Thee Best Screen Protector!!! - Samsung Galaxy S10e Accessories

Hey guys! Just thought I'd share my experience trying to hunt down the best screen protector for my Galaxy S10e.
After trying about 4 different glass protectors all with pinch hole camera cut outs and being dis satisfied with the look and feel of the edges I decided to try one that came with a solid glass that covered the front entirely. It also had a super thin black boarder that I wasn't entirely convinced I was going to like.
Turns out it is AMAZING!! Phone looks literally as if there is nothing on. Edges are completely smooth so no more scratchy feeling whenever I slide my finger to use the edge display or gesture navigations.
Totally felt I had to share this! You can search for it on Amazon! :highfive:
Link: amFilm Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy S10e, Tempered Glass, Full Screen Adhesive, with Easy Installation Tray (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PP9Q288/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_59LYCbQZEMHN9

Share the name and link maybe? Is it case friendly? Do the black edges cover up some screen or leave everything visible as before?

The same?

Sorry wasn't sure if I could share a link i just added it to the OP. Yes it is case friendly and I belive the black border covers a super small part of the screen that is a fraction of a millimeter. When using edge lighting all you need to do is increase the thickness a bit.
However it does not get in the way at all and from my experience it is way better than other screen protectors I have tried that have transparent as they reflect the light at angles. Also the borders look terrible during the day, you can clearly trace it with your eye. This one literally reflects no light and looks like if there is nothing on it at all (the black border provides this effect)
Furthermore, this one comes with a plastic frame that makes placement and alignment such a breeze!
Hope that helps!

Yea that's it!

Another good one is the tempered glass from Skinomi. It also comes with a install frame and they're 7.99 for a three pack. Look great, install quickly and cover pretty spot on.

I didn't know Skinomi make temper glass, just film.

Is the amFilm full glue? (not only on the sides?)
Never mind..... from Amazon: Bubble Free Guarantee, Full Screen Adhesive, Designed for easy installation with included Easy Application Tray!
And the Skinomi?

I think Skinomi is regular plastic, spray. Maybe I missed it but I can't find temper glass made by Skinomi.

If anyone wants to order from Aliexpress, CHYI brand always made great screen protectors, either hidro, film, tempered... I might try them out on the s10E soon.

Tried this because of your recommendation (and after trying 5 different "perfect" protectors) - it is really great and totally worth the money! Thanks, pal

Got the Nillkin glass protector -> https://www.nillkin-case.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=6425
It's covering the whole display, with black borders around it(they eat 1-2mm from the actual display).
Very happy about it. Bought it at a locat shop with about 20 euros.

I Love this screen saver
amFilm for Samsung S10e by TechMatte
Very easy install with alignment tool, nice squeegee tool got all the bubbles out. Looks excellent after install was complete. Will update in a few days to see how it look after a few days of use but so far so good. Was probably the easiest Tempered glass screen saver I have ever installed, very satisfied

Bought this exact screen protector because I wanted something inexpensive and without a cam cutout (I'd rather deal with an additional layer of glass on a front camera I anyway never use than with dust piling up in a tiny cutout). Well, I don't share OP's enthusiasm. A corner started to shatter appart after only a week, and I didn't even drop it or anything. It was in the same pocket as my lighter which might be the culprit but c'mon, if it can't handle a lighter and turns into a H8 shards dispenser that soon, how is it supposed to prevent scratches on the screen ?
Another corner got damaged after a 50cm (metric FTW) drop on wooden floor and I decided to get rid of it altogether.
It's cheap, it's easy to apply, it looks good (although the black border overlaps the screen by maybe half a millimeter), and it might last a bit longer for someone less careless than I am, still not a viable long term option according to me.

Sucks you had a bad experience with it. So I ended up reaching out to them after myself finding my screen protector had cracked and they sent me another one for free.
It probably isn't the strongest screen protector but it's cheap, easy to install, and looks great! It's TRUE the protectors with the hole punch are a haven for dust and just look hideous in general.
If you stumble across a better screen protector I'd love to hear about it! Perhaps I'll try it out next if this one tanks on me again
Cheers!

I should receive one from LK in a couple days, let's see how it holds. I cannot ask for a replacement, I'm french and they offer replacement only in america, but this time there's 3 in the package.

Does the amFilm protector black edge cover visible part of the screen like Nilkin does? Nilkin protector black sides cover also OLED visible screen (half mill on each side).

Skinomi is like InvisibleShield and require a wet application? I want a normal shield protector that just a stick on. Is Realook a wet application too?

