Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Model Question - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I am looking at buying a used Galaxy Tab S because I like the 10.5" screen and cant find any other tablets that size screen.
1) Which is the best chipset ? I hear that the snap dragon is the best ?
2) Does the snap dragon only appear in all LTE models or just some ?
3) Does the LTE model come in 32gb storage ? Because I cant seem to find it on ebay in 32gb.
My brother has the wifi 16gb version with the exynos and says it slows down quick after a factory reset and the 16gb storage is a pain its not large enough.
ebay seems to say all these come with the Exynos chipset hence my questions.
Thanks in advance guys.

I guess no one knows.
Is anyone with the following models willing to install CPU-Z from google play store and tell me what they have please ?
Galaxy Tab S SM-T805 ????
Galaxy Tab S SM-T807 ????
Galaxy Tab S SM-T800 I think this is Exynos ?
Appreciate it if any users can let me know.

the sm-t800 is the best one to look for. its 16gb but has sd card slot. also, theres more custom rom development on that one. i have the exynos one and seems fine. no slow downs. sm-t807p and 807v are snapdraggon. ii i think sm-t807a and sm-t807t are exynos..

Thanks for the reply.
It just seems to be inconsistent specs posted all over the internet because I messaged a guy selling the 807P and he ran the CPU-Z and said it was Exynos CPU but if you are saying there is better development on the T800 I may get the USA model T800 that has 32gb on board.

I just discovered that Huwawei M5 Pro will have 10.8" screen and the Galaxy Tab S4 will have 10.5" so I think I am going to wait for one of those when they appear this year.
Thanks for the advice.

T807A : AT&T version
T807P: Sprint version
T807R: US Cellular version
T807T : T-Mobile version
T807V: Verizon version
T807 : Factory Unlocked version
It should be the same hardware with several firmwares

32GB versions of the SM-T800, as I understand it, were only sold through Best Buy. I have one.

And the best buy 32GB version is a cool rose gold and grey

vs.
Spec wise both phones are identical
the only real difference is that one has the t-mobile & Samsung logo in the front, and the other only has the Samsung logo
the tmo version also has a tmo customized boot animation, the telus version is plain samsung boot animation
tmo verison has extra tmo broadware apps, the telus version has only one extra broatware (Groupon)
which would you go for?
will you pay the extra $ for the unbranded version?
The one with bloatware crap that might get WiFi calling at some point.
I like the telus one less branding and bigger space to press the capacitive buttons. The Bloat can be removed with root. I wonder when samsung going to drop source code for this phone. Sprint and At&t already versions already have source code slightly before phones come out. Android police and engadget have already reviewed the tmobile samsung galaxy 2.
Why not just wait on the HD version of the phone? Although I'm not sure when that will be out.

the HD version is not AWS compatible
Hmm well do you really want to pay $150 more for the branding because everything else will go away when rooted

Save the extra dough and put it towards something else to play with and go for the Tmo version.

wow, if it weren't for the galaxy note coming out, I would definitely get the T-mobile version.
Really good pricing
go with the Tmobil version!!
People are saying the battery life is the worst on the t-mobile galaxy 2. I think its all that badly programmed bloatware on that phone. Also the phone is taking in lte speeds which means the phone uses more power to pull in data. It shows to say lte is over hyped. I think the adreno 220 is overclocked in this phone as well.
Good thing you can usually turn 4g off...
root will be around fast enough ...hell if they can unlock a phone on this site before the actual compny that produces it can i think root will be attainable in no time. save the money and get the tmo version. you can always call tmobile and have it unlocked for free

But hspa+ is 3g so if you turn it off you get edge. Ironically edge speeds on tmobile are faster than at&t 3g speeds.

Sprint Rumor Thread (For the HTC One X)

So this is what I have gathered so far about the Sprint version of the HTC One X.
The Sprint variant of the phone will be named the HTC Evo One. It is the successor to the HTC Evo 3D. Here's a quick list of features
4.7" SLCD2 Display
2650mAh Battery
LTE Radio
16GB of Built-in Storage
Big Rumor: microSD card slot
KICKSTAND IS BACK!
Dual Core Krait S4 processor
1GB of RAM
Many rumors point to an announcement of the phone on April 4th, with a release in June (similar to the other Evo phones).
I personally think all of these specs are possibilities, but I am wary of the microSD card slot. I would love for HTC to add it to the Sprint variant, but I won't have any expectations.
Anyone interested in getting the Sprint version? Anyone heard any other rumors?

This will probably be my next phone, depending on what the specs for the galaxy s3 look like, the release date, etc...
I'll be really curious to see about the microSD slot. That'd be a big change for sprint, and takes away from HTC's partnership with dropbox, making me slightly skeptical. We'll see though. I'd hate to see my 32gb microsd go to waste.

Agreed about the SD card. I just bought mine a few months ago.
Unless the gs3 is much sturdier than previous generations, I think I'll skip it. I understand why the s2 is so light why they use plastic, but I hate the fragile feeling it has.

There is also some rumors going around that the screen is going to be a SAMOLED HD screen but I highly doubt it (although, I wish it were true).

is it safe to use Note 7 Hongkong Version SM-N9300?

