I can't make It official! By the way official or not doesn't mind. It's the smoothest and bugless rom here, i am using as daily driver.

If you already have an updated firmware, there's no need to flash. I am using this rom with psichedelic kernel and all is working good.

I installed your kernel in this rom and it does not boot, only the xiaomi logo appears and it turns off

Yea , I tried Aosp Extended . In my opinion, this ROM is better. You have the option to wake the device by pressing the home button, performance is better , battery seems preety good.

I did not find any option to enable double tap to wake on this rom , unfortunately. But , a good thing is that pressing the home button works to wake the screen.

I have completely removed DT2W and swapped buttons, are for MI5 only. Yes, i have enabled the home button to wake the device, so it works. I have reworked the configpanel for aosps roms, so all the features here will work with other roms too. I will update AospExteded, but i still prefer lineage: so smooth and fast!

I wonder what keeps Lineage maintainers away from the ROM you have cooked? Why it's not in the list of officially supported devices? I am sure the Mi Note2 owners would be happy to have Lineage as an option. I do.

I really don't know the reason. The msm8996's maintainers are bgcngm, luk1337 and luca020400 and i think no one of them have this device.

Thanks to everybody for your answers about DT2W, it's a pity that it's not working and had to be removed, I think I'll remain with Hondajhon88 version (unfortunately discontinued ) untill someone will find a solution.

What's funny?

Usaamah released an RR version for edge on 14/10/17 and in that build, the recent key button doesn't work. however, he did provide a workaround to make it work on his telegram group before that group was deleted. he mentioned changing the name of one system file but i can't remember which one. can you help me in this if you can? I'm on the aforementioned build on edge.

I remember with older builds when some animations were laggy especially when using the back key, also the device heats up very quickly without doing any intense tasks, and the Camera randomly crashes. I hope these bugs were fixed on the latest build.

Hi everyone. I was just on Gold elite but play store and other apps kept crashing. Ive only got nemesis and RR rom left to try. Does this rom support voLTE? Also anyone experience any other issues I'm looking for the most stable one out there need a working phone asap. Any help is appreciated. thanks in advance!

From my previous experience in most RR ROMs they have a few problems according to me, at least
1. Camera isn't as good as stock Samsung...well this can't be helped due to close sourced S6.
2. The night mode display is actually not helpful and it's pretty much of an extra pain..to my eyes are least.
3. Random lags and random changes of screen color temperature.
4. Little slow wake lock
5. Sometimes , in fact pretty rarely call drop/no in call volume .
But remember the lineage OS/Resurrection remix on android nougat has covered a tremendous amount of success on s6....there were days when most things didn't work and everything was super slow...but now a lot of it has been fixed thankfully

Coldhans, I know you're working on two roms for this device. Is arrow your own implementation, and that's why it's unoffical? I'd rather put this on my phone if it is. I know I shouldn't ask, but the other rom that you're working on(crdroid) says it's able to install magisk, so is there no root implementation on this one too? Can I install any root, or does one already exist on this? This will make up my mind up on which to install.

Arrow's next build will be official.
crDroid uses LOS inbuilt root; Arrow doesn't have root built in and will require Magisk or another root solution.

Yay! I use magisk to install xposed, which has xposed edge (my gesture control). Can't live without it.

A couple issues i have got.
WhatsApp camera + Video calling - works by itself at times but mostly doesnt
Video playback on WhatsApp (+GIF) and Instagram doesn't work good.
Does anyone have the issues?
And the volume in call is very low.
Is there a workaround apart from using Custom Kernel (when we have it) and tweaking the speaker gain?

Can you share screenshots ?

