Enabled WiFi Calling on Lumia 950DS for T-Mobile. - Windows 10 Mobile

I took off the file required due to missing registry entrys. will repackage the files needed and upload a new version. stay tuned.
Hey guys, attached is the file required to unlock VoLTE and WiFi-Calling on the Lumia 950DS and Lumia 950 (Att) for T-Mobile. Before attempting these step, you will first unlock Mass Storage mode, using HeathCliff74's method using wpinternals here.
If you need VoLTE and WiFi calling enabled on the Lumia 950XL's take a look at nate0's work here.
Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk. I am not responsible for damage incurred to your mobile device for these modifications. If you have problems, you can always replace the modified file with the originals and then use WDRT to reflash the NVI settings.
Things to Know:
-For the DUAL SIM Models, I turned off the 2nd SIM slot from displaying in the upper left corner as I do not use it. SO DO NOT USE THIS METHOD POSTED HERE IF YOU NEED THE 2ND SIM SLOT WORKING.
-Also, another limitation right now for this method is, the 5GHz Wi-fi Calling in "WIFI ONLY" mode currently does not work, but the 2.4GHz works for now in WiFi ONLY. I am still working on this, but because of school, i haven't had much time to look into this seeing how it's my last semester. The rest of the stuff should work perfectly, Cellular Prefered, Wifi preferred, Wifi Calling OFF with IMS registration, etc...
After successfully unlocking mass storage, boot to mass storage mode and replace the following files with the ones attached in the zip file.
1. Back up the entire ADC folder in \PROGRAMS\CommonFiles
2. Back up the modemconfiguration.cab file in \PROGRAMS\CommonFiles\OEM\Public\MMO\Multivariant
After backing up the files in Steps 1 and 2:
3. Delete the ADC folder in \PROGRAMS\CommonFiles and replace it with the ADC folder from the attached zip file.
4. Copy and replace the modemconfiguration.cab file from \PROGRAMS\CommonFiles\OEM\Public\MMO\Multivariant with the modemconfiguration.cab from the zip file.
5. Copy the MO_VoWiFi_Operator_Name_15818.dll file to \Windows\System32\ folder.
6. Restart the phone out of mass storage and wait for the prompt to restart your phone for a network update.
Thanks to HeathCliff74 for his awesome work with WPInterals and nate0 for findings on the Lumia 950XL's.

Cool. I found a method that worked for this for me on the XL model here. Use what you need from that if you want to make a guide...

So both americans....

Ok, i'll take a look thanks . Quick question thought, when you successfully unlocked VoLTE, when your in a call, did you have to set the HD Voice string manually? because for some reason the HD Voice string variable doesn't show up, even with the ims registration confirmed for the voice call.

No. It was provisoned already I belive from the ADC files I replaced. That key is burried somewhere in one of those files.
I am curious, how stable is your WiFi calling? VoLTE works flawlessy for me, on occassion I get kicked off of ims registration before a call, but it comes back (probably signal related). But I have it enabled without Wifi calling, meaning the modem file I use does not enable wifi calling... I ask because I could not find the final entries for the nvi file to make VoLTE and WiFi calling both work reliably, at least from my perspective...

I haven't been able to extensively test the configuration yet, but I used the mcfg_sw/hw from the Alcatel Idol 4s files to strip out its modem settings, then recreate then in the nvi format. i just finished enabling the volte now im looking into the hd voice string.

Ah nice. I used the 640 LTE tmobile nvi files....Yours might be better off since it is built more for W10M...Gonna keep an eye on this thread. Let me know if you need anything.

I have an Idol 4S if you need help. I really wish the 810 would work

Any update? Steps taken? Its great you got it working, but post the deets man!

Sorry about the wait. I uploaded the work that has been done so far. Haven't been able to continue with unlocking the 5ghz in WiFi Only mode because of school schedule so I posted what I have for now. Have fun .

I have a Lumia 810 but unfortunately, i kind of took it apart for a reason unknown, it was a wonderful phone. It shouldn't be too hard to get WiFi Calling and VoLTE working on it if wpinternals works on it.

Problem is, it doesnt do LTE, it has hardly any bands and none that are actually 4G Also, ive never been able to unlock it because i cant find the emergency files (i think its those), but havent tried with the 2.4 version yet.

Ok, so i followed your directions and after rebooting out of mass storage, i get the gears screen over and over and over. I do get the MS start image, but then gears and rebooting again. The progress bar doesnt move on the gear screen though.

