[Guide] How to downgrade from Android 7 N to Android 6 MM for the H830 - T-Mobile LG G5 Guides, News, & Discussion

Make sure you are on H83020a (H83020a_00_1107.kdz) and have TWRP installed
Flash H83010d (LG-H83010D-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip) in TWRP
I had to do this because in android 7 you cannot write security files to the H830

Need Serious Help!!! No OS!!!

Hi Guys,
I Bought My N7 2013 A Year Ago...Later A Month Before I Rooted It And It Worked Perfectly...But When Android System Update Showed Up I Was Unable To Install It... I Used Factory Stock Android 6.0 Image To Flash It On My N7 Using Wugfresh's Nexus Root Toolkit. But The Steps Ended Up in NO OS In TWRP Screen.
Need Help TO Flash Stock Image Without Using NRT As Every time I Proceed I Get Stuck In Unlocking Bootloader Step( My Device Is Already Unlocked And Rooted)
Device : Nexus 7 2013 32GB Edition
Bootloader: Unlocked
Recovery: TWRP
Build Version: LMY48G
Android Version: 5.1.1
This is a good guide: http://androidforums.com/threads/guide-how-to-flash-a-nexus-factory-image-manually.706533/
Just use the 6.0 image instead of the one in the guide.
Manually is the way to go. The latest wugfresh has a bug causing that bootloader issue. To root the most current OS right now u need to use beta SuperSU v2.52 and elementalx-n7-5.04 kernel.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Free mobile app

Can I downgrade and root my LG G4 H818P v20h-AME-xx device?

Hello first of all I have never tried rooting/downgrading a device before. AFAIK there is no way to root my h818p v20h device running android 6.0 but is there any chance to downgrade it to lollipop and root?
of course, you can downgrade and flash a .img rooted.

Upgrading to Android 10 on Redmi Note 8

Hello guys, I knew yesterday that Android 10 finally came out for Redmi Note 8, however for now the china version is the only one available, flashable via UPDATE.APP, right?
That's my question: I'm currently on stock Android 9, but with unlocked bootloader and root with MAGISK.
If I do the update to Android 10, will the bootloader be locked again? Will I be able to unlock again? And I guess I'll lose root too, will be possible to root with Magisk?
Thanks in advance

Just clean flash rom through recovery+flash magisk that's all. Backup everything before flashing. After flashing if reboot redirects to recovery then simply format data partition and reboot again.

i think you can not update this with update app, this update is only for beta tester
you can clean flash it with recovery, if you do this you lose everything along root, data, pictures etc
if you just want miui 12, you also can try eumiui 12 beta with Android 10 or wait for global stable
whatever you choose to do you can not lock your bootloader again even if you select it in mi flash tool you will just brick your device and, bricked device is bigger problem than locked bootloader
Wait for the official OTA update

flash twrp then flash magisk and your phone will have root; However, you can't decrypt internal storage (internal storage in twrp won't be accessible, force encryption disabler works on android 9 not 10).
also lockscreen and biometrics won't work, you can't set a lock/pin/fingerprint on your device (fix for biometrics works on android 9 not 10)
so i don't know if you want to stay on android 10, i rolled back to android 9 till there's a fix for the issues above.

This is a General Motorola Guide
If you need more help Please create a thread in your device's forum.
Mention me by Posting "@sd_shadow" I'll help you as much as I can...
Required
Android SDK Platform Tools (ADB,Fastboot.exe)
Stock Motorola Firmware A good source is https://t.me/MotoUpdatesTracker
PC
Download the stock firmware for your device.
unzip find the servicefile.xml open it with a Text editor, Like Notepad++
Copy the code, and paste @ https://kfhost.net/flashfile
you get a list of flash commands.
Android SDK
I usually just copy the files from platform-tools folder to the firmware folder
Windows
I also place a copy of cmd.exe in the firmware folder
Minor Update
With Minor updates, the old boot.img is the same as the new one.
Skip or remove these commands (you may not have a recovery.img)
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Major Update
With big updates the boot.img will need to be repatched
Run all the Flash commands
Reroot using the method used before.
or see Magisk Non-Twrp root Method
