TMO S8+ system download manager - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hey all, since about a week ago my phone keeps notifying me of four pending files waiting to be downloaded by the system download manager.
It's waiting for wifi to download.
The notification bar pulldown shows the four files titles as "English version" with no details.
How do I access the download manager other than the app manager which only gives app info and no access to it to open.
Or where do I find the location of the pending files? I have no idea what these files could be.
Thanks

pop-up appearing on main android screen

Recently installed cyanogenmod and installed few additional application however, starting few days ago, lot of popup with advertisement showing up on main screen which is testing my nerve. These are not in-app popup shows up usually in the app screen. IT shows up on main screen. I am bit not sure on how to get rid of it. Once popup it will disappear if I hit any button therefore it is hard to say where the source is from. There is nothing in the status bar. Anyone has suggestion?

It's not in the play store because it isn't in googles best interest. Go look at the application subforum, you'll find it over there.
Give this a go used it on my wife's phone for the same exact reason

Pop up ads
Use AVG AntiVirus. You have a malware app on your phone. You can uninstall the app in 'settings'. The problem is finding the malicious program because the name is cleverly masked to deceive you that is an actual system program. AVG should be able to find the app.
I suggest you scan using bitdefender or avast as well as uninstalling the apps you installed before or do a complete reset. Otherwise you're in bad shape.

Missing settings apk. HELP!

I use a Samsung Galaxy S3 running the latest nightly build of Cyanogenmod 11. Somehow or another, the settings app disappeared. It's not in the app drawer, when I try to access the app using the quick settings panel, nothing happens. And when I try to drag an app from the home screen to the "App Info" tab I get a pop-up notification saying "application is not installed". I've tried updating my phone but it didn't work and all of my back-ups are not working either! I'm thinking it may be the Trebuchet launcher that comes with CM 11 hiding the app shortcut. I've went into the file manager and did some digging and I did find some files related to the app, but what worries me is that I couldn't find the .apk file. Help would be greatly appreciated! I'm attaching some screenshots for reference.

that's easy just get the Setting APK from any AOSP/CM11 rom for your S3 and use Root Browser to put it into System/Priv-App set permissions to 0644/rw-r--r-- then reboot your phone and you should have it but preferably use the Settings Apk that is made for your rom
Do I find the ROM for my S3 that contains the app on the internet? If so, do you think you could link me to a website? I'm not having much luck here. I've been searching for hours and I still have no luck.

I'm assuming that the model number is SPH-L710, since it's not one of the international models. My service provider is Sprint. And I am currently running the very latest CM 11 build. I can't give a specific name because that's something the CM Updater could tell me. But that's only accessible through the settings app or if an update notification pops up in the notification shade.

seccomp-bpf sandbox - what is it?

Has anyone ever come across this happening in chrome browser? Every time I download something it comes up with a toast saying "the past hour" and the box in the screenshot always comes up when searching with Google.
Malwarebytes also won't finish a virus check...

Thanks for all the help anyway guys...
Cleared the data on chrome and it decided to cooperate. The box in the window is now replaced with the location request from Google. No idea what went wrong.

Icons in folders gone after app update

Hi guys,
I organized most of my apps in folders. But for me it's very annoying that after an app update the app icon disappears in its folder.
I'm not really sure if it just happens with app updates which doesn't come from play store or both.
I'm on the latest official OOS.
Same here. Happens everytime I update via playstore
