Xperia XA1 - recovery deleted photos - Sony Xperia XA1 Questions & Answers

Hi, Maybe Someone has experience/knowledge How can I recover deleted photos from Xperia XA1 (Android 8) or is there possible at all?
Accidentally my Wife has deleted all photos from her gallery ('made by Camera'). Unfortunately there was no backup in Google cloud.
I tried use some recovery tools for Windows but, Xperia XA1 is detected as device instead of a resource with a label like e.g. external or local drive (with a letter ).

[Q] Need help with restoring original Xperia Play SE pictures, SE songs and SE videos

Does anyone have access to the original xperia play pictures (for example the one with a kitty, beach etc), sounds (some ****ty SE mp3 songs) and videos that the phone came installed with? I accidentally deleted them and need them ASAP. Those files were stored on the SD card from the very beginning I had the phone from the network retailer (Orange Poland).
Recovering files doesn't work. I only get a part of it which you can see below.
Below you can see what photos I am talking about. Those are just the preinstalled SE files. Maybe some1 have the same files and could upload them for me?

Sent from my R800i using XDA App

where this machine store "welcome" message and recorded calls ?
fucceeded tedeleg
so? no one knows what it is?
i mean that is, where the FILES store . i need to backup records :cyclops:
Apparently on the /data partition, same as SMS messages and contacts etc, so you'll need root to explore/backup, or use Sony's backup (I guess).

Install PC Companion and use its backup feature for desktop, or use Sony's Backup application that came pre-installed on your phone (search App drawer). I haven't tested either with answerphone messages yet.
How I back up the answering machine...
I finally have it all worked out.
On My C4 (E5333) the messages can be found in the protected folder /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/app_voicemail-data
To be able to access these messages, you’ll need to root your device. I used “King Root” to do this since it can be done entirely from the phone, but your handset might differ.
To back up these files I just use “FolderSync Lite” from the Play Store. It supports root permissions. I sync these to my Google Drive. (I sync one way only.)
To play these files on Windows you need to rename them by adding the .amr extension. They seem to play OK in Media Player Classic or VLC Media Player.
A simple batch file can do this: ren *. *.amr
To Sync these messages to another handset, I use “DriveSync” although FolderSync Lite could have done it too. Then, on that handset I have an ES File Explorer shortcut widget to the Answering Machine folder, along with another “DriveSync Sync Now” widget. VLC Media Player on Android can play these files, even if you don’t add the extension.

The sony xperia app? It sucks
From finder i was not able to access any files on phone, only through sony companion app
You can always use Android File Transfer
http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/
You can use pushbullet's new app called portal fast wifi transfer(depending on your modem or lan speed)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pushbullet.android.portal

Sony Xperia S hacked and hijacked

Hi everyone!
I have this Sony Xperia S that has been hacked by someone else, and it seems like the smartphone still works but it's not 100% functional. Seems like (I'm not totally sure about this) the hacker is monitoring the smartphone and transferring some files to a personal email account).
As far as I've could see there's no Google Play available so there's no way of installing anything, the PC doesn't recognize it and there's no way of synchronize the Google accounts to backup files, the option (as many others) is missing, the option to reset the settings without delete user files doesn't work at all, the only solution seem to be a full reset but that would delete the personal files.
Has someone experienced the same situation? there's a way to backup those files in that state?
Thanks in advance.

Are you able to sideload the app?
You can download it directly from the WhatsApp site.
However, if it needs Google Play Services to work correctly, then you're probably out of luck, unless you have a custom recovery and can flash a GApps package.
AFAIK this should work:
- Create a local backup in Whatsapp
- Copy the WhatApp folder from your old phone to your new phone using a computer
- Install WhatsApp on your new phone and restore the backup

I tried this method, its described on whatsapp help page:
Restore from a local backup
If you want to use a local backup, you'll need to transfer the files to the phone using a computer, file explorer or SD Card.
To restore your backup:
Download a file manager app.
In the file manager app, navigate to your local storage or sdcard > WhatsApp > Databases. If your data isn't stored on an SD card, you might see "internal storage" or "main storage" instead. Copy the most recent backup file to the local storage's Databases folder of your new device.
Install and open WhatsApp, then verify your number.
Tap RESTORE when prompted to restore your chats and media from the local backup.
-----
But it doesn`t prompt me to restore from local backup, just google account.
That's strange. I remember I used it some years ago when Google Backup was not yet available.
Last time I installed WhatsApp I first copied the directory Internal Storage/Android/media/com.whatsapp to the new phone using MiXplorer. Then during installation everything was restored, with the exception of the messages of the current day. These I lost.

P40 is still Android 10 I guess so maybe in /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/
Its Android 11.
HEY. So I've found a good solution for this. On your huawei phone without google services, install GSPACE
. After that clone your whatsapp in gspace, open Whatsapp in gspace, then login there with your number. Local backup will be reckognized, accept it. Then go to your backup options in settings in the gspace whatsapp and backup to google drive. Then login on your new phone and use backup from google drive. I couldn't find that tutorial anywhere but it worked for me

there´s a more complex way
1- If you have access to huawei phone with GSM services ( P30 Pro or another one) you can use the phone clone app to copy whatsapp from your P40 pro to these device
2- After this you have to do a backup with google drive
3- From the huawei phone with GSM services you can copy the whatsapp folder to the new S22 and restore everything with any loose
