Transparent back cover protector? - HTC U11+ Accessories

Hi guys. Did you find any back covers (not cases) that are transparent? I checked skinomi but they have only screen protectors.

https://www.gadgetshieldz.com/htc-u11-plus-screen-protectors-covers-cases.html
This is the only one I have seen. If you get it let me know how it turns out.

Just got mine and installed it. Works ok so far, no issues. has separate side protection stickers as well which makes the phone a bit grippier.
Also another one available is the link below, but I found it didn't cover to the very edges of the glass like the Gadgetshieldz one did.

How does this one work? Its like a screen protector, however for the backside of your phone?? How does this make your phone more "grippier" though?

It makes it grippier as it's like a plastic screen protector for the back, but made of more rubbery transparent plastic, which is much less slippery than glass.

Screen replacement already

Well its been a little over a week and had been doing well with no scratches. Been putting it in my pockets and laying it around just everyday normal use. Well today I scratched it pretty good. Had on my rock revival jeans. Most of these jeans have a button right above the pocket opening. Well it slid across that button and scratched it pretty good. I had already bought a tempered glass screen protector off eBay but was going to wait on putting it on. So I peeled off the outer layer. This was surprisingly easy. And I put on the glass protector. I know Motorola advised against this but theirs scratches pretty good. This glass one doesn't scratch. And it does actually feel better. Shatter proof is awesome but scratch proof is important too.
You know u can put a screen protector over the shatterproof film and u wouldn't have that problem

Yeah I know. But all the other phones I had were gorilla glass and didn't scratch and I liked that. Never used screen protectors on them. When I put the glass one on top of their outer shield, it was just too thick for me. It seemed like the screen was more sunk in. I knows that may sound like nic picking but I didn't like it.

Found one on eBay and it fits perfectly. Yeah it will shatter but I'm pretty confident the underneath won't if I drop it. All layers are plastic. I'm liking it so far. So to me, I kinda get the best of both worlds. Scratch resistance and shatter proof (underneath that is).
Honestly u just need a basic thin scratch resistance screen protector cause tempered glass isnt really needed with a 4 year screen warranty
The one I found on eBay was like 15.00. It fits really well. It has the cut out for the speakers and covers the rest. It's a little thicker than the original but I use a snap on slim fitting tpu case and it covers all the outer edges nicely.

How is the fit on the edges and center? Some have commented that there is a slight curve to the screen and the glass doesn't sit down in the center.

I picked up the tempered glass that Verizon sells for the Turbo 2. It is extremely thin and flexible (so it works well with the slight curve), if applied correctly you can barely tell it's on there.
Yeah it worked well at first but now its starting to bubble in middle and on one corner. I'd look for a different one. I just ordered trimaxx 360 clear case. I'm hoping this will work pretty well. It has pretty good reviews. I really don't want to put Verizon's outer shield back on. It scratches way too easily.

Any suggestions for non-tempered glass screen protector?

Anyone found a good film protector that cover's most of the front surface of the phone? Thanks
Waiting on Spigen and Ringke/Rearth offerings first.
Best option would be the pure gear. Picked one from a T-Mobile store. The tray coming with the kit means effortless mounting. And the film covers the entire screen from below the LG logo to above the secondary screen minus the camera.
Sent from a TMo V20
I'm using the A.R.M station, it came free with the phone, bottom part is just stops at the bottom of the LG logo, top part just before the curve.
At present you need a TPU one for full coverage.
Thanks for the suggestions, I need to clarify that I am most concerned about the screen/black area of the front. It doesn't have to cover absolutely everything.

I purchased this one and am happy with it. Does not cover screen at curve on top and bottom. You need to start at the bottom where your screen actually lights up when installing and you will be fine.

I just installed the skinomi brand one. Complete coverage (perfect fit of entire screen). Installed without bubbles and all. Has a really nice feel to it. Unable to comment on durability at this time.
I bought the IQ shield matte and it's great. Fully covers glass right to the edge and works with a case

Is the skinomi slippery or grippy? I prefer brands that more slippery like power support but they're not offered for this phone.

If I had to call it one or the other I would lead towards slippery. It feels like the actual screen glass IMO. Not super slippery, but slides comfortably.
Although they didn't give a release date, phantom skinz will have one out soon. I've used them for all my phone's and they have always been great. They also offer full body coverage as well.
I buy a bunch of xtremeguard during their sales
I'm still using the stock screen protector.

