Charge flex for g3223? - Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra Questions & Answers

Hello. I want to repair my xperia. A capacitor from the charge flex dissapeared, making it useless.
Ive been trying to find the flex around internet and there are only for g3226.
My question is, these charge flex are compatible for my g3223? Is there something on the internet that can help me?

Repair USB connector; possible or not?

Hello all.
I dropped my phone pretty hard the other day. I dropped it many times before so I didn't think there would be any damage besides that the battery popped out.
Once I got home and wanted to charge my Artemis I noticed that my USB connector is gone!
Well, I found myself a spare one on eBay, but as I looked at the connections on the circuit board of my Artemis I started to doubt the possibility to put another USB connector in there.
Some pins seem to be damaged real bad but not all of them, and then again I only want to be able to charge my phone and will not use the USB connector for syncing or using a headphone.
Can someone take a look at the picture I took and see if its still possible to attach a new USB connector to my Artemis and if it will at least be able to charge the battery?

Many thanks!
Repair of the USB mini port
Hey,
Could you send a picture with more sharpness, because i can't see it that well.
I already see that you have been soldering on top (close to your serial number).
Kind Regards
Bramatus
As long as you have got the correct connector then the way you do it is to remove the solder that is on the pads on the board and apply solder PASTE to the pins of the connector, then with a very COOL soldering iron gently touch the pins just long enough to flow the solder on.

I suggest you try to post a Wanted ad in the Marketplace section. If anyone has one to offer, that's your best chance.
I´m sure I saw today someone selling Universal parts, not sure if motherboard...

You may use some thin cable (to use as jumper) in case the pads are broken and connect to nearest point.
Also you can buy a cheap card reader which has the same mini-usb connector. Desolder it and connect to the uni if your usb connector itself is broken.
the USB connector itself is sold on eBay for around $5, works very well on Uni or any device with the same connector. However, if the pads are damaged, it might be impossible to have one reattached.
I can offer Mda Pro's motherboard. Working good. Once fell down and display was damaged..
Message me if good for you.
yeah, some of the pads a fubar, thanks for the help people
Broken USB repair
I notice you live in the UK, I can fix the USB connector for you. Even if the pads are missing there are some test points on the board that you can solder fine wires to. I have done half a dozen of these repairs so far, this seems to be the most common problem with the Uni, even more so than borken screens. One of these days I'll have to do a 'how to' guide for it.
that would be nice, my soldering skills are up to the job, i just dont know how too, if you drop me a pm or something we can discuss it further
thanks
Guys, if you could jot down what you do and perhaps a piccy of the solder points, this would be great to put in the Wiki.
Hello people,
If its any help, my usb connection came off twice. both times it was resoldered back on with a standard soldering iron with the tip made to a point, and it still works OK. I found it easy to do, just needs a steady hand.

thats all well and good. but the copper pads that are used to solder the connector to the mainboard are fubar, so no amount of soldering will help

[Q] Problem with micro usb port or what?

Good evening.
My friend gave me to fix his phone, and here what's wrong with this phone - when I put his on charger red led blinks for a ~10secs and then orange (idk, maybe it's red ) and green led appears. And they blinking all time. I thought it was a problem with a battery, but when I charge it with wires it's ok, DZ boot's up. Everything looks OK, just won't charge. Ow, and when I selected HTC Sense when usb connected, my laptop can't install drivers for DZ, and nothing appears in My Computer.
Where's the problem?
Should I buy a new micro usb and replace old one?
Can i replace it with heat gun? I have same practice with solder iron, but not with small "items" soldering, like this one.
c'mon, someone..
try other usb cables and pcs first, if you find this problem persists than it's very likely the port
no, a heat gun wont suffice, you will need to solder.
It isnt too hard but if you're not comfortable i would advice to find someone who is as it could easily fry the board if done wrong
the port should be cheap, if you look around less than $5 and an electronic shop i cant image would charge more than $20 to do this (but dont know for sure)
best of luck!

Hello,
Recently I changed the entire display to my note2 i7100 and works perfectly. The issue is the phone wont charge.. Replaced the battery. I ordered a usb charger flex and replaced it. And still nothing..
I tried with other chargers and nothing happens..
Can anyone help me to find the issue?
Thanks!
Probably not the fix you were looking for but certainly easier lol and less chance of causing more damage too

My friend I guess that the charging base (this module that takes the current to the battery to charge it)
is damaged, so you might need to change it.
Hello thanks for the replies.
But I need to fix the phone. I don't want an external charger.
I would like to know what is causing this issue.
Bought a flex charger in ebay.
But nothing, it does not work..
Maybe is a motherboard damage?
Thanks!

I am not talking about an external charger my friend,
Here is the thing, when you plug your charger to the phone, the port that you plug the wire in is
a part of a module connected to the battery, and that thing might be damaged.
My recomendation is to save yourself time and effort, and send it to a maintenance shop or store,
they will replace the base and probably won't cost you that much.

[Q] Charging Port issue

I am having this issue on my phone where my phone is not charging when i plug in USB cable. Only after i adjust the wire by moving it to the side it starts charging. And on top of that it frequently stops charging and i've to readjust it which is really annoying.
On searching i found this might be an issue of loose USB port.
So i called up HTC and they are like they will need atleast 20-25 days to repair the phone and they will be replacing the whole motherboard to fix this issue. Since my phone is not in warranty and HTC is charging very high plus lot of time , is there anything else i can do to fix the issue ?
i tried cleaning usb port with toothpick to filter out any dirt but no difference.
Have you tried another cable? I've had a couple of them would cause the same issue. I'd use a different cable and the phone charged fine. It may well be you have a problem with the port but if you haven't tried a different cable, it might be worth trying. It might surprise you.

Try another cable. Worst case scenario, the charging port board can be changed separately. It's available online for about 15 dollars at etradesupply.
