Message 5.0.00.128 version that was extracted by me from galaxy s9+ in samsung store - Samsung Galaxy S9 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I went to samsung store and checked s9+ and I extracted Message app. It has Blue icon and New UI.

App not installed s8 oreo no root

Cant install on s7 edge oreo

I can't install it on unrooted Snapdragon Note8 either

There's no point, the app can't be installed on any device other than the S9. Samsung patched the Secure Boot workaround that we could use to install otherwise incompatible apps on Nougat, so since this app only supports Oreo, there's no way for anyone but S9 users to install it.

Hey ! I've installed it on exynos s8, everything looks good but when I clic on a conversation it crash

you need to replace it as a system app. I have it installed and running. I had a friend pull ALL apps. Also Snapdragon modded systems on Oreo all the wayyyyyyyyyyy

Can anyone upload dolby from S9. Im at work right now. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know how to extract the messaging icon from the *apk? I have unpacked it but I can´t find the icon anywhere...

....
Meanwhile....

All modded s9 apps works in samsung nougot. Its not working in s8 oreo

Pretty sure that the dolby settings will only work with the matching hardware on the s9.
99% sure that dolby from the s9 will not work on the s8. It doesn't have the matching hardware, OR the dual speaker setup.

Actually, a lot of people are reporting being able to install it successfully, on S7's (pretty sure I read some people being able to do it) and definitely on some models of the S8. I'm running snapdragon US model on Oreo, and was not able to install it. Most likely, it is region locked, or specific to international models only. There are screenshots in-app on a thread here on XDA somewhere, you'll be able to find it with a quick search.
Just like when the system dump of the S8 made it online, most could successfully update a handful of the new apks, but some, like contacts, messages & phone could not be updated because of a region lock/international model only lock. I think I remember it having something to do with having the corresponding CSC on your phone, and also because they are system-level apps. Not 100% on that explanation, but I do not for sure that people have been able to install this APK on their phones.

The launcher APK from an Exynos S9+ won't install on an Exynos S8+ either, even though it has nothing to do with CSC or country-based stuff.

Uh, that's not how it works. QMG is completely different, renaming it to .png isn't going to magically make it a PNG...

I have all the Snapdragon APK files from a Galaxy S9+. They will only install on android nougat though, and in some instances, will revert back to whatever you had before installing it after a reboot. Cureently working on getting it to install on android oreo. I have an T-Mobile S8+ on oreo version U2CRB8, I might update to CRB9 tomorrow. If anyone has experience porting, please let me know.

Thanks. Working on unrooted S7 edge exynos.

Thanks a lot man :good:, another thing, will changing this have any other impact on my device? Can/should I change it back or does it just not matter?
thanks again :good:
it SHOULDNT matter guys.....but this will block OTA's from updating and stuff, so if that is important to you.
but always make a backup of the build.prop just to be sure. once FB home is available to EVERYONE, i would change it back just to be safe....but again, it shouldn't mess with anything else. most apps are available on the Note 2, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Have you installed the lib file into the lib directory? I have it working on NOS. I had the same problem but I changed the lib file from rw-rw-r-r to
rw-r-r-r now it works like a charm. I used root browser. Give it a shot!
EDIT: Ooops I missed your edit. Changing the language worked as a temporary fix for me for awhile, changing the lib files permissions fixed in permanently.
Everything is working except the ability to start voice search by saying OK Google. Is it working for everyone else? Works on my N7

Just tried... If you simply extract the two apk from the zip you can install them with no issues at all... (I prefer it from flashing...)
The Contact apk is the same as you can find on Play Store, while the Telephone apk is a (lot) newer version than that available on Play Store... Thanx a lot! :highfive:
EDIT: wrong! No problem with contacts, it can be downloaded and installed from Play Store too... BUT Telephone refused to install on Z while installed fine on another MM I use... I'll investigate more on this issue...

Ok, it's possible to install single apks BUT it's needed to install jar & permissions file (& reboot before...) so, for newbies is probably better to simple flash the zip (that is ok, I've cheched...)
Main difference is that flashing after the apps can't simply be uninstalled but become part of the system since they are put in priv-apps... (ok, they can be freezer or removed by a root file manager anyway...)
I'm using it anyway... small differencies for contacts, a lot more (and interesting...!) for dialer...

