But this is a great deal!

I was under the impression that if you took advantage of the BOGO offer, you could not use the $400 rebate as well on another LG product. Am I incorrect about that?

I didn't see anything stating the likes of that. The BOGO is through TMobile and the $400 is through LG. 2 separate agreements.

The $400 TOS agreement says you can't use it with the 2nd BOGO phone.
LG is probably financing the carrier deals, so technically it's all through LG?
Read point #2. The second phone in a BOGO deal is not eligible to be purchase #2 for the $400 gift card.
But point #1 says you can buy ANOTHER LG PRODUCT and still qualify for the $400 gift card.
Just can't be a BOGO phone, because you are already getting that FREE. You have to pay full price for TWO devices to get the $400 gift card.

You can only receive one prepaid card. Through LG. That doesn't count on the one from T-Mobile.
That's stating you can't go buy 2 other LG products and get 2 x $400 cards.....?

Read point #2. The 2nd phone may not eligible since you already got it for free (if the BOGO offer is really being done through LG).
But it says an "LG BOGO" offer. You need to make sure the deal through T-Mobile is through T-Mobile or is it really through LG?
I suspect it's through LG. I may be wrong.

This BOGO is through TMobile. That's why TMobile issues the card? Hmm. I've done the BOGO several times with T-Mobile and always received the maugactures promo offer on top of TMobile. IDK. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

I got the impression that the Second BOGO unit can't be treated as purchasing of Second Unit of LG in order to get $400 LG Gift Card as you already treated it as BOGO promo.
But you can buy any other LG product (mobile or electronics) as a Second Purchasing unit, you may also buy the 3rd unit of V30 if you want to, to get $400, I might be wrong , since English is not my first language.
The Wording is confusing but I have ordered from T-Mobile by adding the line

Don't know. The wording is kind of tricky. We will see when I submit mine in 15 days.
OK, just placed order for LG V30 US998 (carrier unlocked version) on B&H website. So, I'll qualify for the $400 gift card from LG when I order the 2nd one -- and I have 45 days from purchase of the 1st device to buy the 2nd device. (You have to buy the 1st device by December 2.) So, if they ship on December 5 (as predicted right now), I'll have this first one in hand in less than 2 weeks.
I don't expect bootloader unlock and root until end of December, maybe into January... If it's 6 weeks like the LG G6, will be mid-January. So, this first one may not be my daily driver, but I can mess around with it.
Then, within 45 days (probably about the time the LG V30 gets root), I'll order the 2nd one and get an even later "manufacture date" (December or even January manufacture date). THAT one will be my phone, and this first one will probably be my wife's. I'll have to order the 2nd one by January 10, if my time limit is 45 days from when I placed the first order.
Another reason I'm waiting to order the 2nd one is LG has not yet officially announced this open market US998 model. So, we don't REALLY know the specs. I'm hoping for a V30+ option... If so, that will be my 2nd LG V30, which I will use as my daily driver. I know B&H Photo has been listing this US998 for like THREE months now (I posted a screenshot in THIS thread in early September), and only in 64GB. But LG has still NOT officially announced this "open market" US998 phone, and no other sites except for B&H list it, even though there WILL be other authorized retailers. I'm hoping for a V30+ surprise when LG does officially announce/release that model.

Damn, I'm jealous.
There are no such kick ass deals in my country.
Looks like the v30 community is well established already.
Enjoy the lgv30s chazzmatt.
Just bought two cheapy cricket lg stylo 3 phones for my kid and a replacement backup phone. Didn't buy it for custom ROMs I bought it because it was $30.... but the phone has virtually zero community.
The stylo 3+ has a small community, but apparently that does not apply.
My 2015 Moto X Pure is finally dying, and I've been eyeballing the LG V30 as a replacement (need an SD card, headphone jack, and flagship specs). But I don't want a carrier-branded phone, since I'm kind of married to my custom roms and Substratum themes. The official U.S. LG V30 website is interesting. If you go there (http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/v30) and click on the BUY NOW button, you get a ton of options for mostly carrier-branded models, and a few interesting "coming soon" options.
The B&H preorder button that's live is for the V30, but there's a shaded out button for the V30+ instead. Amazon has two buttons as well, for the V30 and V30+, but both are still disabled. There's a single V30 option for an "unlocked" model, but it too is disabled for now. Personally, I'm waiting to see the V30+ options from Amazon and B&H. I hope they're the open market versions. I won't place an order until things are better clarified. But I can only hope my trusty Moto holds out until then...

You paid $150 + the insurance cost monthly for as long as you've had the phone. Which appears to be 2 years. The cheapest insurance with T-Mobile is $10/month I believe. That's $240. $240 + $150 is $390. Plus however much you paid for the Lumia at that time.
Imagine me at a party.....

Probably a pricing error. Possibly a "missing" pallet of phones that someone is trying to clear out quick.
Interestingly, the description and title claim fedex shipping, but the shipping offered is $25 for China's standard "yea it'll get here eventually" shipping.
Still, it's there if anyone wants to give it a shot. Worst thing that can happen is you receive a rock and Paypal refunds your money.
And there's a competing seller:

And then confusingly says "FREE Fedex Shipping" to U.S. and a bunch of other countries.
Trying to figure out what the scam is. Because eBay/PayPal will give you the money back if you don't receive the item or you receive some kind of counterfeit, right?

V30 64GB Silver Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Smartphone
You say you have more than 10 available for sale, but you only allow sellers to buy one item every 10 days.
Can you tell me more about this phone, the price/quantity, and why that policy?

OK, but what about the Verizon one?
That seller only allows you to buy one item every 10 days. Something strange going on. I bought one, just to see. $40. Tampa, FL.
But I made sure to buy with my credit card, so I can easily do a chargeback when I discover what the scam is...
_______________
I just sent the seller a message, asking some questions.
He'll probably say it's mistake in listing, or something.
But he's listed as being in Tampa, FLORIDA, the listing is on eBay.com -- yet the monetary amount in in CANADIAN dollars.

I don't know.. I'm really tempted to risk the $50 to see if I get a real H930ds. But what if it's stolen or something? And from China... Seems fishy, but I'd definitely run a custom ROM on it.

No custom ROM. The DS (double SIM) model doesn't have bootloader unlock.

I bought the Verizon one out of curiosity. If it's legit (for some very wierd reason I can't even imagine), a friend of mine with AT&T will gladly pay me $40 to replace her LG G3 with this. Yeah, Verizon model doesn't have LTE band 12/17. But it has LTE bands 2, 4, 5 and HSPA. For $40, she won't complain.
If it's a scam/wrong listing, I'll get my money back. I'm more curious why listed in Canada dollars on U.S. eBay.
And IF legit, why $40? Even if bad ESN (stolen/non payment of account), people try to charge more than that. Like the Sprint phone scams... But he has "more than 10" available, so sounds like a batch of refurbished -- yet it says "new", and even refurbished LG V30 are going for $300-$400.
I'm so skeptical, but curious what the "explanation" will be.

Got a message from eBay saying the seller's account was compromised. Transaction cancelled.

Aw, that wasn't even something I'd considered as a possibility. And out of the list of possibilities as a whole, it's the least interesting one : \
Oh well, it was an interesting puzzle while it lasted.
My order has just been shipped.
I wonder what I will actually receive!!!