My experience was just the opposite. My InvisibleShield kept peeling but my dry install screen protector was near perfect. I had the iPhone 3GS before the Atrix so I had a Power Support screen protector.
I just placed an order for Realook. I'll report in when I get it!
From the description, it is very similar to the Martin Fields protector which is slightly thick but strong and difficult to scratch.
I purchase this one early before the Realook was being sold:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PDHS9Y
It also has good reviews from other Android phones and it comes in 3 pcs/pkg. I'll compare it to the Martin Fields.
i just bought skinomi ones for like 16$ :x
I think the Realook screens are some of the best out there. The surface feel of it is very good albeit not as slick as those anti-glare ones. They aren't the most anti-finger goo, but they're not any worse than any other screen. When the phone is off, and you look at the screen in just the right light and angle (usually 45deg oblique under a fluorescent bulb) you see a very obvious rainbow effect. Not very desirable, but is not visible at any other time so it's okay.
The protection is adequate (never really tested but it works for me). The fit is excellent. Its the regular stick on kind. No touch sensitivity impedance. I've been waiting for the realook one for the Atrix for a while now. Don't understand why it's so hard to just cut plastic sheets...
Best part is that they're not stupidly priced. $10 for 2. Good value.
My room mate got the otterbox case and it came with a screen protector also. I think its one of the best screens I've seen. It seems to be very very anti-finger goo. Gonna look into it.
So I got my Realook cover today so here is a short review:
The packaging came quite professionally and included the standard stuff you would expect from a premium screen protector: microfiber cloth, alcohol wipe for cleaning, and some applicator to aid in putting it on. Each protector was individually wrapped. So good so far.
Now the bad. Both protectors I received were slightly warped; this means that the protector is not very thick. When applied, the warp goes away and does not affect the adhesiveness. What really annoyed me was that they decided to cut out a hole for the front camera; that in itself is not bad, but they decided to cut a U-shape out to the edge of the phone instead of just a circle. This, to me, is laziness or cost-cutting. This cut leaves a part of my screen unprotected. The second issue is that the part around the speaker hole are slightly bent and bubbled, making the protector not stick perfectly on the screen.
See my attached photo for these two issues.
Overall, I would give this protector a 7/10. The protector also shows a rainbow hue when seen from an angle. This doesn't bother me too much, especially when the screen is on, but I expected more. All in all, for $11 bucks for 2, it's not a bad bang for the buck but I'll probably try a SGP. Does anyone have a reveiw for the SGP? Does it cover the camera hole?
the Skinomi has the same outline for the camera.. I think it's standard for our phone..

Trust me when I say cutting the U instead of the circle is better. With the circle, if they just punch it out, it warps the material between the speaker and the camera, and leaves a bubble. iPhone 4 screen protectors are bad for this. The AT&T official screen protectors do this too, and it works fine.
I will be putting mine and the gf's on tonight..

BasalGuardz Screen Protector (Awesome Fit)

After trying alot of screen protectors i endup running to these basalguardz screen protector only for $7.99 and here is my quick review.

Are these comparable to the PowerSupport screen protectors for Apple products?
Starting to get tired of the Zagg's tackiness.
They are pretty darn cheap for a 3 pack I might just order one.
Ya I had iPhone 3gs pretty close to power support. Before this I had zagg just terrible quality and fitting on top wasn't that great and orange peel. Glad I find out this sp

Just bought the pack of three off amazon, $8.49. Had some leftover amazon credit and used it anyway.
I'll update on the quality/comparison to power support.

Just got mine in today. Gonna install them later when I can steam the bathroom, but doing a preliminary fit, they cover the screen perfectly.
Edit: After install the bottom edge does not want to stay down. Not much of a problem for me as I have a case on the way.
It does add a rainbow effect to the screen that is most prominent on whites or brighter colors. Don't know if it'll go away with time, but I am willing to live with it for now because the feel is way better than the Zagg.
It is definitely easier to slide my finger around. Does not attract much fingerprints and the anti-glare works well enough for me.
Overall, I'm happy with it. Mostly because of the price and improved feel over the Zagg. I'll have to do some long-term testing regarding the rainbow effect and if I can put up with it.

