I tested Dolby Atmos™ Axon 7 Oreo port
Standard 20180219 -
- Expiration met for the Dolby Atmos
Demo Video component after confirmation
of its lack for volume support indicated a
native "bug" and not a porting shortcoming.
- A reduction of 67MB, uncompressed, now
totaling 15.49MB uncompressed, without
the Dolby Atmos Demo Video component.
- Abandonment of the recently introduced
libsurround_proc.so library (suspect of recent
audio unpleasantness) from the Nokia
6 Official Oreo build that was paired with
that same firmware's Dolby Surround Sound
Settings' menu as an additional apk that is
currently still included and still in its trial
period.
- SUBSTANTIAL adjustments, additions, and
improvements to every script - installation
and boot scripts, the most comprehensive
update for this shell component thus far.

Working fine for me now , The issue was with the SELinux magisk module , I just completely removed it and reboot , everything works fine now

So, I did a fresh rom install;
I then installed magisk, through magisk I installed the SElinux permissive script(v1.2), and proceeded to flash dolby atmos.
But still... It force closes...

I tried it on both A-ONE 8.0 - OPR1.170623.026 Jan, and 7.12.29 - OPR1.170623.026.
But the result is the same

There is a step that did not work properly because before posting this thread I installed and reinstalled this module several times and it worked perfectly

I've read that Dolby Atmos crashes on March security patched ROMs and even I faced on RR OS. I'm back on LOS, but I'm afraid to flash this module. Will it crash or there's updated module?

Didn't worked for me on march update
Tried with latest magisk 16.0 and even tried with 15.3
Have common modules installed such as ARstickers one, camera2api and eis enabler, google lens , selinux enabler v1.2

I can assure you that this version works perfectly on rom stock I installed it a good dozen times before switching to Pixel Experience rom ...
If you have permissive selinux v1.2 to install correctly I do not see what can disturb the proper functioning ...

It is flashed successfully in twrp (3.2.1) and can be seen in the app drawer but when I open it, it keeps stopping even though the other apps like google camera is also working so probably selinux is fine, but I've faced issues with selinux before too and that time i had to restart my phone 3-4 times to fix the issue.
Any solutions?

My advice would be that you make a clean installation of your rom and install only permissive selinux v1.2 magisk before of course and flash DA standard version ...:good:
Just want to sharing some alternative to making our D6603 sounds boom... and seems can implement to other phone because all of components that i have installed are universal (wish work on all phone other than D6603), just try it but don't blame me
After fighting about 2 weeks to getting DOLBY (effect) including VIPER4 in my D6603 with latest CARBON Rom, finally i found an alternative for that.
Because when i try to install Dolby Atmos (standard/unity) always "unsuccessful", installed but no app in drawer that made me headache
My phone configuration :
- Magisk 17.1 + init.d injector
- SELinux permissive.
- AML and ACP installed. Get in here (for supersu seems AML modul not necessary because the installer will search magisk directory, so you just need ACP modul)
- Viper4 FX from here
- DOLBY DIGITAL PLUS for 8.x (i found in somewhere at XDA, thanks already make it work on OREO :good: really appreciate it)
Step: i am installing all components below via TWRP (you can try with your own way)
1. DDP.
2. VIPER4FX. (to escape from Viper4 FX asking the driver installing repeatedly, please install it after DDP or other sound mod.)
3. ACP (additional).
4. AML (essential), better doing at last because will detect and patching audio module on DDP and VIPER4 for compatibility.
On each step i do reboot then back again to TWRP (only want to making sure the components already installed).
When all done let try boot to system and open Viper4 (check the driver is installed or no), next playing the music, the lasting is open DDP to getting more bass. ENJOYING your music.
Noted: for compatibility reason i remove musicfx/audiofx from system. please do backup first.
Results :
- Phone speaker, WORK.
- Headset, WORK.
- Bluetooth speaker, WORK.
- Jack 3.5, WORK.
Playing music via Spotify and internal player all work.
If it work on different Phone than OP, please report back. Would be appreciate it.

Correct. Just flashing all packages, and i suggest you to install Viper4 at the end (if you prefer)

DDP need permissive mode, will set by dolby.sh in init.d
If your rom doesn't have init.d but you use Magisk, just copy dolby.sh to /sbin/.core/img/.core/ service.d or post-fs-data.d
Viper4 can work on enforcing mode.

Why not try it and report back
For supersu i think you just need DDP, ACP, VIPER4 and making sure your init.d and permissive are work.
Those modules can install on Magisk or System.

In my opinion, this DPP actually can running on 5.x-8.x firmware with supersu/magisk. See this video to confirm on 5.x ...sorry, no idea probably the issue came from stock rom.

