EDIT
forgot to mention
I have access only to Download Mode NO recovery Mode

Awwww... poor you! You found yourself in a level 3 bootloader... that means that you cannot flash unofficial binaries such as; twrp and other recoveries or so.
Try following this https://forum.xda-developers.com/sa...w-to/guide-root-install-twrp-samsung-t3747535
And everything is going to be alright!!!
But first things first flash the latest firmware of your phone and then follow the steps from the link! I did it myself and it's really awesome...

Thanks for your reply
that's what i done :
reinstalled Stock recovery by Odin
then installed latest Nougat Stock ROM by Odin
All OK !
I was in mistake forcing to install a MM Rom ( stock ) but wasn't right on what version had to install ( due to some missing information regarding Phone )
So now I'm ok ..obviously lost Root access ..but have OTA updates OK
Thank You again
..for the root again I'll have a look later

You just have to wait upto 6 days for the rmm thing to reset so you can flash again stuff. If you don't want to find yourself in a bootloop or have to wait again a week flash the thing in twrp on the post I send after 6 days (then you will have the ability go flash twrp again) notice you mustn'tlet your phone die or don't restart your phone by yourself. (Better see post for further information)

.
OK !
..to be honest I'm playing wit Nougat just to see differences from MM
Not sure to reinstall a Custom ROM till I'll found a very stable one
what I'll have to do surely will be Root access ..but not at the moment

Sorry to tell you but... once you updated the bootloader you can't go back to MM... you can still flash the MM files expect the bl one in Odin but the performance will be awful

..
I dont want to go back to MM
I prefer to keep Nougat with root access in the future
Device seems OK now and restored all Apps as it was before plus some new from Nougat default

Hi all , today I've flash the stock rom for my Note 2 , but after that , my Note 2 cannot registered on the network and the IMEI was change to 0049xxx...
Then I've flash the new Modem here as this guy told http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43037352&postcount=134.
But in Odin , I choose the file in PDA tab instead of Phone Tab and the modem can still flash ok. After that ,when reboot my phone , it cannot turn off every time the screen is off. And I can't make my phone become normal , i've reflash the stock rom many times , but that didn't help.
Someone please help me?

it may be related to the wrongly placed modem.tar earlier.. just try flashing another rom, custom one just to see whether the problem still persist.. or have you tried the pre-rooted stock rom that dr.ketan had provided?
Hi among4239bulan , i used the Mobile Odin to flash the rescue firmware , and seems that the problem was gone. Thanks for your help , I really appreciate that ^^

Its okay if the procedure was completed...reset will change to pass by itself... After some time
If u experiencing a bootloop still
Boot into stock recovery
Wipe data(this will delete everything on internal memory including pics videos ... Etc
One workaround to save data is
Flash a custom recovery after odin flash..
Go into custom recovery
Wipe data from there.. Bingo

Galaxy S3 Major Root Confusion Update!

Hello Please if possible be very Noob friendly with your instructions, thanks
Ok I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S3 AT&T on Firmware 4.3
So I noticed the 4.4.2 Update came out and i really want to update to it but I couldn't OTA because it would say update failed later discovered this is because my S3 is rooted
Now I am in the middle of trying to unroot my galaxy s3 and am very confused i tried doing backup and reset obviously that didnt work i am very confused on how this Odin software works so if you someone could give me very noob specific directions it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in Advance
Just open the SuperSU app and select Full Unroot. Let it do its thing and you're unrooted.
Or follow enewman17's thread for how to update.
I believe unrooting will only be successful if none of the AT&T apps were removed from the device. I forgot about that point and I had to flash the 4.3 stock image in order to successfully install the OTA update to 4.4.2. The OTA will try to patch all that ATT bloat during installation; if its not there it will fail.

I used this method in post #1 to go back to stock 4.3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565972
Contrary to other posts...I only had Auto Reboot checked and that worked for me.
This will also wipe all data from your device...make sure you backup pics/vids/contacts/etc. before you do this.
After you take the OTA update, I can also confirm that TowelRoot will successfully root the ATT GS3 running KitKat. Although the documentation says no reboot is required...I needed a reboot after rooting with towelroot.

Correct...make sure you put your phone in download mode as well (Hold down Volume Down, Center Home, and Power buttons together for about 10 seconds...When your screen turns off, let go of the Power button but keep holding down Volume Down and Center Home buttons....When you see the warning screen, hit Volume Up button...Connect a microUSB cable from your phone to computer...Run Odin...click on “PDA”, then choose the file you downloaded...click on Start once Odin "loads" the file...wait 10-15 minutes for the flash too occur...after coming back from a reboot you should be on stock 4.3)

Your Odin flash failed because you tried to flash a much older firmware. LEM. You need to flash the 4.3 firmware. You can use this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2722660
Enewman17 has one too I think. Not sure where exactly right now though.

