Where can I download the latest stock SM-T800 6.0.1 image to flash through ODIN? - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm in the US. I have the SM-T800 model. I've searched the forums here and I can't find any post with links to the stock 6.0.1 image that I can flash through ODIN. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Download the US Firmware here:
https://samsung-firmware.org/model/SM-T800/region/XAR/

Hi All,
I needed the stock SM-T800 US firmware recently to roll back one of our units, and the only link of the two above that worked was the sammobile link...and they wanted to charge for downloading it.
I looked around and finally found the back up I made years ago, and want to give back to xda for all the help you all have given me, so I'm posting a link to it here.
This backup was made however with TWRP, (version 3.2.3-0) so if you are a clever person and can extract the /BOOT /SYSTEM and /DATA directories from the TWRP backup files then you have found your no cost stock SM-T800 US version, Android 6.
If you want to install it using TWRP then:
1. You will have to have TWRP installed as your recovery.
2. You will need to know the serial number of your device as a 16 alpha/numeric number, NOT the serial number shown on the sticker on the back or your device, or what Android 6 shows in Settings.
Believe it or not, the stock ROM Android 6 shows the same 11 digit serial number in Settings as is on the sticker on the back of your device..which is logical. LineageOS 14 (Android 7) however, shows a 16 alpha/numeric number like I mention above as your serial number in Settings. As I mention above, the 16 digit serial number is what you will need to restore this stock ROM using TWRP.
The stock ROM (Android 6) as a TWRP backup can be downloaded at the link below:

What version of firmware are you running now?
You can find the stock recovery here.
If you are on Marshmallow now, you will need the 6.13.771.4 one, if on an earlier version of Android, match the first number and the 771 part.
Thanks for the reply. I'm on android 4.4.4, software number 3.32.771.10.
I'll look on page one now and see what I can find. Could anyone help me with the toolkit? I found a link for version 2 but it installed some Chinese virus on my PC!?

I can't help you with a toolkit, and usually recommend not to use them.
Nice one, thanks again. I'll give it a go without the toolkit, I haven't tried it that way yet but I'm sure I'll work it out ?

Samsung Tab 3 Kids - SM-T2105, Can i install normal rom instead of origional rom?

Hi,
i purchased the Samsung Tab 3, when i received it, it showed Tab 3 Kids! i wanted for my mom, but this one is very slow!
can i get rid of this kids rom, and install normal samsung tab 3 rom? on google, there are many types of the tab: SM-T210, 211 and others. does one of them will work?
and what shall i use: odin or CWM?
regard.
any response? thanks
First of all, you have to find out exactly which model of tab you have.....
Settings>>about device>>model number.
Then you have to go to sammobile dot com or samsung-updates dot com and download the corresponding firmware.
Then use Odin (not recovery/cwm) and a PC to flash it.

i know that, my question is: can i replace this Samsung kids firmware / rom with normal tab 3 rom?
This is why we need the model number. I didn't ask just for the fun of it. The model number will help us identify whether there is a normal firmware for it.
Edit....probably best to check which model it is in download mode....The existing firmware may have changed the info in 'about device' whereas the info in download mode can't be changed.

the model is SM-T2105, it's 7", 1G memory and 8G storage
bit.ly/1UzGO9D
sorry but i though that you know the model number or i have mentioned it before. sorry again.
Yes....you did mention the model number before, but I needed to know if what is displayed in download mode said something different...
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Labs
I am also interested in changing my daughters t2105 kids into a non-kids tablet (she is older now). I tried gr8noles nolekat for t210 but all i get are bootloops. A nice guide would be great if it is even possible?
Many Thanks, Lee.
To anybody posting in this thread.....
Contact Samsung....ask them if this tab is one of the standard (grown up) versions with a child friendly software package on it. If it is, find out which version of the tablet it is.....
Then flash a pit file with the correct software package. I can provide a link to where you can get the pit file, but until you get 100% accurate information as to WHICH TABLET IT IS, you DON'T want to start messing around with pit files.

A quick question: What options one must select in Odin when repairing firmware (not upgrading) : AutoReboot, F.reset Time, Repartitioning etc? And does one need a pit file to reflash the same firmware especially when one is have emmc read errors on reboot?
Thank you

Stock rom for Hungarian variant?

Hello,
So i wanna go back from 8.1 aosp to stock rom, but i saw these different firmware versions people are talking about on this site like v10f,k,h or something and i don't get what they mean. If i install the firmware from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/how-to/guide-how-to-flash-stock-firmware-lock-t3820888 , will it work? And is it the proper one? I had it installed once but only to get back from a bootloop, so I didn't really use it. Also, I checked on this website: https://www.mylgphones.com/lg-phones-software-update-hungary-download-lg-stock-kdz-firmware , i found the exact variant using my imei but there is no download link.

Hmmm...i would say don't rush unless you are sure.Maybe someone can help you.But in the past when i had sony (all sony categorie ) device u can flash any customized firmware version of countries of stock firmware as long you have UNLOCKED device. Not sure for lg.Please wait until someone guide you. Also please check link in this thread maybe it has what you need.(under kdz folder).
V10 b,f,k etc are system versions. Like program versions 1.2, 1.3, etc. There are 2 ways of going back to stock. You can use LG bridge to reinstall stock. Just reboot to download mode (reboot, USB , vol+). LG bridge should automatically detect the phone and allow you to update/go back to stock

Ok thank you, but i would like to make a full rom backup of the aosp i currently have installed. I don't think i can use twrp cause last time i flashed it, it bootlooped (even with the persistent version) and i had to reflash the boot img etc. I read about making a nandroid backup ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818321 ) with adb and dd but i would have to backup the entire memory and restore it and i would like not to mess with protected bootloader partitions for example. And i don't know exactly which partitions i want to backup with the method described above bcs there are partitions like recovery-persist and recovery-refresh and i don't know which are the right ones. Is there a way to do it?

Question I need help to root tcl pro 20 5g

Dear XDA forum users,
I am reaching out to ask for your help with rooting my TCL 20 Pro 5G phone. I have been trying to download a file that supposedly contains a ROM for my phone, from which I could extract the boot.img file needed for the rooting process. However, the link I have been provided with is showing a message saying "Forbidden", and I am unable to access it.
If anyone could provide me with a working link or guide me through an alternative method to obtain the boot.img file, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,

I'll tell you what happened with my attempts. I downloaded the software, but it's in a .tctbin file format and I have no idea how to open it. None of the guides I found on the internet worked, so the only option left for me is to use a cable and the black box at the back of my phone where the partitions are located
the link you have shared is android 12 beta I assume, do not flash it to your phone, it works but has some issues especially fast battery drain and overheating problems. You can fallow this thread anayway
Flash TCL Firmware TPST Tool / Includes links to Official FW
(I can not take credit for this, copied from their site- however) see links for official flashing tools & directions and here are complete firmware links to official firmware: FIRMWARE Ottawa 3CI1.tctbin (9.1G) - (Android 11)...
forum.xda-developers.com
anyone have an idea how to unlock the bootloader on my tcl 20 pro 5g?
