logo.bin to remove unlocked warning and WITHOUT N/A! (flashable .bin + instructions) - Moto Z Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hello guys,
I've created with the help of the Motorola Boot Logo Maker (https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/themes-apps/app-motorola-boot-logo-maker-source-t2848667) two boot logos to remove the odd "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" banner from bootloader.
As base I used the modded logo.bin and for one picture (the colourful) one logo of this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/themes/modded-logo-bin-to-eliminate-phone-t3586169
Then I took the black version from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-force/development/remove-bootloader-unlocked-warning-t3702353 and modified it so the N/A text is hidden.
I've created 5 versions:
Logo black - filled:

To download the .bin (in the corresponding .zip) just scroll at the end of this post and download your prefered version.
INSTALLATION:
To install the boot logo:
1. download the .zip of your prefered version on your Computer
2. extract the "logo.bin" file
3. start your Smartphone into bootloader
4. open the folder on your PC with the "logo.bin" file, start cmd/shell in this folder (shift+right click) and enter: "fastboot flash logo logo.bin" (without quotation marks)
5. reboot and enjoy!

Just a question . So we can either flash the Zip or extract it and flash the bin file .. or am I wrong ?

I tried on Moto Z Play and while the ZIPs don't work the logos almost do. flashboot flashing the logo.bin from logowhitering.zip crops off the "by android" part and shows "n/a".
But it's better than that scary nonsense so thanks!
Edit: nevermind, our logos are https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z-play/themes/logo-bin-t3538153 here.

The versions for Moto Z doesn't work on Moto Z Play, since it has a different screen resolution.
But if you want, I could create a version for the Moto Z Play too (but I couldn't test if it works, you would have to tell me).

Thanks but I am good.

Hey guys.
I made an all black pixel 2-ish boot logo ( it fits with the Pixel 2 black 1440p boot animation ).
The N/A icon can be seen since it's a black background, tho.

I zipped it because the forums reject .bin files.
It goes well with the Pixel 2 boot animation found HERE

This is just an example of what you can make your boot logo look like. You can tell us what image, font, color scheme to use and we'll make it for you. :laugh:
When requesting, keep in mind :
1. Provide as much details as you can to make it is easy for us to make something as you wanted.
2. Keep it simple! Boot Logos are not your Drawing boards to show all the shades of crayons you got. Keep it subtle and to the point.
3. Patience is a virtue. Use it, there may be times when your request gets delayed, keep calm in the dark times.
If there are *many* requests, I won't be able to test all the boot logos I make, but keep calm, if anything goes wrong, you can always flash the original boot logo back. It's easy:
Instructions
A) Flashable Zip
1. Download the flashable zip on your sdcard.
2. Reboot to Recovery by first going to Fastboot Mode by powering it off and then hoding Power + Vol Down key simultaneously. Then leave the vol down and power key eventually. Then choosing Recovery Mode.
3. Choose "Install Zip from /sdcard/" and navigate to where you downloaded the file.
4. Then, choose it and select yes. You'll be shown some messages that it's been successful.
5. Reboot and enjoy.
B) logo.bin
You should have adb(fastboot), Motorola USB drivers(for windows) set up as a pre-requisite.
1. Download the bootlogo image I provide you. It'll be named logo-xxxx.img
2. Place it in any folder and rename it to logo.bin (up to you, but preferred in the context of thread).
3. Now hold Shift + Right Click in that folder, and choose Open Command Window Here option.
4. A command prompt will be opened before you. Now, boot your device in Fastboot Mode by powering it off and then hoding Power + Vol Down key simultaneously. Then leave the vol down and power key eventually.
5. When your device is in Fastboot Mode, connect it to PC. A message will appear on Phone Screen that "USB Connected"
6. Now, type this in Command Prompt
Code:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
7. If all goes well, which it will(until it does not :silly: ), command prompt will show that the process succeeded. Reboot your phone and, ENJOY!

If it does, then I can support Moto E too
Thank you very much for this.
Here's my request:
The pink Motorola logo, as appears in the latest "football" boot animation, made such that the transition between boot-logo and boot animation is minimal.
Also the words "a Google company" under the logo would be sweet, doubling up as a (minor) distinction between boot-logo and boot animation.
In short, I want it to look streamlined.
I hope it's not too much work

Hello, I'd like a boot logo with the Motorola logo in the middle, but the M is white, and the rest of the logo is black. Below the logo, I'd like a text that says "A Google Company" in the font you used in the sample. The background is black. Thank you!