@Talon Pro
You can access the full filesystem of the 950 or 950 XL using the sftp method. I have been using that since long before we had mass storage publicly available and it works well. Use swish sftp which integrates in windows explorer and directions from this guide here
In a nut shell:
Gain access to the file systems using Interop Tools app.
- In Interop Tools go the SSH--Account Manager and add an account. The account user name should be System.
- Tap the account System so it is highlighted and then tap templates to use.
- Tap enable full file system access with sftp. Then go to the template options and hit the authentication drop down setting it to password.
- Add the password (4 digit pin of your choice).
- Once your phone is on wifi, add an SFTP Connection under Swish. Set the user to system. Set the path to /c/. Once added double click it, trust the key, and login with the pin you set. Explorer will open with your phones files. The guide above is a bit more detail and additional info on sftp file system access made by snickler if you need.

Accessing the files wasnt an issue, but how do i get it out of the boot loop cycle now? WPI cant see it even.
Nvm, i was able to force it into flash mode (up, down and power) and then reboot and WPI saw and grabbed it locked the boot loader and im back into windows and it wants to restart to do the install.

There is always a risk to unlocking a boot loader and enabling mass storage mode for Windows phones using Heathcliff74's tools, so it is good to know at least there is alternate way to access the file system on the 950 if we have to.

Now that im back in, neither SIM works at all.

Hi there, which phone are you currently attempting this on? I remember something similar happened to me. I can try and recreate the problem later today after classes and I'll get back to you. I believe the steps included flashing the CustomerNVI file for the model via thor2 that fixed your issue. If you need your know back working asap, you can always replace the files and then restore the NVI data via thor2:
thor2 -mode uefiflash -ffufile "FFU FIle for your phone.ffu" -do_full_nvi_update -do_factory_reset -skip_flash -reboot

[Q] Passing Chevron WP7 from NoDo to Mango on Samsung Focus

I've been following on the Mango upgrades and whatnot, since I just recently upgraded my Samsung Focus to Mango. However, I have yet to see a way to pass ChevronWP7 to a Samsung WP7. I know with LGs you can use the MFG regedit, and with HTCs you can use this xml method found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101344
Is anyone anywhere working on a way to pass ChevronWP7 from NoDo to Mango on a Samsung device? I just want some confirmation, because I'd love to use Mango to it's fullest extent. Thanks guys!