What is the best non-Tempered glass screen protector for LG V20?

Since there don't seem to be any tempered glass screen protectors that cover the entire screen and stick properly to the curved edges, I'm looking for the next best option.
What is the best protective film for the V20?
So far, I have come across these two on eBay:
1. Nillkin HD Clear Crystal Transparent Thin Phone Screen Protector Film For LG V20
2. 2x Mikvon Armor Screen Protector for LG V20 Retail Package with accessories
Anyone have experience with either of these protectors? Are they worth buying?
I tried to find Skinomi on eBay but shipping to my country is not available.
Note. International shipping is important.

Yes I did but the shipping costs are way too high, at U$9.95 + U$4.00 it would cost more to ship to my country than the cost of the screen protector itself.
I got this one and it rocks! It goes all the way to sides and it doesn't attract fingerprints, without compromising the screen quality!

The Armorsuit screen protectors have always treated me well. They seem to be clearer/have less of a "fuzz effect" than the others I've tried. They're wet application if that matters to you. I personally think it makes the process easier.

Mikvon goes from edge to edge. However it does not stick to the top and bottom curve of the phone. You will have a gap and it slowly collect dust. Also if you have a case, it might push on to the SP on the side.

Is this wet application? How much room is on the side? I use spigen case and looking for screen protector that doesn't interfere with it.
If the screen protector goes from edge to edge it has tendency to be peeled off by case.
Also does it cover entire screen from top to botton included lg logo?
Not a wet application. Just a dry one - you'll get quite a bit of bubbles but they clear up within a day. It's got about 1mm at the sides, cutting it a little close - slight off and you'll have that halo issue which I solved by snipping a bit off whichever corner.

So far, I haven't seen such a problem. No dust or lint collecting on the sides. but like I mentioned, slight alignment issues and you'll probably have to trim it off using a cuticle scissors or something - that's what I did. :good::good:
Here's a video for reference. Pardon the quality, I got the cam for christmas so just fooling around with it.

It's definitely better then the Mikvon I got. The ads say "gold..." and the pic shows a tint of gold?? Don't see that in the video though, so it's just a normal TPU SP?

The gold is just the top film used during application. It's really just clear. Not too sure how a TPU SP is like but I reckon yes, it's just a normal clear version.
One word of advice, don't try to remove the cut-outs when you're removing film 1, leave it there, it's easier to remove that way - I learnt that the hard way.
Here's it now, the bubbles are pretty much gone and I haven't done anything specific to it. Perhaps playing some swiping games pushes the bubbles away

Bump. Anyone find anything yet? Tried the highly recommended skinomi and that thing is crap. If you want to feel like you're touching an inner tube for a bike (minus the dirt) enjoy. But I can't stand that rubber feel. Ordered a different PET type from Amazon, hasn't come yet but hoping I'll have luck. Wet installations suck. And absolutely hate tempered glass. So, anyone have any PET type protectors to recommend that cover the whole screen?

Nope, dry install. If centered correctly upon installation, it is complete full coverage. My tip is to get a deep steam in your bathroom, and make sure your hands are clean. I have no lifting from my case and I got a case that the phone slides into. It has been perfect since install. Only 1 comes in package, but lifetime warranty. I highly recommend it.

Thee Best Screen Protector!!!

Hey guys! Just thought I'd share my experience trying to hunt down the best screen protector for my Galaxy S10e.
After trying about 4 different glass protectors all with pinch hole camera cut outs and being dis satisfied with the look and feel of the edges I decided to try one that came with a solid glass that covered the front entirely. It also had a super thin black boarder that I wasn't entirely convinced I was going to like.
Turns out it is AMAZING!! Phone looks literally as if there is nothing on. Edges are completely smooth so no more scratchy feeling whenever I slide my finger to use the edge display or gesture navigations.
Totally felt I had to share this! You can search for it on Amazon! :highfive:

Share the name and link maybe? Is it case friendly? Do the black edges cover up some screen or leave everything visible as before?
The same?

