Read the threads all info is their.
You will have to wait 7 days without a reboot.
After you see oem option you need read the threads on rooting your device.

Finally someone replied atleast. Thanks a lot man appreciate that you replied. Sign of relief. Yeah I was looking at the some of the forums yesterday and I saw that some were saying you have to wait somedays like week or more to get this option enabled or show up but I wasnt sure that was that all true about having to wait for OEM UNLOCKING to popup?
Anyways I updated my rom 2 days ago and I have been restarting my phone since that day . So you mean to say whenever I will restart the timer for OEM UNLOCKING to expire will go back to 0 ZERO ????

I kept my phone running for consecutive 7 days equaling to 168+ hours but the OEM UNLOCK ? option never appeared. So now what is the problem and what's the solution?

if you have the 730f I recommend you that there is no twrp nor root
if the device comes with blocked OEM,
There's a lot of XDA posts here, but they suck.
the cel always stays brick

I have a 730f and I have been rooted since day one.
All factory unlocked 730f can be rooted unless you bought it from your carrier.

Here is what I did to OEM unlock
I flashed Russian OREO firmware and updated to PIE using the built in system updater. (I did it 2 times, I don't know if that has something to do with it)
After that, I flashed TWRP and a custom rom.
Hope this helps. I never get through with the 7-day method.

Does it matter what version OS you are on? Just get a sim card from AT&T and plop it in. Course you'll need the code to unlock it...
I did it a couple Days ago.
Went back one baseband to the one before UVALL. Something K8? Did the menu trick and then back to UVALL.
The baseband are flashable from CM. Didn't have to revert to 4.1.1

You messed up by upgrading!!! You lost your unlock and can't get it back!!!!!
Just kidding Once you unlock, you're unlocked for good. You can flash as many ROM's, kernels, or modems you want.
No need to fear, you're good to go :victory: Enjoy your trip!!

Not so simple anymore. T-Mobile used to be very good about unlocking, but they recently changed their policy.
They require 18 months on the last contract before issuing a code. So you don't unlock and run, I suppose.
Personally, that's my signal to run.
Having been a loyal customer for over 13 years, and fulfilled half a dozen contracts despite unlocks, I'd appreciate a little trust.
But there is no loyalty in this world. So hack and root and run it is.
(I'll recoup the early termination fees in 3-4 months)

custom recovery . any source to get development updates?

Hey guys,I was wondering if theres any development blogs ,sites, that may get us an indication about what's going on with the custom recovery?
I'm looking for it now and then but all I get is antique topics about how the phone is just out to market and we should give it a month to see custom roms/recoveries .

T-Mobile is the only one with the bootloader unlocked so they have full access to using recovery and roms, I don't know if other variants are using a recovery yet since I am a vs985 (verizon) user I don't watch them closely
For vs985 we can't get into fastboot mode because verizon decided to remove or disable it, so we can't use tethered recovery (temporarily booting the recovery from adb shell)
I can tell you that Recovery's aren't hard to make at all. its just we don't have a way to use them right now &
Roms will quickly follow after Recovery's are able to be flashed

Any personal thoughts /guesses about how long will it take?
I'm really excited about it , because when I bought my g3 I left my note 2 for experiments, and hell isn't the name for what my oldie note went through.
My point is that I finally learned how to install custom EVERYTHING. from kernel to build.prop, and my hands are itchy to do the same on my g3
Unfortunately and until the bootloader is unlocked, we have to patiently wait for our great devs to unlock this retarded bootloader. It may take a couple of days, it may take a month, it may never happen. We just have to wait. Oh, and friendly advice: never ask for an ETA on xda

no news, this are older "news". you can find them in at&t lg3 forum section with forum search.
be patient, the devs don't like to get stressed and the whole xda drama about unlock.
jcase already said he is able to run custom images but time is the problem to release it. when everyone is stressing them, they will lose interest to unlock under pressure.
when it's ready you will know it. until release be quiet please. thanks.

Device State - locked

I know there are other threads regarding this but those included someone having TWRP already flashed and in this case I do not.
I sadly took a chance and bought a Nexus 5X off someone on Kijiji and it looks like I got got scammed.
I've own other Nexus phones in the past but was unaware of the OEM Lock on the latest devices and it is in a locked state and I do not know the google account to unlock it (as it wasn't my phone prior to this)
None of the fastboot/adb commands work as it is locked.
I just wanted to know if there was any other way I could fix this or if I have brick on my hands here. Any assistance would be amazing as this would mean I just blew my money away.

So you purchased a 5X that wasn't factory reset? Have you tried asking the previous owner for assistance? They might be able to remotely wipe the phone using Android Device Manager.

Sadly you may be right, but like any good thief he seems to be unreachable, so I unfortunately can't get the money back. I have checked the IMEI and it is clean so i should be able to activate it.
I just need a way to bypass the FRP (Factory Reset Protection). I've seen posts on this on XDA but they are for patches up to the March 1st Patch. I build I have is the March Patch and I can't seem to find any workarounds for this patch level.
In the event that someone has found a way please let me know as it would save me a lot of grief.
Thank you for your responses.