can you please provide us with a guide or the steps you used to upgrade your focus
i checked several threads here, but was unable to upgrade & kept getting an error message: " no devices were found"
I made this post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15329491&postcount=5
Your device needs to already be dev unlocked and in NODO!!
Someone else has confirmed that you need diagnosis version is 1122.
1. Make a backup of your device. You can use my app for that if you wish: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103011
1.1 - Make a backup
1.2 - Make a backup
1.3 - Make a backup!!!!
Get the point? you CAN NOT get the official Mango update when its released without reverting to NODO so MAKE A DAMN BACKUP! I personally have 4 backups just in case!
2. I installed this unlock.xml: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15316160&postcount=9
3. Install WP7 Root Toosl by Heathcliff .5 alpha from his thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021135
4. Load the root tools and using the explorer create a directory called provxml in the root of the drive if it doesnt already exist.
5. Using the root tools copy unlock.xml file from: Applications\Install\D19A80F2-1717..... (you may have to browse folders in that path) to the provxml folder at the root of the device. (I apologize but I don't know the exact path I believe it starts in the root but I would have to revert to nodo to know for sure as the root tools don't work in mango.
6. *OPTIONAL TEST* Once that file is there you can test it to be sure it works like I did by changing one of the unlock reg keys and applying the XML to confirm it changes back. I used the root tools registry editor part to browse to: "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\DeviceReg" I changed the value "PortalUrlProd" by adding random text as it should be clear/empty/null. Then I applied the xml by going to the diagnosis tools from my shortcut or by going to the phone app and then the keypad and typing: ##634#. Once in Diagnosis enter: *#9908# to get to the GPRS profiles. Tap the dropdown and you should see unlock in your list. Select unlock and then save at the bottom. It only takes a second and says success in the window below the dropdown. Now exit diagnosis and use the root tools again to confirm the registry value you set before is now cleared/empty/null. If that works you can proceed with confidence.
7. Perform the 2 step mango update from this link: http://windowsphonehacker.com/articles/get_the_mango_update_now._without_being_a_developer.-06-30-11
8. Once updated and in mango apply the xml by: going to the diagnosis tools from a shortcut or by going to the phone app and then the keypad and typing: ##634#. Once in Diagnosis enter: *#9908# to get to the GPRS profiles. Tap the dropdown and you should see unlock in your list. Select unlock and then save at the bottom. It only takes a second and says success in the window below the dropdown. Again diagnosis version 1122 is needed for this to work.
One word of warning. I had to reconfigure the APN to get network to work but I still couldnt receive MMS. So in the end I read that to get it set up you have to reset the phone and let the configuration steps set up network profile. I wasnt about to do that so I called AT&T and said I was going to another country and needed my unlock code to put a sim card in from there and they gave it to me. They said I needed another carrier SIM to input it. Instead I went to diagnosis and entered: #7465625*638*# That brought me to the Network Lock screen. I made sure disabled was checked and entered the unlock code they gave me on the phone in the NCK section and tapped execute. That unlocked my phone which let me use the samsung network profile tool available form the samsung marketplace (only on phone) to select the ATT (not AT&T) profile. Actually I toggled to AT&T then back to ATT and everything worked!
Yup.... What he said!!!
Mango on my Focus is awesome. I didn't do the unlock though because that tutorial came after I upgraded to mango. Now I'm too scared to do it again. And frankly, the whole process takes forever. In the end, it's worth it!!! I just need a working registry editor now because I'm back to that stupid 16-bit colors!!! I hate it.
It's not necessary to make a back-up if you just don't care about the data. Simply install an OEM ROM from the carrier of your choice on the Samsung Focus. I have several phones and just figured *meh* who cares - I'll reinstall the apps I want and just lose my game saves (please let cloud game saves come to WP7 soon!!)
This of course doesn't address the unlock issue. My hope is soon we get a non-branded ROM for the Samsung Focus sooner rather than later so I can finally resolve the MMS issues.
As far as unlocking I have given up for the time being. May just buy a Chevron unlock...
I'm not having MMS issues on mine. Just the damn 16-bit color limit. All the gradients are chopped. I want the 24-bit back. It's just a small registry hack! Why can't samsung or AT&T update it.

Odd I havent tested it with the diag screen but I still occassionaly get the "Red screen" on boot up which is a symptom of the color change hack.

Get At&T settings back the easy way
Instead of going through the pain with At&T this will fix the AT&T settings after you are done wit the unlock. from the diagnosis app
g_AutoSimSetting : 40*047#3, *#94765#

Interesting... so it disables then re-enables the auto-sim setting? Should we do the reboot in the middle that it asks for?

Thank you very much
worked wondefully
3G data internet was not working at first but works great after manually choosing ATT from network profile app
MMS issues don't exist anymore if you install the Samsung Tools XAP. Even if you upgrade to Mango after, some remnants remain from the unlock, and one of those is the expanded MMS settings this tool gives (my phone is locked after mango because I didnt do this hack, but my MMS, 3G, and custom live tile colors still work....)

One important observation:
Diagnose v922 does NOT see Unlock.xml , thus you can't apply the GPRS profile. You need to update to v1122.
To get Diagnose v1122, you need to re-brand your phone back to the original carrier. In my case it was:
HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\MobileOperator = "ATT-US"
After that, I got a Samsung update (updated radio+sw) in Zune, and with it I also got the diagnose v1122.
If you still get Diagnose v922 after the "Samsung Update", then delete Diagnose app and run *#634# and Diagnose will be updated.
Another word of warning.
This is a BETA Mango update.
I just tried it and my Focus and after the update it got stuck at Samsung logo. However, it can be fixed, read my post here.
Might have to do with SD card I use (16 GB Class 2) but I doubt it as I didn't have any issues in over 5 months, updates 7004 to 7392.
Upgraded a Focus once and then got locked out. Updated again and when I do the Diagnosis then *#9908# and select unlock, it says Loading GPRS Profile for unlockProvision and then nothing. Same happened with the last upgrade so now I worried that I'm only a little time away from getting locked again.

I think it worked. I did the extra step 6, and I've tested with the "PortalUrlProd" value before the actual update and it was reset. Same as you, I got the "Loading GPRS profile..." message and nothing else. But it worked.

