i'm facing a challenge - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

dear all,
i have an m8 and i have been forgotten my pattern and the tab recover through my acc isn't available and my volume down is broken so i want you to help me get my data without formatting the mobile and unlocking my mobile

Your bootloader is unlocked?
You have usb debugging activated and can access it through adb?
If both no then you can't recover your data.

Bypass lg g3 knock lock ?

I sold a g3 to a scammer but recently got it back and i want to unlock and get there info from the phone for the cops, how do i bypass the knock code? Can i extract the data to a pc? usb debug is disabled
You cant.
You can go through knock code, but it will ask you the password so you will get stucked there.
Without losing everything from the phone you cant bypass it.
Is it unlocked and rooted? You can access some of the raw data through a custom recovery and adb...

I already had it rooted and it's unlocked but i reset it before sending it, does that unroot? I just checked and i see it doesn't, do you guys know any way to bypass the lock for a rooted lg g3 ?

Do not see OEM unlock in HTC one M8

Hello everyone,
I need some help unlocking my HTc one M8. I ma mainly doing it so that I can recovery lost data. (if you know of any alternatives for recovering lost data that does not inlucde rooting, please let me know.
I am following these instructions to root my device:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51465837#post51465837
One of the steps says that I need to enable OEM unlock. However, with my sprint phone, I am unable to enable this feature.
I was wondering if someone could point me to a tutorial for rooting the device.

If you don't see OEM UNLOCK, do you see DEVELOPER OPTIONS in your settings menu? If you do not see DEVELOPER OPTIONS, you will need to this:
Open SETTINGS - ABOUT PHONE
Scroll to the BUILD NUMBER and tap it 7 times to enable DEVELOPER OPTIONS.
Once you have enabled DEVELOPER OPTIONS you can select OEM UNLOCK and follow the steps from htcdev.com
Let me know if this is your problem and if it helped.

Okay, so I have been away from the HTC side of things for a while and I forgot about the official HTC way to unlock the bootloader. When you use the official HTC way to unlock the bootloader you do not have to have the OEM UNLOCK in your developer options. You only have to enable USB Debugging in Developer Options. If you follow the steps on www.htcdev.com to unlock the bootloader you will not have a problem. I've done it before in the past and it's pretty simple. There are step by step instructions when using the htcdev.com site. Once you go to the website you have to create an account to get started. If you need any help with it let me know.

Not 100% certain, but I beleive you'll lose your data when you unlock the bootloader.
What do you mean "lost data"? Appears for your description that the phone is functioning okay. Were the files corrupted, or deleted accidentally? If so, there are some apps on the Play store that you can try to recover the data, that don't require root.

Recover deleted data in unrooted device

Hi! I have Samsung A50.
I have accidently deleted my photos. I have found application that can help to recover deleted data (dr.fone). But it requires root. To root device it needs unlocking bootloader. After unlocking bootloader it wipes all data. I'm afraid that after unlocking bootloader it will be impossible to recover deleted data. How can I unlock bootloader without wiping data? I found that Xiaomi phone can do that (link to instruction). Maybe we also have such opportunity? Please help me, I lost about 20GB of important for me photos, memories.
PS. DiskDigger couldn't help me.
I think you have just lost it, as you are correct that unlocking the botloader will clear data.
I guess just admit they are gone and buy a decent sized sdcard or external hdd to back them up to.

How to recover data from locked s20+? [SM-G985F]

My friend forgot the 6-digit PIN of his phone. He has a Samsung Galaxy S20+ and it has all of his data in it. He is not a nerd so he didn't turn on USB debugging active, he also tried Samsung's mirror unlock feature (don't know the exact name) which can remotely unlock the phone but he didn't turn on that feature either. Most of the answers on this forum were using these methods but it seems he can't use either of those methods. He even tried to go to the Samsung store but all they said was to reset his phone.
Does anyone have any lead/answer as to how can he get his data back? He has USB debugging turned off and Mirror unlock is turned off as well?
OS - ANDROID 12
MODEL - SM G985F
USB DEBUGGING - OFF
MIRROR UNLOCK - OFF
If you login into your samsung find my mobile account you can unlock it remotely, assuming he didn't forget his login info.

Question Unlock bootloader without mobile network

Hello, i have this issue. I have trouble with my phone. It doesn't recognize any simcard anymore. I installed a new sim-tray no solution. I want to try to downgrade the MIUI system or flash a custom ROM to try if this helps, but the bootlocker is locked. I tried to unlock, have a Xiaomi account but can't unlock it. I have to add phone via devlopper tools-->mi unlockstatus but this only works with mobile data and not with wifi. The phone is listed in my Xiaomi account. Is there an other way to unlock the bootloader ??? Or anyone knows a solution ?

You always need mobile data to unlock bootloader in Mi phones.
hey,
if the phone is listed in your xiaomi account it may just work.
you can always try it, grab that miunlock tool and login with your phone number+pass, boot the phone into the android/mibuny page and see if the tools lets you proceed without doing the devtools part.