Today Samsung requested all the Samsung Note 7 Owners to Switch off their phone and stop using it.
I have a Note 7 Hongkong version SM-N9300, Which has a Green Battery and the Faulty Tests shows that my phone is NOT among the Affected ones.
My Question is "IS IT SAFE TO USE MY PHONE NOW?

As far as I know the actual recall is currently in the US only (Not Australia, according to Samsung. I asked them) however I'd guess it's going to be worldwide very soon. And this includes all the replacement ones that were deemed "safe".
So, your Note 7 will /probably/ be recalled soon enough. Nobody can tell if your phone is safe though. Impossible to know.

Samsung Hong Kong just announced earlier for all people with HK Note 7s to stop using and return the phone. To be honest, the potential battery problem ALWAYS included China and HK phones, Samsung's HK and China divisions were just shady as hell and kept selling on September 2 when Samsung headquarters first announced they made a huge mistake. Samsung HK has been getting killed online by people for weeks for seemingly apathy. I'm surprised they acted so soon this time to echo what the rest of the world is doing.
so long story short, no, your HK note is included in the call for return. All note 7s are. the phone is done.
Well my Note 7 is perfectly fine. The battery and everything is perfectly fine. NO HEAT ISSUE. i am trying to contact the person who sold it to me to check what the supplier stand on this.
Anyways thanks everyone.
I just wonder the problem is not the battery but rather the processor.
The one in China are not exynos which produce more heat
The Recall is GLOBAL, as in INTERNATIONAL. NO SAMSUNG NOTE 7 IS SAFE! RETURN IT!
Seems to me this forum is frequented by Samsung-haters and/or trolls.

Have you checked on wondamobile? Its on promotion at the moment
If you need a phone asap the regular s20 Snapdragon can be found for a really good price come cyber monday.. I've had zero issues with it .
I personally prefer the smaller size and the price is great for a really snappy phone. I'm getting around 6.5hrs screen on time as well.
No Root but that hasn't bothered me one bit
Currently updated s20 with exynos is pretty much the same as snapdragon and on daily basis you wont notice any difference, in fact my s20+ exynos version never gave me any reason to complain and at least you have warranty which may not be as easy and straight forward with imported snapdragon
So there are no know problems with the S20/plus

I wouldn't necessarily label these problems but there are issues which you might consider before purchasing the S20 Plus.
The rear cameras aren't flush with the back panel, they protrude. It doesn't look like much in promotional photos but it clashes with the symmetry of the device and won't lay flat. Also at 6.37" x 2.90" it's not what most consider a "pocket phone"' it's a big device which is the trend these days.
There's no 3.5 mm jack, the wired earpiece connection is routed through the charging port which requires an adapter. If you're fine with Bluetooth for audio no big deal but as an audio buff a wired connection is superior.
Only Asian Snapdragon variants offer unlocked bootloaders, if you won't root the device that shouldn't matter. The UI is refined to the point you may not want to bother with root. Plus there are numerous models even within the S20 Plus. If full Call Feature functionality is a top priority then aquire your service provider's device, which in your case would mean a Exynos SoC.
It's an expensive smartphone, there are other options available for hundreds of dollars less that may be suitable for your needs. Overall it's a great device, maybe the best smartphone on the market but not necessarily the best value.
If I was considering a purchase at this time I'd hold off until the S21 is released in January or February. If you do and still prefer the, S20 Plus it will available at an even lower price than today.
Hello, who knows what this acronym means?
SM-G9880 (S20 Ultra, Hong Kong)

Question S21 FE 5G, 1st gen vs. 2nd gen

I just noticed that on the Samsung website, in my country we have two models: 1st gen and 2nd gen. I was curious if anyone has any idea on what differences could there be between the two? I've asked Samsung and I am waiting for an answer, but maybe someone here knows something about this.

Gen 1 has product code G990BZAGEUE and Gen 2 has G990BZAWEUE.
I would probably persume that the Gen1 is the Exynos and the Gen 2 is Snapdragon
I have the Gen1 and it is Snapdragon. From what I see on other websites, the Gen 2 also has the same specs. Weird.
I know there is model which is SM-G990B2. This addon 2 is something what is new. I've it. As far as I know the difference is support for Bluetooth 5.2 instead 5.0. Don't know if they're other differences

Thanks for your input. I received the official answer from Samsung, and apparently they said there is no difference as far as specs go. It's just odd. I mean why would they label it separately on their webpage though. Oh well.
I have Gen2 so only Bluetooth version changes ?
I noticed there's a different firmware between the 2 from Sammobile.com
I just recently learned that in my country Gen1 is Snapdragon and Gen2 is Exynos. Be VERY careful what you buy. Samsung confirmed to me that there are NO differences between the two but on close inspection, on their site it's clearly stated that Gen2 is powered by their latest proprietary chipset which is Exynos. Very fowl play from Samsung.

I noticed the same thing, some sellers call it new edition. Manifacturing country seems to be India for B2 instead of Vietnam, which is interesting.
Only info that is stated on Amazon is "New AP".