Btw, can someone make a xap with Diagnose 1122, please? Rogers firmware doesn't seem to get the "Samsung Update" that installs v1122, and I'm stuck with default v927... Or give any pointers how to get the new Diagnose
I'm pretty sure that if I flash the AT&T fw I'll get v1122, but I like Rogers rom better (mine is originally an AT&T Focus).

I'm pretty sure that if I flash the AT&T fw I'll get v1122, but I like Rogers rom better (mine is originally an AT&T Focus).

I got it somewhere else on here, didnt need it though:
Is there any way to get the updated diagnosis app on Omnia 7? (Optus Australia, build 7392)
That XAP won't allow me to sideload for some reason, and even if it did, that won't help me after I get into Mango.

[primoc]method to gain your nv keys for backup

k guys, this thread is coming about after respectfully moving the discussion from kalaker's s-off thread.
i've been looking for a while about how to back up my nv keys for data, just in case anything happens to my one v. this is thanks to New Optimus (for steps 8-10) and jmztaylor, who informed me the open sesame door trick works. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR HOW SOME MAY USE THIS. open sesame door trick has the potential to screw your phone up if you dont do it right, or delete an nv item.
CDMA ONLY (i dont think gsm works the same way anyway)
YOU ARE NOT MODIFYING ANYTHING. All you are doing is backing up your AAA and HA keys. they are used to identify and register your device's data on the VM network. IF YOU MODIFY ANYTHING, ITS YOUR FAULT IF YOU SCREW IT UP.
step 1:
download and install qpst. im not linking to the file, you should be able to find it easily enough by googling it.
step 2:
open up qpst configuration, and let it sit in the background for a minute. install the htc diag drivers for one v from here: http://www.htc.com/www/support/
look for the one v, and download and install the HTC Sync program which will install all the drivers you need.
step 3:
close out of htc sync once its installed, its an annoying program anyway. connect your phone, make sure adb debugging is enabled in developer options in settings. open the dialer, type in ##3424# (##diag#) and a screen will come up that says on and off, with select at the bottom. click on, then select, and it will ask you for your msl code.
note: your msl code can be obtained by a app in market called MSL Reader, you need root for this. follow the prompts in the app, its easy enough to do.
step 4:
after entering your msl code and entering diag mode, go back into qpst configuration. click on "add new port" toward the bottom right, and make sure when the window opens "COMx- USB/QC Diagnostic" is selected and click ok. qpst configuration should now recognize your phone as SURF-MSM7830. if it doesnt, update your version of qpst.
step 5:
in qpst configuration, click on "Start Clients- EFS Explorer". make sure you put your msl in the box that says spc, and click ok. a please wait window will pop up, it will only take a few seconds.
from New Optimus's post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29951978&postcount=796
8. Once the phone reads completely make a new directory named (open sesame door) without the parentheses and all lower case
9. After making the new folder locate abd.exe from the android sdk install folder and press: start, run and type cmd then press enter you will get a command prompt window that opens up navigate to the android sdk directory and type; adb reboot, the phone should then reboot if you’ve done as you were supposed to.
10. After the phone reboots read it again with QPST EFS Explorer which still should be opened, you will notice that the red no access circle has been removed from the nvm directory so expand it and go to the num directory,

left click and drag 465, 466, 1192 and 1194 to your desktop.
keep 465,466, 1192 and 1194 in a safe spot, they are how you have data on your phone. if something happens to your HOV and those are gone, good luck getting data back.
Quick noob question, do these files get generated by the carrier when you activate the phone?

Got sooo excited when I saw this. Used to switch firmware's on my optimus v with the firmware of the optimus s, and use optimus s roms. Had all of my nv data and everything else backed up. Forgot you have to have be on an aosp rom for this to work because you need a port. -_- I don't have a stock backup and right now I'm tethering, so it'd take awhile to download a stock backup. Guess I'll have to wait a week or so.
nvm, I found a backup. I tried it out, and i got to the qpst efs explorer. I did the open sesame door, and it unlocked the nvs, but I only had a couple of the files from the list. I did not have 465 or 466. Also, I had an issue when I tried to recognize the phone. It did recognize the phone in diag mode with the port, but not as surfmsm7830. I have the most updated version of qpst.
I'll have to check what version I'm running of qpst, I know its close to the newest if not the newest. It wouldn't recognize my phone correctly until I had a new enough copy.
Also the first time I tried the open sesame door trick, I too had the limited nv items. I used the ruu to go back to stock, and once I did that the open sesame folder dir survived the ruu and unlocked the rest of the nv items.
Hope that helps.
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
What version of QPST are you using for this? I get an error "Online connection failure: Unspecified error" when trying to connect.
I think my phone isn't getting read properly by QPST because under phone it says "(unknown)" even though the other fields fill in correctly.
CDMA Workshop reads my phone no problem, but this thing no luck.
EDIT: Found an updated build and it displays the specified info under phone. Not sure what the lowest working version is, but v2.7 build 323 will not read it, build 366 will though.