I don't have this device so its apparently a little different than I'm used to in this regard. Check post 13 of that thread to see if that helps. Otherwise someone more familiar with that particular process will need to chime in.

I'm thinking about factory reset. Would I lose root and unlocked bootloader or brick possibly? But I've also seen factory reset doesn't help in most cases. I've fixed this before by downloading the correct apk on my note 2. And I'm 100 percent certain I have the right one this time. I've also cleared the caches and things. I'm a techy person. I've tried all the things.
Edit:
Actually I've been looking for a performance increasing rom without losing too many features. There's a lot I don't care about. Anyone know of a good one for this dev converted retail verizon one yet?

Are the date & time & timezone correct on your phone? Can you get to google.com from the phone's browser?
If the date & time settings are correct, try just uninstalling all updates and clearing data for Google Play Services, Google Play Store, and Google Services Framework. Make sure nothing Google related has been disabled or uninstalled.
Factory reset is safe, you won't lose dev status that way. Flashing factory firmware that contains an aboot.mbn will lose your dev status, and you'll have to go through the conversion again.

The phone does connect to the internet. I've done all the things in the list aside from factory reset. Would you retain root? And nothing google has been disabled.
If you can retain root after a reboot, you should retain root after a factory reset. If a factory reset doesn't work, you can try flashing one of the safe upgrade packages in Odin and re-rooting.

Factory reset did nothing. Now it doesn't even let me try to sign in. Just straight to the can't connect error.
I found a Google Apps package that has all the Google Apps in it but when I tried to flash the zip it said I had the wrong one. Could someone point me in the right direction? Would reinstalling the gapps package even do anything? Any help is greatly appreciated. Until I fix this my phone is practically unusable.
The gapps package said it couldn't install when I tried the zip from twrp. I'm really in need of some help. I can't use my phone at all since I've factory reset it and the play store won't work.
Edit: I tried wiping the cache and dalvik cache in twrp and now my phone is boot looping. Yay

Is this a custom rom that you're on or official build, and if so, which build are you on? If you're on the latest official build 5.1.1 (BPA1), then like someone else suggested above, I'd suggest making sure that you have Samsung USB drivers installed on your PC, putting your phone in Downlode Mode, connecting it to the PC and using Odin to flash hsbadr's N910VVZW2BPA1 Stock Restore (Incremented) (your unlocked bootloader will be preserved) and twrp-2.8.5.0-trltevzw.img.tar, then using recovery to flash a permissive kernel such as MultiSystem kernel for TouchWiz 5.1.1. and then BETA-SuperSU-v2.71-20160331103524.zip to reroot. That should at least get your device booted up and working again.

Then your bootloader version most likely doesn't match the file you're flashing. Do you know the last official build that you were on, and which file that I linked you to did you attempt to Odin flash just now, the Stock Restore one or the Stock Restore Incremented? If you at any point accepted the official OTA to Lollipop, then your bootloader has been incremented, meaning you'll need to flash the Stock Restore Incremented file. However, if you stayed on Kit Kat, then flash the plain Stock Restore file.

I did take the ota. Now it boots straight to odin mode and says to use verizon software repair assistant.
I was on 5.1.1 I see what I need. I'll try this right now.

That's okay, it'll do that when ever there has been a flash fail. We can fix it. If you accepted the official OTA to Lollipop then your bootloader has been incremented, meaning you'll need to flash the N910VVRU2BPA1_StockRestore_Incremented.tar.md5.7z file. Be sure and visit the original post and give hsbadr thanks for his restore file though.

Samsung S9 No Signal Issue

I bought the phone locally, knowing of the issue. The seller claimed that it worked fine before, but started having this No Singal issue recently. The model of my motherboard is G960F, and right now the android version that's on my S9 is Android Pi; SM-G960U1. My IMEI is there. I am not getting to flash anything because of Qualcomm Secureboot. Any advice given would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

that doesnt make sense unless youre trying to flash firmware with a bootloader revision prior to the last one that was flashed on your phone. Get the most recent firmware for your specific country here. Use the regular CSC file so that it will completely factory reset your phone and that should fix your issue. Let me know what happens after you flash that. And download it with the Frija tool. Not sure if i mentioned that tool already as i cant see the prior responses when replying and ive mentioned it several times today already lol