I seem to have a little problem with the rom upon startup. Phone boots, loads the rom, then, after a few seconds, the screen fades to black. The rom is loaded, and you can hear the double tap, notifications, etc. I have to press the power button, until the screen turns on(the reboot menu shows too, but that's expected). Everything is fine after that, and the rom/phone is very stable, and smooth. I don't think it's a hardware problem, it doesn't show up anywhere else(even in recovery). Is there certain apps that this rom doesn't like? It runs like a charm, even when rooted, except this. Also if it's rooted, don't put kernel aditor(mod) in internal storage, it will make the system close, and reopen apps( The only reinstall I had to make after). Great smooth rom, coldhans, you did a good job on this.

Found out that the screen lock(pin, don't know about pattern, only use pin) may have something to do with it. Turned that off, phone booted normally. When the official rom is released, will it be enforcing, or permissive?
Can't use the fingerprint button because of Google's
insistence on having a lock method with the setup. I need that for my camera. Any ideas? A way to bypass that? It's a smooth rom regardless.

Does exFat work in this ROM? The lineage ROM doesn't support it and I don't want to reformat my 250Gb card. Thanks for the ROM @coldhans!

No, it doesn't work yet...

Battery drain is still good for a old phone(of course using greenify) , the room seems well balanced. Apps are doing their usual tricks with notifications, and the power draw is a touch better. Good start.

Edit: Changelog for this week: Added full rootless Substratum support, merged October security patches.
SELinux is still permissive as of now.
I'll follow up with bug reports in this thread soon, I've been a little busy with work. (thanks especially to @reggjoo for being so active, know that I'm paying attention!)

Yes, always. You didn't let this phone down, so others shouldn't let your work down.

Dirty flashed, per your instructions. Don't reboot phone after, when installing magisk, install it right after you install official( with a dalvik/cache wipe before, and after rom install) . Update went smoothly, no probs.

Very nice rom, ik have encountered no problems so far, music plays good battery drain is excellent, so far everything works good, thanks a lot. I will post my findings when encountering problems.

I think i found a bug. When i open telegram, the proximity sensor goes blinking and in my case after installation, deep sleep not work eh?

Both were already solved in 12th April build, i recommend clean flash.

You cannot directly install.. You have to flash a16 firmware + vbmeta+ lineage os + gapps ( first u need to be unlocked bootloader to do these)

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

What's not working:
Widevine L1
Some users may face "idle freeze" bug (phone reboots after a few minutes with the screen off). If it happens try to change kernel.
Instructions:
Download the latest build and GApps (optional)
Reboot to recovery
Wipe cache/dalvik and format data
Flash the latest build and GApps (optional)
Reboot
Downloads:
LineageOS
Lineage Recovery (optional, you can use any custom recovery)
mauronofrio's TWRP (recommended for OTA if/when it's added)
GApps (OpenGApps arm64 10.0 nano recommended)
Firmware for curtana, joyeuse, excalibur, gram (download the last version for Android 10)
Notes:
GApps are not included
ANXCam v190 reportedly works with all features
SafetyNet should always pass, if not use MagiskHide
The build codename is curtana but the ROM reportedly works for all miatoll devices
If you use Lineage Recovery make sure to mount /system before flashing GApps and Magisk
If you want Magisk, flash it after the first boot
If you want to update the ROM, make sure to disable ANXCam before flashing, you can re-enable it after the update
Use latest global firmware for curtana and joyeuse, Indian firmware for excalibur and gram

I've personally just done a dirty flash with no issues (as far as I can tell).

Which one from @LeddaZ did you upgrade from? I'm still running version ...20210117 and I'm in doubt whether I need to upgrade to the last one from leddaz before flashing this one.

I had their final build installed before trying mine. It should be fine without it, but if you're paranoid flash that first.

Hi there! Has anyone noticed that the speaker's peak volume is too low compared to miui??? Also does anyone have an echo problem(when you speak with someone they can hear their voice twice)??? If so is there any possible solution??

Yes, seems to be a lineage 17.1 problem. I have rr installed and the same problem.

no echo here. But i had troubles with unkown calls, even they were in my address book. I had to switch off 4G calling.