Stopping Hands Free Activation!

My friend Jeremy helped me with getting rid of the "Hands Free Activation" pop-up and I thought I would share it. It especially comes in handy when you are flashed to another carrier. If you are on one of the new custom ZVB Roms you probably don't have to worry about it. All you have to do is:
1) Get a Root File Browser .... I like Rom Tool Box
2) Go to "System" folder
3) Go to "App" folder .... (not Apps)
4) Scroll down and find "OmaDmclient.apk" and rename it to "OmaDmclient.bak"
5) Reboot and you should not get that aggravating ass pop up any more
:silly::laugh:
I hope I've helped someone because a lot of people have damn sure helped me!

PP
3G data speeds (HOW TO)
This guide is to get evdo data or 3g data speeds on phones flashed to page plus cellular this is not a beginers guide by no means this guide is assuming both spc codes are set to 000000.
things you will need:
1.A donor phone of your own that will ota program and one that you can swap the esn number to that of the target phone. I used a samsung i500
2.Target phone that you own
3.qpst and dfs 4.0.0.4 demo
4.drivers for both phones
Pre-Setup:
1.pull battery out of the target phone and LEAVE it out
2.place that esn number on the donor phone
3.Deactivate then reactivate the target phones esn number
4.OTA program the donor phone that has the swapped esn number on it.
5.Verify that 3g speeds are working on the donor phone
Phase 1:
1.Place donor phone in diagnostic mode and plug into computer
2.Open qpst configuration add the port
3.Go to start clients then efs explorer
4.Open the DMU folder and copy the 10.key file to your computer then exit qpst
Phase 2:
1.Open DFS and select the port that the phone is on
2.Send the spc you should see a device unlocked message in the log.
3.Go to the programming tab then the nam tab and read that page.
4.Read the Data tab and Mobile IP tab as well.
5.Do not close the dfs tab
6.Revert esn back to normal or smash the donor phone into a lot of pieces
Final Phase: (Non-Verizon and Sprint)
1.Power on target phone and place in diagnostic mode and plug into computer
2.Open qpst configuration add the port
3.Go to start clients then efs explorer
4.Now on the Left side of the efs explorer right click the screen go to new and directory
5.Name the directory "DMU" without the quotation marks then place the 10.key file into that directory by drag and drop then exit qpst
6.Now go back into dfs do not add the target phone yet and go to mobile ip nothing else on the screen should change
7.Now select the port the target phone is on in dfs and send the spc code
8.Write the nam tab to target phone after verifing it doesnt say home only then go to data tab and check the box next to pwd on the ppp section only which will change the pwd to hex format then write the data tab
9.Go to the mobile ip tab and right click the red stop sign looking thing on the second bubble and enable it and set active profile to 1 then click "write current profile settings" and click the write button on the left side of the screen
10.Now go back to the Nam tab and load the prl file I prefer using 00002 but you can experiment
Final Phase: (Verizon 4gLTE)
1.Power on target phone and place in diagnostic mode and plug into computer
2.Open qpst configuration add the port
3.Go to start clients then efs explorer
4.Now on the Left side of the efs explorer right click the screen go to new and directory
5.Name the directory "DMU" without the quotation marks then place the 10.key file into that directory by drag and drop then exit qpst
6.Now go back into dfs do not add the target phone yet
7.Now select the port the target phone is on in dfs and send the spc code
8.Write the nam tab to target phone after verifying it doesn't say home only then go to data tab and check the box next to pwd on the ppp section only which will change the pwd to hex format then write the data tab
9.Go to the mobile ip tab click "write current profile settings" and click the write button on the left side of the screen
10.Now go back to the Nam tab and load the prl file i recommend 00002 but experiment with what you want and reboot phone and enjoy
Having issues try getting 1x first on lte phones you will need a sim card unactivated by verizon and it should pop up after a minute or two should never take longer than 15 minutes the first time
make sure you have it set to nv only on lte handsets.
Need a guide for a specific model name it I'll write it for you step by step for a small fee.
Note I have not tested this on any apple product so cannot support them.
Between getting 1x and then going to target phone must be on airplane mode after esn on account is switched back

Did MS block access to SYSTEM folder??