Just got mine and put one on. Fit is better than most, but the blasted curved edges do cause the top and bottom to lip up. I have an otterbox commuter so i don't even see the bottom just a little lipping at the top. Overall besides that, the cutouts are exact, the camera is perfectly cut and the earpiece looks good too. The anti glare effect is not for everyone, but i do appreciate it although it causes graininess. Barely any grease gets on this guy which is amazing. 8/10 for these protectors.
As compared to powersupport: take it like this... unless powersupport themselves makes protectors for the nexus, these are a clear runnerup to them.
One thing that is EXREMELY frustrating is that they used the system of two tabs on one edge to apply the protector, and they made the two tabs at the bottom of the protector, allowing for zero focal point to pivot the protector. Really wish they put them at the top. I still managed a perfect fit though

I just received mine. Here was my application method:
- Wipe with Windex electronics wipe
- Wipe with included microfiber cloth
- Spray with air duster can
- Peel off first layer and apply tape to the adjacent corner
- Position and press down with included card or plastic squeegee
- Peel off last layer and smooth out with microfiber and card
I LOVE the texture. Swyping is much easier. The matte finish is nice and goes well with my Qubits case. It does however make the screen look a bit grainy. Not so noticeable on dark colors, but when looking at lighter screens (i.e. Message app) it's noticeable.

I agree with the swiping, this matte finish has literately no friction that glass or plastic would have on your fingers, whether their dry, wet, or greasy. Antiglare films are one reason why my Temple Run session was extremely high on the iPod, lol.
Can anyone with this screen protector post some pics or video? Thanks.

I think im going to pull the trigger on these been looking into matte protectors an the reviews for these seem to be better than the rest, wouldn't mind seeing a video or a few pictures before i purchase but im getting real tired of the verizon protector i have
I've said it before in a different thread that the display quality of these devices are absolutely amazing, it would be a pity to ruin that with a screen protector. There isn't a true perfect screen protector, but the two I'd recommend is either XO or martin fields. The basal is cheap, but martin fields is also dry and super clear. However, it is a oil magnet just like the XO.

By reading these comments, wouldn't this screen protector be the same quality as the one Verizon sells? I used to have the Verizon one but I stepped away because of the grainy look on white screens (difficult to read sometimes).

Official OnePlus Screen Protector

I just received my screen protector that I ordered from the OnePlus accessory store, so I can tell you all about it.
The first thing is the price. Great value for a screen protector that boasts minimal image quality loss. While it may not be tempered glass, it's a good option for those of us who just want something to keep the actual screen from getting dirty or scratched from everyday wear.
The protector arrived in signature OnePlus fashion, with high quality white and red packaging. Inside the package it offers surprisingly nice instructions along with many tools to make the installation process easy to follow and complete. These tools include placement tabs, microfiber cloth with cool OnePlus logo, and a plastic squigee to rid any bubbles that may form.
Installation is very easy, as the instructions are pretty clear and easy to follow.
Once installed, you will see NO image color/quality distortion, as far as I can tell. However, you will notice a slightly different feeling when trying to swipe over your keyboard, but this is just what you experience with most screen protectors.
All in all, for the price I think this is a great protector. Will update if it starts having issues.
Got the same one. Great screen viewing quality with it on. I didn't notice too much of a different feel when swiping hut have noticed it does collect fingerprints more than the naked screen does. Perfect fit though and you have to look close to even notice there is a screen protector on. Well worth the price.

Ordered this with my phone, great protection, barely any scratches after a month use in comparison to other protectors on other smaller phones getting scratched randomly in pocket.
Not sure about screen quality of none vs ON as i pretty much slapped it on ASAP.

Wow really? Without my tempered glass protector, it was horrific at collecting finger prints!
Got two (one as a backup) to go with the official clear shell case and I'm more than happy, although it does pick up fingerprints like a MF! Easy fitting and bubble-free first time so worth a look if you want some basic protection
How was the installation with getting rid of bubbles? I seem to always get one bubble or piece of dirt under these adhesive style protectors.

What is the best non-Tempered glass screen protector for LG V20?

Since there don't seem to be any tempered glass screen protectors that cover the entire screen and stick properly to the curved edges, I'm looking for the next best option.
What is the best protective film for the V20?
So far, I have come across these two on eBay:
1. Nillkin HD Clear Crystal Transparent Thin Phone Screen Protector Film For LG V20
2. 2x Mikvon Armor Screen Protector for LG V20 Retail Package with accessories
Anyone have experience with either of these protectors? Are they worth buying?

Yes I did but the shipping costs are way too high, at U$9.95 + U$4.00 it would cost more to ship to my country than the cost of the screen protector itself.
I got this one and it rocks! It goes all the way to sides and it doesn't attract fingerprints, without compromising the screen quality!

