TWRP and Root on a locked Bootloader - Android 6.0. Smartphone LG G4 h815 - G4 Android Development
Hello, all very warmly on the forum
I am asking you with a very polite request for information whether TWRP Recovery is already available
which can be installed on a locked Bootlader in the LG G4 h815?
I currently have an Android 6.0 MM smartphone in it.
As described in the Google Play Store, the official recovery application is available for download
TWRP - there is no description in the description for it to be unblocked
bootloader.

With a locked bootloader, you need to install this one:
[TWRP][any G4][BL LOCKED] TWRP-in-FIsH for all LOCKED G4 devices by steadfasterX - it works a charm ... but ... you will need to downgrade to Android 5.1 and root your phone first. Note: You will not be able to install custom roms as long as your bootloader is locked.

An Official Oreo edition for LG G4 h815 has not been released as far as I am aware, nor is it likely to be since very few LG G4's have even had a Nougat version release, let alone an Oreo release.
If you want Oreo you will have to unlock your bootloader and install a custom rom. Can't comment on stock Oreo vs Nougat optimization, nor can anybody else, I suspect as far as the LG G4 - you'll have to check the LG G4 Android development forums to get an idea from the custom rom versions being devloped - AOSCP or Lineage - both are not fully stable as yet though - Nougat versions are currently better as daily drivers.

I'll ask, if you have H815 there's a high chance you can save your time and effort and just unlock it with official LG unlock method.

Do you want to record a video like you enter the twrp from the combination of power buttons by volume down? Please, write in this method did you make your LG G4 h815? > https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/howto-complete-guide-to-unlock-twrp-t3370003
I was flashing this method from this link - but from the command in the recovery terminal it runs to a temporary one. The command for flashing enters the terminal, however, the twrp will not be taken from the combination of the power and volume down buttons. Therefore, write which application to flush root in Android MM 6.0? The application from the Google Play oficialna store to TWRP Recovery requires the root done earlier. I am asking you for your advice.

So, you're saying that you have flashed TWRP to your boot partition and asking how to revert it back? Easiest way would be just to reflash ROM(it will overwrite boot partition) or you can download Titan kernel and flash it instead(download it on PC and use USB MTP to transfer file to G4). If you want to ask how to get to TWRP via key combo then I'll tell you it's quite simple after few times especially if you're good with using your G4 one handed. When phone is off press and hold both volume down and power, then when you feel vibration and see LG logo release power button(but keep pressing volume down!) and the after briefly a second hold both buttons again. If you succeeded factory reset prompt should appear. Then press yes twice and you're in TWRP(don't worry, nothing will be wiped, it's just how LG's bootloader work). I unlocked my G4 with official method like 1.5 year ago(there wasn't unofficial unlock back then) but I did a backup of my stock v20g software with relock possibility(in case of bootloop). Now you can relock officially with Nougat bootloader

Help with LG G4 Model Number
Hi, I am confused regarding my LG G4 model number. Because Under About Phone -> Hardware Info it shows LG-H815. But when I connect it to pc & using adb devices, adb lists it as LGLS991e484402e. Also LS991 0423 is printed on back of the phone near camera & speaker. But under the battery the sticker with IMEI displays LG-H815 ! What is the model number ? I need to find it in order to update it.
Are you checking for compatibility with a rom? If so, H815 is the number you're looking for.

If I use Vol up+ & insert usb cable then I get "Secure boot error 1014" & if i use adb reboot-bootloader or reboot bootloader phone restarts normally. Also fastboot mode is not working. Fastboot devices either do nothing or waiting for device ! USB debugging & OEM unlock is on.

But almost all of them says that it is because of locked bootloader & to unlock the bootloader I need to enter fastboot mode (Not working as of now) also I have tried many drivers mentioned in the posts (LG universal, LG WHQL etc), LG Bridge, LG PC suit, LG flash tool, LG mobile support tool etc & Also tried the same things on Windows 7.
I don't really know much about fastboot problems, you'll have to look elsewhere for help. Sounds like that's your next step, though. Look for people who can help you get fastboot/download mode working.

No bootloader?
Good morning, Having bought a phone LG G4 from China I doubt a bit of their ROM (we never know if they added cookies or what ..) So I decide to get started in the installation of a custom ROM. So already I notice that the phone is already rooted (while it was under blister). Well then I have to unlink the bootloader and I must restart in fastboot but nothing done I can not access the bootloader ?? I tried with the command window (adb reboot bootloader) but it restarts on the home screen .. ditto with an app boot manager, I go back every time on the home screen. How come? I do not have a bootloader or what ?? Thank you for clearing me up. Sorry for my english

Click to collapse not all LG G4 can be bootloader unlocked only some european and tmobile usa one. if you had root maybe it was on lollipop phone is bootloader locked.. in lollipop only it can be rooted using system.img rooted. and injecting.. but if you update to MM with locked bootloader it cant be done. no root nothing.. also downgrading in somephones to lower android version bricks phones they have antirollback.. not sure it it applies to all g4. mine does it tmobile.. maybe other can be downgrade. see if yours can at lest to have it rooted..

Mine is on LP but I can't update to MM (the category update is missing in settings) wich I think is due to the seller chinese, he did some strange things on the phone I think.

SO a game I was playing stopped supporting android 6, which is in my device currently and I have the only model who can update normally. Is there any way to upgrade manually to android 7 nougat? or in a higher version if possible?

Okay so Iooking through this, I needed to use SALT....which I have to use mAid to do so. so I try putting together my old 2014 computer parts and tried booting the MAid ISO up but I've keep getting the message: Device did not show up after 30 seconds. after "starting up 25.1-8 manjaro". I have tried flashing the ISO through ventoy, etcher and rufus and NONE of them will let me boot the ISO. I do not know what to do here.