Forgive me if this has already been found/fixed/forgotten, but it's been a while since I've actually even tried it. In File Explorer, when tapping on my trusty old Local Disk C shortcut nothing happens anymore ☹ I don't know if it's been blocked or not, but it's been at least 3 or 4 builds since I've even desired going into the system folder. Even my AOW Shortcuts aren't anymore, but instead they give an error saying the directory couldn't be found and would I like to delete the shortcut. Maybe MS finally removed the AoW bits from the recent builds, but that doesn't explain why the Local Disk C shortcut does nothing.
I'm running the latest Insider Slow build 14342.1004.
its "blocked" since 10586.107. but you can still access all folders on pc with enabling full fs access or using sftp (with vcreg or interop tools etc)

Ahh, I figured this was the case. I don't care for the FS Access thing on pc. Last time I enabled that I could *barely* get my phone to connect to the pc. On average it took 15 minutes to connect, but eventually it stopped altogether. I had to hard reset to fix it.
yep, same here. connectes fine but takes ages to appear in the explorer. but in that case you could use sftp access. simply get the interop tools and activate it (you might need to reset the ndtksvc.dll manually, vcreg has a button for it though iirc), read the tutorials about it. you need the old android bridge tools to get the private key (and convert it with puttygen to use it with pageant) and keep it paired to be able to connect with winscp for example
Last .1004 fast ring build connect my phone with full mtp acces in less 1 minute.

Unlock network bands, enable voLTE and 5G on nonsupported countries

Hi,
Other phone models can use EFS Tool, QPST tool to do all the mentioned tasks.
And some phones to do that requires rooting phone since they dont have Engineering mode, and some with Engineering mode support doesnt need rooting to use the mentioned tools for example OnePlus phone.
So my question, does LG phone also has this thing called Engineering mode? since LG wing is not supported for bootloader unlocking by LG yet.
Anyone has more experience with LG phone and perhaps the mentioned tool can shed some lights on the concern? Thanks.
Goid app. Well made
on LM-F100EMW,
1) use dialer code #*462633*#100#
2) go to Field Test > LTE Data Test > Tethering Mode, and select QMICM
3) go all the way back to first menu and go to SVC Menu> Port Check Test> Port Check Test and select enable
after that I am able to connect QPST. I used EFS explorer to fix CA-combos and carrier policy for my region/provider.
After doing your work, revert the changes to have a regular USB connection!!
for VOLTE first try to
1) make a new file or folder with name "enable_ue" (without quotes) on your phone's internal storage.
2) use dialer code #*462633*#100#
3) go to Field Test> Universal Enabler > Create New Config , enable VoLTE and confirm.
to add VOLTE indicator next to battery and signal strength on notification bar
1) use dialer code #*462633*#100#
2) go to Field Test > GPRI VoLTE/VoWiFi > IMS> select Sim Slot > Registration > VoLTE > and enable VoLTE Indication.
after all these

For volte i didnt change anything from EFS.
The changes i did in EFS was to add 5G for any carrier, because my carrier was not supported, and also to take the CA string from another phone's firmware, that my carrier has good support, and paste it where the outdated ca string was inside my wing's EFS.

Where are you located and what condition is your phone in? I've got an AT&T branded phone but I'm on TMO...maybe we can switch!
When I go to field menu in my Lg Wing, I go to IMS settings, it is completely blank. Someone please help me in registering the Volte in my Lg Wing. I am already rooted by able to patch the stock boot.img using magisk. My phone came with an unlocked bootloader and its the European firmware. I am trying to use this phone in Asia (Malaysia). Surprisingly, when I got the phone from the seller, it was not enabled volte but IMS settings in field menu would also show up (unlike now when I go there and it is blank), and also surprisingly, my volte worked also but by mistake I formatted my phone and after that it never worked. I then tried to flash the stock firmware and did root, installed voenabler but nothing seems to be helping.
I even tried loading mbn files of different carriers via PDC but no help. IMS settings always stay blank and volte doesn't get activated. Such a good phone but not able to work because my carrier here only supports volte.
If someone has an interest in helping, will be great.