[MOD] [08FEB16] Stock Modified Bootanimations and SplashScreens (More on Request)

Hi guys. I'm back with this little project.
I've inverted the stock bootanimation and downanimation of the One M9 (for those who prefer the dark background to white).
Recommended to use on ViperOneM9 with a dark theme. Just so it fits in.
I will do more upon request (but it might take some time I guess it doesn't take too much time).
Installation instructions for boot/down animations in next post.
Installation instructions and downloads for splash screens in Post#4.
Use files attached in this post and post#4.
Code:

[*]Frying your device
[*]Destroying your device

Special thanks:
@iElvis for helping with the splash screens.
@predator1584 for providing the tools and guide to make a splashscreen.
@Basil3 for allowing me to use his files as a base.
Installation Instructions for flashing Boot & Down animations:
Download desired animations from the attachments in post above.
Reboot to recovery (TWRP preferred).
Flash the zip file.
Reboot and enjoy.
If flashing the file does not work, then extract the files from the flashable zip and manually push them to \system\customize\resource\ with permissions 0644 or rw-r--r-- using root explorer (or any other root browser).
If that doesn't work either, then check what your original boot&down animations are called and where they are.

Installation Instructions for flashing splashscreens:
Make sure you have fastboot and adb drivers installed on your computer.
Make sure your device is S-OFF (if it isn't, you cannot flash splashscreens)
Download desired splashscreen from the attachments below.
Save the splash.zip file in your fastboot folder (rename it to splash.zip so no errors).
Reboot your device into fastboot mode and connect to your PC.
Run the following commands:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip splashfilename.zip
fastboot reboot
Enjoy your new splashscreen!
If for some reason you're not able to flash the splashscreen, check the androidinfo.txt in the zip file to check if your CID is there (or just get superCID)

Don't know about the splash screen since I'm not S-OFF and I don't want to ruin anything just yet.

Please remove step 4, even if it's optional. It is absolutely not needed, ever, for this purpose.
There are many people here that would do that just because they are not sure how this works, so they will wait 10 to 20 minutes or even more for nothing.
Thanks!

Like I mentioned earlier, I won't be able to make any modifications to splash screens since I don't have S-OFF (Unless ofcourse someone's willing to donate a Sunshine key wink-wink --> Just kidding).
I can certainly try, but I don't want to be responsible for anything that goes wrong.
Also there's some new sort of protection on the splash partitions so traditional methods (that I know of) won't work on S-OFF.
Added HTC One M7 inverted bootup and down animations.

There are already a couple of threads on how to change your splash screen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/themes-apps/mod-create-splash-screens-t3110975
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/themes-apps/mod-splash-screen-collection-htc-one-m9-t3075126
The fastboot method still works. The new restriction is actually a good thing because it only allows new splashes to be flashed in fastboot, which is much safer than the dd-in-recovery method.
There's that. The only reason I preferred the old method was because it was easier (for me since my laptop screwed with all my drivers for Download Mode).
Unfortunately I'm not willing to make anything I can't test myself.
Then again, that IS why I reserved an extra post.

I don't see why they don't work for you. Only moving files manually works for me (I don't know why, but flashing the zips work for others). Check what the original boot&down animation zips in /system/customize/resource are called (post a picture). I remember back on the M7 different firmwares had different names. One had bootanimation.zip and others had htc_bootupone or something like that.
Yes you need S-OFF for splash screens.

[SHARE] YOUR SPLASH SCREENs [May,25th]

All thanks to @GokulNC, we can make Custom Splash Screens (or Boot Logos in Layman's terms) for our device.
I made this thread, so that all of us can make custom splash screens and share them with each other.
The splash screens I made are in the 2nd post and are flashable zips. I keep track of splash screens made by other members and they are all indexed in the 3rd post. I don't check their validity personally and can't say if they'll work perfectly or not. If they cause any harm to your device, I would not be held responsible with any kind. So just Download, flash and Enjoy!!
====HOW TO FLASH====
You'll need a custom recovery for that, TWRP is what I always recommend. Since, you are here, I suppose, you already have one. So, just reboot to your custom recovery.
Go to "Install", then choose the zip file of your preferred splash screen that you've downloaded.
Swipe to proceed flashing and you are done.
Just Reboot and Enjoy.
NOTE: No wiping, before or after flashing, is required.
Also, if you want me to make one for you, you can leave the image along with desired text (if any) in the comments. Just make sure the image is in atleast 720x1280 resolution

~BOOT ANIMATIONS BY OTHER MEMBERS~
I'm gonna add links for some of the bootanimations which I found to be cool. Remember that you can flash any bootanimation on your device with 720p resolution. Flashing bootanimations of other resolutions will not display it properly but otherwise is not going to brick your device in any way.
1) @m4gaikwad ==>> Assassin's Creed BootAnimation

Those are not boot logos, those are splash screens.
A boot logo refers to the device's boot animation, while the screen that lights up during the bootstrap phase is called a splash screen.

Well, technically you are right. But, from the various posts that I've been reading about it, "Boot Logo" is the more general term being used. I named the thread with "boot logo" because anyone, even a new member, can easily understand that its basically the image which is displayed while the phone boots. Thank, anyway, for the suggestion. I'll add that too in the thread name :silly:
Wow. So cool. I like the third one?