I don't know if will help, but the N preview may not include or may reset FRP. Usually OTAs only include the changed files but since the N preview was bricking locked phones, Google released full OTAs that contained everything. You could try flashing it with ADB while in the stock recovery.

I was thinking the same thing but I don't want to make the situation worse than it already is. I have seen vids from RootJunky showing that the N preview is bypassable and it can be done with a reset.
Will the OTA wipe all the data on the device?
Just to be clear are these the OTA's you are referring too? http://developer.android.com/preview/download-ota.html
Thank you for your advice.

Bummer. I was going to suggest THIS. But there isnt a 16 TOT file.
So you were able to successfully flash N from the stock recovery? And you simply couldnt get past the login screen? FRP is a *****. I had no idea what it was when I sold my Moto X Pure Edition last year. I ended up giving the guy I sold it to my password so he could unlock it. That was after about a day of searching for a workaround. Then my sis bought a G4 and when it arrived it was locked with FRP. We ended up finding a tool to wipe it out. Such a pain. Lol. Good luck finding a solution. Let us know if you get it working some other way.

I unfortunately don't have a sim to test with. The one in my current is a micro not a nano. I am going to contact a repair store tomorrow to see if they can assist and I will try it out.
Sorry yes I did exactly as he suggested and it didn't work.
It gives me the option during setup to setup like it was a new phone but then as soon as I connect to my WiFi it performs a check and states the same reset message.
Which is why I might be thinking that it is the 72 hour lock on and maybe it will go away once it is complete.

OEM Unlock for Samsung S9 not shown

I have a brand new sealed Samsung S9 SM-G960F/DS which is most probably Exynos variant however I couldn't find OEM Unlock after activating the developer tools. Any one was able to find an alternative or workaround solution instead of waiting 7 days since I don't have that much time to wait I need to root urgently before a birthday.

A member tested the combination ROM theory yesterday for the same purpose and it bootlooped their phone
The combination ROM will allow you to "OEM unlock" your device, but the RMM prenormal state will prevent you from flashing anything custom. I tried this when I first got my S9.
You need to wait the 7 days on stock in order to be able to actually bootloader unlock your device. Make sure to keep a SIM card in, connect a Samsung and Google account, and don't power it off. There is no workaround for this.

Wonder if it was because the combination ROM firmware is older than the current on the device
Did it factory reset after the flash? If not that might be causing the bootloop, or if the bootloader version is older on combination

Wonder if it was because the combination ROM firmware is older than the current on the device

The way to check the bootloader is here
G960FXXU1BRE5
Version 1
If you boot into Download mode it should say at the bottom BL:1 or whatever version you are currently running, downgrading the BL is usually not possible from what I see lately

Bootloader version 1 for both yours and the comb'n firmware so doesn't seem to be that
Did you factory reset after flashing combination? That's the only thing I can think of that would cause the loop if you didn't

Yea I used Vanced too, much better than the original YT app
I always did full TWRP nandroid backups rather than TiBu, but it's a good app
Not really impressed with the lengths Samsung are going to to prevent us (the phone OWNERS) from doing what we want with OUR own phones tbh
There was a workaround to update system apps with Nougat, literally no harm done to Samsung with us doing that but they still patched it in Oreo
Starting to feel more like an iPhone than an Android, wasn't the whole point of Android that it was basically open and unlocked for us to play with?
Thing is though, Samsung make one of the best android devices available and they know locking it down isn't going to hurt their sales

A member tested the combination ROM theory yesterday for the same purpose and it bootlooped their phone

I appreciate if you can share his thread maybe he got the wrong ROM that bricked the phone.

Omg!!! Please help me

I was trying to root my moto g7 play but I think I got the firmware mixed up with the g7 power and now all its does is show 80012A99-867FDA48-4E357816-0E549F1B-B067FBD5.... I hope I didn't just brick the phone completely. Someone please help me that's all it will do... it won't go back into fastboot or anything.
P.S. My dumb ass forgot to do a backup for it and I can't figure out how to upload any pics to show yall.

Time consuming but thank y'all so much.
Well I got it done at first it showed no baseband but when it rebooted twice it showed up but now it won't get passed the configuring service screen and doesn't give me the option to put in my wifi. What do i do?? Please note that I currently don't have an activated sim card and when I got the phone it didn't come with 1 so I put my sim card in from my note 5.

You still need to flash the full firmware.
The blankflash flashes a bootloader that may not be compatible the other firmware.

So I flash all of the blankflashes??? Should I start fresh and do the blank first then the stock or stock then the blank??

I did what the thread brickhayabusa sent but now it doesn't give me the option to use wifi for the activation confirmation when starting up the phone. It wants me to use my sim card which its not active at the moment. So it stays on the configuring service screen. How do i get it to use the wifi instead? Or do i have to have an active sim card?

One last question tho... if I lock the bootloader back down, will that get the phone to be google certified and let me download games again??

Yes, I would.
Or root with magisk can hide the unlocked bootloader