The Armorsuit screen protectors have always treated me well. They seem to be clearer/have less of a "fuzz effect" than the others I've tried. They're wet application if that matters to you. I personally think it makes the process easier.

Mikvon goes from edge to edge. However it does not stick to the top and bottom curve of the phone. You will have a gap and it slowly collect dust. Also if you have a case, it might push on to the SP on the side.

Is this wet application? How much room is on the side? I use spigen case and looking for screen protector that doesn't interfere with it.
If the screen protector goes from edge to edge it has tendency to be peeled off by case.
Also does it cover entire screen from top to botton included lg logo?
Not a wet application. Just a dry one - you'll get quite a bit of bubbles but they clear up within a day. It's got about 1mm at the sides, cutting it a little close - slight off and you'll have that halo issue which I solved by snipping a bit off whichever corner.

So far, I haven't seen such a problem. No dust or lint collecting on the sides. but like I mentioned, slight alignment issues and you'll probably have to trim it off using a cuticle scissors or something - that's what I did. :good::good:
Here's a video for reference. Pardon the quality, I got the cam for christmas so just fooling around with it.

It's definitely better then the Mikvon I got. The ads say "gold..." and the pic shows a tint of gold?? Don't see that in the video though, so it's just a normal TPU SP?

The gold is just the top film used during application. It's really just clear. Not too sure how a TPU SP is like but I reckon yes, it's just a normal clear version.
One word of advice, don't try to remove the cut-outs when you're removing film 1, leave it there, it's easier to remove that way - I learnt that the hard way.
Here's it now, the bubbles are pretty much gone and I haven't done anything specific to it. Perhaps playing some swiping games pushes the bubbles away

Bump. Anyone find anything yet? Tried the highly recommended skinomi and that thing is crap. If you want to feel like you're touching an inner tube for a bike (minus the dirt) enjoy. But I can't stand that rubber feel. Ordered a different PET type from Amazon, hasn't come yet but hoping I'll have luck. Wet installations suck. And absolutely hate tempered glass. So, anyone have any PET type protectors to recommend that cover the whole screen?
Found one. Non-tempered glass, no orange peel feel, fits perfectly. 5$ on Amazon. Orzero LG V20 Screen Protector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GO1YXFQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3r5XybWYKE83Q

This thread is for non-tempered glass tho. I am one of few that hate the idea of covering glass with.... glass. Kind of an oxymoron in my eyes. Lol

Found one. Non-tempered glass, no orange peel feel, fits perfectly. 5$ on Amazon. Orzero LG V20 Screen Protector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GO1YXFQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3r5XybWYKE83Q
Here's photos of it installed.

Is it wet installation?
Also does come from side to side all the way? I just worry that might peel on the edges ones I put my case on.

Nope, dry install. If centered correctly upon installation, it is complete full coverage. My tip is to get a deep steam in your bathroom, and make sure your hands are clean. I have no lifting from my case and I got a case that the phone slides into. It has been perfect since install. Only 1 comes in package, but lifetime warranty. I highly recommend it.

Best TGSP for Pixel 2?

Hello all,
I'm looking for the best tempered glass screen protector for Pixel 2. I have looked through the List of Google Pixel 2 Screen Protectors and I have searched Amazon too, but the reviews are either fake-5-star-reviews, or generally poor reviews.
Can anyone recommend the best option for a Pixel 2 tempered glass screen protector?
Thank you
I have this one and it's the best IMHO and is case friendly. I can attach some pics for you tomorrow.

Spigen, take your time as it fits perfectly side to side on the visual part of the screen only.
Ia am using This glass and it's my third glas right now. 2 times saved my display.
It fits perfect, it is curved.

If you are looking for the best, whitestone dome is probably the way to go. It is expensive though. If you aren't worried about full adhesive and curved so it passes the edge of the display there are a lot more options. Spiegen is good for a lower cost option, but it only goes to the edge of the display and doesn't curve.
Thank you for all the suggestions. I'll definitely use one of these screen protectors

Quick question: do you (or does anyone on the forum) have one of these and can tell me if I can use it in combination with Google's fabric case?
(Also, I am currently in Germany. I can order one, but the translated text on the Amazon listing sounds like a scam. It also claims to "take away blue light". I want my display as intended, not blue-filtered.
FTR, I've been trying to get the "official" SP (Power Support) from the Google store, buy it isn't available in Germany.