Sorry wasn't sure if I could share a link i just added it to the OP. Yes it is case friendly and I belive the black border covers a super small part of the screen that is a fraction of a millimeter. When using edge lighting all you need to do is increase the thickness a bit.
However it does not get in the way at all and from my experience it is way better than other screen protectors I have tried that have transparent as they reflect the light at angles. Also the borders look terrible during the day, you can clearly trace it with your eye. This one literally reflects no light and looks like if there is nothing on it at all (the black border provides this effect)
Furthermore, this one comes with a plastic frame that makes placement and alignment such a breeze!
Hope that helps!

Got the Nillkin glass protector -> https://www.nillkin-case.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=6425

Very easy install with alignment tool, nice squeegee tool got all the bubbles out. Looks excellent after install was complete. Will update in a few days to see how it look after a few days of use but so far so good. Was probably the easiest Tempered glass screen saver I have ever installed, very satisfied
Bought this exact screen protector because I wanted something inexpensive and without a cam cutout (I'd rather deal with an additional layer of glass on a front camera I anyway never use than with dust piling up in a tiny cutout). Well, I don't share OP's enthusiasm. A corner started to shatter appart after only a week, and I didn't even drop it or anything. It was in the same pocket as my lighter which might be the culprit but c'mon, if it can't handle a lighter and turns into a H8 shards dispenser that soon, how is it supposed to prevent scratches on the screen ?
Another corner got damaged after a 50cm (metric FTW) drop on wooden floor and I decided to get rid of it altogether.
It's cheap, it's easy to apply, it looks good (although the black border overlaps the screen by maybe half a millimeter), and it might last a bit longer for someone less careless than I am, still not a viable long term option according to me.

Sucks you had a bad experience with it. So I ended up reaching out to them after myself finding my screen protector had cracked and they sent me another one for free.
It probably isn't the strongest screen protector but it's cheap, easy to install, and looks great! It's TRUE the protectors with the hole punch are a haven for dust and just look hideous in general.
If you stumble across a better screen protector I'd love to hear about it! Perhaps I'll try it out next if this one tanks on me again
Cheers!

Looks like it might have trouble fitting properly if used with a case. The black border looks problematic. Have you used it with a case and, if so, do you have any pics or comments on that? Thanks.
I'm trying to figure out the best front screen protector as well. I would prefer tempered glass but have only seen a couple and not in stock at the moment. Still have the stock one on it but it's starting to bubble and peel/Crack on the sides.
I'm using these white stone dome front tempered glass screen protector. I got two of them for $10. They work decent with a case. But make sure it is a minimalistic case like the Samsung carbon fiber.

I am currently using samsungs silicone case and there is no problems with it coming off. Have not tried with a heavy duty case but I honestly don't see it as a problem
I got my leather case (samsung one) today and love it. However as soon as i applied it the cover screen plastic protector came off in the edge so i just removed it.
since it seems pretty thick on the inside - is there any 9h glass available yet which fits with the case? Or can i go to a samsung store and they reapply the plastic one on the cover screen?
i dont mind paying
I'm using the Whitestone glass screen protector. NOT the EZ. I've used it on all my phones since it was first released, including I Note devices and the Z Fold 2.

I'm waiting on these to get delivered to me today actually. The stock one on my front screen is starting bubble and peel up on the side. My case kinda covers it up but the stock one is also picking up quite a few scratches. Hopefully these will do the job. Isn't that easy to fine a good tempered glass screen protector for this device. Yeah, exactly this one. My mistake I wrote EZ.
In UK is available from Amazon.
Anyone got a recommendation for a good case? Id normally use Spigen but some of their case prices are ambitious to say the least.

I'm using the Ringke Slim and I really like it. I ordered the Spigen S Pen case, but it won't ship for another week or so. Looks bigger than I'd like, but definitely need something I can switch to when I really need to carry the S Pen and don't want to have it loose in a pocket.
I also ordered the official Samsung Aramid case (which also won't arrive for another week or two). Based on the reports I've read and the pics I've seen, the Aramid appears to be the slimmest case available for the ZF3. I hate bulky cases, especially on a device that's as large as the ZF3, so I'm guessing I'll probably settle on the Aramid for 90% of my daily use.

Thanks buddy, how are you finding the ringke slim? I was keen on that until i read a few amazon reviews mentioning the case had scratched their devices? Have you had any such issue? Would be good to hear if you used the sticky pads and if they are easy/hard to remove.

Great case. No scratches. Not sure how anyone scratched their Fold with this case. You'd have to be pretty damn careless to do that. I used the adhesive strips.
