Screen protector - Nokia 6.1 (2018) Questions & Answers

Anyone found a glass screen protector which actually adheres? The one I have won't stick at the edges which I have surmised is a common problem

Well , let me help you with that. The only armband that will work with the wet applied screen protectors are the ones w/o the plastic film in front of the display (if there even is such thing). The main problem of wet screen protectors is the soft and rubbery surface that will make them adhere to any smooth surface.

CaseMate Screen Protector

Just wondering if anyone else has installed the Casemate Screen protector for the i747 S3? I've been having trouble with first one I installed -- the edges of the screen protector don't seem to want to stick down, so around the entire edge of the screen the protector isn't sealed. I have a feeling dust will slowly creep in and eventually peel off the screen protector. Is this just me or as anyone else had this problem?
Anyone got any recommendations for a better screen protector?

Issues with tempered glass screen protector

I had a glass protector installed by the store where I purchased the G3, and when I put the phone inside a simple TPU case the edges of the protector were raised and a big bubble showed up
near the corner at the bottom.
Is this a problem related to the quality of the glass protector ?
I never had this issue with old fashioned plastic screen protectors.
I suspect it could be that the tempered glass is not properly aligned. I have one also with a case and there is no effect whatsoever.

I went back to the store and had them put on a new glass protector and this time it appears to be ok for now.
I will have to see if the problem does not re-appear after taking the phone out the case a few times.

Scratched screens, glass screen protectors and LOCA glue.

After spending hours reading threads and watching note 7 videos including the infamous JRE note7 scratch test I went on a search to find a proper glass screen protector for the device.
In my findings there isn't one that works well with cases, and NOT a single one has adhesive on the whole screen, only top and bottom or the corners.
Then I remembered how I spent time fixing my Galaxy s4 and used the bundled LOCA glue ( something optical clear adhesive) and a UV flashlight to glue the glass to the LCD for clarity and remove space between the screens.
As far as I know nobody tried actually glueing a clear screen protector with LOCA glue which could solve the two main problems right now : rainbow/halo effect and the edge sides lifting.
Just an Idea I had... what do you think guys, would it work?

Hi,
I've did some "research" as well, and found that the JETech tempered glass screen protector shouldn't show any rainbow effects. On top of that, it should be case-friendly. There's one video one YouTube demonstrating this.
Otterbox' Alpha glass should be a good option as well.
Mind you that I didn't try these out myself, since I didn't receive my Note 7 yet.
Good luck!

Plastic screen protector over Whitestone Dome Glass?

So I splurged and bought the Whitestone Dome Glass protector and a week later I've got a crack across the middle of the glass. I can't pinpoint exactly how it happened, I'm typically very careful with my phone but here I am with a crack.
My questions are: Once I get a replacement whitestone dome glass with my warranty, should I consider putting a plastic protector over the whitestone dome glass?
Have any of you tried this before?
Will the screen retain typical sensitivity?
Just a thought I've had since it cracked so quickly with no obvious reason. I've read too many great reviews to think this is a normal event and don't want to keep paying for replacements.

In theory it should work since most screen protectors are glass on top of a plastic layer. It may have some negative effects on the touch screen but idk how minimal.
Idk why you'd do that tho, for me glass screen protectors are about the feel of the glass, there's some really inexpensive options on eBay for glass screen protectors. I got one for less than $5 and it has lasted me far longer than my white stone did. Going on about 2 months on the same protector with no cracks or lift.