I'm currently using one. I think it would fit the Google case, but I haven't tried. I've used it with an OtterBox symmetry, a speigen tpu, and with the moment case with no issues. It covers the full display but still leaves gaps on the edges.
I haven't noticed any significant blue light filtering but I did see that the description stated that. I can try to compare it against another Pixel 2 with a different screen protector and see.
Thanks, that would be nice of you if you could have a look at a second Pixel 2.
FTR, I turned off colour boosting, and really appreciate the near-natural colour provided by Google's OLED settings. I couldn't understand why people complained about the "faded" colours in the beginning. I bought this thing as a camera with a phone, and I want to see my photos as close to what I see while shooting them. Filtering blue light is a bit of a deal-breaker for the glass dome, if perceivable.
I've had 2 Whitestone Dome Glass protectors. The first had to be replaced when my phone slipped through the gap in my pull out couch and when trying to get out it slipped under one of the couch legs, crushing the screen (no screen protector will help in that case). The second came in today, after some back and forth with Whitedome trying to figure out why it was showing out of stock on Amazon, and I had to trash it less than an hour after opening it.
The first one was a hassle to install but once installed I really, really liked it. The second had a broken bottom piece for installation, causing an imbalance in the phone and I went through 3 (one left over from first install) adhesion tubes before I realized that was why a good bit was slipping over the edge of the phone and not across the display. When I realized what was going on I was kind of angry it even happened, wasn't paying much attention, and the protector cracked when I was removing it to try and clean up everything...
I either got lucky with the first or REALLY unlucky with the second, but either way I'm not buying another one. The installation process isn't exceedingly difficult, but it's just way too cumbersome for what it should be, costs too much, and just isn't worth the headache. Really disappointed in it. Luckily Amazon did me a solid and is letting me refund it.
That first was by far the best I found for TGSP's for the Pixel 2. I'm really hoping the Pixel 3 goes back to fully flat glass, not this "it's curved just enough at the edges to make it extra difficult for third parties to make screen protectors" crap.
Follow-up: I tried it and it works with the fabric case, there is stilla gap. @jppowers is right about the installation process, it is a buggerance. I had an air bubble, glue spilled under the protective sticker on the speaker and it was generally cumbersome.
There is some blue light filtering, which makes sense given that the glue is near-UV-polymerised, but my brain compensates this and I don't see it if not in direct comparison with a screen without the protector.

Hello,
Does this screen protector actually curves around the 2.5d edge of Pixel 2 or is it just that the edges are sloping to give a smoother feel when finger meets the edge of scren protector, but the actual contact surface side of scren proterctor is flat? Would be awesome if you could share close up pictures of this protector on your phone. I am wondering if this screen protector actually creates no ugly halo effect around the preimeter when applied?

Thank you this one looks interesting, tempted to buy one myself, but maybe you have idea why there is significant amount of dust stuck? Is protector not full adhesive? Could it be that due to contouring it is unable to stick to whole screen surface properly? Misapplied or high-dust environment?

Hey, I don't really know what could be the problem. At the beginning everything was OK, but later problem with dust appeared. I am in normal surroundings, with no extra dust. Office-house.
I bought, as reserve, from same guy foil protection also. Maybe it will be better.
When a screen protector only has glue on the edges the dust enters at the speaker openings. I'm still using my original Spigen Glass protector with zero dust since it adheres to the whole screen but doesn't cover the curved sides, the pack comes with 2 protectors and I will swap it out soon as the fingerprint resistance isn't the best anymore(but it's been almost a year).
Whitestone's Dome is definitely the best by far, but just as everyone else has mentioned, the installation process is a massive hemorrhoid. For what they charge they oughta include a professional in-home installation service.
I highly suggest to anyone who gets the Dome, set aside 2 hours, watch the videos online, prep your area, and be extremely patient. Also, make sure you've eaten and haven't had anything that will make you jittery or anxious like coffee, it will make the whole process much easier to handle and you'll be much less likely to fly into a rage if you run into issues.
Also, as mentioned by others, be sure to fully inspect your glass before you attempt to install it. There is a very thin film on the back of the glass to keep it from splintering in the event of a shatter, and sometimes they end up with bubbles between the glass and film during manufacturing. I went through both tubes of adhesive and a lot of frustration before I realized the bubble was not a personal application error but a flaw in the glass. Getting a replacement was no issue, but I still lost two hours and grumbled quite a few choice words.
Caveats aside, it's a superb full coverage TGSP.
