[Capture+]: Quickmemo apk from G6 - LG G6 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Quickmemo / Capture+ from G6 / G7 / V30
Hi everybody,
I am looking for the Capture+ app, which is includen in QuickMemo+ from the G6 / G7 / V30 for my V20.
I do not know why, but Capture+ in V20 does not allow long / extended screenshots, whereas on G6 and V30 does and most likely also on the G7
Coming from a lenovo p2 and used to it, taking long screenshots is very common for me and I miss that function on my V20 (H990DS with B&O).
It seems like the LGqmemoplus versions 6.1.6 (from G6) and 6.10.20 (possibly from V30) are not available on any apk-server.
Does anyone have a new quickmemo+ version?
On my phone the software updater says that I have the newest quickmemo version.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Jo

I "installed" this version on my v20. You will not get the extended screenshot your looking for. I had to push the APK to system app folder (or priv-app, or data/app, forgot which one worked), got a system UI crash, then it worked but with the same functionality as the current quickmemo (6.0.17).
So, @tarzanjoe I think we need Oreo for the functionality your looking for.

Hmmm. My friend has got the functionality on his G6 with nougat and quickmemo+ version 6.1.6
He has got the Taiwan version of the G6 with dual sim.
Thank you very much for helping!

Unless there are other components needed in addition to the APK?

@tarzanjoe
Looks like this should work: (I haven't tried it yet):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/themes/long-extended-screenshot-v20-t3825389

It works. I created a folder in system/priv-app called "LgNextCapture" and placed the next capture APK in it, rebooted and done:
(XDA labs had an error, here's a screenshot of the screenshot, lol)

I thought an Android Central review of the Sprint version posted something about this.. I don't have those Apps on the Sprint version in the launcher, I think they said you have to access them through the special launcher page and if you remove the page there is no way to use them. Maybe the firmware update for your version is simply bringing that same setup to your version?
Seems kind of silly though.

Check out #4.
I think they are reviewing US versions and in some cases the Sprint version in particular which seems to have an updated firmware over most other U.S. carriers.. so its possible your EU version got patched and they removed the icons for yours now as well.

G4 Camera for G3

From what I can tell no one has been able to do it yet, but is there a thread or user I can follow about the possibility of the G4 camera app being available for the G3?
I think it has been released already, only works on stock roms tho. I even had the zip somewhere. Even the manual mode works.
I think when Android M comes to G3, the camera app will be the same for G3 and G4

LG Stock Apps

Hello Guys.
I am Using the LG V30 and wants to know If someone can Upload some LG G7 Stock Apps
Not sure why you are posting in the LG G7 section if you have a V30, but whatever.
If you are on Oreo, there isn't much for you yet... You'd have to get the LG Framework and the LG Apps that are compatible with Oreo. HOWEVER, if you are still on a nougat version of android and you already have the LG Framework cause you are using Alpha Rom or Weta Rom, then you're in luck:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120710415 <<< Flash install with TWRP
This was VERY useful when I needed the Quick Remote, LG Gallery, & LG Video player. <<< These are the best apps ever.

Would be great if someone would upload all the original LG apps! Especially including the original LG messaging app. In some regions some apps like this one are not included.

Even if someone posts it you won't be able to install it. It will fail every time. No way to get the stock messaging app if it didn't come pre-installed.
Really? But why? In the V30 forum users have been uploading their stock apps for other people too.

[Solved] Latest version of Stock FM Radio for LG G7+

Can someone please upload the latest signed version (v6.10.x) of stock FM Radio for LG G7+
I've already downloaded v5.30.11 of the stock FM app and so far it's the only version working on my phone (others do not get installed) But I need to upgrade to a more recent version as I feel there are bugs in version 5.30.11
Note: Kindly don't recommend Next Radio or similar third party app as they are not available in my country.
This is the fm radio apk from my lg g7 oreo 8.0.0

just wondering. if this is something that the phone (hardware) already supports. What is it that holds the manufacture (in our case LG) giving this out of the box ? (India LG G7+ Thinq user here)
Also, is it safe to install the .apk here on phones which do not have the functionality ?

I would guess if your version, already has the radio in it then yes.. If it doesn't then it would fail during install... I remember on a previous phone, I tired to install one, and it says not supported.. Won't hurt the phone.
Hey very cool. This worked on a Verizon USA model.

That doesn't seem like the case from the many comments i see on this thread. Many users who do not have the FM radio in their phones have downloaded and installed the apk where it is working fine. Takes me back to my wondering question on what keeps the manufacturer from not providing it out of the box.

Well in my case, it was probably I did not have FM radio period.. I'm not sure, manufactures do some weird crap, the we need to question all the time..
Also worked on my G710PM(which flashed to G710ULM11e). Many thanks!

All LG phones have the hardware support for FM Radio. It's just that in certain models, LG chose not to include the stock (pre-installed) FM Radio app out of the box (probably to make the UI appear less cluttered)
However one has the option to find out the relevant signed apk from reliable sources like XDA and install it manually post which the app will start working flawlessly.
In worst case scenario, it'll show error during or at the beginning of installation (in case the app version is not supported or if the apk is not signed or if the apk package itself is corrupt)
Thanks !! worked on Indian version LG G7 perfectly..!!!
Спасибо большое, очень помогло, установился и заработал без проблем на Lg G7+ Thinq , 9 андроид, сборка Индия

Request for G7 Fit dump

Anyone with the opportunity want to help out a developer?
On the G5 forum there is efforts (and success mind you) to make customized stock rom's based on newer models like V30 and G7.
I'm not the developer myself, but it's clear that anyone with the G7 Fit could help this rom development (by providing some useful
files that are much closer to the G5 than G7 or V30, but still using newer LG framework).
We need vendor and system partition dumps presumably. Take a look here for relevant G5 thread.
You could install patched LGup that allows to selectively dump partitions. This thread has guidance on how to install it.
UPDATE: This request is now obsolete.

OK - I tried the LGup with patched files but ended up in error. Sadly.
But then realized, that in total commander all System files are visible without root permission.
Now tell me, which files you need and I will pack them in a zip file.

Hey there
Thank you for your willingness to assist in this matter.
I had almost forgot about this thread, and the developer mentioned has since left xda for good it seems.
Also I looked up lg-firmwares.com and finally G7 Fit is available there for downloading KDZ's.
This means that you don't have to dump anything, since anyone interested will find it at lg-firmwares.com

Allright. Maybe you can explain to a newbe. Lg fanclub - is good for... what? :silly:
I am looking for a propper method to root my g7 fit, cause it may take a few month to wait for pie update.
You think, any developer is interested in providing a twrp? Or maybe I just didn't get it right? Could not find any hint about where and how to use kdz on lg-firmwares.com in that manner....

You can't root it if LG doesn't provide bootloader unlock (Some hack/exploit may be found, then you'll see it in this forum. Right now as you see; this is the only thread here...).

If and when bootloader gets unlocked, someone will likely build twrp, roms and kernels.
