Download Latest TWRP Recovery
Reboot to recovery
Install zip and select recovery.
reboot to recovery again
Full wipe recomended.

Yes It's in chinese, but you can also change the language to english..

Flashed it 5 minutes ago, it seems to be bootlooping at the Mi logo.
Will update if any progress.

Yeah, that's what I did.
I reflashed after copying the zip to my sd card, and now it booted up.
EDIT: Here's something I just figured out. The rom bootloops if you install Gapps.
EDIT #2: You can install the Gapps using the "Google Installer" app which is found in the MiMarket.

Does the Google framework works normal? I've heard from Facebook xiaomi Group that Google framework not working normaly, like play store force closed. Can you confirm that?

I've been running the rom for a while now, the only problems I've faced are:
1) No deep sleep unless CPU governor is set to "Ondemand".
2) WiFi speeds seem to be a little lower than on stock, but this might be placebo.
Coming to Play Store and other Gapps, I haven't had a single problem with any of them!
They run like a dream
If this is just the RC, then I'm extremely excited for what the Stable version will be like

Also, you should get the Developer's Permission to post his work on xda because you will most likely get into to trouble if they show up and complain....

how did u install gapps ? asking this bcoz after i flash gapps file it's bootlooping.

Fix for gapps on miui6 by syhost
Method:
1.extract the rar file contents to SD card
2.install one by one and restart after installing each apk
3.Done

4. Set permissions to -rw -r -r
5. Reboot System

Speed might be slow due to problems with AFH mirrors.

Excellent job, is it possible to carry more applications?

After copy it and replace the "old" Moto display app, set permissions and reboot, in Moto app, the screen settings do not appear. I don't know if has something to do, but motodisplay.odex does it not influence?

It seem that sensors don't work for ambient screen on
It only work on notification
Gestures work for other things like torch or camera
EDIT: You can install MotoDisplay Handwave (playstore) for proximity working.

Yes the same happend on my stock 7.0 (magisk).
I have to install Motodisplay.But with rootexplorer (busybox) i couldnt Set permissions.... didn know why... WICH FILEEXPLORER DID YOU USED ?
My solution was to copy the original motodisplay.apk to internal (new folder) .
And direct copy the new in systemfolder... then i rebooted directly ...and it worked but only with MotoDisplay (playstore).
But without permissions.... RW-R-R
a small but is that when it shows up ...you cant swipe up... the LCD is black after swipe !

Use Solid file manager

Really looking forward to the idea but I don't think it has something to do with the file browser you use to replace stock MotoDisplay. I'm using root explorer premium which works great. I'm doing it right (including rw-r-r permissions) so my question is, ¿has somebody achieved to make it work like our MotoDisplay? ex. MotoDisplay is enabled when you pick up the phone

Who managed to make it work, was only with movement gives hand on the sensor, installing another app

I didn't have the device nor the time for testing and some people have said that it would also need some .dex/.odex/.oat files. Well I have asked a friend to share with me the entire '/system' folder from potter (g5 plus). I will see what can be done, no promises made.
ANYONE who can contribute to this can help. Can't put much efforts from my side.

FYI, the Moto Display does work on stock. (Not fully but atleast it lights up on a notification) Do not post with half claims/problems. Do a research before posting. If it wasn't working at all, I wouldn't​ even share it here.

I extracted buffcore 10 from lineage pie zip and flashed in twrp. Better battery life than supplied kernel by far.

Download the rom zip from

Copy the boot.img file from the zip to a convenient location, I used xplore file manager as no need to unzip first.
Reboot to twrp and select install - change zip to img (bottom-right) and select the boot.img and swipe to flash. Reboot to system and check about phone, android version and buffcore should be listed as your kernel.
Now reboot into twrp and Flash magisk to patch the new kernel and reboot.
Done.

Battery drain serious still oK?
Ur usage is only 34min on screen
But I see u using gapps that's why but if u can proof with MicroG comparison then u will kno
If after compare both u get same result it is definitely related to the kernel

Not quite, I use smartpack kernel manager and left it on gaming. That is drain due to cpu running at full speed! On balanced much better..... I went gapps free before micro g was a thing and it is a noticeable difference in both responsiveness and battery, but I've not got time to bugger about with it!

Installation​Our kernel doesn't feature init.d, so we can emulate init.d by SMARTPACK KERNAL MANAGER init.d
BEFORE DO THIS
-DOWNLOAD SMARTPACK KERNAL MANAGER
-DOWNLOAD INIT.D SCRIPT (FROM ATTACHMENTS) AND SAVE IT IN INTERNAL STORAGE
1. After downloading smart pack kernel manager open script manager inside it.
2. Tap “plus” icon to add init.script and choose “Import"
3. Now import the downloaded script.
IF ABOVE DOSEN’T WORK, THEN SIMPLY TAP CREATE AND RENAME IT “PERFORMANCE” AND THEN COPY PASTE THE CODE BELOW

Working fine on rooted M31s.
Stock script was error in at ".mali" lines
Edited to match my phone and boom, works great for my phone.

May i know how you got to root M31s?( running latest security update) .
i have been trying to root with TWRP & magisk ; but ending up triggering KG state = prenormal after flashing magisk through twrp.
tried flashing RMM bypass v3 -- but its giving some mount errors "cant mount /system_root "

Flash stock using odin.
Setup the phone and connect to internet using sim network and check for system update. Then enable and check developer options and find if OEM unlocking is shown or wait until it does. Then follow TWRP Guide and root guide is included. Now after booting and setting up root, don't reboot from magisk until you follow the same step as in the stock rom and then reboot.

[DISCONTINUED]100Hz SCREEN Overclock! Sony Xperia XZ [F833X]

Hello, this is just for kicks and giggles due to how the device will struggle due to high refresh rate, but I experimented with this device now (because I just got it). Even if this forum isn't active anymore, I'll just share the boot images that I modified. Basically, other devices uses partition named DTBO to store the blobs of the device tree, which then modders edit the partition contents to overclock the screen. But since our device doesn't have DTBO Partition, I know that it is instead appended to the zImage of the kernel. I just extracted it from zImage, modified and appended it back the zImage again.
YOU HAVE TO BE IN THE LATEST DUALITY PATCHED ROM (.192) TO BE ABLE TO FLASH THIS KERNEL!!
Instructions :
Download the boot image with refresh rate you desire then flash it with either fastboot or TWRP.
ENJOY High Refresh Rate on our Device ) !!!

I'm not sure if variable refreshrate is possible or can be ported yet. Making magisk module is pretty impossible since our device doesn't even have DTBO partition, the device tree blobs are "glued" to the kernel itself. So I'm not really that sure.

Yes, but the device struggles already in operating at 60fps so you'll just notice it at scrolling and some light animations.

im getting this weird glitch. as u can see i have the same duality rom installed. possible issue? i installed magisk 23.

Are you using replacement screen? maybe you're using different panel that's why it's bugging like that.

probably using a replacement lcd. this was given to me last feb. and repair (very bad repair attempt) is noticable. shame

I noticed some light bleeding at the edge too, you got a bad replacement lcd. You can try 75hz if it still bugs out or not.

Currently running on my custom kernel EAS with the Stock Based Lineage OS 15.1 by SJILL.. I dunno if I will share it or not. I feel like this device isn't being worked on anymore. If you want to try then ask me.