DDP doesn't work on all 8.x firmware & works on older android, it might work for you but not everyone, thus it was said in Arise thread that DDP won't work on all 8.x, init.d & su.d works here.
Im using redmi 4x with latest aex oreo rom
- works on speaker
- DDP crashes sometimes
- when using headset both DDP and Viper doesnt works on spotify and music player, but in youtube or other video player it works well.

I tried multiple times, miui eu 11.0.2.0, with a clean install at the end, without an account and any backup, different versions of magisk, ect. 1 or 2 sim card.
With one, one sim card work, when I installed the Viper with 2 sim, stop working both.
Maybe I'll be lucky with some new version. The Viper is my favorite.
Search for a zip called clean+soundmod.zip.it will remove any audio mod that might create conflict.flash it ftom twrp then repeat the procedure again as mentioned

Problem with magisk_selinux_manager_v1.0.zip
If use 2 SIM they stop working.
Viper working with setenforce 0 in terminal.

I have noticed . Selinux manager module when flashed through latest magisk .It Doesn't work ,so if possible flash it through older version magisk 20.0 or earlier version .After that you can update your magisk to latest.

I tried with magisk 19 and the problem is the same.
I also have a problem with SIM cards, when install magisk_selinux_manager_v1.0.zip with permissive, only when I take out one SIM card GSM works, when two are not working, no registered cards in mob, if install with enforceing is ok, that's weird. It is no problem for me to use the terminal, it is also safer for the system, it may be safer not to be in permissive mode all the time.

Redskull mods on tg has made a simple magisk module to do this now. Search on telegram for his modsmy method still works his module is simpler for users though
In order to get dolby atmos working on A11 you will need to download the apk, then open it. Next you will need to disable soundtuner service via adb like like in a10 or use service disabler app. Then reboot
ADB - "adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.oneplus.sound.tuner"
Service Disabler (Playstore) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kunkunsoft.rootservicedisabler
Also you will need edexpoaed and corepatch module activated

Magisk hide props, currently non for our device, I just got this phone need to play to wlsee which one works. And then safety net pass in edexpoaed will report back later if I figure out which prop

I used magisk props and selected op8pro with my variant a10. Rebooted and wiped all google apps cache and data then rebooted again and went back into props and selected reset all option and rebooted again.(don't know if this partially fixed it or not. Then I downloaded the latest magisk canary and updated in magisk app. You have to delete old magisk apk before installing the canary apk. I then rebooted and went into magisk and hid the app (renamed it). Then I enabled magisk hide and selected all apps that contain google. Then here is proof it passed. Also I have core patch and Hidden core module enabled in exposed and in exposed settings I have these enabled.
Does this work on non-rooted phones?

I did did you open the app before running command then reboot, also did you install the two exposed modules I posted?
I’m kinda new to magisk/exposed, don’t know which modules exactly to install.. when I opened the installed dolby before executing command it also crashes.
Can someone make a zip file that can be flashed with Magisk? It would be much appreciated

Has anyone here been able to use some Magisk module or any other way to enable Dolby Atmos on these phones? I've tried 3 or so different Atmos Magisk modules now and every one of them froze the phone on either the Google logo or on the boot animation (and I had to manually reflash, remove the module files and reinstall Magisk).
The three I've tried already:
some random one from the forums (author hellboy017, for 1+ 8 series) - I don't remember where I got it from anymore
Dolby Atmos Magic Revision
Dolby Atmos Razer Phone 2
None of these worked. By the way I'm not running stock but Evolution X instead - latest build of it. I don't think it matters but I mentioned just in case it does.
I'd like to get Atmos working because I got a 3mo trial of Apple Music which supports Atmos but not on Pixels. My $300 Samsung supports it...

Well, I installed porting Moto G52 dolby and it's working in my Pixel 6 pro.

Using Magisk Delta? I tried installing it multiple ways - direct install, recovery sideload, patching boot image with and without uninstalling normal Magisk before, but I get the same issue - the EvoX boot animation stops after a few seconds, then it resumes after a few seconds and this goes on without booting... Tried ADB to get some insight but windows says that the device couldn't be recognized.

Yes, I use Magisk Delta but stock A13 ROM with May security patch.

1. Install Moto Core in Magisk Manager(https://www.pling.com/p/1978575/)
2. Install G52 in Magisk Manager(https://www.pling.com/p/1908400/)
3. If you have multi audio mod, remeber to install AML(https://www.pling.com/p/1981006/)
4. Install this EQ profile patch in Magisk Manager(https://djxmaza.in/when-to-hoard-and-cash-out-in-crypto-trading/)

Why don't you think it's not right ?
That version is the mod of AML to make it more compatible with multi audio mod in your phone.
