Any Mod to trigger the aux input to show when finish reverse for 10 seconds? - MTCD Android Head Units General

Any Mod to trigger the aux input to show when finish reverse for 10 seconds?
The front view camera setting in the factory 168 menu doesn't take the video from the aux,it actually takes in from an input that i dont have in the board how to change it to take the video from aux av in?
Anyone knows? Im investigating it..

Need help connecting toyota OEM backup camera to headunit

Hi guys any help connecting Toyota Highlander 2014 OEM backup camera to head unit will be good. I have been trying with 24 pins oem harmess but no luck. There are 6 wires pin #3,4 that's gray and blue also pin# 11,12,23 & 24 that's black, red, gray & white. Any help would be great. Head unit has Brake, reverse, cam power out, ground and female RCA. Thank in advance. Please someone help.
The first step is figuring out if the camera is just video out or if it is converted to something else. If it is just video then you need to find where and how you can tap into that and convert it to RCA. Then one of those pins should be a reverse signal, hopefully it is +12v on reverse but you should find out for sure or test with a multimeter. If it is +12v on reverse that connects to the reverse pin on the HU. If any of these turn out to be diferent post back here and I will try to help (unless someone more knowledgable knows more).

Might end up installing aftermarket backup camera haven't figured out about OEM or might use DVR as backup for now
Is there any settings in software/ROM (Malaysk ROM) that need to be turned on as I'm not getting any power on POW CAMERA OUT when connect

There's no power out for the camera. Normally this taken from your +12 at your white back light. The same voltage is also
used to trigger reverse to the head unit if you don't have a specific wire under the dash.
Reverse cable is normally orange with a black stripe in your headunit loom.
So I connect reverse, brake, RCA, cam power out and grd to OEM harness and it should work right. I did but nothing look like it's working

Brake has nothing to do with this, leave it open for the time being, its for watching video. When you say cam power out where do you get that power from? For testing you could connect your camera RCA to the video input and select video in your head unit. If you get a picture, you do have power and video to your camera. If not, you don't have power or camera input or both.
I don't mean Cam input, which is Rear view camera normal input. I mean the video input in your loom.
Tried but no video. So what you think is wrong. But don't I need reverse to trigger video ?

If you're using Cam input you need reverse. But for testing if you use regular video input no reverse is needed. Just select
video input, AV input.
It's obvious that you are missing either power, video or both. In the schematics above, which one is yours?
Thanks everyone for your help got the camera working but it's too grainy not clear is that normal or do I need to tweak software settings. THANKS AGAIN.

There's nothing to tweak when it comes to Cam input. Grain normally happens in a low light situation.
Sorry it's not grainy but has horizontal lines, may it's not ground properly.

It could be noise, but also a resolution problem. i.e. PAL/NTSC. Are you feeding it with the right
voltage? I read something about 6 vs. 12 volt. If the converter is a buck converter, it will generate
noise. Try to feed it with a battery for testing.
Usually Toyota cameras runs on a 6V current, whereas most aftermarket units are on 12V. So you might need to put a volt regulator. More details here: https://www.toyotanation.com/forum/...tory-rear-view-camera-aftermarket-stereo.html

Problem with reverse cam (canbus error?) - SOLVED

Hi
I have KLD unit that I've used for approx 12 months now without any issues (execpt from me playing with MCU and Firmware upgrades). I also have a reverse cam installed that has been working fine since day 1.
However a couple weeks ago the unit started to behave strangely, while I'm driving forward then the canbus suddenly send reverse cam signal to the unit and the unit goes into reverse mode. However I get the exclamation screen, since there is no live feed on the reverse cam (it's not powered on as it is connected to the reverse lights power source).
If I quickly change to neutral (still driving) and back to drive (automatic), the reverse cam screen disappears and unit works as normal. But after random 3-15 minutes it goes back into reverse cam mode, while still driving or even just standing still.
I've taken the unit out and connected it to a PSU and had it powered on for two days at my desk without any problem, so the unit it self seems in good condition. But when back into the car the problems starts again. Today I decided to disconnect it all wiring as well to check everything and look for any issues. I could not find anything "strange" with the wires.
So I started to play around with the reverse cam wires to see if anything was sending a signal while in neutral or drive. Turns out the orange reverse wire from the canbus is powering up randomly when not in reverse, disconnecting the orange wire from the canbus box takes the unit out of the reverse mode and unit works as normal (of course without reverse cam functionality). Same thing happens when I disconnect the canbus box itself completely, then of course my steering wheel buttons does not work (which they do when the canbus is connected).
I also connected the cam to the video IN and engange reverse gear then the live feed from the cam works fine when in ie. the AVIN app.
After doing all this fiddling and testing. I connected everything back correctly. However now the canbus seemed even more "broken", as it now engange reverse entirely when in P, N and D. And disables the reverse cam feed when actually in reverse
This leads me to the conclusion that the canbus some how has gone foobar. However I have no clue to what to look for. Is there a way to reset the canbus box itself, or do I just need to order a new one?
This is what I've done:
- Verify that all settings in Factory settings where correct
- Checked wiring and the car it self (car is BMW E53)
- Checked cam working and the wiring
- Loaded MCU and firwmare just in case
- Tested unit separate from the car (PSU power), working fine
The unit works fine otherwise.
As a workaround for now, I've disconnected the orange wire from the canbus box and connected the reverse cam video to video in. And just manually start AVIN when I need reverse cam
Hope anybody out here has any idea or clues for what I should look for?
Can these canbus suddenly "go nutes" or die?
Thanks