Stock Splash Screen / Boot Logo is already added. Check the last one (10th).
And, in CM, themes can change Boot Animation and not Boot Logo.
P.S. : I'm using the 3rd BAT LOGO only :silly:

[GUIDE] [XT16XX] [BOOTLOGO] [How to create your very own Custom Bootlogo]

As we know, when we unlock our bootloader (to install TWRP, etc) on our Moto device, our regular Moto bootlogo is replaced with an annoying and unavoidable screen which says that “This device has been unlocked and cannot be trusted”. Now, this screen can be replaced but sometimes, the “Device ID: N/A” text obstructs any design or image you try to replace.
Take a look below.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So the simple workaround is - leave that area white and mask your image around it so it the text isn’t visible anymore. Like these images which I have created which cover the N/A text -
Now that you know how to workaround this annoyance, go ahead and create any design you want of you choice keeping this in mind. For your reference, I shall attach a sample image which points to the coordinates of the N/A text (see attachments below)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that you have the basics sorted, let’s get started:
What you will need:
1. Windows PC
2. Moto Boot Image Maker v2 (all credits to @caitsith2)
3. WinRAR + Notepad (if you want to change updater script)
4. Your desired image (in 1080x1920 px resolution, PNG/JPG)
5. Some patience
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to make a bootlogo:
1. Download these:
--> Moto Bootlogo Maker from HERE
--> Example logo.bin I've created for reference from HERE (credits to @rahulsnair)
2. Open MotoBootlogoMaker.exe and Go to File > Open > Select example.bin which you downloaded
3. Let the file load all components. Once loaded, Select Moto G (4th gen) as device from dropdown and then in the components list, Double click > Replace your custom image on the following entries:
logo_boot
logo_unlocked
yellow
red
orange
4. Once youre done with the above steps, go to File > Save As <Your bootlogo name here>
--> If you want to flash via fastboot then select save as .bin file
Use the following commands to flash via fastboot <fastboot flash logo logo.bin> (assuming you’ve named your file logo.bin)
--> If you want to flash via TWRP then select save as Flashable zip.
This is recommended as then all you have to do is transfer the zip to your Internal Storage and just flash the zip regularly via TWRP recovery.
5. If you choose to make a flashable zip and choose to customize a bit more, you could edit the UI text that appears on TWRP when flashing the zip.
To do so, open the zip you have created with WinRAR, within WinRAR, open META-INF > com > google > android > Open “updater-script” with Notepad.
Then you may change the text highlighted below to something of your choice. Hit “Save” from Notepad menu and close it. After you close Notepad, WinRAR will ask if you want to update changes to the zip archive - click on “Yes” and there - you have customized the UI Text on your custom made bootlogo. See images below -
6. Now all you gotta do is flash away If you guys want some reference, I’ve made a few bootlogos myself in my freetime, which I am attaching here as flashable zips too.
All the best guys! Have fun creating!
Leave me a thanks if you found this helpful - I'd appreciate that
Great post man...thanks

When you click on save, the software takes a while to save the file. Around 5—10 seconds or so, or longer, as it strips down the large images that you might have into smaller ones. Wait till the indicator at the bottom left corner shows “done” or something similar.
Woah.!

Yes.
It should work on any Athene model. I have left MM long time back so can't really confirm.
But given that bootlogo has nothing to do with your OS, I assume it does.

If you need it only for several apps and you have Nova Launcher, it's easy, I made my own png's with 128x128 pixels with gimp and replaced the icon with Nova Launcher for my homescreen icons. For complete incon packs there are tutorials on YouTube for several launchers for example.
thank you very much for all the bootscreens
ps: i wonder if you made that invictaos logo bootlogo?

To install it rename bootanimation_MiA2LiteBlack_v6.zip as bootanimation.zip and place it into /system/media/ folder (mounted as RW)
it will overwrite te existing one, if you dont want previously rename it bootanimation.zip.orig for exemple
Or just use the bootanimation_MiA2LiteBlack_v6_flashable_fixed.zip flashable zip i made in TWRP!
I also added the original white versions if anyone needs

You need to write it to the system partition. You must have an unlocked bootloader and this will break OTAs.
I've got instructions in here, using TWRP to copy the file into the right place.

FYI if you want clean from the 1st .zip that didnt work : boot into twrp, mount system partition, go to advanced / file manager, delete the media directory between license and mnt (there should be a system directory lower, with a media directory inside, be sure to dont touch them!)

but the "Unlocked" text is visually of lower quality than the original. like it's not smooth. you can't clearly read it. also the big "android" text is jaggedy around the edges unlike the original. what you did is still great and I'm using it regardless. just saying that it's not the original resolution. and if you insist that it's the same resolution then the image has degraded significantly for some other reason