There's a modded apk here, somewhere, but the problem becomes the caller id functions don't work as it needs to be signed by Google to use the correct APIs. So unless Google messes up like they did with 2.05_rc4 we'll never have an "simple apk" version.

Anyway, the dialer is a *major* upgrade, not only a "cosmetic" one... It is a newer version than the one released with Aosp Nougat 7.1 and beneath there are some newer versions too, it is the newer one working on MM too (the others need at least v. 7.0 to work...)

Nope, it doesn't work with stock android nougat on my moto z xt1650-03, retailmx. After the restart the phone wasn't able to open, not a single app was able to recover my phone app; so I applied my TWRP backup and tried again, same result. So I decided to make it work because I didn't want to delete everything again so, this is what I did:
Make sure to flash the zip, and if you can use your phone anymore, don't panic like me...
1. Erase the app via Titanium Backup pro
2. Restart the phone
3. Go to the file explorer, find the zip of the nougatdialer and extract the dialer apk
4. install it like a normal app and voila!
5. grant permissions if needed.
I think the normal apk should work on nougat.
If not here's the nougat zip:

How to get Theme Store and other apps that do not come with EU phone version.(Root)

I found a way to get theme store and other apps that come with other region phone versions but you need to have root. This is for EU phone, I do not know if this work on other phones versions .Also I am on Realme ui c28 version .
The apps are installed but hidden, the apps that this give are theme store, google phone, google contacts, google messages and app market. It also unlock call recording . I bet that you can add only several of them but because I can freeze or uninstall them later I did not continue to find a way to do it. I recommend to do this to this after installing stock rom or after doing factory reset as at first I think that it did not work for me, maybe because I tried to install many versions of themes apk.
Instructions
1.You need to download any file explorer that can access system folder, I used root explorer (paid app)
2.You need to go to /system/etc/oppoRegionMarkFeatures and copy com.oppo.regionmark.EUEX.xml and com.oppo.regionmark.RU.xml to internal storage in case that you want to revert this change .
3.Delete com.oppo.regionmark.EUEX.xml on /system/etc/oppoReginMarkFatures and rename com.oppo.regionmark.RU.xml to com.oppo.regionmark.EUEX.xml .
4.You need to go to /system/etc/ and copy the blacklist folder to internal storage in case that you want to revert this change.
5.You need to go to /system/etc/ and delete the folder blacklist .
6.Reboot the phone .
7.you need to go to setting and now you see on the top under search, sign in or something similar, click on it and register an account. Then you can go to setting, then click on "home screen & lock screen magazine", scroll down and you will see "Set Theme ."
8.Now you can select any theme you want and hit apply. The themes that you see is based on the region that you set the phone to, you can select India and reboot the phone and you will see other themes, most of them cost money but if you search free, you will see a free ones . You can also find a guides of how to install a paid themes for more then 5 minutes free trial .

I do not think that it will crate any problem, I am on c28 and all work as before, nothing is removed, only added .The EUEX (Europa) has restriction that that Russia does not, It just easier to rename the files and not need to download any other files. Also can you tell me what firmware you are ? I want to confirm if it work on any other firmware other then c28 as I think that they change some files .Here is a link to download the blacklist folder - https://mega.nz/file/EM0lhLgZ#dqHsIf8LlfJmWzvbCTAxwmBAJuoIvL1EYD86p6yuoAg
The Theme can affect the system interface, notification panel but not all do it, most do not.

Hi. I'm on C.28 downloaded from European site.
And thank you for blacklist folder. Now I'll add files again. Except for app manager I'm not interested in the other apps. And of the themes I tried none was interesting.
But your method is amazing. And I can confirm the whole morning I haven't had a single problem.

I would like to translate this guide and add it to a telegram group where I'm admin.
Guide is yours, so I won't do anything if I won't have your approval.

I do not mind that you translate or share this guide, just do not forgot to write that it work on c28 and this is not tested on other versions. I once tried to do it on c27 and it did not work but I edit some other files before, so maybe it cause the theme store to have problems applying themes.
Hi, this does not work on RUI 2.0 F.14. Do you have another steps to perform so i can unlock the hidden apps?