I would rather check the transmitter of the gearbox position. If it has problems it should be recorded as a fault
in your car internal memory. Maybe not in OBD, but deeper. Ask your garage to check the internal memory.

Most manufactures have at least two layers, maybe more.
I had something similar. Disconnected the pink cable from the reverse feed on the canbus box and hooked it up to the feed behind the glovebox for the reverse lights instead.
Disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes. That will reset the computer and clear canbus.
If it returns, then the PCM is probably at fault.

Hm, tried this. No go:-/
Better get my PCM checked out.
Could it be that my can bus decoder is broken? Anyone experienced this?

Just an update:
I managed to borrow a can bus decoder box from a friend, who has a similar unit as me.
That one worked fine and I had reverse camera as normal again with his can bus decoder.
So as work around untill I get a new can bus decoder box, I bypassed the can bus reverse cam trigger on the can bus decoder.
I made own reverse trigger wire connected from the reverse camera power and wired it to the unit reverse cam trigger wire directly.
Now its all working as before.
I have the same issue. There is another way to work the CANBus decoder (like any update etc), except to bypass the CANBus with cutting reverse cable. Please help me.
I have the same issue as well. I was in the process of installing the rear view camera, after which, my headunit is now stuck in 'reverse mode'. If i disconnect the ca bus decoder box, the headunit starts functioning without any issues. I can't find any info on how to reset or program the can bus decoder to its factory settings. No idea what to do at this point, other than order a new unit.

I think I have the same problem as you. Did you end up fixing it?
If my Canbus is plugged in, it's constantly in reverse mode. The only way to get back to the regular screen is to unplug the canbus or disable reverse mode in factory settings (in which case, reverse camera is disabled)
Do I need a new Canbus? Anyone know how this would happen and how to avoid it happening again?
Problema camara reversa (CanBus)
Hello,
There is, on the market, CAN-BUS INTERFACE UNIVERSAL ADAPTER INTERVAL CAN-01 / 02SPEED PULSE PARK BRAKES ETC
It is marketed by 'Motor Solutions and' Connects2 '
The CAN-Bus interfaces are designed to turn this digital data into analog, so the installation of an aftermarket car radio becomes simple. The interface creates the following for you, and saves you time and money in the process:
Speed pulse signal
Ignition Wire
Lighting wire,
Reverse wire
Park Brakes
I think it applies to 'made in China' radios, but they should consult the sellers

New owner here!...... need help with a few questions. Thanks!

Hey guys,
I just bought a new unit and have had fun installing/setting it up. But I've run into a few problems/questions that I can not easily solve from searching. I'm hoping for some help. I appreciate any insight that can be provided!
purchased:
MTCB 800x480 (EONON GA2114)
1.) I can't get the reverse camera to work
My previous head unit was the Astroid Parrot Smart and my backkup camera was working. I've setup my MTCB as follows: HU reverse wire to reverse light 12v & HU "cam in" to camera's RCA plug. I'm experiencing: when I put in reverse gear, I get a yellow triangle exclimation point and no proper video. Could this be becuase I have not grounded the HU parking wire (everything else is working properly without having to do that. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change?... pal vs ntsc?
2. ODBD not working correctly.
I can connect to it in bluetooth settings but Torque can not connect to it. I do have blue OBDB icon that appears in the taskbar
3. Keypress (for the physical hardware buttons) volume is too loud
even if I have the radio volume turned all the way down
4. music volume is too loud when volume set at one
With the volume of music at it's lowest setting, it's at a normal listening level.
5. Elements in Settings disappeared
It's just gone. I can't change the physical button colors any more. It was there before.
6. Saved radio stations.
After a scan is complete.... I can't figure out how to reorganize the order of stations.... or even delete the unwanted presets
7. Best way to automate wifi hotspot?
Should I set a tasker action to start hotspot upon bluetooth connect to unit? I sometimes have bluetooth manually turned off though. ... what's everyones solution to this? I though about a NFC sticker placed on my phone dock to automate bluetooth/hotspot.

When you say parking wire I assume you mean park brake wire. The park brake wire has nothing to do with reverse video. It is suppose
to turn off DVD video during driving. Which can be changed in settings BTW. Exclamation point normally means no video. Are you sure
you used the right input and that your camera is providing video? Test your camera on a normal video in and verify if you get a picture.
Also verify that your reverse camera gets 12 volt when selected.

Xtrons TQ709IPL Reverse Camera Setup

Hi All,
Just purchased the above unit and it seems pretty good so far, stab;e, etc. Just trying to get the reverse camera working, does anyone have any experience with this brand as the wire labelling is confusing.
The 4 wires in question (as far as I can figure) are:
CCD AVIN - Referred to as Reverse Cam Input)
BACK_CAR - Reverse Control Cable
on another connector
REVERSE - Reversing Control Cable
BACK SIGHT VIDEO - Reverse Cam Input Video
You can see where my confusion would be.
At this point, I've connected the camera 12V supply to the reverse light wire so it will turn on when in reverse gear. Would this also need to be fed into one of the control cable wires (Do they require 12V to switch to the camera input).
Thanks
Paul
I just ordered the same xtrons unit, I'm planning to attempt to only use harness1 (connections 1-9), and the associated reverse control wire (5) and yellow rca input (3). I assume the other input on the 2nd harness would work fine too, but I want to keep the clutter down behind the new HU.
Your car might provide the needed +12 reverse control wire in dash already, if it doesn't, you can tap the same +12 your using for the camera itself since it sounds like you correctly wired the camera in a way that it is only powered on when actually in reverse. I've seen lots of people wire the cams power source to either always on +12 (really bad) or acc +12 (kinda bad).
The +12 control wire tells the unit to switch to that camera input for the display. This is why i think it can use both reverse inputs, so long as you use the control wire for its associated rca input.
I think this unit has multiple inputs for maybe a trailer camera in addition to the reverse cam, maybe a toggle switch attached to harness2's "reverse control" instead of actual reverse, that you could switch on manually and then see the other camera input as needed.
I finally wired up the reverse cam to the TQ709IPL. I only used harness1's connections:
Harness 1:
Pin 3 CCD AVIN, Reverse Camera Video Input
Pin 5 BACK-CAR, Reverse Control Cable
These two pins worked perfectly together, +12v on Pin 5 "BACK-CAR" and the unit switches to show what's plugged into Yellow RCA Pin 3 "CCD AVIN".
Unsure about these connections still:
Harness 2:
Pin 22 REVERSE, Reversing Control Cable
Pin 25, BACK SIGHT VIDEO, Reverse Camera Video Input

Dasaita MAX6 reverse camera issue(2013 Subaru STI)??

SO I'm sitting her pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I can't get a reverse camera to work. I have a 2013 WRX STi with a Dasaita TDA7850 MAX6. I have everything wired up and working except for the reverse camera. I believe the camera is an aftermarket one from the previous owner. The cables coming from the reverse camera are Yellow RCA, Red power, and black ground. The ground is ..well grounded and the RCA is plugged into the CAM VIN RCA input on the head unit. When I plug the power into a 12v source I can manually view the camera so I know it is receiving power and working.
I have also run a wire from the reverse lights and plugged it into the wire labeled "Reverse" on the head unit(pin number 2). But no matter what happens the head unit won't automatically switch to the feed.
I have also tried doing a 3-way connection between the head unit reverse wire, power wire for the camera, and reverse light wire. This setup turns the camera off when reverse is not on but still won't auto-switch to the reverse camera when the car is put in gear.
I am not against buying a different reverse camera because they're relatively cheap but I feel like the issue I am having is not related to the camera itself but either software or hardware on the head unit not detecting the 12v reverse wiring. I have verified with a multi-meter the reverse light wire provides ~11.8 volts when put in reverse.
Anyone with similar issues previously? Am I just missing a software setting or did I make a dumb mistake in the wiring?
There are settings for the reverse camera also in Factory settings menu.
Check there if reverse signal might be set to disabled.

Thank you SO much for pointing out what I should have already known. This fixed it!! The wording in the factory settings was some really bad double negative english.
